ARIEL

I expecting Kingsley to be angry, furious even. But the only expression I could read from his face was curiosity and wonder. He was truly shocked to see what I had just done. If he was shocked, I wonder if he could even imagine how I was feeling. I didn't mean to throw Minnie against the wall, I felt bad as soon as it happened. But I hated how angry she made my mate's. Every word she said to them got under their skin and she wouldn't stop. She was a frustrating girl, and relentless. She wanted Kingsley and Kale all to herself, her obsession with them was ridiculous. "How are you feeling?" Kingsley stood closer to me. His panicked eyes searched my face for any sign of pain. "I'm fine." I Shrugged. "Just shocked, is she okay?" Kingsley shook his head and laughed while Kale stood behind him with his lips pressed together. Kingsley turned to look back and Kale while still smiling. "She just tossed Minnie against the wall with her mind, and she's asking if the other person is alright?" Kingsley laughed and licked his lips. "Sweetheart. Minnie is going to be dead in a few minutes. The question is, are you alright?" He gave me an are you kidding kind of look and I sighed. "I'm fine, like I said. But I don't like that I can't control the anger that comes over me. As soon as it does, I act out on the anger and that's when this happens. I hurt whoever the threat is. This is the same thing that happened back at Sarge's laboratory or whatever it was. The woman made me angry, and I acted out on the anger without being able to control it. I imagined how I wanted to defend myself and that's exactly what happened." I slowly looked into Kingsley's eyes. He stared at me with admiration. The orange sun beemed down on his face, making him look like he was glowing.

"Come here." He whispered. He forced my body into his, making me breathe into his chest. He held me tightly, snaking his hand in its rightful place right in my hair. "This is why I had Eleanor date Dylan. He was like you. He could do things, many things. One of them was controlling things with his mind, it was magnificent. Ariel, you are... definitely what Minnie said, you are, an earth being." I lifted my head from his chest to look at him. "Your mind and body are in tune with the earth. It moves with you, you move with it. My face scrunches up, and I step an inch away from him, my arms snake around my own waist. "But I don't want to be this person, an 'earth being'. I don't want this. I don't want people coming after me, or always having to watch my back because of someone wanting to take me or what I have." I frowned.

I was absolutely terrified of myself the more I got into my head about this. I wasn't an angry or violent person but these powers...they made me violent. They made me do things I wouldn't ever do.

Kale stepped forward, glancing at Kingsley. They both looked a little loss for words. "This is who you are baby, I'm sorry that you don't like it but you can't run from it or pretend that it's not within you Ariel... because it very much is." Kale softened his words while stepping closer to me. Now he was a little closer to me then Kingsley was. He was about to reach for me-

"Alpha"

We all turned to see commander George emerging from the pack village. With his hands comfortably folded behind his back he spoke with urgency. "My apologies for interrupting." He nodded his head to all of us, but set his eyes back on Kale and Kingsley. "But Alpha Unsler is here and he is in a hurry. He says there is an emergency back at his pack and that he has to get you both to the boat now in order to get back to his pack to handle his affairs."

Anger took over both of my mates faces. "This better be a serious emergency. We are having a much needed discussion with our mate and I am not happy about being interrupted" Kingsley growled. He took a few deep breaths and looked back at George. "Thank you George for informing me, we will be leaving now then. You do remember the everything we discussed for when Kale and I leave?" George's eyes glance over at me before he answer's Kingsley.
"I do alpha." He nods. "Thanks again George." Kingsley turned from George and George makes his way back to the village. So this was it, my mate's were now leaving. I didn't like this one bit.

They both stared at me, looking equally sad. They didn't want to leave me, especially not in the middle of this kind of conversation. I stepped forward, wrapping my arms around Kale's waist. He quickly hugged me back, and planted kissed on top of my head. "We will finish this when we come back. Everything will be just fine, don't worry about any of this Ariel I mean it." He demanded lowly. I took my face from his chest and kissed him. He smiled against my lips but kissed me back. I was going to miss him so much, a few days apart was a lot when I just got Kale back. I hugged Kingsley next, my arms around his neck and his around my waist.
When my hands started to loosen around his neck, his arms loosened around my body. He held my chin and placed a long kiss on my lips, I was a little out of breathe when we ended the kiss. My big bad wolf. I stared into his troubled blue eyes. I was going to miss him so very much.

"I would walk you guys to the pack entrance but I don't want to watch you leave." I looked between them and they both nodded. Before I could turn around and walk away, Kingsley grabbed my hand. I turned to see him grinning. "I love you." He stated. I couldn't help but to smile. "And when I get back, I'm going to have you in bed, probably for a few days." Those words came out of his mouth in a husky tone. His eyes even darkened. My mouth watered as I imagined what he would do to me on this blood moon that we were getting. "Only you could make a jealous man out of me." I looked up at Kale who was smirking at me. He and Kingsley were both reading my mind.

A shy laughed left my lips. "I love you Kale." I told him. I couldn't leave him out. "I love you Ariel." He sang. He said it like he wanted to say it over and over  and over again. Leaving them with one last smile I quickly turned and headed back into the pack village. I had to distract myself from the fact that they were leaving. I was happy though, that we weren't leaving on a bad note.

Once I made it to the row of homes in the mini neighborhood of the pack I asked one of the commanders where Eleanor's house was. He pointed a white one out to me that had a porch with a flower pot on a mini table. It was a cute house and definitely looked like one she would live in. I jogged up the stairs of the porch and knocked on the door. It swung open, and I was met with Eleanor's huge
smile. "Get in here!" She pulled me in by my hand, making me laugh. I followed her down the pretty hallway of her bright house. We passed her kitchen on the left which had a grey table a few feet away from the sink and fridge. She marble cabinets and countertops. The living room was straight ahead and very pretty as well. A long white sectional couch sat in front of the large windows. Taylor was sitting on the couch, and cheered when she saw me. A black table was placed in front of the couch and a black flat screen was on the wall to the left of the couch. Eleanor had a desktop computer to the right of the room and then further to the right were the stairs. I sat on the couch between them both, it felt good to see them a second time today, it felt like I haven't seen them much recently.

"Eleanor, this house is so beautiful." I gushed. Everything was so cute and cozy. "Thank you sis, now tell us. What happened with you guys earlier? Because we saw Kingsley flipping out on Theodore. Plus every girl in the pack is crushing on your friend Theodore." Taylor and Eleanor gave me their undivided attention, leaning over me like I was about to spill the biggest gossip in town.

My eyes widened. "Really?" I don't know why I was shocked. Theodore wasn't a bad looking guy at all. Actually he was very handsome. "Oh please." Taylor laughed. "The girls here act like he's Harry's Styles or something. They think he's beautiful, they love his eyes, blah blah blah."

"Wow" I laughed some more. Eleanor grabbed my hand and squeezed it. "But he seems to genuinely care about you, that's good. That's why Kingsley and Kale are letting him stay. That was definitely news to me. "Oh my gosh that is so good. I'm so happy the twins didn't hold yesterday against Theo. He's a great guy and he has no family or anything." I explained.

"So we gave him a nickname?" Eleanor raised her eyebrows in a sneaky way and I slapped her leg. "Oh Shush, saying Theodore over and over it's just a mouthful. I like Theo." I shrugged.

"Well you aren't the only one." Taylor added. This time I slapped her leg. "Taylor!" I whined which made her laugh. "I'm joking." She choked out. She fell to the side and started to laugh harder. "You better not joke about that before Kingsley hears you all the way from the middle of nowhere and comes back to kill you for saying that about his mate." Eleanor warned her and started to look around the house in a paranoid manner. "Shit did you hear that? I think I heard Kingsley punching down my front door." Eleanor had a playful panicked look on her face.

"Oh my gosh don't joke like that!" Taylor eyes widened in fear. She was 100% afraid of that happening. Even though Eleanor was playing with her, Taylor actually believed Kingsley would do that. The more I thought about it I didn't doubt that He probably would have kicked down the door if he did hear her say that. I sat between both of them cracking up laughing myself. I couldn't believe how hilarious either of them were being right now.

"I'm going to get some water." Taylor stands up and shakes her head at Eleanor and I because we were still laughing. "Be careful!" Eleanor called out. "Kingsley might be hiding in the fridge, ready to snap you in half!"

"Yeah, yeah." Taylor's voice echoed down the hall. I didn't think I could laugh any harder but i did once she said that because we knew she was a little scared. I was holding my stomach and laying  my head on the couch from laughing so hard because I couldn't sit up straight anymore. In the back of my mind I kept thinking of how much I needed this. Time with friends, laughing with them, forgetting everything that's bad, only if it's for a little bit.

"Okay, okay." Eleanor laughed. Her laughter started to die down as she tried to compose herself. I sat up as well and moved closer to her. I turned on the couch so I was facing her. "So did your mates tell you everything that they set up for while they are gone?" She asks. She starts to use her fingers to massage her hair up into a pony tail. I shook my head no. "We were having an important conversation right before they left, so we couldn't really talk about any of that." I told her. She nods and uses the yellow hair tie that was on her wrist, to tie her hair into a bun.

"Well like usual, you will have 24/7 commander patrol outside of the pack house. Theodore offered to help with that by the way." She smiled.

I smiled right back at her. "That's good, it'll be nice to be able to hang out with him that way."
Eleanor nodded and turned her body so it was facing me too. "Hm what else." She glanced at the ceiling.
"Oh, Minnie got escorted to a safe house. They are going to kill her there." Eleanor shook her head. I shook mine as well. Sadness took over me.
"That poor girl." My body shivered a little. I just saw her not too long ago, and it was going to be the last time because my mates were going to kill her.

"Poor girl?" Eleanor looked at me like I was crazy.
"Don't you mean yay? As In yay she's going to die? That girl is crazy Ariel, her and her father do not have a conscious." She shook her head and I bit back the urge to say anything else. In my eyes, no matter how evil everyone said Minnie was, she was still a young girl to me. She didn't have to die. Before I could part my lips to say anything anything else, I covered my ears with both hands because a blaring alarm went off inside of Eleanor's house. A flashing white light flashed throughout her living room and I looked up to see it was coming from her fire alarm. Her and I both jumped to our feet, and Taylor ran into the room. "Come on!" She told us. I had no idea what was going on but I followed them both out of the house.

Once we were outside, it was packed. Everyone was making  their way toward one direction and it was to the lunch hall. There was a big crowd, the entire pack was outside and they weren't waisting anytime getting into the building. Everyone also looked worried. So something was obviously wrong. As I sped walked with Taylor and Eleanor I watched women and men carrying their small children, teenagers with their small families and friends and even older couples walking together toward the building. When the girls and I finally made it into the building a commander approached me. "Luna." He nodded his head to me. "Hi." I greeted him. "Felix right?" He had a greying beard. He was tall and on the thicker side weight wise. He had large muscles and always wore a bullet proof vest over his clothes much like the other commanders. They were all 100% prepared to get shot at, in any time.

"When Alpha Kingsley and Kale are gone you are the cheif. Please come to the stage, we have an emergency." I looked back at Taylor and Eleanor who were just as intrigued as me. I nodded and let the Felix lead the way. We approached the large black stage and walked up the stairs. Commander George was standing their giving intructions to three comamanders who were standing beside him. When I approached him he immediately faced me and bowed his head. "Luna, we have a situation which needs your attention." I could see the worry in his eyes. "Your dear friend Grace came back to us. It took 10 commanders to fight her off of one but then she escaped again. We will need all of the residents to stay here until we capture her. Then we will need to contact our Alpha for further instructions."

George's words hit me fast. The only thing I could think about now was Grace. She came to us. We didn't even have to go looking for her once my mates found the witch. She came back to us on her own. The I looked at George. He obviously called me over here because he needed help. So I was gonna help alright, without Kingsley and Kale being involved.

"No!" I blurted out. "Do not contact Kale and Kingsley, if you do they will worry for the packs and mines safety, they will cancel their trip. If they cancel it, the witch who they are meeting will grow suspicious and she probably won't be willing to meet with them the next time. We need this witch, we need her help." I explained. The witch was already suspicious on why my mates wanted to meet with her in the first place, i didn't need them canceling last minute and them ruining our chances of getting help from her all together.

I glanced around the room at the worried pack members. Lots of them were starring up at me on stage, their eyes begged for answers for what was going on. They wanted to be assured of protection, and most of all, they wanted to make sure their families would remain safe. "Let's keep the pack here until we capture her like you said, but don't lock her up here. Take her to one of Kingsley's safe house which I'm sure he has? And lock her up their. That way we are all out of harms way and my mate's can figure the rest out when they get back."

"I am not doubting your plan, it sounds like a great idea from beginning to end. But are you sure Luna? Are you sure we shouldn't contact our Alpha?" George genuinely wanted to know if I felt my decision was a good one. I was happy he wasn't doubting me, just making sure we shouldn't involve Kingsley who he has been working for his entire life. I nodded my head. "I'm sure George."

George nodded at me. "We have commanders searching for her as we speak, and we have commanders guarding the outside of this building."
I sighed. "Good." Taylor and Eleanor stood behind me and they heard everything. I walked closer to the microphone and looked back at the girls again. They both gave me encouraging smiles so i faced the microphone again and peered over the pack.

"Attention everyone." My voice poured into the microphone. At the sound of my voice, everyone quieted. Their eyes fell onto me and the silence in the room made my throat feel as if it was closing up. I began to think about my mates. Especially Kingsley. I was his equal when it came to this pack. I was the woman of the pack, the one who everyone counted on when Kingsley wasn't here. I stared at all the nervous faces in the crowd. No one looked judgmental, no one looked intimidating or offended that I was acquiring their attention. They just simply wanted answers. They wanted to know that they were safe and they wanted to hear it from their Luna.

"I will not sugar coat anything by lying to make sure no one panics. I know Kingsley has built this pack on trust, and understanding. Most of all he's built this pack on love. He's made sure everyone has what they need, always and forever we will make sure everyone is well cared for and is okay. Unfortunately our pack has had an attack. We have commanders outside right this instant searching for the attacker. Meanwhile you will all stay here until it is safe to go back home. The commanders will not stop until the attacker is found and the outskirts of the pack is thoroughly searched and considered safe. Food will be served, and anything else you may need please come to me or commander George." I motioned to George beside me who was grinning at me.
"Thank you." I ended and the room erupted in applause. I immediately turned from the crowd since I knew my face was probably red from embarrassment. I didn't think they would boo me off the stage, but I definitely wasn't expecting any clapping. I just wanted everyone to feel safe. I wanted everyone to know it was going to be okay, and that I was going to make sure of it.

"Spoken like a true Luna, I think Alpha Kingsley needs to step aside a bit and give you more duties." George peered down at me with confidence in his  words. He wasn't even smiling anymore. "I knew It. We all knew it. You were meant for this pack." He added. His arms stayed comfortably behind his back.

"Thank you so much commander George I really appreciate that. But how can you see I'm so good just by one little speech?" I genuinely wanted to know. The room went back to its low mummer of conversations as we talked. George watched the crowd as we stood next to his each other.

"To reign over a pack of wolves you have to have a certain want and need to help them. You have to possess the demeanor of a leader within yourself. The look on your face dear Luna, when you spoke to the pack. Shows it. You have it. It's all there." He smiled. "It's all there."
