Everything felt hazy.

Numb was the best way to describe what she felt. But a kind of numb she could get lost in, that she didn't want to leave. It was a kind of numb that put her mind at ease and made her feel like she was floating in the clouds. Euphoria.

She could hardly recollect anything in the past three days besides the needle. She knew that whatever was inside it that got injected into her skin was a sort of Heaven; she never wanted anything so badly. Which is why she was in the situation she was in now.

She had been restrained as they transported her to some shipping yard by the ocean. She was held upright against some stretcher as she was placed in a room on a upper level.

It was nearing the end of the hour where she was up for another dose and her mind started to clear a bit as Killian walked into the room. He stared at her for a moment as he smiled, "Hi."

"I have to say, you are so much more beautiful in person," Killian started as he came closer towards her. "Now I have something for you..."

He pulled out a needle and she pulled against the bands holding her back as she tried to grab for it. Her breathing picked up just at the possibility of getting a hit.

"Before I give this to you, I need you to be a good girl," he tilted her chin up to look at him. "Can you do that?"

She nodded frantically as she kept her eyes glued to the syringe with a clear liquid inside. Killian smiled, "Good."

He ran his finger up her cheek as he leaned towards her. Then he kissed her softly and slowly and she didn't fight it. She couldn't.

She needed that drug in his hand and she'd never known a craving so strong. She didn't care what she had to do to get it; in fact, she didn't care about anything at all except that drug.

She wondered why it was even so bad kissing him. Her hazy mind conjured up an image of Tony but it quickly pushed it away. Her mind made pleas for its poison and she could do nothing but follow.

She let him kiss her and she even felt his tongue in her mouth. When he pulled away, he breathed heavily but she was unaffected. It was only a mere kiss for her, one that didn't mean anything, as her eyes quickly darted to the needle.

He chuckled, "Alright."

He grabbed her arm and he pushed the needle into a vein. Then he injected the dose and the effect was immediate. Her head lolled back against the stretcher as she felt that wave wash over her and her eyes grew wide with euphoria.

He caressed her cheek as she was lost in her own little world in the clouds. He smirked, "Now, after tonight, I'll be victorious."

He took his other hand and ran his fingers up the side of her stomach that was revealed from the sports bra she wore. Then his fingers crawled over one of her clothed breasts, "And you'll have to be an extra good girl for me..."

His eyes were full of excitement before he pulled his hands away with a sigh, "But we'll talk about that when I get back."

He went to leave but suddenly there was an explosion.

_____

The building they were in fell a couple of levels. There were pieces of debris that had toppled over her but luckily did not pin her down; they just trapped her.

She was still bound to the stretcher. But she thought about using her powers. She thought about the restraints burning and turning to ash. It was so hard to concentrate and the restraints burned so slowly.

After a couple of minutes passed, they were ash and she was free. She saw a bit of an opening in the debris and she crawled towards a bit before someone entered the room and banged the door against the wall so harshly. He came in a suit of iron before he lifted the mask up.

Tony.

"Eira," his eyes widened in relief; those sparkling brown eyes of his that made her heart squeeze.

Her mind started to clear a bit as she stared at him before he moved some debris away before reaching for her to help her the rest of the way, "Snowflake, come here. I got you."

She went to reach for his hand but Killian came from behind and threw Tony to the ground. He stepped over him with a smirk as he placed a burning finger over the arc reactor that powered the suit, making it die.

"Is it hot in there?" Killian said as the suit started to sizzle from melting metal. "Stuck? Do you feel a little stuck? Like a little turtle, cooking in his little turtle suit."

She quickly crawled to the end of the clear path and she leaned over the metal debris in exhaustion as she demanded weakly, "Leave him alone."

Killian looked at her in surprise, "Now, Eira, what did I just say about being good?"

He pulled out another syringe from his back pocket and her eyes widened. Her mind screamed and her hands itched to have it.

But she looked at Tony. There was one thing that Aldrich Killian miscalculated. As much as she was addicted to this drug, she was also addicted to Tony Stark.

"I think..." she breathed. "It'd be good if you turned to ash..."

Killian furrowed his eyebrows for a moment before he realized and he shouted as he went to lunge for her, "No!"

This time, her powers worked quickly. Fire consumed him in an instant before he was merely ashes floating in the air.

She crawled over the last of the debris she was leaning against as Tony came out of the dead suit. He quickly knelt down in front of her as she grabbed a hold of his shirt. She felt unsteady even though she was sitting on her folded legs.

"Remind me to never get on your bad side," he muttered as he hugged her and her chin rested on his shoulder. "Baby, are you okay? You have no idea how worried I was about you."

She nodded a bit as her eyes landed on the syringe that Killian had been holding. It was on the ground just a few feet away. She reached out for it with her arm and grabbed it.

She pulled away from Tony with a smile as she looked down at the needle. He frowned, "Eira, don't..."

"Why not?" she pouted before lazily smiling. "You should try it."

Tears gathered in his eyes, "Snowflake, I need you to put it down."

She looked at him accusingly. Why would he tell her to give this up when he knew what it meant to her? He wasn't being very understanding.

He started to reach out to the grab it from her hands but she quickly jabbed it into her arm. She injected the dose before letting the needle clatter to the floor. He looked at her with wide eyes as she gained a dopey smile, "I'm in the clouds..."

Her eyes started to blink more slowly before they closed. She fell against him and he shook her as he called her name again and again. Her watch was gone but he felt for a pulse of her wrist and it was beating so rapidly that he thought her heart would eventually give out from the pace, "Snowflake, stay with me."

"Jarvis, I need a suit right now," Tony said.

A suit landed inside the room and Tony stepped into it before picking up Eira. He flew away to take her to a hospital as the rest of his suits took out the Extremis soldiers. To think, it was Christmas...
