Lin's POV

"Ok. So, Abigail slept in this morning. She doesn't know she doesn't have to go to school." I said into my phone camera, softy opening the door to her room. "It's currently," I checked my watch, "9:17, her school starts at 9:00, y'all ready for me to freak her out?" I asked, "but first, look at her sleep, she twitches and I love it. And that stuffed dog, Thayne, our local madman, got her that. Isn't she cute? Ok, here we go." I took a deep breath and yelled, "WHAT TIME IS IT?!"

"AHHH!" Abigail screamed and rolled off her bed. "Why would you do that?" She asked, picking herself off of the ground.

"Well, do you know what time it is?" I asked.

"Showtime?" She guessed randomly.

"You are most definitely my daughter, and no, it's 9:17."

"Wait seriously?" She asked, panic filling her eyes.

"Yep." I nodded.

"Holy crap I have to go!" She sprinted out of her room, past me, pulling on ugg boots and swinging her back pack on. I was doubled over laughing, and had stopped filming. "Why are you laughing?" I heard her yell from the door, "please I hate being late."

"Niñita, you're not going to school today!" I yelled back, walking into the living room.

"What? Why not?"

"Teacher work day, and you're like, in remission, also, fortunately, today is the first EduHam, you can help out." I said, grabbing my mug from the coffee table.

"Oh. My. Gosh. Why. Would. You. Do. That." She was standing by the door fuming, her hair a disheveled mess, in sweats and a t-shirt with ugg boots.

"Sorry. It was the perfect opportunity because I forgot to tell you last night."  I said, laughing.

"When are we leaving for EduHam?" She asked, dropping her bag at the door, and sitting down to take her boots off.

"Is 15-30 minutes cool?" I asked, taking a sip of coffee.

"Yeah." She smiled, "by the way, did you just video tape that?" She asked.

"Yep." I grinned, and she groaned a little, but made her way back to her room to change into socially acceptable clothes.

Abigail's POV

After changing into jeans and my 'Kings College: Department of Drama' shirt (which I wore so I wouldn't get mixed up with the other high schoolers), I came back out, and Lin was swinging his backpack on.

"Awesome, you good to go?" He asked.

"Yep!" I smiled, and we walked out of the apartment to the car. "What exactly am I supposed to be helping with?" I asked, once we were on the road.

"We'll introduce you with the cast, then I was wondering if you could man the mic for the Q&A?" He informed.

"Yeah, I can do that, just choose who's answering questions and run around with the mic?" I clarified.

"Yeah, and for the show, just man merch like usual."

"Awesome!" I said, cheerily as we pulled into the parking lot near the Rodgers.

"Are you ready for this?" Lin asked, getting out of the car, referring to the mob of people who swarmed the stage door before the show.

"I really never am." I admitted.

"Neither am I." He rolled his eyes. "Ok, come on, hold my hand." He put his hand out behind him for me to take.

"Um, I think I'll be ok." I said, smiling.

"I don't want the fans to eat you alive, come on." He said.

"Okay." I said, taking his hand.

"Now. TO THE BARRICADES!" He yelled and walked towards the stage door dragging me behind him. Per usual, people had surrounded the stage door, to see the cast going in, and per usual, they all started screaming. There was a mass of screams, and then I heard my name, I turned towards who said it.

"Hi Abigail!" A girl, smiled, and waved.

"Hi!" I replied.

"Are you feeling better?" She asked, as Lin pulled me into the theater. It took me a second to process that people knew I was in the hospital.

"Oh, yeah! Thank you!" I called back to her, and Lin shut the door behind me.

"The fandom is real." He said, wrapping his arm around my shoulders.

"That it is, that it is." I said, and walked with him to his dressing room.

"ABI!" I turned around to see Carleigh running towards me.

"Hi Carleigh." I smiled a little as she hugged me.

"You're ok right?" She asked, looking at me.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Thank you for the card and the flowers."

"Of course, I'm glad you liked it." She said, "I have to go, I'll see you later though." She headed off to the ensemble girls dressing room.

"See they love you." Lin hugged me into his side.

"I know, I'm sorry." I apologized again.

"Sweetheart, I told you not to apologize." He told me.

"I'm sorry."

"You're apologizing!" He reminded.

"I'm sor..." I cut myself off, when I realized I was apologizing again.

"Niñita," he started, then laughed, "you're adorable." He hugged me into his side again, and I smiled. "we have a half hour to kill before we have to be onstage. Assassins Creed?" He asked, handing me the controller to the game.

Yes. Lin-Manuel Miranda has an X-Box in his dressing room. Yes, he has Assassins Creed. Yes, he has a bed/couch in front of his TV so he can lay down and play. Yes, Lin-Manuel Miranda is a nerd. Yes, I got very excited about all of this. Yes, I am a nerd.

We both sat on his couch/bed thing and played Assassins Creed until Leslie came in.

"Hey, Lin, Tommy wants you..." He trailed off, "you've corrupted her." He whispered, seeing the two of us.

"Yep." Lin smiled, pausing the game, "come on Niñita, let's go." He stood up and helped me up from the couch.

"Hey, how are you?" Leslie asked me as we walked down to the stage.

"I'm better." I said smiling.

"That's good, we all freaked out, you're really important to us." Leslie and I were walking behind Lin.

"Really?" I asked, legitimate disbelief in my voice, it would take them like 2 days to get over me dying. The biggest impact would be losing a salesperson.

"Yes really." He laughed a little, and I smiled in response.

We got up onto the stage where Tommy was rapidly setting up chairs for the lead cast.

"Abi!! Thank God you're here. And you're alright!" Even Tommy hugged me, "you're doing mic's right?" He asked, and I nodded. "Awesome, so, I'm going to give you a mic and the idea is you choose who's going to ask questions, please ask them to tell you the question before you hand them the mic." I nodded along with all of this. "Also, try and get an even amount throughout the theater."

"Ok." I smiled.

"You got it?" He asked.

"Yep." I nodded a little.

The students were finally all seated in the theater by 11:30, and Lin had finished introducing the event.

"Ok! We're just gonna go down the line and say our names and who we play. Daveed you wanna kick it off?" Lin asked.

"Um, ok, so, I'm Daveed, I play Lafayette in act 1 and Jefferson in act 2." He smiled and turned to Chris.

"Alright, I'm Chris, I play George Washington." He smiled and turned to Leslie.

"Hey, my name's Leslie Odom Jr, and I play Aaron Burr." He motioned to Oak.

"I'm not even gonna tell you my name, but everyone calls me Oak, and I'm Mulligan in act 1 and Madison in act 2." His got some laughs and he turned to Pippa. "Go on Pip Soo."

"Hi!" She smiled, "I'm Phillipa, I'm Eliza." She waved a little and Lin smiled at her the entire time, almost to the point that he missed when he was supposed to talk.

"Oh! Sup, I'm Lin. I'm Alexander Hamilton." He grinned at the kids and Renée laughed, as she was next.

"Hey! I'm Renée, I play Angelica Schuyler! Work!" She snapped her fingers and the kids cheered.

"Hi!" Rory smiled his giant smile at the crowd, "I'm Rory O'Malley, I play that one white dude you'll see for like 9 minutes." Rory was quite possibly the funniest man I had ever met.

"Hey yo, I'm Anthony, I'm Laurens and Phillip." Anthony smirked at the crowd then turned to Jasmine. "You wanna go Jazz?"

"I'm Jasmine, I'm Peggy for a couple minutes, then I put red lipstick on and the world turns upside down." Jazz grinned then looked at me expectantly.

"Oh. Um, I'm Abigail Miranda, I'm not sure why I'm introducing myself, I'm I'm charge of managing the Q&A." I smiled a little.

"¡ELLA ES MI HIJA!" Lin yelled, and I blushed.

•••

The Q&A went well, literally every girl in the room had a blatant crush on Anthony, which was pretty hysterical. Especially because he was sitting next to Jasmine, and someone asked if he had a girlfriend. Yeah, I let them ask that because I wanted to see what would happen. I'm evil. Essentially, Jasmine just said "no, he doesn't." And kissed him. It was gold.

"Alright, it's 12:30. You all have an hour for lunch, be back here by 1:30, the show will start at 2:00." Tommy announced as j was taking the mic back from the last kid. I made a run for the stage when Tommy said that they could go, because I don't fancy being trampled. I finally made it to the safety of backstage.

"We got pizza, come on!" Lin said grabbing my hand and pulling me being him to the hair and wig department.

"Oh, ok." I sighed and sat down, everyone was pumped, I mean, this cast has too much energy. I saw a plate with Hawaiian pizza slide in front of me.

"Here ya go Niñita." Lin said, sitting next to me.

"Thanks." I smiled a little, but did not eat. I felt like people, you know, judged me when I ate, like, looking at me eating a slice of pizza and thinking, oh, that's why she's so heavy. I sat and listened to everybody's conversations, zoning out, until I felt the tip of my pizza touch my closed mouth.

"Om nom nom nom." Lin was making weird eating sounds and pushing to food up against my mouth. "Eat." He said, setting it back down.

"I'm not hungry." I shrugged.

"Really? Do you think I'm gonna buy that sweetie? When did you eat last?" Lin asked, and I fiddled with my fingers in my lap, not answering. "Niñita?" I heard him again, but didn't look up. "Sweetie?" He tried again. "Abigail, please tell me." He pleaded.

"Sunday." I whispered.

"What?" Lin asked, he genuinely didn't hear me.

"Lunch on Sunday." I responded, a bit louder this time.

"That's not possible. They didn't feed you at the hospital?" He asked.

"They did, they just didn't check to see if I ate it." I admitted.

"Ok, you've given me no choice. Plane or Train?" He asked, kneeling in front of me with my plate of pizza.

"Oh gosh." I said.

"Plane it is, I'm getting tired because Seb always wants train." He tore off a little piece of my pizza, and grabbed a plastic fork, sticking it on top.

"You're not seriously going to do this, are you?" I asked.

"Yep. Now, open the hanger, we have a plane cleared for landing." I rolled my eyes a bit. "AHHH! The tower isn't responding! Open the hanger or the pineapple people will die!" I laughed a little and opened my mouth. He fed me a piece of pizza via 'airplane fork' I can't believe that really worked.

"Um, Kid." Anthony asked, "did Lin just feed you?" He was holding his phone, videoing.

"Um," I laughed a little, "yeah. Yeah he did."

"Oh gosh."

That was long-ish.
