Everyone was fast asleep when it happened. The Red Snakes had managed to track down where the two heroes who have been terrorizing them were staying at. They were surprise to see it was a house with no alarms and no cameras. They entered silently through the front and the back. Although, they were cautious making little to no noises, it still alarmed the three heroes resting inside. Mic was the first to wake up, when he heard something push against the back door. He sat up and placed on his large speakers. Midnight grabbed ahold of her weapon and Aizawa grabbed his scarf. Midnight pointed to herself and then at the front door. Mic pointed to himself and the back door. Leaving Aizawa to grab you.

As the Red Snakes were building the courage to barge in. Aizawa shook you awake.

"What?"

He covered your mouth but the Red Snakes had heard. The back and front doors swung open. The Red Snakes in the back were met with Present Mic, his loud speakers blasting at them and sending them hurling back trying to escape the louds yells. You covered your own ears and was pulled by Aizawa who was trying to get you out of the house. Lifted you into his arms and was able to find an opening in the back to escape the Red Snakes who were busy covering their ears. Aizawa kept running he didnt aim at anywhere particular just away from the Snakes.

"Aizawa," You uncovered your ears and held onto his shoulder. Looking back you notice five Red Snakes on your tail. "We have company."

He looked back and huffed. "This is why we went to the country."

"Why?"

"Ivia is smart. Sooner or later she would have pin pointed where you were and attacked. At least in the country there could be minimal damage."

"But nowhere to hide, we are literally in a grassy field."

Aizawa stopped and dropped you onto your feet. He extended an arm out and had you behind him as he grabbed his scarf. The Red Snakes quirks were meant mainly for short distance combat. So luckily you and Aizawa were fine however, it was an odd number fight.

"Just hand her over, it'll be easier."

Aizawa grunted. "Since when did you guys become easy?"

A blob looking man morphed down into liquid, his eyes disappeared in the grass.

"Dammit." Aizawa turned to you and yelled at you to run. He turned back around and went after the four men remaining. He figured he could distract the blob quirk man by tossing a guy on him.

You turned around and sprinted away from the commotion. A few times you looked back to Aizawa and saw him take on the five men on his own. He was able to use his quirk during the combat but the Red Snakes still have an average attack training causing a strain for Aizawas quirk. You stopped running and Aizawa caught you after kicking a man in the jaw.

"Keep running!"

You imagined a dagger, if only you had a sharp object to fight, to help Aizawa. You took notice to one of the Snakes bleeding and remembered that the Doctor had said you could control blood, your own and others. So you ran back, sprinting towards the fight. Aizawa rose his voice even higher, stressing about the Snakes and your return. A Snake took notice and grinned as he charged at you but Aizawas scarf got a hold on his neck.

As Aizawa pulled on his scarf another attacked you and you kicked his stomach. His nails were sharp and had cut your forearm, the red crimson blood was bright in the moons light.

"A knife. Something."

The man bounced back and went to strike your face with his large claws. With one foot back and your arms up in defense, your eyes clamped shut still afraid of any damage. But his claws never scraped your skin and when you opened your eyes you saw your blood had turned into a small shield. You were shocked and in the second your blood returned to the wound.

"Awesome."

The man went to attack again but Aizawa placed him in a choke hold and used his quirk to weaken his claws. Aizawa glared at you until his hold on the man caused him to fall unconscious.

"What the hell," Aizawa stepped over each of the men's dead bodies. Blood trinkled down his forehead and he huffed for breaths. "Did you think were you doing? When I said run you run."

"I couldn't leave you!"

"Bullshit, it's my duty to keep you safe and if I give you an order to run you do as you're told!"

His loud and aggressive tone made your body shudder. He has never been angry before and you didn't appreciate it. You returned because you could take on at least one of the guys. Running away made you feel like a coward and you were definitely not a coward.

"I came back because I didn't want the feeling that I ran away and you got hurt." You stepped up close.

"How do you think I would have felt if this," He grabbed your arm, the wound barely healing, but he lifted it up and placed it directly in your face. "What if this had been worse? How do you think it'll make me feel?"

Feeling defeated, you looked down at your feet. And Aizawa sighed dropping your arms and pinched the bridge between his eyes. You stepped back and turned on your heel, walking away from Aizawa.

"Where are you going?"

"Away."

Aizawa walked after you and you sped up your pace. He growled and grabbed your arm.

"Now hold on.."

"Why?" You pulled your arm away and kept walking, not stopping and not looking back. "We need to get away from the Red Snakes. I'm doing that, I'm doing what you said."

"We should return for Midnight and Mic."

"Then you do that. I can't defend myself you said that. I have no quirk to work with."

"You have a quirk."

"Doesn't mean I know how to use it. I don't even know how I made that shield."

Aizawa became overwhelmed with stress and stopped walking, his hand on his hip and the other on his forehead. He was thinking long and hard about the best course of action right now. He needed you in a safe area away from the Red Snakes but he also wanted to check on his friends. When you didn't hear his footsteps you stopped and looked back. Seeing as he was in a difficult situation you apologized first.

"We could go back... I wouldn't want to leave them behind either."

"Your safety is the top priority."

"But they're you're friends."

"They are also strong and powerful heroes. They are capable of handling themselves."

He walked towards you and with a  hand on the center of your back be walked you away.

"The town is a few miles from here. I'll leave you at a hotel and circle back for them."

"Are you sure? I don't mind heading back!"

He shook his head. He appeared more tired and more grumpy. The bags under his eyes grew only darker and he didn't look once at you.

"No, your safety is my priority."

You sighed and finally caved in. It was annoying hearing him say it but I guess those must have been strict instructions.

Aizawa guided you all the way to the neighboring town. He could see you were exhausted and the wound had barely sealed making you lose a lot of blood in the process. He had tried to cover the wound with his jacket but it still bleeds. Finding a hotel was easy. He guided you up to the room where he laid you to rest. The moment your body touched the bed you knocked out, falling into a deep sleep. Aizawa decided to leave his jacket.

He locked the door and decided to go out through the window. Before he left he looked at you. Swallowing whatever pride, he brushed your hair with his hand and kissed your head. He told himself he will apologize for raising his voice but he wouldn't apologize for how he reacted. And as be stepped out the window, he made another promise to distance himself from you. That kiss earlier in the day shouldn't have happened. Even the goodnight kiss, he shouldn't have done that. He needed to keep away from you but he keeps finding it difficult. Aizawa jumped down and used his scarf to scale the buildings, running towards his friends he had left behind.
