Gracie ~

I sat in the library, reading a text book that cost more than my car, completely lost in my own thoughts.

I would quiz myself periodically, lifting my head from the book so I could think, but when I lifted my gaze my eyes landed on Wes instead. He was on the other side of the library heading my way, giving me a panty dropping smile as our eyes locked.

He looked so yummy in his t-shirt and jeans that hugged his muscles in just the right places.

The girls at the table beside me had their eyes fixated on him, but I didn't care. His eyes never left mine.

"How's my little brainiac?" He said, coming  around behind me and placing a kiss on my neck.

"Better now." I said with a grin.

"Wanna take a break?"

"Sure I could use a ten minute break." I said, grateful for a reason to close the textbook in front of me that had been sucking the life out of me for the past three hours.

"Oh I'm gonna need a lot longer than ten minutes." He said playfully against my hair.

Wes' deep voice and suggestive words cause my breath to catch and my body to stiffen.

"Relax Gracie, I'm not talking about that...but we can do that later if you want." He dropped his voice with his words and I could feel his lips against my ear as he spoke.

My chest rose and fell and I swallowed hard, trying to conceal how much that appealed to me.

"Well if you're not talking about that, what are you talking about?" I asked as I shifted in my chair.

"Laser tag." He said proudly.

"Laser tag? How old are you?" I chuckled.

"Well it kind of started off as a joke between Chad and I until I told him I'd completely annihilate him in an actual game of laser tag. Next thing I know he's got a laser tag place in the gps."

"And how did I manage to earn an invite to this competition?"

I was so amused with Wes at the moment. He was dominating and intimidating in every aspect of his life, but he was giddy with excitement to go play laser tag. Just goes to show that all men are little boys deep down and never truly grow up.

"Maggie was at the house and wanted to tag along, suggested we make it a team event."

"And you're recruiting me?" I sassed with an arched brow.

"Of course I am."

My mind raced with all the things that I had to get done for school that evening.

"I don't know Wes, I've got a lot to do here and taking a break for two or three hours would put me behind..." my voice trailed off when Wes put his had him it a stop motion.

"Say no more baby, you do what you've gotta do. No pressure."  He said as he planted a quick peck on my cheek before standing to leave.

"But Uh, you should know...there's a running bet going that you'll say no and won't come. Just sayin'"

I narrowed my eyes at him and folded my arms across my chest.

"Who said I'd say no?" I demanded.

"Mandy." Wes confirmed with a smirk.

She always says I study too much and I'm no fun...I'm tons of fun.

I slapped my book shut and gave Wes a mischievous grin.

"Oh I'm going." I sassed.

An hour later Wes, Blake, and Chad were standing in the dark arena with Maggie, Mandy, and myself.

The area had all sorts of structures to hide behind and climb on, but the whole place was dark, only illuminated by black lights.

I had never played laser tag before, but this was much more intense than I had anticipated. I fidgeted in my vest that had sensors on the front and back that would flash if I got shot, and held my laser tag rifle that was as almost as long as my arm.

"So how are we doing this? Three teams?" Blake asked.

"I think we should do boys versus girls." Mandy said arrogantly.

"You sure about that?" Wes asked me with a cocky grin.

"Absolutely." I sassed.

"So confident. Let's make it a little interesting then," Wes said.

"Fine, if I win you take me to dinner and a movie and I get to pick the movie."

"And if I win?" Wes asked with a competitive look in his eye that made my knees weak.

My thoughts drifted back to his comment in the library and I couldn't help myself.

"Then I'll give you whatever you want." I said seductively.

Wes' chest inflated slightly and he gave me a charming half smile before letting his tongue sweep over his bottom lip.

"Big mistake sweetheart."

"And why's that?"

Wes took a few steps toward me as he spoke.

"Because either way...I win." He said, giving me a peck on the top of the head as he passed.

I knew Wes was going to win either way. With the amount of guns he had in his room and the way he described his hunting skills, I knew the girls and I didn't stand a chance.

We took stances on opposite sides of the arena with a big clock on the wall starting a countdown from ten. As soon as the clock hit two seconds Wes gave me an effortless wink before raising his gun, hugging it tightly against his shoulder and lowering his head so his cheek rested against it.

The buzzer sounded and before Maggie, Mandy, or I could shoot or run for cover Wes fired off three shots in rapid succession, making each of our bests flash bright red.

Jerk.

The three of us scattered trying to find cover while we shot at the boys occasionally. It was fun and freeing to run around like kids, chasing each other in the dark and laughing without a care in the world.

Once we got a feel for the layout of the arena we started to score a few points by sneaking up on the boys from above or below the large structures.

I was peeking behind one of the walls in a dark corner of the arena when I heard Wes whistle behind me.

Dropping my shoulders in defeat I turned over my shoulder, only to see Wes with his gun raised and trained on me.

"I surrender" I said, setting my gun down and holding my hands up.

Wes let his gun hang by the strap on his side.

"There's no surrender in laser tag Gracie," he chuckled as he approached me slowly in the darkness, backing me up against the corner.

"There is when I play." I said, loving how close he was to me.

"You sayin you wanna be my prisoner?"

His voice was playful and seductive and I couldn't get enough of it. He let his arms snake around my waist as he grabbed my hips and pulled me toward him.

"And what would you do to me if I was?" I asked, raising up onto my top toes to give him easier access to my lips.

He ran his nose up the side of my neck, causing me to close my eyes and shudder.

"Mmm the things I would do to you Gracie." He said in a husky voice that vibrated against my neck.

"Show me." I rasped before I could stop the words from leaving my lips.

He raised his brows at me and his darkened slightly at my words.

"My little Gracie's got a wild side."

I felt his lips make contact with my skin as his tongue traced tiny patterns on my neck as he kissed a trail up to my ear.

"But I can't show you here."

"Such a gentleman." I hummed with a grin at his refusal.

Wes pulled away, pressing his forehead against mine as he smiled down at me with a mischievously cocky smile.

Suddenly my vest lit up red and I heard the buzz and kill noise echo from the speakers on my chest.

No. He. Did. Not.

"Did you just shoot me?" I asked with a laugh in disbelief.

All I got was an arrogant smile in return as my eyes adjusted enough to see Wes' finger on the trigger.

"I may be a gentleman...but I'm also a winner." He said playfully.

I rolled my eyes at him and let out a laugh at how competitive he was.

"So what's my prize?" He asked, pinning me against the wall.

I swallowed hard as my eyes darted back and forth from his eyes to his lips.

"Whatever you want." I said softly.

"Then let's get out of here." He said with a grin.

I knew that I needed to study instead of going back to Wes' place, but I wanted him. And as nervous as I was, I knew Wes would take care of me.
