''Alright guys, we have something important to discuss. Summer plans!''

Oh God, here we go again. I was waiting for the moment that Mads was going to bring up the summer, that is just around the corner. With exams being over, we finally have time and energy to think about something else other than school.

Although summer break will be in about two weeks, I know Mads thinks she's already late with planning the whole thing.

We've never talked much about what they usually do for the summer, but I think they have a tradition to travel together for at least a week, just like they do on Thanksgiving.

The difference is that they choose a different place to go every year instead of going to Noah's lake house.

They are very weird with these traditions of theirs if you ask me.

I swear, they have a tradition for everything. Not that I don't like it, I think it's very cool, it's just weird.

"Do we have to talk about this now?" I look to my side to find Noah scowling at her, with his grumpy demeanor, even more than usual.

I don't blame him this time, to be honest. We were just finishing our lunch, when the door burst open and everyone entered his apartment without being announced, fact that only scared the shit out of us.

They didn't even send a text to say "hey, we're coming up", so imagine Noah's face when he saw our unexpected friends standing in the middle of his living room.

The guy who likes to take care of everyone and have it all under control suddenly is not in charge anymore. Especially being in his own house.

Yeah, he wasn't happy.

He kept mumbling to himself that he needs to remember to get his key back from Mads, but I know he won't do it. Mads is like a sister to him and although he gets annoyed when she does things like that, he loves her beyond he's willing to admit.

"God Madeleine, you can't just come in like this. What if we were naked?" Noah asked as soon as she opened the door, but she didn't care, as usual.

"Nothing I haven't seen before, Noah. Remember when I saw you two at the dorm?" He rolls his eyes at her and she laughs, while I feel my cheeks go pink with the memory.

"You saw them getting to it? Dude, that's so disgusting!" Tyler seems shocked with the information, as if he's ten years old and we're telling him that his parents actually do have sex.

"What are you guys even doing here? And what's in the bags?" Noah looks at me and seems to realize my discomfort, so he ignores the conversation and changes the topic.

"We came to spend the day with you." Mads says happily.

Aww, aren't they the best?

"What if we don't want to spend the day with you?" He asks, his arms crossed.

''Oh please, school will be over soon and you'll miss me."

"Hardly." He raises his eyebrow to her and frowns.

She shows him his tongue and he gives her the middle finger.

Sometimes I really forget that they are friends, they really look like siblings.

"Stop it, you two! Of course we want to spend the day with you guys. It will be fun.'' I say, with a smile.

"No, it won't." Noah mutters under his breath and I playfully smack his arm when he passes by me to go his bedroom.

I don't miss the small smile on his face though.

"Really, how can you put up with his bad mood? I love him, but damn, you should get an award for being this patient."

''He's not that bad.'' I joke.

"I'm not always in a bad mood, Madeleine." He says when he's back to the living room and places a kiss to my temple.

"Sure you aren't. Anyway, Oli will join us later, we brought supplies, ice cream, chocolate, snacks and those gummy bears that Tyler insisted in buying and we've also made a list of movies to watch. Not to mention the games to play. I'm so excited!"

"We were thinking about action movies, zombies and stuff, but Mads and Tyler were rooting for chick flick, so we have both on the list." Mark says.

"Hey, The Notebook is not chick flick, it's a classic, pay some respect please. Plus, It's not my fault that Rachel is so hot in that movie. Well, Rachel is so hot, period."

They go on talking about Tyler's obvious crush as I sit on the couch, right next to Noah, that puts my legs up on his lap, while they make themselves comfortable.

Mads is walking around giving orders to everyone until the supplies and drinks are organized, ice creams are in the fridge and we're all sitting with bowls of popcorn, ready for the movie.

Tyler is on the floor, Mads is sitting on the other side of Noah on the couch and Mark is also on the floor, in front of Mads. Noah's arm goes around my shoulder and he pulls me closer to him, so I can snuggle into his body.

"Before we start our plans, let's go back to the topic. What are we doing for summer? Mark and I will visit his family to spend some time with his sister and the baby, but after that, we're free for our trip."

"I guess we'll all do what we normally do, Mads. You and Mark will be together, Noah is going to work, obviously and I'll go home and do nothing. My mission is to become brainless for two entire months. I have to think too much in this college already." Tyler says.

"What about you, Ems?" Mads turns to me.

I think about it for a moment, but honestly, I don't have any plans. I've never had, I guess.

My summer time always consisted in staying home or traveling with Abby's family. Everything is just different with college, so I'm not sure what my plans could be.

Noah is looking at me curious, waiting for my answer. We never talked about our summer plans, but considering we were apart, I wasn't even thinking about it.

"I don't know, I'll probably go home." Noah frowns, but doesn't say anything. He just keeps looking at me, but then he fits the floor. "I'd like to spend time with you guys too and also be with my boyfriend."

At that, Noah's head turn to face me and his brows are raised, in surprise. My eyes are on him, because I was very conscious of what I said and how I said it.

By the smile that appeared on his face, he got my message.

"Boyfriend? Does this mean that we...?"

He stops mid sentence, looking a bit shocked. I don't know why he's so surprised, he was the one who said he considered me his girlfriend, I'm just confirming it.

Ok, so maybe he wasn't really expecting that.

"Yes, we are back together."

He gives me the most breathtaking smile, before cupping my face with both his hands and kissing me. It's not the deep kind of kiss, but it's definitely full of emotion.

"I love you so much." He says in a low hoarse voice, his mouth still on mine.

"I love you too." I answer in an equal low tone and I see his eyes light up.

"Aww, my favorite couple is game on again." Tyler claps his hands in front of him and I can't help but laugh out loud.

"What do you mean your favorite couple? What about Mark and I?" Mads says, her hands going to her hips, in a threatening way.

Poor Mark looks at Tyler and makes a joke, signing for him to just agree with her, like she's crazy or something.

"You know I love you guys and I'll be the best man at your wedding, I'll cry and all but these two are like a roller-coaster and you know I have a soft spot for this kind of things. They should have their own TV show. I'd watch it for sure."

"Of course you would. You don't miss 'Keeping up with the Kardashians', imagine your favorite couple's show." Mads pouts at him, apparently still hurt that Mark and her are not the number one couple on Ty's list.

With that, they start arguing about this, but Noah and I are absorbed in our own world to pay attention to them, Noah's mood changing drastically.

He keeps giving me small kisses and when his mouth is close to my ear, he whispers that he loves me.

That's basically how we spent the rest of the day.  Olivia arrived when we were in the middle of the second movie - the romantic one - and she was quick to catch up on what happened so far.

Everyone finally agreed to go spend a week during vacation somewhere in the east coast, Noah was still clinging on to me, a fact that didn't go unnoticed by our friends and I couldn't be happier.

Forgiving Noah was the best decision I could've made. It wasn't easy to get to this point and it's not like I forgot everything, but I'm honestly tired of fighting my feelings for him. The difference now is that I'll be more aware, so I don't get hurt.

I guess it's true what people say about being mature and having more experience. It will open your eyes and give you more knowledge on life, so you don't repeat mistakes.

I've learned my lesson and I truly feel like there are no more secrets between us. I know what his dad is up to, I know he's been talking to my father and I definitely know where I stand in his life, so it's good enough for me.

Ok, I'm getting too philosophical, so I'm stopping now.

"Can we send them away?" Noah asks, close to my ear once again, so only I can hear.

"Shh, stop trying to get rid of your friends." I say playfully.

"I'm not, I just want to be alone with you." Another whisper.

"We will be. Just be patient.'' I give him a quick peck on the lips, but he's quick enough and bites my lip, so I know why he wants to be alone.

''I'm not really good in being patient.''

''I don't really believe that.'' He was patient enough to wait until I forgave him, after all.

Thoughts about what happened come to my mind and I finally decide I'm in the right mood to do something I've been avoiding.

''Do you mind if I go to your bedroom to call my dad?'' He looks at me and blinks, smiling down at me.

''This is practically your house too, baby. You don't have to ask me that.''

By the way he's looking at me, I know he's happy that I'll finally call him. He's been insisting that I do it for the past days, but I've been dodging the topic.

It used to annoy me that he got close to my dad, but now I think it's kind of nice.

''Thank you.'' I smile and leave the room, after kissing him.

I close the door behind me to have some privacy and I sit on his bed, already dialing my dad's number.

''Emma. I'm glad you called.''

''Hi dad. Yeah, I've been meaning to call you. Sorry for not doing it before." I say, a bit embarrassed actually. I shouldn't have avoided him for this long.

"I understand. How are you?"

"I'm fine, school is almost over and I think I'll go home during summer, if that's ok with you." He's quick to answer.

"I would love that. I can take some days off and we can spend some time together, what do you think?"

I sense hesitation on his tone, but I get why he doesn't seem sure. We're always walking on thin ice, so he never knows how I'll react.

"Sure, I'd like that." And I mean it. It's still a foreign feeling, but I like it.

"If you don't mind me asking, how are things with you and Noah? Are you..." he stops mid sentence.

"Yeah, we are." I nod and smile, although he can't see me.

"Oh, that's good, Ems. I know what he did was wrong and I've got my eyes on him, but I know how much he cares about you."

Well, that's definitely a change.

"Dad, can we talk about your company someday? It's just that, you know, I feel like knowing more about it, since you and Noah are working on... whatever you're working on."

"Really? Oh, ok, sure. Maybe we can talk about it when you come home?" I know he's more excited than he's letting out.

For the past couple of years, he's been trying to get me involved, but I always shut him out.

"Ok, that would be good, I guess."

"You should bring Noah too. I mean, would be nice to spend time with your boyfriend."

I smile at that, just when I hear a soft knock on the door and Noah walks in.

"Dad, I gotta go, can I talk to you later?"

"Call me anytime."

We hang up after a few more seconds, but my eyes are on Noah standing with his arms crossed.

As soon as I hang up, he sits next to me on his bed.

"Sorry to interrupt, I thought you were done with the call."

"It's ok. It was good talking to him."

"I'm glad to hear that." He grabs my hand in his and squeezes it softly.

"So, would you like to go to my hometown with me? I'll go there at some point during summer and I'd love if you could go too. You could meet where I grew up, not that it's a big deal, but I'd like you to meet Abby and Ryan."

He keeps looking at me, but doesn't say anything, as if he's thinking deeply. Maybe he doesn't want to do that.

"You don't have to go, if you don't want—" he cuts me off and smiles.

"I'd love to go."

"Really?"

"Emma, sometimes you understimate how much I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Yes, I want to meet your friends and your home. If it's important to you, than it's important to me."

I don't say anything, I just jump on his neck and give him a passionate kiss and he immediately kisses me back.

''Guys, are you naked?'' Tyler's voice echoes through the door and we tell him to come in.

''We were here for like two minutes Tyler, why would you think we're already naked?''

''Well, after Mads said she saw the two of you, I feel like I should ask.'' Noah rolls his eyes and I chuckle. ''We're leaving. Mads is almost passed out on the couch, so we'll go before we have to carry her sleepy ass to the car.''

We make our way to the living room to say goodbye to them and once they are gone and we finish cleaning everything, I decide to go take a shower before going to bed.

Just as I step into the hot water, I hear the door crack open and Noah enters, already taking his clothes off to join me. As soon as he's in the shower, he hugs me from behind and places a kiss on my shoulder.

''Today was a good day.'' I say.

''Yeah, surprising enough, it was.'' I turn around and put my arms around his neck.

''Of course it was, I know you love them.''

''No, I love you.'' He kisses me softly. ''You know, there's one thing missing to make this day perfect.''

''Really? What is it?''

He grabs me by my tight and lifts me up, so my legs go around his waist.

Yeah, this day is definitely perfect.
