I didn't have school on Wednesday. Yay, also, yesterday Lin had laryngitis, and couldn't perform. People took this way too seriously. Especially the mayor. You heard me right, Bill de Blasio, mayor of New York City, took Lin-Manuel Miranda's laryngitis too seriously. I mean, he tweeted about it

Yep. City, Nation on edge.

I'm not on edge, actually, I found it kinda funny. To wake me up he blasted Blackout from In The Heights into my room, while holding a sign that read,

Get up! It's 7:00, and I can't talk.
Help. :(

Anyways, aside from yesterday morning, I woke up this morning without the aid of the best musical of 2008, or its vocally incapacitated composer and star.

I trudged into the living room, where Lin sat on his phone. I turned around to go into the kitchen, when I heard him yell.

"WHAT?!" His voice cracked about halfway through the word, and I hurried back to the couch.

"Don't yell! You have 2 shows today!" I was freakish out a bit, but for a good cause, I mean the nation was on edge yesterday.

"No, look." He whispered, properly using his dying voice. I sat down next to him and looked at his phone. Apparently Bill de Blasio was going to be coming to see Hamilton today. "He wants to be in a Ham4Ham!" Lin started doing a mini couch dance, and I rolled my eyes.

"Good for you Lin. Good for you." I said, patting his shoulder.

"No, good for you!" He said, stopping his mini-couch dance. "You don't have school today! You can work the matinée!" He was grinning ear to ear.

"Does that mean I have to wear actual clothes?" I asked, referring to my puppy dog slippers, and pj shorts.

"Yes. It's 9:30, we should be there by noon, you have time."

"Alright." I sighed, not wanting to change into pants and respectable clothes.

"In the meantime, we can watch Colbert." He said, fumbling for the remote.

"It's 9:30 a.m., I don't think it's on." I said.

"I didn't watch it last night, I was asleep, I have it recorded." He said, flipping to the DVR.

"Ah, excellent," I said, leaning back into the couch. "Who's on?" I asked, curious.

"Melissa McCarthy." He responded, playing the segment.

"Yeah, I have no idea who that is."

"Seriously?" He asked, looking at me oddly.

"Yeah, no. Am I supposed to?" I asked, he simply rolled his eyes in response.

We watched the interview, apparently she was in a movie called Spy. My bad. Afterwards Lin kicked me out because, and I quote, 'I'm going to play Grand Theft Auto, it's not for kids but I'm a grown up so I'm allowed.'

Technically I don't know if I was 'kicked out' more or less, he said 'I'm a grown up' and I left. Anyways, I did, at some point in the morning, change into jeans and a Hamilton sweatshirt (by 'at some point' I mean, about 2 minutes before we left).

We got the the theater at 12:00 on the nose (by on the nose I mean, 12:16), and Bill de Blasio was sitting at our coloring table in the hair and wig department. That was weird to be honest.

Now if you aren't aware, Bill de Blasio is an extremely tall man. I mean, wow. He had at least 6 inches on Lin. I mean, at the very least. It was pretty funny. Although, if he had 6 inches on Lin, he had 7 on me, which was, well, less funny. Although, I, unlike Lin, am a 15 year old girl, therefore, a fully grown man being taller than me is not strange at all, so never mind.

"Also, this is my daughter." I was pulled out of my mini-trance by Lins hand on my back. Ok, apparently I missed something and we were having a conversation? Ok Abigail, play it cool, you were paying attention, it's just like Biology, smile, pretend you know everything, and don't make eye contact. Wait! Conversation requires eye contact, yeah, make eye contact.

"Hi." I smiled a bit.

"Hello." He smiled back and shook my hand, "lovely to meet you."

"She works here." Lin shrugged.

"You're forcing your teenage daughter to work for you?" He laughed a bit, "where's your son, does he work backstage too?"

"My son is one and a half." Lin was slightly confused.

"I know, I know." The mayor patted Lins back, and Lin looked at me with a mix of confusion and concern. Lin checked his watch.

"It's 12:20, time to go." Lin said, partially because the conversation got slightly awkward, and also because Ham4Ham did start in 5 minutes. I wove my way out from backstage, through the stage door, and over to the front doors. I managed to shove my way through the massive crowd in front of the Richard Rodgers to behind the barricades by Clara, the lady who ran the Ham4Ham tech, so I could watch.

The highlights from the Ham4Ham for me were Bill standing 2 steps above Lin and still being like 3 inches taller, and Bill giving Lin tea. After this happened Lin made excited eye contact with me. Then the mayor told him that he could have all the tea he wanted and he reprised his happy dance from this morning.

Once the mayor left I was left to fend for myself, (meaning I hid behind my merch stand tweeting for like 2 hours before the house manager found me and told me he was opening the doors.)

I worked for an hour, until the show started and then I ran backstage and upstairs while everyone was doing the opening number. I hid in my old bedroom, from before I lived with Lin and Vanessa for the duration of the show.

I was sitting on the mattress with my old blanket that no one bothered to take out, when I started thinking about the last time I was in here.

It was the night before my adoption day, and William was here. He also spent the night. We didn't really plan that, I just sort of fell asleep on his shoulder, and he didn't leave. I miss him.

I was really nervous that night. I thought that they were going to change their minds at the last second, or change their minds months later and just regret the decision they made.

I hope they don't regret the decision they made.

I made my way downstairs when I heard whooping and yelling, signifying the end of the show. I managed to snake through a dancing Sasha and Ephraim and a ballet style leaping Thayne to find some sanity with Pip and Renée. Yes I did say I found sanity with Renée Elise Goldsberry. She's on the less crazy side here, and that's saying something.

"So, when are you and the boyfriend going out again?" Pippa asked, nudging my in the ribs with her elbow.

"Oh." I stopped short. "Um, yeah, we sorta broke up." I said awkwardly.

"What? Why?" Renée asked, "I really liked him."

"I did too." I sighed.

"So, he broke up with you?" Pippa asked.

"No I dumped him." I clarified.

"Wait, you dumped your boyfriend?" Now Anthony had joined the conversation.

"Yeah." I responded to him.

"Why?" He asked.

"He sort of cheated on me." I confessed.

"HE WHAT?!" Renée yelled.

"He cheated." I repeated.

"IMA KILL HIM." Anthony actually looked pissed off right now.

"Wait, who is Anthony killing?" Oak asked, walking past us.

"The kids boyfriend." Anthony replied.

"Why?" Oak asked.

"HE CHEATED!" Anthony yelled.

"Ok, calm down dude, calm down." Pippa tried to stop him from yelling more, and literally telling everyone.

"Sorry, I'm just, kinda pissed at him, he was a really cool guy, also, I mean, he had a great girlfriend." Anthony motioned to me.

"Anthony, are you talking about yourself in the 3rd person again?" Jasmine came up to her boyfriend, seamlessly integrating into the conversation whilst complimenting herself, Jasmine Cephas Jones, ladies and gentlemen.

"No." He responded, "but, you are great." He smiled at her.

"Abi," Oak started, "I'm so sorry about William, you didn't deserve that." With that he hugged me. Guys, Oak is a professional giver of hugs.

"Yeah, screw him." Pippa said, joining our little hug. After Pippa, Anthony, Jazzy and Renée all murmured their agreement and joined the hug.

"GROUP HUG!" Thayne yelled, running over to us. "Not to disrupt the sentiment, but, we're hugging because..." He trailed off, hoping someone would finish the sentence.

"Abigail's boyfriend is a two timing piece of crap." Jasmine responded.

"Wait? Abi's in here?" Thayne asked, and the group hug slowly dispersed, revealing me, hiding in the middle.

"Yep." I said, softly.

"I'm sorry." He hugged me individually this time. "You were out of his league anyways." He reassured.

"Hate to break up the bonding session between all y'all, but something freakishly awesome just happened." Apparently, Lin too has a knack for shoving himself into conversations, I really don't.

"Well, come on!" Thayne said to me as he ran off following Lin.

"TADA!" Lin yelled once he was on the stage and gestured to a giant mounted gold Hamilton record the way Will Smith gestures to his son.

"WE WENT GOLD?!" Daveed yelled from behind me.

"YEAH!" Lin responded.

"So that's why it's golden." I realized, to a multitude of 'oh my gosh' stares from the cast. "Ok, then, I'm just gonna go, like sleep for a couple, you know, hours, I'll see you all after the evening show." I tried to slink away.

"WAIT!" Lin yelled. "We're going out to dinner!" He announced to the entire cast.

"Alright." I smiled.

Q&A Time!
Hunter:

Q: How do you feel about Abigail? Do you really like her, or was this kind of a one time vacation kind of a thing?
H: I like Abigail, she's really sweet, and she's also pretty dang cute, so I don't want this to be a one time thing? I want to follow through on this one.

Q: Why won't you try and get with Abigail? I know she's upset, but boy you should do something super romantic and try and win her over?
H: Who's to say I won't? Um yeah, and by the way, I am planning on getting with Abigail... Most definitely.

Q: Why did you immediately go after Abigail after hearing she broke up with William?
H: Well, she was sad, and in general, girls kind of need a guy there to help them out a bit. Also, I mean, she will not be single for long.

Q: Why are you so stupid?
H: Oh. Thanks, I guess, well then. Are you just a bucket of sunshine?

Ok! There's Hunter! (Luke, Nick and Abigail's friends are still open -- also, if you want you can ask questions to Mr. and Mrs. Walter, and I'm putting in a misc. category, where you can ask any character in the story a question!)

Just in case.

Mr. And Mrs. Walter
