The next morning, the sounds of birds chirping chimed outside the bedroom windows. Warm rays from the hot sun poured through the balcony doors, displaying a yellow light onto their intertwined bodies.

Rainy winced as the harsh brightness entered her eyes, she blinked a few times to adjust to the light but that only made the dull pounding against her head worsen, raising her hands up to cover her face. She rubbed her eyes to try and get the sleep out and turned herself around to the side.

The look of pure panic hastily spread like wildfire across her face.

Well, that would explain her current severe headache, she thought. She was so hungover that she hadn't even realised the body warmth coming from another person besides her.

And that said person was definitely not who she was expecting to see.

She couldn't have could she?

Pushing the covers slightly off her body, her eyes darted down to see her naked body with no underwear on. She frowned, clearly confused.

That could mean anything.

She looked around the dark messy room, spotting her dress by the foot of the bed and other random belongings that she possessed scattered around. Her attention moved back onto the sleeping body next to her and she narrowed her eyes trying to remember anything from last night.

What the hell happened?

He was still asleep, his messy curls splayed across their pillows. His face looked relaxed, and peaceful, something she didn't see often. His dark eyebrows framed his face nicely, alongside his well groomed beard. He'd kicked off most of the blankets, like he did every night, his arms and legs all askew. She couldn't help but stare at him, his naked chest heaved up and down, air spilling in and out of those soft lips.

Silver was a handsome man, there was no denying that. There had been numerous times in her lectures where Rainy could hear the never ending whispers about how good the intimidating professor looked that day. Of course the way he educated his students was stern and callous, but there was something about him that captivated the attention of many.

Her eyes flickered down onto the tattoos that scattered around his body, she didn't dare to let her fingers graze the ink and instead tried to decode the reasoning behind each piece herself. She started with the scorpion tattoo, it curved around his bicep and all the way onto his shoulder.

She wondered if he was the type to just get a tattoo or if there was a thought process behind it.

He was a philosophy professor, there most definitely had to be some long winded detailed explanation. Rainy snorted at that, imagining him explaining his tattoos in one of his boring lectures.

When she felt him stir next to her, her frown only became deeper as she panicked. She didn't have the chance to clamp her eyes shut and pretend to sleep because he had already opened his eyes and yawned loudly turning to the side.

They didn't say anything at first when their eyes connected.

Rainy watched as his eyes found hers with ease, he seemed to take in her messy bed hair, flushed face and plump lips before a low chuckle sounded from him. It was short lived but it enough to make her feel like she had been set on fire.

Her cheeks burned, the feeling of wanting to hide submerging her entire body. She wasn't sure why she felt shy in that moment, but something about the vulnerability of him seeing her in her most natural state was unsettling.

"No we didn't have sex, you can stop freaking out."

His voice was thick and laced with sleep, it was husky and so low that she felt the need to push her thighs together to stop herself from creaming the sheets right then and there.Β

Trying to ignore her illicit thoughts, she pushed them back and gave him a look of disbelief. "What am I doing in your bed? And why am I butt naked?" She asked in a nagging manner.

Silver shrugged, another yawn escaping his mouth and he lazily reached up to run a hand through his hair. He had moved onto his back, staring up at the ceiling. The feel of her harsh glare piercing into the side of his head. "You projectile vomited all over yourself and then me last night, so I gave you a shower, and put you to bed. What else did you want me to do?"

"Oh I don't know," She snapped bitterly, "maybe put some clothes on me before I passed out."

"I didn't want to ruin any of my shirts." He said matter of factly.

Rainy scoffed. "And so letting me freeze to death is the better option?"

Rolling his eyes at her frustration, he cocked his head to look at her and rose a brow. "You know any normal sane person would be grateful to hear that they had been cleaned up, showered and put safely to bed after throwing up all night."

"I never said I wasn't grateful." She huffed in a low way under her breath.

"That doesn't sound like a thank you to me dolcezza."

She knew at that moment that she was being hard on him. After all, he was the one that had looked after her when she was too intoxicated to function properly. Silver Rivera had taken time out of his night to look after her.

"I'm sorry." It took all of her strength to utter those two simple words.

Silver was surprised to hear the words leave her mouth, so much so that he even turned around so that he was facing her and placed two hands on his face in mock disbelief. "What was that?" He asked, wanting her to say it again.

She knew exactly what he was doing.

Rainy scowled, opening her mouth before closing it again. "I'm sorry, I'm acting like a massive bitch. Thank you for taking care of me." She said through gritted teeth.

Was that sincere enough for him?

"You are a massive bitch, but you're welcome. I guess." The teasing tone in his voice made her gasp, and raise her hand smacking him unexpectedly.

"Hey! Don't call me that." Her features softened, the corners of her mouth curling up as her dimples peeked out. The atmosphere in the room filled with their light and airy humour. It was comfortable.

Rainy was the first to break the silence. "What does dolcezza mean?" She was sure she was butchering the pronunciation, and by the way, the grin pulled onto his face she was certain she had said it wrong.

"Dolcezza." He corrected her emphasising on the word so it came out as doll-cΓ©z-za, before proceeding. "It means sweetheart."

That made the wrinkles between her eyebrows appear as she weaved them together in confusion.

Silver was taken aback by her reaction and cleared his throat as if to make it less awkward. "It's a common term of endearment that many people in Italy use." He frowned. "Eli doesn't call you anything in Italian?"

She shook her head.

Rainy knew her boyfriend wasn't the type to be sentimental, especially when it came to pet names he despised them all.Β

She actually liked the silly pet-names.

"What else do you say." Rainy muttered, looking up at him through her thick lashes when he stopped briefly. He had assumed she would ridicule him, but instead she wanted to know more. When he hesitated trying to find the right phrase to say, she helped him out and said. "How do you say you are the love of my life in Italian."

"Sel l'amore della mia vitta."

She echoed it back, fumbling a little on some of the words.

He shook his head, coaching her. "Roll your 'r' a little."

When she repeated the words almost perfectly, he hummed in approval.

Rainy bit her bottom lip, thinking about how she should've gotten these lessons from Elijah. Staring at him, she sighed. "In Farsi you would say; 'Dooset daram.'"

Silver let her gentle words settle in the air, finding it endearing how her accent changed ever so slightly in her mother tongue. When she spoke the Persian language, she sounded a lot sweeter and more soft spoken.

When he tried to copy her words, she laughed a whole hearted laugh. Her eyes twinkled with mirth, and she moved closer to him shaking her head.

"No." Her finger moved to draw the words on his chest as she repeated herself. "Doo," Her voice was like sweet honey, the melodious sounds causing him to stiffen up against her touch. "set." He couldn't stop staring at her sinful lips. "Daram."

"Doorset daram?"

Rainy snorted, scrunched her nose up when she tried again. "Doo-set." When he mimicked her, she nodded. "Now say it together." Silver said it loud and clear, and she grinned showing her pearly whites to him as she patted his chest. "Perfect." She smiled.

"What does it mean?" He asked curiously.

"I love you." Rainy said dismissively, busy drawing shapes on his chest to notice his dark eyes following the movement of her fingers.

He found it strange that they could hold a conversation for this long without the other person getting annoyed. He wasn't sure whether he liked it or hated it. However, what he did know was that her touch was sending him into a frenzy, he could feel himself growing harder by the passing second.

Just the thought of anyone even wanting to learn a little about her language was enough to coat her with lust.

She swallowed back her emotions, and lifted her head up to look at him. She could feel his morning wood grazing her bare thigh through his boxers, reaching up she brushed her lips slowly against his.

Rainy had barely pulled away, before she felt his rough hands snake up the back of her neck and crash their mouths together in forbidden passion.

"We can't both be late to breakfast, that'll be too obvious." Her low, sexy voice muffled. Her words were mixed in with the breathy moans, and she let her hands wander down to the waistband of his boxers before running her fingers around the band. Her touch brought goosebumps to his skin in anticipation.

Pulling away from her kiss, he moved his mouth to work on her neck. Biting, kissing and licking. Silver briefly glanced over at the alarm clock on his bedside table, taking in the bold numbers.

"We still have twenty minutes."

And that was all that she needed to hear.
