Abigail's Point Of View:

I pulled out my phone while waiting on Lin to be done. I had 5 missed calls. 1 from Lin, 1 from Renée, 1 from Pippa, 1 from Thayne, 1 from Lexi, and 1 from Groff. Also, I had a message from Lin, I opened it and held my phone to my ear.

"Hey, so, we just left the theater, and you're not on the bench, where'd you go? We're still right here, anyways, um, you're the deciding vote, do you want to go out for Mexican or Chinese? Call me back when you get this, and regardless of your response we're getting Mexican because I really want a taco right now. Love you." I pulled my phone down from my ear, awe. That was so sweet. Also, I'm pretty sure my vote would have been Mexican.

Aside from the missed calls, I had several missed text messages from everyone, they really did care about me. After a while of tinkering around on my phone, Lin stepped out of the room.

"They want you in there now." He said leaning out of the doorway.

"Ok." I got up and walked in, taking a seat to the right of Lin.

"Ok, so we're going to be honest with you two. Based on your accounts, we have deemed that you," she motioned to me, "are the victim of 3rd degree physical assault and sexual misdemeanor in class A. The outcome for this case, if you choose to press charges, would lie between a 200 dollar fine, and a warning, and a 2,000 dollar fine, with a year in juvie." My heart sped up at the notion of having him gone, he could be gone from my life, but juvie. He couldn't do anything with this on his record.

"We're planning on pressing charges." Lin said, to clarify, if they had any doubt.

"Ok. Well, you'd need your own attorney, but aside from that, since you're pressing charges, we'll go into preparations to have him sent to a juvenile facility until trial, where, unfortunately you will both have to testify." I slowly nodded my understanding.

"Are we free to leave?" Lin asked, and they both nodded, "thank you so much for your help." He added to the detectives, and led me out of the room, with his hand on my back. "Its 2:30." He said, "I can call everyone, we still have time to go get lunch, if you're up for it." He suggested, and I nodded. "Alright."

"Oh, and yes, my vote is Mexican." I added, as he pulled his phone out. He smiled at me, and then texted Groff. I saw Mrs. Walter looking very angry, and sitting in a little waiting area. I walked over to her, I guess, it's time to be brave. "Hi Mrs. Walter." I smiled a bit.

"Ugh. My husband told me you were here." She brushed my hello off.

"I just wanted to ask if you were doing ok." I had my hands clasped in front of me, and my feet stood closely together.

"Not really. You see, I just received some information that you are planning on pressing charges against MY son. For what? For next to nothing, you big cry baby, learn to deal with it."

"Ok, well, it was nic..." I was cut off by Lin's hand on my shoulder.

"Have a nice day ma'am." He said to her, leading my away, and towards the door.

"You're the guy who picked her up like 4 months ago, the one with pigtails." She yelled after us.

"That I am, that I am." He yelled back, opening the door, and leaving. "That women is crazy, I swear." He said, shaking his head. "So, you're up to go out? If you're not that's fine, I'll take you home, but, if you are, we're going to Cafe Frita."

"Yeah, I'll come. I'm not that hungry, but, I'll come." I smiled.

"Ok, but we're taking the subway. I know you don't like it little miss 'born in an Oregon suburb' but you're a New Yorker now, act like it."

"Hey, hey, I only dislike it when I'm alone."

"True, so I drive you to school even though I hate driving, and suck at it."

"You're not a bad driver." I laughed a little, "I know bad drivers, and you are not one of them."

"Yes, but driving sucks."

"That it does." I nodded, "I have my permit, so, I'll get my license when I'm 16, if you know, I drive between now and May 27th."

"You'll never get your license. Because that involves me driving with you." He fake shuddered.

"I'm not that bad!" I indigently yelled, as we were waiting for the subway.

"Maybe not, but we will never know. Never." I laughed a bit, I mean, I feel like I'm not going to be a great driver.

We finally got to the restaurant, and per my previous statement, I just got a diet coke and sat with everyone. They were talking like they had forgotten what had happened, I hadn't, I'll never forget what just happened to me. At about 4:00; Lin walked me home because we were only 5 minutes away from the apartment building.

"I'm going to go to the theater, Vanessa should be home in an hour, 2 hours. Turn the TV on, don't you dare go to your room and cry, I'm serious, watch a comedy, I'm going to FaceTime you every like 15 minutes and if you aren't watching a comedic TV show I'm going to be very disappointed in you." I laughed a little.

"Ok, I'll watch, like, The Office or something."

"I'm serious Niñita. Try and get your mind off things, I know it seems hard, but the way to get over this is to just, not let it consume you, don't forget what happened, just don't let it take over every waking moment, don't let what has happened to you, take who you are ways from you. I love you." He kissed my forehead, "I'll see you tonight." With that he left.

I have a callback on Friday... And a 7:30 am rehearsal tomorrow and Friday. yay me.
