Going to Kyles

The rest of my school day was okay. In my Spanish class I didn't really have any friends, and this group of girls kept whispering things about me, but I tried to push it aside. If it got worse I'd worry about it.

In English I had Rachel and Ryan in my class. I enjoyed the class because we didn't really do much in the class today. I mostly passed notes to my friends.

In lunch I had Rachel, Ryan, Claire, and Evan in my class. Unfortunately, those annoying girls in my Spanish class were in that lunch as well. I ignored them, though. All I could really think about was Kyle.

In Art I had the same group of friends as lunch which was good. I felt lucky to have my friends in so many of my classes, so far. We just spent the whole art class drawing portraits. My teacher said I was very talented, which meant a lot since I've been drawing for many years.

I decided now was a good time to tell my friends about Kyle since the bell was about to ring. "Hey, guys, I won't be able to walk home with you today," I say and the look up confused.

"Why? Where are you going?" Evan asks.

"I made a new friend today and I'm going to his house," I say.

"Oooh! His? Who is this man you speak of?" Claire asks happily.

I blush and say, "his name is Kyle. He's the theatre captain. Do you guys know him?"

"Oh course we know him! Just be careful with him, Ellie. He's kind of known as a player, but I'm sure he is very sweet," Rachel tells me.

"Oh, okay. Thanks for letting me know," I say and the bell rings. "Bye you guys. I'll text you guys later." They all day their goodbyes and I walk to my locker.

When I arrive, Kyle is already there looking down on his phone. "Hi, Kyle," I say and he looks up, his face forming a smile.

"Hi, how was your first day?" He asks as I grab my backpack from my locker.

"It was good. Algebra is definitely my favorite class though," I say, smiling back at him.

"Oh, so I have a math nerd on my hands," he jokes.

"Nope definitely not," I say popping the 'p.' "I just like having a class with you."

Kyle's smile grows bigger and he holds his hand out for me to grab. The hallways were almost empty as we begin to walk to his car.

When we arrived at Kyle's black Jeep he opens the door for me. "Thanks, Kyle," I say and he closes the door.

"Of course, El," he says and gets situated in his seat. Soon after he begins to drive to his house.

We arrive at his house in about ten minutes. His house was very nice. It was made of light grey wood boards and had a big, white door as the entrance. "I like your house," I say while getting out of the car and grabbing my backpack.

"Thanks!" He replies and we walk inside. "You can go down to the basement. The door is right here," he says and points to a door. "I'll grab some food and drinks and then head down."

"Okay. Let me know if you need help," I say and walk down the stairs.

Kyle comes down a few minutes later carrying a large bag of pretzels and two bottles of water. He places them on the table in front of me. "So, El, where'd you come from?" He asks me and sits down next to me.

Normally I wouldn't tell people about my past, I haven't even told Harry yet, though I probably should since I felt comfortable around him, but something was different about Kyle; so I told him everything. I told him everything from my mom Mom dying in a car crash, my dad committing suicide after, my life at the orphanage, and that Harry Styles adopted me.

"El, I don't know what to say. I'm so sorry that happened to you. I'm always here if you ever need to talk about it, I promise," Kyle says genuinely.

"Thank you, Kyle. That means a lot, really," I say with a smile. "It doesn't really affect me much anymore, though."

He nods his head, understandingly and our conversation moves on to algebra, the dumbest subject of them all.

"Okay! Let's get jamming!" He says after our algebra conversation. I laugh at his silliness.

He grabs two guitars that were hanging on the back wall and hands me one. "Show me what you got, El," he says with a smile.

"Okay, I've never sang in front of other people before, so don't judge too hard," I say with a small giggle at the end.

"Hey, don't be nervous, this basement is a judge free zone," he says with a smile. I nod my head and begin singing 'Riptide' by Vance Joy.

After I finish Kyle claps. "That was amazing!" He says and hugs me. Let me tell you, he gave really nice hugs.

I laugh and hug him back, "really?" I ask, unsure how good it actually was.

"Yes, I promise! That was beautiful. Both your voice and the guitar," he tells me and moves a little closer to me. He wraps his arm around my side which causes me to blush. "You know, you're really cute when you blush," he says.

I look up at him and smile at him. "Thanks," I say softly. He replies with a smile and I smile, too, as his eyes move to my lips.

Within seconds, Kyle's warm lips smash into mine. I kiss him back gently as he lifts me up and puts me on his lap. We stop briefly to catch our breath and then continue, not wasting any time.

"El?" He asks in between kisses.

"Hm?" I reply before kissing him again.

"Do you want to go out with me?" He asks.

I end the kiss and look him in the eyes, still sitting on his lap. A small smirk forms on my face and I reply with, "Of course, Kyle."

Our peaceful time together was interrupted by a ding on my phone. "Sorry, I should probably get this," I says and grab my phone from my pocket.

"Sure thing," he says and I look at my phone to a sight I did not want to see.
