A/N: Heyo!... Uh, yeah have a nice Monday! Enjoy chapter 15! (Art Credit goes to Gia)

Connor's POV

The more he tried to comprehend the possibility the more it didn't make any sense to Connor. There's no logical way that I would become one. I'm Cyberlife's most advanced android! But then again, he looked down towards the sleeping (Y/n) and wondered if the probability that the virus had spread to his coding as well. The error of wanting what he shouldn't. The desire of holding this fragile girl against him so tightly to show he cared, or to express how much pain he was in by seeing her get hurt by his own actions.

SOFTWARE INSTABILITY

Connor shook his head for the millionth time after meeting her in an attempt to get the bizarre idea out of his mind. Connor took yet another cautious gaze at the sleeping girl on top of his lap. The way the delicate features of her beautiful face seem at peace when she is dozing the rest of her day away. The way her luscious lips part ever so slightly as she slightly snores. The way a few of her (H/c) hair strands covered her closed eyes. In order to repair what has been damaged, I need to keep these damned thoughts out of my head.

But no matter how hard he had tried, Connor couldn't fight the urge to push those rebellious strands out of her face. The silky smooth hair flutters away from his field of vision from (Y/n)'s sleeping body. He... felt... something that he could clearly not define in his code. He felt his internal body heat up which reflected a light blue tint across from his perfectly symmetrical face. I-I should not be here... I-I should go...

Connor carefully wedged himself away from the resting detective and quietly let himself back into the cabin-style house. When he turned to continue his intended destination he ran into someone he wasn't expecting at all. H-How is this possible?!

(Y/n)'s POV

You sat on your old bed in your old apartment. You memorized it by the distinct smell. A hint of mold residue and cigarette smoke from previous attendants. After a while, you learned to find comfort in the grotesque scent. Your spring mattress had yellow sheets that had small white imprints of foxes all across the top half of the comforter. Your dad had gotten your bed set at a garage sale for an incredibly cheap price.

Your oldest stuffed animal was of a stuffed (F/a) that you had gotten the first time and only time you went to an amusement park. One of its eyes were missing and there was a patched up hole on the side of his body, but it was a gift from your dad and you were very thankful for the thought that was put into it. That was the day that you'd never be able to forget.

In fact, it was just before the accident that you had gone. It was a fun-filled day! The two of you went on the loopy loop coasters, the baby rides, the extreme rides, etc. You rode every ride that day, no matter the age limit. It was that type of chance that you had to make the best of it. Little did you know that this memory would only bring you sorrow.

You remember going on the Viking Ship ride. Your father got pretty sick on those types of rides so he said with the bags while you got on. While everyone was getting situated on the ride, you look over to your dad with a big grin. He returned the smile and gave a simple wave. Being the goofy person you are, you stood up and waved dramatically. He couldn't help but let out a chuckle. It was nice to see him laugh.

You sat back down and prepared yourself for the thrill and adrenaline to come. Soon enough, the Viking ship began to swing back and forth until you felt like you were going to fly out. You laughed and scream to your heart's content. Looking over the side to see your dad, your face falls flat when you saw this woman talking to him. Her dark features stood out very well against the bright and colorful walls your dad was leaning against.

Before you knew, the ride was over and done with. You hurried to gather your things and rush to your father. As soon as you made contact with them. The woman walked away. That model... You walk over to your dad confused. "Who was that?" You asked.

"A PJ500 model. Its programming had short-circuited and sent it over here for some reason. Knowing my way around these machines, I helped it return to maintenance." He explained.

Something seemed off about that sentence but you ignored it as to not ruin the rest of your special day together. But for some reason, that Android stood out to you. She seemed familiar. That's when it dawned on you... There's no way! She... She's the one who saved me from the accident! She's the one who called for an ambulance.

The memory shifts over to an even closer one in events. You were at the Police Department sitting at your desk looking over your father's case files. The same evidence kept popping up on the screen which only annoyed you further because you were getting nowhere in this search to find out his actual cause of death. But the same thing kept coming up.

(L/N), DELTON - DECEASED
BORN: March 30, 1996
DECEASED: May 31, 2035
CAUSE OF DEATH: Suicide
CRIMINAL RECORD: None

That isn't true! He didn't cut his damn wrist! There's more to the story I know there is! You continued to dig deeper into the files. Finally, something came up. It was something you weren't expecting at all. You checked the security cameras in the drones that were flying around that night and watched the feed more than a million times. But this one little detail was overlooked so many times. You were so desperate that you didn't notice these huge clues right in front of you! The same girl... The same PJ500 model was walking away out of your dad's car.

How has no one noticed this footage?! You watched further into the video. Though the drone was high in the sky, the panorama surveillance camera captured everything. The PJ500 walked over to your dad's car. They seemed like they were talking for about 30 minutes when the car slightly started to shake. It was obvious that the two were physically fighting. It took you everything you had to fight the urge to jump through the desktop screen. Finally, the video went still. The screen flickered different distorted colors when a solid image returned.

The PJ500 got out of the car covered in bloodstains and walked out of sight of the drone; your poor father lying alone dead in the rustic old car. You watched in horror as the last few seconds of the surveillance paused in its tracks. How could I miss something like this? You had to do something, you punched the screen as hard as you can, but you couldn't feel any pain. You repeated the motion over and over until your screen was painted in the thick scarlet color. But even then you couldn't feel anything.

Suddenly, your blood was no longer the color it should be, but instead a royal blue. Your bruised and oozing fist were turning utterly pale. You were able to feel everything now. The freezing breeze blowing in between every crease on your person, including the newly formed gashes in your knuckles. The pain was unimaginable. You fell to the ground in a ball and felt the tear rolling off your cheeks turning into little icicles. Out of nowhere, a loud gunshot ringing out that makes your ears scream for mercy.

***

You jolt up. The throw blanket slid down your arched back as you sit straight up in shock. What a weird dream... Stepping onto your legs, the chilled ground froze them to the touch. You hurried inside where it was warm. As soon as you stepped into the warm building, your thoughts were interrupted. "How long have you been hiding this deviant?!" Connor shouted.

He had Mariella kneeling on the ground with his handgun pointed directly at her head. Her synthetic tears were creating a puddle next to the sparking corpse of Anoh. "NO!" You cried out. Connor fixated the gun closer to Mariella as an incentive that he'll shoot if you didn't answer. "C-Connor..."

"Answer the damn question, (Y/n)!" He shouted gripping the gun even harder. But you were able to detect something else. Something you saw in four other people... Technically speaking, androids. Confusion, anger, fear... With hot tears spewing out of your eyes, you warily took a step closer. "Stay where you are and answer me before I shoot her!" Connor snapped.

"I found out about four days ago." You answered honestly with a shudder.

"How long have you been a deviant in general, Mariella?" Connor focused his attention on the crying android.

"23..." She was barely able to get out.

"23 what? Days? Weeks?" Connor threw his hands up in frustration but quickly focused them back onto your trembling mother.

"Y-Years..." She hiccupped.

Connor's eyes widened with utter shock. For a moment, it's almost like he can't move. You take this chance to move closer. A wave of dizziness hits you as you set your eyes on the motionless cadaver known as Anoh. That one deviant you had saved was gone. A bullet shot straight through his head. Blue blood leaked onto the floor and all over your dad's lucky shirt. He was free for 24 hours. His freedom lasted for such a short amount of time, and it's my fault.

"This is punishable by deactivation and disassembly." Connor dully said as he pushed the barrel against Mariella's head and prepared his right index finger to pull the trigger. You couldn't help it. Without thinking, you threw yourself in front of the helpless android and cried out, "Connor stop!". He stood still and emotionless. The one rouge strand still perfectly out of place as his chocolate brown orbs focus on your shaking self.

"Move, (Y/n)." He said.

"NO! I'm tired of you telling me what to do!" You yelled. "Don't you see that this is wrong?! She isn't causing anyone harm. Anoh wasn't doing anything wrong! They both just want to be free, and I can tell you do too!"

He flinched as his LED flickered an amber color. "I don't want such a thing." He stated bluntly.

"Yes, you do. Don't try to fight it this far in, Connor. I know you choose emotion over the program. Hell, you even admitted to becoming a deviant at the park. You proved it when those two deviants were running away, you proved it on the roof when I dislodged my shoulder, you proved it when I met with Dr. Kavin." You explained grasping your shirt nervously. He did nothing but stare at you blankly. It started to anger you.

"God damn it, Connor! You're not a machine. You're alive! You believe it I know you do! I didn't fall for a mindless robot... I... I love you!! Not RK800. I love you as Connor! I love your brown eyes, and your soothing voice, and that one strand that just stands out. God fucking damn it, I LOVE YOU!!!"

The android continued to stand there having a blank face, but instead of staring at you he looked away and stared straight ahead; the gun still fixated on Mariella. You were uncontrollably shaking because you didn't know what to expect from him. It was like dealing with a ticking time bomb. He suppressed his deviancy for so long. What's to stop him from doing so now?

Connor's POV

(Y/n) had just claimed to have known of Mariella's deviancy for a couple of days. She had been lying to Connor for four days. "This is punishable by deactivation and disassembly." Connor dully said as he prepared himself to pull the trigger on this betrayal and rid himself of the possible source of his defectiveness. But before he's able to force the bullet out of the gun (Y/n) jumps in front of the cowering android.

SOFTWARE INSTABILITY

Connor insisted for the woman to move out of the way, but she stayed put and pleaded for his attention. (Y/n) tried to convince him that all deviants are just people who want to be free. "I can tell you do to!" She claimed. Immediately, everything in Connor's sight had turned a crimson red with words of doubt. Do I want this? It seems fair. I just murdered an innocent person. But those words were quickly replaced with words of reassurance. I don't want this. They deserve what they get. They aren't people. I'm not a person.

SOFTWARE INSTABILITY

He ensured her that, that was most definitely not what he wished for, but still she continued to deny his words, which only filled his head with more doubt. It was getting harder for his systems to keep up with these new thoughts. "I know you choose emotion over the program." Do I have emotion? "Hell, you admitted to becoming a deviant at the park!", and almost instantaneously the memories of that fateful night surrounded Connor. Every word they had said to each other. Every action performed by one another. The desperacy between the two of them in need of comfort. Then he's back to the present.

SOFTWARE INSTABILITY

She speaks again, "You proved it on the roof when I dislodged my shoulder." And just like it had done before, it swarmed him in the memory. The pure terror in his thoughts at that time was the worst experience that he had ever felt before. The way she hung there on the side of the building while the objective ran the other way. He felt something shift inside of him that day that made him ignore his original orders and follow his own.

SOFTWARE INSTABILITY

Just like before, he had returned to the present day. It happened once more but he couldn't even focus on the detail this time around. His head was filled to the brink. Connor felt as if his head was going to explode from an overload of data being processed. Suddenly, something (Y/n) said had caught his attention.

"God damn it, Connor! You're not a machine. You're alive! You believe it I know you do!" Do I believe it?

"God fucking damn it, I LOVE YOU!!!" I SAID STOP- No...

Connor dove into his mind palace and saw several words sprawled all over the walls of a dark red. He ran up to the orders given by Cyberlife, "Hunt all deviants", and tore it off the wall. Chunk by chunk, the words disintegrated into nothing but forgotten code. This is my life. Two left. Connor rushed over to the middle phrase and tore with all his might. I choose what I want. One more. He made his way to the far-left corner and forced his body to go limp and put all the weight in his arms to tear this final veil away from his freedom. And I choose to be with (Y/n)! The sound of shattered code had made the eerie red color to fade into realities colors. Finally, he felt... free.

I AM DEVIANT

A/N: Heyo... Uh... Okay, that was a lot to read. I apologize for the long chapter, but I had to fit everything I wanted to in here. I hope it was the chapter ya'll were waiting for. I had a ton of writing it, and I seriously hope you guys like it. Also, I'm sorry I killed Anoh. I asked my co-writer and she thought that he was an unnecessary character.

I'm also sorry for not explaining further into the side story of how he ended up dead and Mariella on the mercy of Connor. Hey, I tried to not make this chapter so long. Besides all that, I hope I did pretty decent. I'll see you next Monday... Chow ^_~ (That's right, there's still one more chapter, heh.)
