"This is your fucking fault you wanted to tell her about us. I should breaking your fucking neck!"
Kingsley roared angrily at Kale. Since I was wrapped in Kale's embrace I could feel his entire body tense up as Kingsley yelled at him. His powerful voice echoed around us as the wind blew. My body shivered, as I pushed my head deeper into Kale's arms.

"You wanna keep her in the dark forever?" Kale's voice was equally as powerful. I felt the vibration of his voice in chest. "She needs to know what the fuck she's dealing with. We cant keep her hidden from the truth and it's time you wake the fuck up and realize that." Kale was standing face to face with Kingsley as he held me in his arms. He didn't say anything else to Kingsley and continued to hold me. Kingsley got closer to us and he and I looked at each other.

Kale then slowly let me to my feet. I could tell he didn't want to let me go but from the sudden silence from both of them I could tell they were about to tell me what I needed to know. I noticed my ankle didn't hurt anymore and it was so weird, I was pretty sure I broke it earlier. Kale and Kingsley both looked at me with defeated expressions on their faces but serious nonetheless.

"You need to hear this." Kale stated with raised eye brows. He sighs and looks back at me.

"We were born three hundred and fifteen years ago."
I nearly choked on my saliva. I wasn't at all prepared for that. "Are you okay?" Kale asked. They both were looking at me worriedly waiting for my response.

"315 years? Ago?" I repeated it. This must be a joke. I've never viewed them as ancient, or anything as old as that. "This has to be a joke." I whispered but their expressions didn't change. "All of this is just...crazy." I shook my head as Kale continued.

"Our mother didn't abandon us like your mom and our dad told you...she's ancient as well and still very much alive." He pointed out in matter of fact kind of tone. "They just couldn't tell you that our mother was vampire and simply had to live her life out as such. She couldn't contain herself from human blood so she had to live far away from humans until she could learn to help herself. It wasn't always like this though."

I just looked at them stunned. Not sure if I believed a single word.

"Our mother's name is Alicia Greyson. Back then she was married to our father Walter Greyson. They were madly in love and of course wanted to start a family. So they had us. They had twins." Kale tells me. They both watch me closely as he speaks. I take in every word he says to me. "Walter was a wolf. He was an Alpha who had his own wolf pack as well"

My mouth dropped. I considered Walter my dad my entire life and this entire time he wasn't even a full human? How the hell did I miss that?

"Our mother however was human at the time so when we were born it was a 50/50 chance that one of us or both of us would come out part werewolf. Kingsley did." Kale says. I look at Kingsley who's staring right back at me. "So we grew up in our dad's wolf pack. My mom and I were the only full humans. While Walter and Kingsley were part wolf. The pack members are considered our family and everything was actually going great until one day. On our 23rd birthday to be exact, our pack got attacked."
My eyes widened as Kale goes on with the story.

"By the werewolves greatest enemy, Vampires." Kale smirks and shakes his head as if what he said was ridiculous to him. "They attacked our village and half the people in it. Half of our pack was wiped out because of this attack. The vampires were ruthless and wanted all of us dead. When one of the vampires came to our specific house in the village our father wasn't there it was just us and our mother. We were sleeping and our mother was awake cleaning the house. The vampire walked right into the front door. He was a man who actually knew our mother. They went to the same school growing up. Wanna know why he was the only vampire who came to our house that night?" Kale asks me and I nod.

"Our mother told him that she wanted to be like him. She wanted super human strength. She wanted to be something greater then human. She was tired of being around a bunch of werewolves who were fast, powerful and can change into an animal in the blink of an eye. She was ashamed of being human. Do you know what I would give to be a human again?" Kale's  eyes are gentle as he stares at me. He sighs again.

"Our mother ran into her vampire friend nights prior to this attack and she found out he was a vampire. His name was Declan Bucane. She asked Declan if he could get other vampires to attack our pack to make this all look real. She wanted to make it seem like her being turned into one of them was an accident. The man turned her in our home, and after he did he left her there so he could go back outside and kill more of our pack members with his vampire friends. He didn't even realize that he left their for her to come to our rooms and..." Kale pauses and looks at the ground as if he's remembering every little detail about this particular night. Kingsley looks away from our direction. I can tell this subject was still a dark memory for them.

"She went to Kingsley's room,  pulled his blankets back and he was sound asleep. She sank her teeth into his neck, draining his body. His screams woke me up out of my sleep. I jumped out of bed and ran to his room to see blood all over his body. He was dead. Even though he is a werewolf and definitely strong he was sleep when she did this so he couldn't even fully react. As I stood in horror in Kingsley's doorway watching my mother on top of him she turns to me and smiles. Her face was bloody, her eyes were blood shot red and her mouth was wide open exposing her teeth. She made this weird noise and came for me, tackling me to the floor and biting into my neck. She drank so much of me that I died too. See the thing is, when a vampire is first turned their thirst for blood is at a all time high. She didn't see us as her sons in those moments. Just food. Declan eventually came back to the house a few minutes later to check on our mother and he saw what she had done. He didn't want us to die because he knew our mother would regret it when she came to her senses. So he did the only thing he thought reasonable. He fed us his blood."

My eyes were filled with tears listening to Kale's every word. I couldn't imagine how traumatizing that had to be for them. His own mother turned him.

"So how are you still alive?" I ask Kingsley. "And not a vampire?"

"The royal wolf blood running through my veins." He replied to me with a somber look. "Because I am a wolf and she killed me, the vampire who fed me his blood brought me back just how I am. The only thing is I have some vampire qualities. My age froze just like Kale's did when he turned that night. We will be 23 forever. Also in my human form I am faster and stronger because of the vampire blood. But me being a wolf is what stopped me from turning into a vampire." He explains.

Everything made sense now. When Eleanor came to visit, she showed me pictures of when she was a small child. The twins looked the same age then as they do now. It all made sense.

"What about my mom? Was she human?" I suddenly thought. If Walter was a wolf how did my mom make it into the picture?

They both went stiff at my question. Kingsley shook his head and scratched it before looking back at me. "Ariel I don't think you want to know the answer to that question." He said it as if that was his answer right there.

"What?" I began to feel even more panicked.
"You have to tell me, why wouldn't you want to tell me something like that?" My voice sounded like I was pleading. I was so confused and I just wanted answers.

Kale looked at Kingsley and then looked back down at me. He looked like he was going to regret what he was going to say next. "She was something far more powerful than any of us. But we don't know exactly what she was. She died with that secret."

Kingsley then reached out to grab my hand.
"They weren't on drugs Ariel." He whispered. He was talking about Walter and my mom. My heart dropped again. "They were taking this medicine that suppresses their supernatural powers. There's a werewolf doctor that makes it for us and they were taking it so they could live amongst humans and raise you without any issues."

"I have to sit down." I told them. It was funny that I didn't faint when Kingsley turned into a dog right before my eyes, and Kale's face went from drool worthy handsome to a red faced monster with vampire teeth. But now that they are telling me that my mom and Walter didn't die from drugs I suddenly couldn't stand anymore. They helped me to sit on the grass and then they sat in front of me with their legs stretched forward.

My mouth was still slightly opened from pure shock. I couldn't believe what they were saying to me right now. I lived my entire pre teen life blaming drugs for my mom and Walters behavior. Now I'm finding out it was all a lie. I felt horrible.

I looked at them both as a thought came to me.
"Is that what you two have been taking? I heard you guys in your office saying you were running out of something, and that you guys couldn't control yourselves around me?"

They both nodded and Kingsley spoke.
"We had to start taking it the day we went to court and won custody over you. We didn't want to expose you to this life just as much as your mother didn't. We knew since you were our mate we would feel the overwhelming need to claim you, mark you, and just be with you. But when people know about us it just becomes dangerous from that point on. We were going to keep taking the medicine and just take care of you...Anyway Walter and your mother took too much of the medicine and yes they killed themselves." Kingsley finished and I saw as he and Kale looked at each other for a moment. This was a lot to take in. It was mentally exhausting.

My mother wasn't a human either. I wouldn't be surprised if they told me next that Bikini bottom and sponge-bob was real.

Then another thought dawned on me.

"If my mother isn't human, what does that mean for me?" I was almost scared to ask.

"You're human Ariel." Kingsley immediately said. "You are a perfect little human." He assured me which wasn't needed because I knew I wasn't a god damn werewolf, and I wasn't a vampire and I didn't have any magic powers and I wasn't sponge bob. A part of me was relieved to know that I was just a normal girl.

"Anyway." Kingsley breathed. "Our mother's friend Declan stayed at our home that night that he turned us and he waited for our father to come back. He came back the next day and almost killed Declan when he realize what had happened. After he explained to Walter what happened to his family he knew he had to hide us to protect us because werewolves were at war with vampires at the time so if anyone found out that his wife and his son was now one, people would come for us and try to kill us. Walter also left our mother that day. When he discovered our mother turned Kale and that she bit me he wanted to kill her. She was very regretful of course when she realized what she had done to us but Walter hated her for it and never forgave her so She she left with Declan. Lucky for us, our father was great friends with the Werewolf King at the time and he wanted to help us. He believed every one should love each other. No matter what kind of mythical creature they were. But the Vampire council, aka The plurimum, had a big issue with it."

I noticed Kale looked uncomfortable as Kingsley told the story. "The vampire council is the boss of the vampires?" I asked them. They both nodded and Kale looked deep into my eyes again with no real expression that I could read.

"The plurimum, it's latin for most powerful.
We killed them." Kale stated blankly and I lowly gasped. "But that's another story for another time." He rubs my knee as he continues.

"Walter had to move us into the werewolf king's castle in secret. It was the only safe place for our family. Since werewolves didn't care for vampires at the time the King couldn't let anyone know our family was living there. When a vampire is born they are never really a full vampire until they taste human blood. Then we develop our full abilities and our age freezes. So I wasn't completely turned yet. When we moved into the castle the day after I was turned I craved blood so badly that I allowed Walter to locked me up in the dungeon below the castle because I was threatening to drink from our father. I was so hungry for it, and It was my natural instinct to want blood, that's what vampires do. It was normal." Kale explained.

I nodded as Kale told the story as if it had just happened yesterday. "We were only in the castle for a few hours when I managed to escape from the castles dungeon and I killed 360 of the Werewolf King's men. It was a blood bath." Kale squeezed his eyes shut as the memories took over in his head.
I put my hand over his that was still laying on my knee to comfort him.

"Of course when I tasted the blood of the men I instantly began developing my strength. That was the day my age stopped and I became 23 years old forever."

"How are you feeling about all of this?" Kingsley suddenly asks me. I didn't know what to say at the moment. I wanted to cry, scream, and pull my hair out. I still wanted to go crawl in a hole and hide. I was shocked, freaked out but my body still didn't feel any different toward them. It still wanted them. It still craved them.

"Keep going." I told them.

They both looked hesitant but Kingsley's still continued. His rubbed his strong hand through his curls as he spoke. "The king had to remove us from the castle at this point so we all had to go our separate ways. Our father couldn't handle a vampire so I had to help Kale with his blood appetite. It took  years but it worked. Of course our father eventually moved on from our mother because she had been away for so long, hiding from us all. She needed to be away from human blood for a long time to build up a tolerance against it again and I guess our father couldn't wait for her. I took over his Wolf Pack which was in Canada because he didn't want that life anymore. He abandoned his duties as an Alpha. He had one of the biggest packs in the world which is now passed down to me. Years and years later after he and our mom split and our father eventually met your mother 20 years ago and they fell in love and got married. They eventually had Eleanor. He moved to America to raise her here. It had only been a few years after Eleanor was born when things got weird. Our father came to Canada to visit us and his pack but when he came back to see Eleanor and your mother he discovered your mother was pregnant. He was happy at first, but it quickly disappeared when he realized they haven't had sex, they didn't do anything for months because they were both just so busy. So of course he thought she cheated. She insisted that she wouldn't ever cheat and that she was just as shocked as him but she wanted to keep the baby."

"We all assumed she cheated." Kale added. I nodded understanding how they would think that because of how it happened.

"But she didn't. She just simply had you. All alone by herself. None of us know how it was possible but it was. You were born without a dad."
I swallowed listening to those words.

"Your mom wanted to raise you as normal as possible." Kingsley told me. "She had confided to Walter that she had powers but he didn't understand what they were or what she was. She had been through so much dealing with her own powers and dealing with werewolves from our father that she wanted no more parts of the supernatural world.
She wanted to live as a human. Our father wanted a normal life like she did too so that's why they got the medicine from our pack doctors. Even though the doctor didn't know what your mother was either, the medicine still worked on her. She didn't want our father changing into a wolf in front of you ever, and it's possible for me to do that when I am angry or feel threatened, it just happens. We just shift. So she wanted our father to take it too since even when they divorced when she got pregnant our father still stayed with your mother even though he still believed deep down that she cheated."

"So..." Kale then picked up the story. "They took the medicine, and yeah they got hooked to it like it was a drug. They took so much, and loved the feeling that it completely took over their bodies. We don't abuse it when we take it, it helps me not crave blood as much, and it helps Kingsley to be more calm, and not just shift at any moment. It's also surprised our mate bond with you. That's why you didn't feel those heavy feelings in the beginning. I can say though it's not healthy for anyone to constantly take. We are not suppose to suppress what we really are."

I looked at them both questionably. "So all those days when my mom and Walter  were out for all hours of the night they were really in Canada getting   more medicine?"

Both of the twins nodded and l sighed. This was way too much information for one day. Kingsley's slightly flowed in the wind as he stared at me.
"That's where we would go every time we said we had business to take care of."

I nodded and swallowed as Kale went on to say.
"One of the side effects from taking too much is hallucinations.  So when they would be a little aggressive with you, or freak out on you it wasn't really them and it wasn't their real feelings. If that make sense." Kale said lowly. His words trailed off suddenly and then he looked back at me.

"I still remember the day you were born." I watched as Kale's eyes lit up as he recalled the memory. Kingsley nodded to himself at Kale's words.
"The moment we saw your face we knew we had to look out for you, love you, protect you, anything we needed to do for you we would do. Vampires also speak Latin. Which is the language of the dead. I can speak it fluently and it came to me naturally over the years of me being a vampire. You are my Anima Mate." I heard the accent again in Kale's voice as he called me that name again.

"What does that mean? And why do you keep calling me that?" I questioned him. They both laughed simultaneously and looked at me.

"It means I can't breath without you, sleep without you or simply...be without you. Honestly I don't know how we have for this long." Kale and Kingsley both gaze at me. Eyes full of intensity.

When I didn't say anything Kingsley Leaned dowsed putting my hand in his. "It means you are our soul Mate." His voice come out in a raspy whisper.

I gasped. They both continued to stare at me watching my reaction. Kale began running his fingers on my thigh as he inched closer to me while we sat on the ground. "Every Vampire and every werewolf has a soulmate. Someone who's created for you to be with for eternity. That person for us is you."

I looked at them in confusion. "But how do you know that I'm your soul mate? And how could you both have the same soul mate?"

"Well we are twins." Kingsley shrugged. "So it makes sense that we have the same mate. I can't say that I am unhappy that you have two because that just means you have two people to protect you." His voice went low as he stared at me.

"However my brother can become greedy at times." Kale added sarcastically glancing at Kingsley. "I can't blame him though, Of course I want you all to myself just as he does."

Then Kingsley gently placed a few of
