The mute list has started. Don't come for me as if I won't come back, I didn't update last Monday because I have a life outside of Wattpad and my birthday was on a SUNDAY, so I decided to celebrate last week, and let's not forget the 3 chapters I gave y'all the week before. I do apologize for the inconvenience, but life DOES go on outside of this orange app. I'm not mean at all, but don't think you will talk to me crazy in MY comments, in MY book, that YOU are choosing to read. If you don't like the speed of my updates, move around, you may exit left. The book will be finished in the near future, so you're welcomed to wait until then to finish reading. Your choice. It's not all of y'all, but it's enough of you, don't make me the bad guy, just chillat and be patient.

Now, for those of you who still rockin' with it, lets begin the chapter 😌.

Khadijah

I sat up in my bed and stretched my arms out, letting go of a well needed yawn. I looked over at the clock noticing that it was going on two o'clock in the afternoon. I never sleep this late but last night I was up packing forever, preparing to go on my private vacation to the Dominican Republic. This was a well needed trip because I needed my space and some time away from crazy Chicago.

My phone buzzed and I rolled my eyes knowing it was another message from Korie. He'd been blowing my phone up with calls and messages for the past few days and I've gladly ignored them. Don't try to hit me up after I bust your bubble, keep that fake shit.

There was a knock on my door and I immediately grabbed my gun that I'd recently bought from my nightstand.

"Who is it." I asked out of breath after the long journey down the steps.

"Twan!"

I opened the door and greeted him with a warm smiled.

"Damn sis, tuck the heat away. Ion want no smoke." He held his hands up in surrender.

I laughed and shook my head at his playful ways. Out of all the guys, he's the one that I've grown a very playful relationship with, it's like he's my blood brother, just as the rest of them.

"You know I gotta stay with the heat." I waved the gun.

"Hold up, don't get to waving that shit, ion know if that bitch on safety or not." He slowly took the gun away from me checking it.

"Whatever, what brings you these ways?" I walk to the kitchen and grab the bowl of grapes from the refrigerator.

"I came to check on my sis, and my niece." He smiled down at my protruding belly.

"And what makes you so sure it's a girl?"

"Because that's what we want, no hard headed niggas need to pop out of none of y'all." He laughed.

"I wouldn't mind having a boy though."

"When do you find out the gender?" He stole a grape from my bowl.

"Well, when I went to the doctor the other day, they said they could've told me the gender but I didn't allow them to for the simple fact that I wanted my baby's father to be there as well whenever I found out." I mindlessly rolled my eyes.

"Uh-oh, what that nigga did?"

I contemplated on telling him what happened, just because I didn't want to involve him in my drama. After a moment of thinking I decided to just tell him because he'd annoy me until I did anyway.

"I went to the mall with Trinity and Monique about a week ago and I was at the food court in line talking to this guy-"

"Oh nah." He shook his head and folded his arms leaning against the refrigerator.

"Let me finish!"

"Go ahead." He cocked his head to the side.

"I was talking to this guy that I had met at the doctor's office and Trinity took a picture of me talking to him and as if the picture wasn't bad enough, she proceeded to post it on my Instagram page. Then Mo decides to influence her adding the caption 'never give your friends your phone when you're with your side nigga' or something like that."

"Wowwww."

"Right! So I go home and Trey acting all funny and I'm clueless as to why, then he starts questioning me like 'who you been with' and shit, then he shows me the picture and I was standing there looking dumb as fuck because I knew nothing about it!" I rub my temples getting upset all over again.

"Calm down sis, we don't need to put stress on the baby." He pulled a stool out for me to sit down.

"So we start to argue and I told him that the dude and I were talking about baby names and stuff and he got mad saying he's the one that's supposed to help me pick baby names and anything else pertaining to his baby. So I put my foot in my mouth and told him I wouldn't have to go to other niggas about stuff like that if he wasn't always running the streets." I mumbled the last part.

"Damn D, that's a cold thing to say especially when it involves that man's seed. You ain't supposed to go to no other nigga about what's his." He rubbed his growing chin hairs.

"I know, I didn't mean it I was just pissed off at them moment."

"You gotta know how to hold some shit back."

I blew out a breath knowing he was right, I just didn't wanna hear it at the moment.

"After that I told him it's funny how he was overreacting over a meaningless picture but when he cheated on me all those times I came back to him. I asked him did it feel good, because it was way worse when he hurt me. He got mad at me for throwing the cheating in his face again after he's told me that it's in the past, and he broke up with me." I started crying because it hurt to say it.

"Shhh," he rubbed my back, "you know this ain't the end of Dijah and Trey. You just gotta give him some time, cause I ain't gone sit here and sugarcoat it, no man wants his past thrown up in his face especially when he's changed and trying to show you he's changed. That man brings you up in damn near every conversation, you can tell when a nigga love a girl and when he wanna do right by her. I'm not just sayin' it cause that's my dawg, cause I knew you first, I'm sayin' it because it's true and I know he love you, shit I know he in love with you."

I sniffled and pulled myself together.

"I just really miss him and I want him around me." I pouted.

"Well have you told him that?" He opened the pantry pulling out a bag of Lays.

"No, I don't want to bother him, I'll let him have his space and by the time I come back everything should be settled and cooled down."

"Come back from where?"

"Shit." I mumbled to my self.

I didn't want anyone to know where I was going because I didn't want anybody trying to stop me or tell me I shouldn't be going anywhere alone.

"Helloooo." He waved his hand in my face.

"I'm going to the Dominican Republic for seven days, but don't open your mouth about it to anyone, I'm only telling you for safety purposes."

"I don't think that's a good idea D."

"I didn't tell you so you could think." I smiled and stood up walking out of the kitchen and to the living room.

"Man," he sighed, "you better check in with me every night, if you miss one check in I will be tellin' Trey and Korie where ya ass done snuck off to, ight?"

"Yessss Antoine."

"When you leave?"

"I have to be at the airport by three, my flight leaves at five."

"You need a ride there?"

"No I'm gonna take my car and park it there, I'll just have to pay."

He dug in his pocket for his keys and fished them out.

"Well be safe, enjoy ya trip, and if anything feel weird call me. I'll talk to Trin because what she did was dead wrong, but y'all need to get over that shit cause it's something small and petty."

I nodded my head as he opened the door and walked out.

"Love you bear butt!" I yelled.

He shook his head and chuckled. "Love you too ugly!"

I went back in the house and finished packing before heading to the airport.

Korie

I've been calling Khadijah nonstop for the last few days and I haven't gotten an answer or a reply. I'm really to grown for this drama shit, especially between my girl and my sister. Not only that but two grown ass women. Mo didn't even tell me what happened, Trey just told me about the picture and I kind of put two and two together, cause D ain't take the picture herself. I didn't want to be involved because I wanted them to figure this out on they're own, but now I'm kind of forced to be in the middle.

"Mo." I walked into the room as she sat in the bed folding clothes.

"Huh?"

"You know you were wrong for whatever part you played in that picture being taken." I sat on the bed as she had her back towards me.

The room was silent, aside from the clothes being folded.

"You don't hear me?"

"Yes, I hear you."

"Then act like it, you need to call D or go talk to her or something because I can't be having this. Y'all are two grown ass women, three if you count Trin cause I know she was involved too."

"Okay, you didn't even ask me what happened!"

"I don't need to ask, I have all the information I need from Trey. The picture shouldn't have been taken, posted, or seen, that's called bein' messy and you know that ain't you. If roles were reversed and somebody showed me a picture of you all in some nigga's face, the outcome would be the same. I'm just asking that y'all fix it."

I didn't get a response but I heard her sniffling.

"What the fuck? Yo, you cryin'?" I stood up and walked in front of her and lifted her head up towards me, and sure enough there were tears.

"D didn't have to say what she said, I understand my part in this and I was wrong, very wrong, but what she said to me I'd never say to her." She continued crying.

I was a little shocked because Mo rarely ever cries. "You and D are best friends, nothing this small and petty should change things between you two, you know that."

"I'm not saying I'm not her best friend anymore and I'm not saying that I'm completely done talking to her, I'm just upset right now."

"And how do you think she feel? Stop being stubborn and talk to the girl, she's pregnant for cryin' out loud and you know if somethin' happened to her you would be hurt and mad at yourself for not talking to her over something this stupid and childish."

"Shut up! I will!" She whined.

"Stop whining!"

"Stop yelling!" Another tear slipped.

I reached out to wipe her face because I hated seeing her cry.

"Move! Leave me alone." She swatted my hand away. "I'll talk to her."

"Okay, but why the tears?" I was genuinely confused.

"Will you leave me alone please!" She stood up and tried walking past me.

"You was just crying now you mad. You better watch who you talkin' to before I snatch you up." I furrowed my eyebrows and looked her up and down.

And just that fast she started sniffling again.

"You actin' crazy."

I did some math in my head and thought for a few moments.

"Yo lil friend here huh? This around the same time last month when we went on the Cancun trip, you was on yo' lil cycle thing."

"Let me finish folding in peace, goodbye!"

She stood up and pushed me out the door, before closing and locking it.

I stood on the opposite side of the door trying to keep my temper under control.

"You need to set up a doctor's appointment."

"I know what you're thinking, and you know I can't get pregnant." She mumbled as I heard her footsteps going away from the door.

For some reason, even though I already knew that, my heart sank and a sadness took over me. "You still need to go see about them irregular cycles and see if they can do something about it."

I put my ear up to the door and listened for some kind of communication. I could tell that she felt how my energy changed with the pregnant comment. "Ight?"

"Yes." I heard her trying to muffle her cries.

"I'll go get you some tampads or something. And some chocolate ice cream. You want the heating pad?"

"No." She murmured.

"Okay I'll be back in about thirty minutes, call me if you need something." I grabbed my keys and walked downstairs.

I left the house and locked the door before checking around my property making sure nobody was around. I started my car and pulled out the driveway, heading to Walgreens.

Trinity

The coded knock that sounded on the door let me know that it was no one other than my brother on the other side of it.

"Hey Bubby!"

"Don't hey bubby me. What you done got into?"

"What you mean?"

"You know what I mean. Why would you take a picture of Khadijah talking to a nigga and post it on Instagram, her Instagram at that." He leaned back on the couch.

"It was just a joke, I didn't mean for it to turn into something crazy. I've been meaning to get in touch with D but I was advised by Mark to just give her some space."

"What did you think was gonna happen if you posted a picture of her talkin' to another nigga so that her nigga can see it? That seem shady as fuck."

"Now you know I would never do anything like that with malicious intentions. At all, you know I wouldn't. It was just a picture that was taken the wrong way and I will apologize for it because it was wrong and I didn't mean to stir up so much confusion. I'll tell Trey it was me being silly and I took a picture of her having a simple conversation and turned it into a joke."

"Yeah you better, cause it's too much shit goin' on over a picture that my sister took. Think sometimes Trin, that's what you in college for." He tapped the side of his head with his pointer finger.

"Okay, okay! I got it. I'll definitely be calling her when you leave."

My phone buzzed and I looked seeing it was a text from Reem asking me what I was doing. I texted him back and told him I was spending time with my brother.

"So what you been up to?" He asked flipping through the channels on the tv.

"Studying my ass off, literally. I haven't even been eating for real because I've been too caught up in my school work, I've lost like ten pounds." I tugged at the waist line of my loose fitting jeans.

"You supposed to take care of yourself no matter what, your well being is more important than anything." He scolded.

"I know Twan." I sat back ready for his lecture.

"I know Twan," he mimicked, "If you knew better, you'd do better."

I laughed at the comment thinking about our mom because she always used to say that to us when we did something wrong.

The room fell silent and I bit my lip wondering if I should bring up our mom.

"I know she's out there somewhere." I broke the silence.

He nodded his head and played with his chin hairs. "I do too."

"Well why don't we try and fin-"

"How 'bout we don't." He cut me off.

"Antoine."

"No, she had plenty of time and opportunities to come and find us, but she chose not too. I don't care about seeing her, if she walked past me right now I'd keep it pushing like I never knew her."

"Don't say that."

"Why not, it's true!"

I pursed my lips and decided to leave the conversation alone.

"I love you, and I'd do anything to protect you. I don't want you to feel like you need either of them, I gotchu now and forever."

I nodded my head and held my pinky out to him.

He smirked and locked his pinky with mine, before twisting it ending in a fist bump, our little handshake that we've had since we were kids.

My phone buzzed again and I quickly grabbed it.

Reem

"Yes? No?"

"I'm sorry, what were you saying?"

"Who you texting that got you smilin' and shit?" Twan grilled me.

"Just a friend."

"What kind of friend? Boy or girl?"

"Boy." I rolled my eyes.

"Oh so you got a boyfriend?!" He cocked his head back.

"What?! No crazy, you tricked me!" I laughed. "I have a friend that is a guy, just a friend."

"Well I wanna meet this friend that is a guy, just a friend." He stood up.

"Okay, maybe soon. You guys could smoke a little somethin'." I stood up and followed him to the door.

"Oh yeah, he my type of nigga if he can keep up with me in a smoke session." He laughed and walked out the door.

"I'll make sure to let him know. Bye bubs!"

He threw up the peace sign and hopped in his car before pulling off.

I shook my head and exited our messages. I scrolled through my phone until I got to Khadijah's number and pressed the dial button.

After about seven rings, it went to voicemail so I decided to just send her a text.

Me
Hey, I called you to apologize and let you know that I'm aware of how stupid and wrong I was for the whole situation. I'm so sorry that things happened the way they did, and I'm sorry for not getting in touch with you sooner. It's all love on this end, and you're forever my sister. There's no getting rid of me!😘😘 I love you!! -4:07 p.m.

I shot Trey a text telling him how everything was a joke and it was me who posted the picture and D wasn't doing anything wrong.

While I waited for any possible replies I jumped on Instagram.
