So sorry. I had to remove the chapter temporarily because for whatever reason Wattpad wouldn't allow me to make any edits.  And then after I made the edits, the chapter somehow deleted itself.

Again so sorry, but I got it working again.

Enjoy!!!

Thirteen's POV

I shove open the door to my house, Jason following in behind me. I barely make it an inch through the door before I'm assaulted by Devin.

"Devin," I growl as he wraps his arms around me, pinning my arms to my sides and hugs me tightly. "Get. Off. Me."

"Now why would I do that?" He tightens his grip on me.

"Well for one I can't breathe. Two, do you ever want to have kids in the future?"

He lets go of me real quick and takes a few huge steps backward. I walk around him and into the kitchen.

"Why," I start as I pull a water bottle out of the fridge. "Am I getting attacked before I can even make it through the door?" I question Devin as he takes a seat at the counter next to Chase. Jason leans back against the wall. Cody's nowhere to be seen and I couldn't care less where Eleanor is.

"Because I went exploring through the house today." I shoot him a glare. "And I discovered the room on the second floor dedicated entirely to video games." He smiles like he's rather pleased with himself.

"Although," He starts up again after a moment of silence. "You don't exactly strike me as the type of girl to sit around and play video games."

"That's cause I'm not," I reply, hopping up and sitting on the counter.

The room is only there because after coming over to my house so often, and continuously staying here, Ryder complained about me not having any videos games. So he took my credit card and completely redecorated one of the spare rooms. I didn't mind. It's not like I don't have the space or money.

But the room never gets used unless Ryder's here. It has literally every video console known to man as well as shelves full of games. And if I don't have a specific one, Ryder just goes and buys it...

With my money.

"Then why do you have the room?" Devin asks curiously, Chase looking at me with the same look on his face.

No point lying to them if he's planning on coming over later.

"Because of-"

"Honey! I'm Home!"

"That idiot." I finish as I hear the front door slam shut.

Ryder is the only other person who Henri will ever let in, whether I'm here or not.

Ryder comes around the corner into the kitchen before Devin can say anything else. A large duffle bag is slung over his shoulder and he balances a stack of seven pizza boxes in one hand, a slightly smaller duffle bag in the other.

"I brought food." He says, placing the pizza on the counter along with the smaller duffle bag.

"I don't know who he is but I like him," Devin says as he throws open one of the pizza boxes and shoves a slice in his mouth.

"I poisoned it," Ryder says with a straight face and serious tone.

Devin immediately spits it out and begins choking.

"Really?" I ask as I shoot him a look that's asking if that was really necessary. He just nods and grins. I shake my head at him and smile as Devin finally stops choking to glare at Ryder.

"Get your bag off the counter," I order Ryder and he just grins at me and drops the other bag on the counter. I give him a pointed glare. He just smiles wickedly back at me.

"I take it back, I don't like him anymore," Devin grumbles.

"Who's yelling?" I hear Cody ask and turn around to see him walk into the kitchen area. His eyes narrow as soon as they land on Ryder...who's now shirtless.

"What are you doing?" I hiss. "Put your shirt back on."

He shrugs, putting an innocent smile on his face. "It's hot in here."

"It most certainly is not."

"What's the problem? It's not like it's anything you haven't seen before."

I slap my hand over my face the minute I realize what he's trying to do. I let out a loud groan and notice Jason hiding a smirk.

Seems I'm not the only one who's figured it out.

"Who are you?" Cody asks lowly, calmly almost. But his tense posture indicates he's anything but calm.

"Ryder Stevenson, FBI." He replies calmly, a friendly smile on his face.

Apparently, he knows when not to open his mouth.

"Thirteen's boyfriend."

Spoke too soon.

He holds out his hand to Cody to shake as if he completely expects him to take it.

Devin begins choking on another slice of pizza and Chase is just sitting at the counter frozen, mouth open in shock.

Jason is trying hard to hold in his laughter as Cody sends Ryder a glare that could burn a hole straight through the planet.

Ryder's face remains the same. Innocent looking and when Cody doesn't take his hand he drops it and pretends to look confused.

Cody turns and storms away and moments later there's the sound of a door slamming shut. I swear I heard the wood split.

"I take it that one was Cody," Ryder says with a rather smug look on his face.

I massage my head with my fingers. "You've made an already tense situation ten times worse."

"I don't see how."

"What is going on?" Chase finally interrupts.

"Ryder here loves starting fights," I respond, glaring at Ryder as he puts his hands up in mock surrender.

"Only when I know I'll win."

"Then why do you start fights with me?"

"It's fun watching you get riled up."

"Who are you really?" Chase asks, interrupting us again.

"Ryder Stevenson." He replies simply. "FBI Agent by day, harasser of rich chicks by night."

I punch him in the arm and he just laughs as always.

"So you're not dating?" Devin questions this time.

"No." We both answer in unison.

"Oh," Devin mutters thoughtfully as he takes another slice of pizza. "How do you two know each other?"

Ryder pales beside me and I snicker quietly next to him as I hop off the counter.

"Oh you have to ask him," I respond, a smirk on my lips as I jerk my thumb in Ryder's direction.

Ryder laughs nervously. "You know what?" He scratches his head like he's thinking. "I can't remember. What a shame. Tragic, really. I'm going to go take my bags up to my room now."

He all but sprints full speed out of the room, lugging his duffle bags with him.

I chuckle to myself and pull a stack of paper plates out of the cabinets. I grab a slice of pizza and put it on my plate, passing Devin one in the process.

There's suddenly a very high pitched screech from upstairs.

"NO FREAKING WAY!" I hear Ryder shout like an overly excited kid on Christmas.

I smile to myself realizing he must've seen the gift I left him for on his bed. I had gotten it around a month ago and it had just been sitting there on his bed till he decided to come over.

I hear his thudding footsteps and he's in the kitchen mere seconds later after sprinting down the stairs.

I'm tackled into a hug and pulled up against his muscled chest, his arms wrapped firmly around my chest, and suddenly it's hard to breathe.

"Can't. Breathe. Ryder." I manage to choke out.

"Don't care."

"I hate hugs, Ryder."

"Don't care." He finally releases his death grip on me and pushes me back at arm's length, his hands resting on my forearms, a wide smile on his face. "Thank-you so much." He pulls me back into a hug and I hug him back this time.

"No problem."

He pulls back. "Where did you even get it?"

"I had it specially made by my agency," I reply with a shrug.

"Zero didn't find it odd you asked for a specially made sniper rifle?"

I shrug again while Chase and Devin watch our exchange with curious looks. Jason just looks bored.

"Hey, Cody do you-" Eliane's sentence is caught in her throat as she comes around the corner only to realize that there's no Cody, but there's a very shirtless Ryder.

I see her eyes roam over him and I take a chance to try and see things from her point of view.

I never really thought of Ryder in any way other than a big brother to me, but now that I look at him, like really look at him, I realize exactly why her eyes cloud over as she takes her damn sweet time shamelessly undressing him with her eyes.

Being six years older than me making him 25, he's got the looks of a man rather than a boy. From his dazzling green eyes, golden brown hair, chiseled jaw combined with light stumble, his freakishly tall height and his lean and muscled physique, he's a walking magnet for girls and Eliane is no exception.

I notice him looking at me rather than batting an eyelash at her. He notices me staring and wiggles his eyebrows at me and I roll my eyes and shove at him playfully.

"Hi." She says, taking a step forward to him and he finally looks over at her. She holds out her hand for him to take. "I'm Elaine." She says, her voice soft and flirty.

He looks at her, giving her a once over at which she seems to be trying to push her chest out more at the attention.

Once he's done studying her with the same guarded look he uses on everyone, he turns back to me.

"So you got any plans for tomorrow?" He asks and Elaine stands there dumbstruck at the easy dismissal. Jason snickers.

"I planned on going over some of the company paperwork with Megan. I was going to invite her over here though. It's still not the best idea to leave." He nods thoughtfully. "After that, I'm having dinner with Gary, the guy in charge of building seven."

I notice Devin give me a curious look and shoot him a glare, warning him to keep his mouth shut. Ryder notices but says nothing. He nods.

"Well, my parents want to see you so..." He trails off as he grabs a strand of my hair and begins to twirl it around his fingers.  "Dinner Sunday night?"

I nod absentmindedly. "Sure."

"Alright." He says with a smile. He looks over at Elaine once more before turning back to me once again. "When did your house become a toy store for cheap knock-offs?"

Elaine's mouth drops open and I start laughing hysterically along with Jason. Devin cracks a smile but otherwise reigns in his laughter. Chase just shakes his head.

Ryder pretends to look confused."What? What did I say?"

"And I thought Devin was immature," I mutter and he rolls his eyes sticking his tongue out at me. I laugh. "Seriously how old are you? Four?"

"Haha, no."  He replies dryly.

"I changed my mind," Devin announces, causing our focus to shift to him.

"I like him again."

I exchange a knowing smile with Ryder and he winks at me.

"Put a shirt on," I order. He winks at me again.

"And deny everybody the privilege of basking in my glorious looks, nah, I'm good."

"I agree." Elaine purrs.

"Shut up Eleanor." He says simply.

"My name's Elaine."

He gives her a look of mock confusion. "That's what I said. Isn't it?"

"No."

He shrugs carelessly. "Don't care."
