Chapter 48

We were on our way to IHOP when I got a call from Ashley saying she needed some help. She has been a big help and she was sweetheart. She says that she is my other work wife. She really is though. They all take care of me and have taken a lot off my shoulders. So far she has been doing really well. She is really good with people and that helps a lot, but she lacks some Confidence in the prep room.

"Rain we better not be here all day," Miguel said.

"I won't. Just gotta check on the intern real quick," I said as I adjusted my tie.

I looked over at Mila and winked. She looked at me and smiled. I bit down on my bottom lip as her dimples started to deepen and her cheeks started to turn into the color of roses. I watched as she put her hands up to her face and giggled.

I licked my lips. I wanted to feel her lips against mines. I smirked and grabbed her hand pulling it away from her face.

"No husband! None of that in my presence," Miguel said.

"Stop Nora," Frankie said and giggled.

"We separating when you get back HUSBAND!" Miguel yelled.

"Watch this," I said so only me and Mila can hear.

I pressed the button and nodded my head to the back. Just as Miguel was about to say something. I smirked as I heard Mila laugh and Miguel cut his eyes hard as hell.

"Dammmmn Rain let m..." Before Nora could finish her statement the window was up.

I smiled and looked at Mila who was staring at me with her eyebrow up.

"Why do you have that?" She asked me.

"I use my truck sometimes if we don't have enough cars," I said and licked my lips.

I watched as she leaned over the center console. She smiled at me and ran my tie through her fingers. I watched as she moved her hand up my tie and onto the knot.

"Don't forget you gotta come up out of this. When you come back," she said and readjusted the knot on my tie.

"You gonna help me out of it Ms. Rose?" I asked her as I looked at her lips.

She smiled and nodded her head yes as she slowly leaned closer to me. I bit down on my bottom lip as I watched her lips start to form her words.

"I will always help you out of it," she said.

I smirked and let her soft lips met mines. I felt her lips move against mines. She slowly started to suck on my bottom lip. She slowly pulled back and pecked my lips.

"Damn," I said smirked at her.

"Go Rain," she said and laughed.

"No,"  I Said as she smirked at me.

I smiled and just looked at her. She was looking so damn sexy. She had on a black nike windbreaker, black ripped jeans with black leggings underneath and I can only imagine what's underneath those. I licked my lips as my eyes travel down her legs and landed on the pair of white converse.

"Let's go," she said as I watched her raised her perfectly arched eyebrow.

I let my eyes wander down to her nude matte lipstick. I licked my lips. She was looking super sexy. She had put her hair into a messy bun. Which I do plan on making it a lot messier than what it is. I watched as she looked at me and her dimples deepened. She placed her hand on my cheek.

"I know you thinking something nasty," she said.

"Very nasty," I said and smirked.

She laughed and pecked my lips.

"Let's go baby," she said and opened the door.

I smirked and let the partition back down. I rolled my eyes these niggas then found my stash.

"Damn Rain you got hella liquor back here," Nora said.

"Yes husband! This makes up for your ignorance," Miguel said and giggled.

I rolled my eyes.

"We will be back," I said and got out the car.

I closed my door and waited for Mila to get out. She got out after cussin Frankie out and laughing.

I shook my head and grabbed her hand as she closed the door. soon as we stepped foot in the door Ashley ran up to me on the verge of crying.

"What's wrong?" I asked her.

"I think I fucked up Rain," she said as she looked up at me.

I raised my eyebrow.

"Like big fuck up or little fuck up?" I asked her.

"I don't know!!" She said.

I looked over at a worried Mila. I looked back at a scared Ashley. She was about to start bawling.

"What happened ?" I asked her.

She didn't say anything. She grabbed my hand and pulled me into the prep room. If she embalmed a body that was suppose to be cremated that's fine. But don't let it be the other way round. Maybe she dropped the body. That wouldn't be too bad, I would be piss though. I looked back at Mila who was standing there. I nodded my head telling her to follow us. She smirked and started to walk our way as Ashley pulled me into the prep room.

"Now what happened Ash?" I said as Mila walked through the door.

I watched as Ash eyes traveled back and forth between the two of us. She smirked and moved her hand back and forth between the two of us.

"Y'all cute or whatever," she said in this fake ass Bronx accent.

I heard Mila laugh and I rolled my eyes.

"Ash," I said.

She looked back at me and nodded before she started hyperventilating again.

"It just happened so fast," she said and pulled back the sheet.

I laughed and shook my head. I felt Mila hit me in my arm. I looked over at her as she was holding in her laugh.

"I'm sorry," I said as I took my fist from my mouth.

I kept laughing as she pointed over to Ash who had tears streaming down her face.

"Oh I'm sorry baby girl," I said as I walked over and gave her a hug.

"You are a ass Rainie," she mumbled as her and Mila both laughed.

"Sometimes," I said.

"It's not super bad. Just put pressure on it. Just put a wet compress on it. If it's still bad tomorrow I'll show you a little trick," I told her.

"But it's her eye, how do you fix an eye," she said and looked at me questionable.

"I'll show you tomorrow," I told her.

"I hate you Rain!" She yelled out.

I laughed and wrapped my arm around Mila's shoulder.

"Y'all are nuts," she said as we got outside.

I smirked as we made our way over to my truck of slightly drunk passengers. I told them about day drinking. As soon as me and Mila got in the truck my name was being called.

"Yooooo Rain where you get these brownies son?!" Frankie said and laughed.

"Got damn it Nora! Imma beat yo high yellow ass boy," I semi yelled and turned my body to face Nora.

"Shut yo suit and tie ass up nigga!" She said and laugh.

I turned around and looked at Miguel who was laughing his ass off. He was high as shit.

"Keep touching my shit Nora," I said as I grabbed her by her shirt and started to shake her.

Miguel busted up laughing. Nora was laughing and Mila was prying my hands off Nora shirt.

"Would y'all children stop it," Mila said and laughed.

I sighed and turned around letting the window up.

"I wanna be on their level," she said and looked at me.

I laughed and nodded my head to the glove compartment. She smirked at me and opened it getting the two rice Krispy treats out.

"Nora hates those," I said and smirked.

She looked at me and nodded as she began to unwrap them. She handed me one.

"Thank you Ms. Rose," I said and I winked at her and pulled off.
