William was taking me out to lunch today. It was Saturday, and I didn't have to work the matinée, so he took me out. It wasn't fancy, neither of us were loaded. He just took me out for a sandwich.

"I have to be back by 7:00, I have to work the evening show."

"Well, it's only, 2:00. You have plenty of time." My phone buzzed in my pocket, I pulled it out.

(We have a surprise for you, be here at 5:00!)

"That was Pippa, I need to be home by 5."

"Again, Roonie, it's 2 in the afternoon. We have 3 hours."

"Ah yes, what are we going to do for 3 hours may I ask?" I stood up to throw away my trash from my sandwich.

"We're going blackberry picking, come on!" He pulled me outside and into his car. William was 16, therefore he had a car and could drive. I had my permit, but no car, and I needed a lot of work actually driving before I could get my license. I threw my crutches in the backseat, and then got in the front. We pulled up at a small little wooded area. "Come on, my families known about this place for years." William hopped out of the car, and I did too. I hopped on my good leg, and tried to open the back door but it was locked.

"Can you unlock the back door? I need my crutches!"

"Hold on!" He ran around to my side of the car. He turned around so his back am was facing me, "jump on my back. I'll carry you!"

"Are you sure?"

"How else are you supposed to pick blackberries, you can't use your hands, I'll hold a bag, and carry you, and then you can pick the blackberries. Jump on!" I used my good leg and jumped on his back, wrapping my arms around his neck, and legs around his waist.

"Onward!" I shouted, and he ran forward with me on his back. "This is actually beneficial because the good ones are higher up." I noted reaching up towards the top of the bushes.

"You make a good point, oh I see some!" He ran off towards the right.

"AHHH!" I screamed, as he ran away with me.

William and I were sitting and eating blackberries, he was tossing them into my mouth.

"What time should I get there Monday?" He said tossing a blackberry.

"I don't know, I have to be there by 1:00, anytime before 2 really." I replied catching it in my mouth, and eating it.

"Ok. We should probably head back, if they really need you there by 5:00, it's 4:30 now." He stood up and dusted off his pants.

"Alright." I tried, and failed to get up. William ran over and picked me up, bridal style, and carried me back to the car.

"Do you have any idea why they need you home early?" He asked whilst driving home.

"Nope. Pippa just said that they had a surprise for me."

"That's disturbingly vague."

"Agreed." We spent the rest of the car ride in a comfortable silence.

He pulled up in front of the Rodgers, I got out, grabbed my crutches and he left, he had a family dinner that night. There were people pouring out of the front doors so I rounded the theater, to go through the stage door, which was crowded with fans. Why did Pippa text me 5? I tried to shove my way through the crowd, but it didn't really work.

"JOE!" I yelled to one of the security guards. "CAN I HAVE SOME HELP?!" He saw me and jumped down to help me through. He opened the barricade and let me inside. I wandered inside for a couple minutes, before I saw Renée.

"You're here! Go upstairs go upstairs!" She was ecstatic.

"Why? What happened?"

"Nothing! Just go upstairs and grab what's on your bed, then come back down!!" She seemed eager so I got upstairs as fast as I could, there were 3 big bags on my bed, I awkwardly picked them up and tried to crutch downstairs. I finally made it.

"What is this all about?" I asked gesturing to the bags, that now sat on the floor.

"They are dresses for Monday! We want to see them, help you pick what you're going to wear."

"Ok, where am I supposed to do this?" I asked

"Everyone's on the stage, come on, I'll help you change, thank goodness you chose a black cast." She said gesturing to my ankle.

"Yeah, to me it was this or white, and white gets really messy. And black goes with everything."

I changed into a dress, it was teal, simple, came down about mid-thigh, it was belted with a matching teal belt at the waist, I came out on stage where everyone sat to a mixed jumble of responses.

"Yay or nay?" Again with the half and half kind of attitude. "Ok, I'll try something else." I went back to change

"Ok, how about this?" Renée held up a second dress this one was light blue, I changed and went out again.

"It's too long." Someone yelled that, not quite sure who.

"It is kind of long." I heard someone else say, I looked down, my dress came down right below my knee. I get what they were saying. I tried on like 6 more dresses until I put on a white one, it came down mid-thigh, it was belted around the waist, and sleeveless.

"THAT ONE!" Daveed yelled pre-maturely

"I agree," this was Carleigh, "and have your hair straightened."

"So this one?" I asked, to a jumble of yes's. "Awesome! Thank you thank you!" With that everyone left, they had about an hour and a half before they needed to get dressed for the evening show.
