ISAAC'S POV

I sat on the sofa in the hotel rooms balcony on Saturday morning as I looked out into the vast ocean. I was enjoying some coffee while waiting for Marini to wake up. We had gotten back late last night and I guess we were both justified for wanting to sleep in. Having had a strict schedule the past ten years of my life didn't allow me to sleep in but I guess staying up until three in the morning would wear anyone out.

I had gotten up at six to enjoy the sunrise. It had been beautiful and I had taken a few photos to brag to Jeremy later. I'd skipped my morning jog not feeling up to it. It was now nine am and I was on my second cup of coffee because it's all I had made that morning being too lazy to get to the phone and order room service for breakfast.

Lazy Saturday's were definitely a thing and I wondered what Marini and I would do for the day. I knew she wasn't going into the office because she had instructed Caleb to not call her unless the building was burning down. She needed the break after the stress of the past two days and I completely agreed with her. A lot of changes had been made at the office and I only knew about them because I had watched people go into Marini's office all day Friday and come out smiling meaning their requests had been met. She was a good boss if you did your job well, cross her and that was a whole different story.

"Good morning." The recent occupant of my thoughts greeted as she settled herself next to me on the long white sofa.

"Morning." I mumbled back sneaking in a glance at her from the corner of my eye.

She was dressed in one of the hotels white fluffy robes and some thick socks. She was wearing a sleeping cap for her hair and her face was make up free. She looked beautiful and radiant as her face was illuminated by the morning sun rays and I had to look at the ocean before I made a fool out of myself. The feelings I had towards her needed to stop.

It wasn't the first time I had seen her straight after she got out of bed but it was the first time I was noticing all the little details about her. Like how plump her bottom lip was and how perfectly it would fit clamped between my teeth. Her eyes were brown but she had a dark ring around her iris making her eyes more alluring. She had a beauty spot just below her right ear and another one on her neck. Oh what I would do for a chance to kiss each and everyone of them.

I really needed to stop thinking about her like that. Marini was my boss and would never be anything more than that. She didn't even see me that way and never would. All my feelings were one sided and I had to accept that and move on.

"Why are you looking at me like that? Do I have something someone on my face? Toothpaste stains? " Marini asked feeling around her mouth.

On hearing her question I blinked twice to get out of the trance her beauty had put me in and chuckled so I didn't seem like a freak.

"No nothing. You look okay. More than okay." I replied mumbling that last part to myself.

"Oh good." She breathed in relief and what she did next almost had me jumping off the balcony and into the sand below.

She took the mug that was in my hands and took a sip of my coffee. Her lips touched exactly where mine were a few minutes ago. In a teenagers words we were practically kissing. I needed to get a grip. I was way more mature than that.

"So I was thinking that we should just order breakfast which I already did before I came out here before heading out to the beach. I feel like having one of those colourful tropical drinks and catching some sun." She suggested.

"You want us to go to the beach?" I asked my voice coming out scratchy and croaked at the thought of seeing Marini in a bikini.

Why me?

"Yeah unless you are allergic to the sun or something. You're skin is more brown than white but some sunscreen might help." She added.

"I'm not allergic to the sun. I just thought we would go sightseeing. I haven't been to Mombasa before." I suggested trying to get her to forget the idea of the beach.

"We will get a chance to do that. We are going be here all week but I really want to go to the beach today. The coast is my absolute favorite vacation destination and since we're already here I thought why not?" She said.

"We're staying longer?" I asked.

"Yeah I still need to find the mole who was working with Martin before we head back. If you don't want to go to the beach just say it. I can go on my own and hook you up with one of our tour guides to show you around."She responded.

"No I'm coming. We can go sight seeing later."I declared a little too fast not wanting to be away from her.

"Great. Breakfast is here." She cheered when she heard a knock on the door. She placed the coffee mug on the table and got up to go and get our breakfast.

I normally would have offered to get it myself but I needed a minute to come into terms with what I had just agreed to.

There was no way I was allowing Marini to go to the beach alone. I had no idea what she hid behind all her clothes but I knew she had very well defined curves. She would make men go crazy and I needed to be there as a buffer. It would be hard for me because I was struggling with my new developing feelings for her but I had rather be there with her than away thinking about all those men ogling what was mine.

Mine? Where had that come from? Marini was not mine and I knew that for a fact. She was too independent and would never belong to anyone. She was her own person so me thinking of her as mine was just hurting myself. I really needed to get a grip of myself.

"Breakfast is served."Marini announced putting the tray with our breakfast on the table in front of us.

Fruits, toast, juice, bread rolls and more coffee. Best way to start the day.

To distract myself I started a conversation asking Marini about all the tourist attractions there was to see at the coast. Being so passionate about her job she talked non stop about all the beautiful places you could visit in the coastal region. She had been to all of them herself and promised me to take me to as many as we could in the time we would be there.

By the time breakfast was over I was already feeling much better. I decided to just enjoy my time with Marini and ignore my feelings hoping they would go away in time. We were good friends and I'd rather remain her employee and friend rather than loose her from my life completely.

We parted ways to go change into something more comfortable for the beach. I pulled on some camo beach shorts, a long white shirt with only one button done, slipped on a pair of sandals and grabbed my phone and sunglasses. I eyed my gun that was lying in top of the beside table wondering if I should take it with me. To the beach? No that would be absurd because I had nothing to conceal it with and besides if anyone caused any problems I'd just use my fists. They could be effective too. I put it inside the drawer under all my stuff in there to avoid scaring whoever came in to clean and left my room.

I stood by Marini's room and knocked lightly.

"You done in there?" I asked.

"Almost but you can just head down and get us some sun screen. I'll join you in a few minutes. Ask for the cabana reserved for Miss Kiarie."She instructed.

"Yes ma'am." I replied and heard her chuckle.

I smiled to myself before leaving the hotel room. I now had time to actually explore and look around so I took my time walking to the front desk and asking for directions as to where I could get some sunscreen and how to get to the cabanas. I noticed a lot of ladies even those in male company eyeing me but I didn't give them any attention.

I noticed that a lot of guests were white which mean Marini's hotel was very well know as well as her business. The main theme of the hotel was white and it was in pristine condition. The floors were polished and shining perfectly and there were a lot of windows allowing a cool breeze and lots of sunlight.

I found my way to the small store in the hotel that catered to guests who may have forgotten a few essentials. There was a dark skinned young man who looked to be in his late teens maning the counter.

"Good morning how may I help you?" He asked me politely.

"Hey there. Some sunscreen please and can you charge it to my room. I didn't bring any cash with me." I requested showing him my keycard as proof that I was a resident there and not someone trying to rip him off.

"Yeah of course. Any preference as to the type of sunscreen you want?" He asked.

"No, you do the choosing." I requested politely and he nodded with a smile before grabbing a bottle of the shelf and handing it to me.

He grabbed my keycard and did a double take when he noticed what room it was.

"Yo-you're staying in the p-presidential suite deluxe?" He asked.

"Yeah." I replied wondering what was happening.

There was a presidential suite and a presidential suite deluxe? What was the difference?

"Wow just wow."He replied still staring at the card shocked.

"Could you finish up quick. I'm supposed to be meeting someone." I replied.

"Of course. I'm sorry it's just that only the owner and her sisters stay in that suite and a few of her executive guests when she's not around."He explained and I nodded in understanding even if I was still a little confused.

"Well I'm her bodyguard so I guess that puts me in the list of her executive guests." I replied with a smile before grabbing my card from his hold and walking away.

Working for Marini was basically working for the president just without all the fuss and buzz.

Presidential suite deluxe? Wow, I thought to myself quoting the young man whose eyes I could still feel on my back.

I found the cabana which had a plack card with the name "Miss Kiarie" on it and sat down. The cabana was a four poster structure with a grass thatched roof and a wooden platform with a white mattress on it and lots of pillows. There were white curtains hanging on the side tied off to prevent them from swaying with the wind. The beach was private so there weren't that many people on it. The water was blue and clear and looked very inviting.

I could see a few kids getting camel rides along the beach and some riding their bikes. There were some teens playing beach volleyball or making sand castles. Other people were sitting in the cabanas just talking and enjoying the breeze. Those that weren't in the water were basking in mats and lesos in the sun.

"Good morning. May I offer you anything to drink from our vast option of tropical drinks?"A waiter asked me handing me the drinks menu.

All I could see was names and lots of colourful drinks. I don't think they served beer. It was a little early for alcohol but for the most part I was on vacation and off the clock so I'd take advantage of that.

"Umh? Sure."I replied a little confused.

"What would you like to drink?" He asked.

I looked at the menu perplexed at all the options for a few more minutes and came up blank.

What drinks would Marini like? Maybe I should just wait for her because I had no idea of her preferences but still I didn't want to sit here idly doing nothing as I waited.

"Sir? "The waiter called out to me again.

"You know what just bring me two glasses of your most colourful drink with the least amount of alcohol." I replied.

The waiter smiled before nodding. I gave him back the menu and he left to get my drinks.

A few minutes later he came back and handed me the drinks. I took one and set the other one side for Marini. I hoped she liked what I chose. I took a sip and it tasted mostly of pineapples and cherries with a hint of alcohol on it. The ice cubes in it cooled off my body. It was just perfect. If Marini didn't like hers I'd drink it for her.

Speaking of my boss. What was Marini doing that was taking her so long? I mean how long could it possibly take to put on a bikini. The minute that thought fleeted through my mind I wished I could have taken it back.

I saw Marini walking towards me dressed in a floral one piece bikini with a matching wrap that was blowing in the wind and one of those wide red hats females wore to the beach. The bikini hand a plunging neckline exposing a lot of cleavage. Her melanin skin shone in the sun and I felt entranced by her beauty.

I knew I was not the only one affected by her beauty seeing as a lot of people all genders alike but mostly the men had stopped what they were doing to look at her. My chest tightened in jealousy at all the eyes on her eyeing what should be for my eyes only. Yeah I know I had said she wasn't mine earlier but at the moment I didn't care. My finger itched to pull the trigger and put a bullet in everyone's eyes for looking at her. Good thing I left my gun behind before I was charged with mass murder. Yeah the headlines would be great.

JEALOUS BODYGUARD SHOOTS ALL MALES FOR LOOKING AT BOSS.

She didn't even seem fazed by all the attention she was getting because her eyes were on me and she was smiling.

That smile was going to be the end of me paired with her body of a goddess.

Man I was in trouble, I thought to myself as she got closer to me. May the heavens be on my side because I needed all the help I could get to maintain my restraint.
