Wes ~

Our house was full of people and the party was fun, but it would have been a lot more enjoyable if Gracie had been there.

Chad and I were kicking ass and taking names at the beer pong table, but I made sure to check my phone occasionally between throws.

"So fucking pussy whipped." Chad scoffed, shaking his head at me.

"Don't act like you haven't been doing the same thing." I said, giving him a playful shove.

I never thought I would have joined the boyfriend ranks alongside Chad, but here we were and I had to admit, I didn't hate it.

Several girls had swarmed the table and were trying to show off and draw attention to themselves, but I only had eyes for Gracie. It was easy to ignore them, until a high pitched nasally voice echoed from behind me like nails on a chalkboard.

"Weeees!" Trisha said my name in the most annoying way possible.

"Hey Trisha." I said without really looking at her.

"Baby I've missed you. I know we had a little misunderstanding a while back, but I'm ready to forgive you." She said cluelessly.

Not fucking interested.

"Thanks?" I said, scrunching my face in confusion before I sunk a ball into a cup across the table.

She approached me from behind wearing so much perfume it made my nose burn. That smell used to make me horny because I knew she was a sure thing. We used to be fuck buddies without emotional attachment, but I was starting to see that was only half way true, because she was fucking attached and I was over it.

"So what do you say we disappear into one of these bedrooms and...make up." She whispered into my ear.

Not happening.

I took a step to my left, putting space between us, removing her hand from my shoulder.

"I've got a girlfriend, Trisha." I said flatly.

Her eyes narrowed at me and she looked pissed. Really pissed.

"I thought you said you didn't do girlfriends." She hissed, folding her arms across her chest.

That was my way of telling you I didn't want you as a girlfriend.

"Yeah well, things change." I said, not looking at her as I continued to play.

Take the hint Trisha.

A sadistic grin spread across her face as she closed in on me once again, failing to realize that I wasn't interested.

"She doesn't have to know. Our arrangement was sex only remember? A quickie wouldn't hurt anyone. I promise I won't tell." She said, touching me again which I hated.

I took her hand firmly in mine, removing it from my skin and pushing it away.

"Trisha, I said I'm not interested. I've got a girlfriend and whatever arrangement we had is now over." My voice was cold and I glared at her for touching me.

Tears welled in her eyes as she snatched her hand from mine and glared back at me with a hateful, spiteful expression.

"You're making a mistake...but you'll come around." She snapped.

I was losing my temper and clenched my back teeth to keep from yelling.

"Trisha, take the fucking hint. We're done." I growled.

She huffed a few angry breaths at my words and I thought she might start crying, but her angry expression quickly dissolved into a malicious smile that was unsettling to say the least.

"Fine." She said with a grin that made my stomach churn before turning to leave.

I shook my head and refocused my attention on the game.

"Jesus, that was brutal to watch." Chad Chuckled.

"How many times do I have to fucking say I don't want her?"

"Eh she'll get over it." Chad said before landing the winning ball.

I pulled my phone from my pocket and grinned when I saw a text from Gracie waiting for me.

Gracie: Change of plans! We cut our girls night short and are heading your way.

Wes: Hell yes, see you in a few.

Looking at the time stamp I realized the text had come through ten minutes ago.

Shit, I need to hop in the shower.

"Our girls are on their way, I'm gonna go take a quick shower."

"Why?" Chad asked.

"I came in straight from the gym and I smell like shit."

I had every intention of getting as close as possible to Gracie once she arrived and didn't want to smell like a dirty gym sock for her.

"It'll take me five minutes, if she gets here before I'm done, just tell her where I am."

Leaving the beer pong table, I pushed through the crowd and grabbed a towel from the laundry room as I headed toward my room to shower. I entered my room with an uncontrollable smile on my face that Gracie was on her way, making sure to leave the door unlocked in case she wanted to...join me.

This was going to be the fastest shower of my life and as I stood beneath the hot stream of water, I went through every possible way I could convince Gracie to stay the night with me. Whether we messed around or not, I just wanted her in my bed. I wanted her near me all the fucking time.

I lathered and rinsed, making sure I got the stink of the gym off of my skin before turning off the water and stepping out. I brushed my teeth and ran my towel through my wet hair a few times before wrapping it around my waist as I opened the door to my bedroom.

As soon as I opened the door, I saw Gracie's tiny body in the doorway which made my heart stutter beneath my ribs, but that moment was short lived when I saw her expression harden and her chin start to quiver.

What the hell? What's wrong baby?

I followed her shocked sorrowful gaze toward my bed only to find the most disgusting sight I'd ever seen. My mouth went dry and my stomach dropped, draining all the color from my face when my eyes landed on a completely naked Trisha, clinging to the sheets of my bed as she covered herself.

"Oops. guess we can't go for round two now." Trisha said maliciously, sending me a fuck you smile.

What? No!

Gracie's mouth dropped open and her shoulders caved as her sad expression dissolved into anger. Her brows drew together and a tear fell down her cheek that she aggressively swiped away before quickly turning to leave.

"Gracie wait! She's fucking lying." I screamed, chasing after her, but she had already pushed through the crowded hallway.

I let out a loud growl of frustration at the ceiling and turned my attention toward Trisha who was cackling like the heartless bitch she was.

"Get the hell out of my room you fucking bitch." I yelled at Trisha, trying to keep from physically throwing her out of my room.

I got dressed as quickly as possible and took off running down the hall toward Gracie. I was frantic and terrified as I searched the crowded party for any sign of her.

Please don't believe her baby. You know me better than this. Please.
