"Wake up mamas." I rubbed my cold hand against her thigh.

"Mmmm." She groaned and maneuvered in the bed.

"Dijah, come on. We got a flight to catch in two hours, you was supposed to been got up." I put my hands on her face.

"Why are your hands so damn cold." She thew the covers off of her body and slid out the bed.

"Because I was outside loading our shit up in the car. Now let's go," I clapped my hands in her face as she stretched, "chop chop."

She stared at me for a moment before pointing to the door. "Go."

"I ain-"

"Now before I slap you. Get out." She was still pointing towards the door.

"That's okay! She'll be back, another Quaalude, she'll love me in the morning!" I quoted Smokey from the movie 'Friday'.

She started to chase me but I ran out the room and she slammed the door. I heard her yelling from the other side but I just laughed and continued down the hall.

"Look at Miss grumpy pants, someone doesn't like waking up early just like their mean ol' tt." I picked Lyric up and kissed her cheek.

She woke up around the time I got up because her and I went to bed early last night. Mo, Trinity, and Dijah stayed up playing in makeup, and Korie, Mark, Tez, Caymen, Antoine and Raymond stayed up playing 2K.

"Where we goin'?"

"On vacaaaaation." I exaggerated.

"Where's that?" She furrowed her eyebrow.

"Vacation ain't a place, it's a- you know what never mind. But we're goin' out the country for a lil bit, a lil place called Cancuuuuun." I waved my hand out in front of us as if I was showing her the scenery.

"Cancuuuuun! It sounds so fun!" She wiggled out of my arms and ran back to her room at full speed.

"Slow down, cause if you hurt ya self ya can't go nowhere."

I turned away slightly laughing as I shook my head, making my way further down the hall ready to do wake up calls.

I knocked on Korie and Mo's door first. "Get y'all asses up, we got a flight to catch!"

I moved down to the other guest room, and banged on the door. "Get the fuck up!" I knocked harder and louder, but the door being snatched open made me halt.

"Really? You gotta be that damn obnoxious?" Mo scowled.

"My bad, I thought you was in the room with Ko-" I was cut off by the door slamming in my face.

"Maybe I need to just cancel the fuckin' trip! Since everybody in this bitch trippin'."

Shortly after that, doors began to open and crust filled faces were shown.

"Rise and shine." I smiled at everyone.

"Do you have everything, cause we not turnin' around once we hit the highway."

"Yes, I have everything Trey damn."

I stood there looking confused as to why I was getting so much attitude from her today. I pulled her back to me and turned her face so that she was looking me in my eyes.

"Girl you betta' cut allat out before I have to show you."

"Can you just leave me alone, please?" She snatched away from me and grabbed her makeup bag off the kitchen counter, before heading out the door.

I checked my pockets making sure I had my phone and my wallet, I jogged upstairs making sure everything was off, and the security cameras were rolling. After making sure everything was straight, I headed out the door and locked up the house.

"We good bro?" Korie yelled from the driveway as he stuffed bags in his trunk.

"Great." I reassured him.

We were taking three cars to the airport, mine, Korie's and Mark's. Once everyone was situated, we all pulled off, circling the house once, then towards the airport.

We were twenty minutes into the drive, with forty-five to go, and to say I was ready to get on the plane and take a nap was an understatement.

"Uncle Trey." Lyric called from the backseat.

"Yessss?"

"I gotta go potty."

"This is gonna be a long ride." I said to myself turning off of the next exit.

Mo

We had finally boarded the plane and the uncomfortable seats had already started to make me anxious to get off.

We were supposed to be in first class, but the airport's gate agents said we weren't placed there for some reason. Even after showing her the confirmation emails and even the price Trey paid for our seats, but in her words, there was nothing she could do about it. And to make matters worse, we didn't even have time to argue with the lady because we were late, and it was last call for our flight.

To say we had a hard time was the least, but hopefully this trip will make up for it.

"Mark can you please switch seats with me?" I poked my head above the seat he was sitting in, in front of Korie and I.

"Why? My seat feels just like yours, stiff."

I huffed and rolled my eyes before fixing my attitude up.

"I know but, the seat next to you is empty and I just wanna relax, my back is killin' me and I want to put my feet up."

"You have a man right next to you, put ya feet in his la-"

I cut him off by sending a hard thump to his right ear, making him damn near jump out the seat.

"If I wanted to put my feet in his lap I would've, I clearly asked you for a reason. Ight?"

He got up and smacked his lips as he eyed me.

"Thanks bro." I smiled and slid past him to get into the seat that was once his.

About fifteen minutes past, and I was in a daze staring out the window watching the hazy clouds roll past.

"Sprite and-"

I turned to look at the flight attendant holding a can of sprite and some lays chips.

"Oh, no that must be my brother's. He's-"

"Ma'am there's no seat swapping on the plane. Pilot's rules." She flashed a fake smile.

"I don't see the problem with it?" I challenged.

"The problem is, if something were to happen, God forbid, we would need everyone accounted for in the seats they were assigned. Now, would you return to the seat that was assigned to you? Thanks."

"Well if we wanna get technical, the seat that was assigned to me is all the way up there, in first class. So sure, I'll make my way to the seat that was assigned to me." I stood up and felt my arm being grabbed and for a split second I thought it was little miss perfect.

I looked down at the hand and then up to the person it was attached to, Korie.

"Bae, please just come sit down, where you were at first. We got three more hours, just sit down and relax. Please?" He loosened his grip on my arm.

"Fine since you're on her side." I rolled my eyes and moved towards my original seat as Mark stood up and returned back to his.

I plopped down in the seat and crossed my arms.

"Here you go sir, would you like a new can of sprite? It might be a little room temperature by now." She said throwing a hint of shade.

"Sure and while you're at it, get you something to quench that thirst you have." I shot her a smile.

"I'll be good, thanks." Mark took the soda and chips from her hands.

She gave me a dry look before turning and assisting someone else.

I let out a breath of air and ran my hands down my pant legs.

"You ight?" Korie looked at my nervous hands and  back up to me.

"I'm good."

"Look I'm-" he stopped talking while another passenger passed our row of seats, "I'm not about to keep playin' with you and this attitude, with this two hours we got left on this plane I want you to think about everything you have on yo mind and want to talk to me about. And I mean everything, cause when we land and get to that room we gone talk, ight? Cause we ain't goin' through this again."

"I should be the one makin' the rules seeing as thou-"

He grabbed my face and pressed his soft lips against mine, making me forget what I was about to say. The kiss was long and passionate, and as much as I wanted to be mad at him and push him away, I couldn't find the strength to do it.

He finally let up for air, placing one final kiss on my forehead. My eyes were closed, as I tried to gather my soul and get my life together.

I hated how one simple kiss from him could make me melt like butter, or a few seconds under his gaze could make me feel like a little girl with a middle school crush.

"Two hours and thirty six minutes, get to thinkin'." He broke me from my thoughts placing a hand on my thigh.

"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Sunset Airport. Local time is 5 p.m and the temperature is 71 degrees Fahrenheit. For your safety and comfort, please remain seated with your seat belt fastened until the Captain turns off the Fasten Seat Belt sign. This will indicate that we have parked at the gate and that it is safe for you to move about. At that time, you may use your cellular phones if you wish.

Please check around your seat for any personal belongings you may have brought on board with you and please use caution when opening the overhead bins, as heavy articles may have shifted around during the flight.

If you require deplaning assistance, please remain in your seat until all other passengers have deplaned. One of our crew members will then be pleased to assist you.

On behalf of Delta Airlines and the entire crew, I'd like to thank you for joining us on this trip and we are looking forward to seeing you on board again in the near future. Have a nice stay!"

I impatiently waited for the fasten seatbelt sign to turn off so I could begin to gather my things before everyone crowded in the center aisle, pulling things from the top.

The light went off and I unbuckled my seat belt and hopped up from my seat. Reaching directly above, I grabbed my purse, my makeup bag, and my carry on bag.

"Where's Lyric's bag?" I threw Korie his bag.

"Dijah got it." He nodded his head towards D.

After everyone got their things together, the plane's exit door was opened and everyone filed out.

"I have to go pee." Lyric grabbed my hand as we walked through the airport.

"Can you wait until we get our bags sweetie? It'll just be a second."

"No I can't hold it." She squirmed.

"Ladies go to the restroom, we'll get all the bags." Trey announced.

We handed our carry on bags, and purses to them.

"Man, take ya purse." Tez smacked his lips.

"Just hold it, I'll be right back." Trinity fanned him off.

"This look real suspect." Tez rolled his eyes and angrily flung the purse over his shoulder.

"Well when you wear it like that-"

"Bye man!" Tez cut Trinity's sentence short before heading towards baggage claim.

"I can do it by myself Mo." Lyric smiled at me.

"You sure?" She nodded her head and closed the stall door.

"But you cant sit on the toilet," I heard her belt jiggling, "you need me to come hold you up?"

"No, I'm a big girl Mo."

"Okay...let me know if you need me, I'll be right here."

I didn't get a response, so I pulled out my phone and checked my emails.

"Hey best friend. What's wrong?" Dijah came and rested her chin on my shoulder.

"Nothing. Why, does it seem like there's something wrong?" I tried to play it off.

"Cut the crap, I know when there's something wrong. Buuuuut if you don't wanna tell me then I guess I'll just leave you alone." She sighed and dramatically walked away.

I shook my head and laughed at her silly antics. Of course I wanted to tell her what was wrong, but I felt it wasn't my place, Korie is her big brother and if he wanted her to know he'd tell her. But as for me, I don't even know the story myself, so how could I tell someone else.

"I washed my hands Mo! Smell!" Lyric raised her hands in the air for me to smell.

"Oooh, nice!" I high fived her as we headed out the restroom.

"What, you had to shit?!" Raymond yelled as soon as we walked out.

"Would you shut up! I was waiting for Lyric."

"Blame it on the baby! Blame it on the baby!" He grabbed her up and tickled her sides.

She laughed uncontrollably as she begged Raymond to put her down. It was so adorable watching her bond with all the guys, they really treat her as their niece and she loves each of them like an uncle.

"Cabs outside, leggo." Trey announced as we rolled our luggage to the huge glass doors that seemed like three football fields away from us.

Once outside, and our luggages were carefully put in, we climbed inside the van and headed towards the resort.

"This is soooo nice!" Dijah squealed grabbing me and Trinity by the hands.

"It is, Trey, you've done well my child." Trinity teased.

"Yeah yeah yeah, everybody go to their rooms, get unpacked and relax because at ten we got a club to hit." Trey rubbed his hands together.

"You hear that ladies?! TEN!" Caymen emphasized. "Don't be takin' all day, we got exactly three hours and twenty eight minutes."

"That's all Dijah." Korie laughed busting her out.

"It takes time to look this good, but, I'm not going anyway because someone said clubs aren't for me at the moment." She looked at Trey while rubbing her small belly.

"I did, my babies don't need to be around all that." He bent down and kissed her stomach.

"They are so corny." Trinity elbowed my arm and laughed.

I smiled a bit and pulled out my phone checking the time.

"Well I'm about to head to the room, see you guys." I reached for the key.

"I'm comin' too, I got it." Korie held the key back. "Come in baby girl."

"I'm going with Tt D and the baby." She held her face against her belly. "The baby said he wants me to come."

"How you know it's a boy?" Dijah asked.

"He told me!" She excitedly pointed to her belly.

"I knew it!" Trey smiled from ear to ear.

"Boy come on!" Khadijah grabbed Lyric's hand and her suitcase.

When we got in the room I quietly took off my shoes and hopped in the bed. I just wanted to lay down and not be bothered.

"You not even gone look around this big ass room?" Korie asked as he began unpacking Lyric's bag.

"Later."

He stopped what he was doing and walked over to the bed, taking a seat and rubbing his temples.

"Let's talk now before I really get pissed off."

I blew out a breath and rolled my eyes.

"Talk."

"Why you got coke sittin' up in the house?" I snapped.

"Because I sell it."

"Since when? Because I sure as hell didn't know about you selling cocaine."

"I got a connect that plugged me in on it, it bring in fast cash and-"

"What the fuck you mean fast cash?!"

"Fast cash as in the cash I spend on your for that expensive shit you like! You don't complain about it then!"

"That's your choice to buy me expensive shit, cause I ain't never opened my mouth and asked you for something cause baby I can get it on my own! So don't sit here and act like I'm some gold diggin' ass hoe! Cause that's where you got me fucked up at." I waved my finger around.

"What's the difference between me sellin' weed and guns versus sellin' cocaine?"

"The difference is you don't keep big amounts of that shit at your house! Where your daughter lays her head, where we lay our head." I pointed between us. "Does Trey and them know you sell coke?"

"No, and that ain't got shit to do with nothin'."

"When you're at the trap, I know you're with some niggas that ain't gone let nothin' happen to you." I stared at him. "You out here slingin' coke like some lil corner boy and nobody knows. Anything could happen, a set up or anything! What am I supposed to tell Lyric if you don't come home one night, and aint nobody seen or heard from you? Huh?" Tears stung my eyes thinking about it.

"Look-"

"No you look, I ain't never had nothing this close to a family in a long ass time. Don't you dare try to take it from me!" I finally broke down and cried.

He came over to me and cradled me in his arms like a baby.

"I'm done with it. I'm sorry." He gently kissed my tears away. "I'm right here, I ain't goin' no where." He held me tighter.

"Thank you."

"You sure you ain't pregnant," he chuckled, "you been real emotional the past couple of days."

It was silent for a moment before I decided to answer.

"Today marks the third anniversary since I lost my baby."
