"I'm scared Daddy." I whimpered, "I'm scared."

"Shh," he said, rubbing my back, "it'll all be alright, you're safe now peanut, I've got you, daddy's got you, you're safe."

"What happened?" I asked, my arms still around him.

"Sweetheart, you had a flashback, it's part of your PTSD." He said, stroking my hair a bit.

"I don't like it." Boy was I immature.

"I know." He chuckled and pulled away from me, "how about we get home?" He asked, "we can watch a movie?" He suggested and I nodded. "Alright." He smiled, then walked around the car to get back into the drivers seat. "How about we turn off I'll Cover You (reprise)." He suggested, and I realized that I had left Rent on shuffle which was a very bad idea.

"Sorry." I said, rushing to turn it off.

"It's fine, I just can't drive because of the tears in my eyes." He said, fake sobbing although if I had left that song playing we'd both be literal wrecks by now.

We drove the rest of the way home in silence. Once we were parked Lin scooped me up and carried me up to our apartment.

"I read your tweet about why you carry me... But... There has to be another reason." I said as he was walking into the elevator.

"Oh, I don't know really. It's just, sometimes it's easier, sometimes it is because I never got to hold infant Abi, and teach her to walk and hear her first words and, and, well, I guess, I'm trying to make up for that." He shrugged and I felt myself move up with his shoulders.

"Well. Um. I can walk, but I mean, if you want to try and teach me..." I trailed off, laughing.

"What were your first words?" He asked, the elevator doors opening on our floor.

"Oh, well my first word was, um, daddy." I admitted, "and my first, my first full sentence was 'I love you daddy."

"Oh." He said simply, walking to our door. "How about..." He thought for a second clicking his tongue, "what time were you born?"

"1:45 in the afternoon." I said.

"Alrighty, uh, what about... Pets? Did you have any pets growing up?" He asked going inside the apartment.

"No. Not even a goldfish, Tobis my first actual pet."

"That's criminal." He laughed setting me down on the couch. "Every kid needs to go through the pain of feeder goldfish." He said, sitting next to me.

"Oh gosh I'm glad I didn't." I laughed a little, "I don't want to have a pet just to see it die."

"Okay okay, so you don't want one." He clarified, scrolling through Netflix.

"Oh gosh no." I laughed a bit.

"Note to self: buy Abi ten goldfishes."

"Ten goldfishes?" I repeated laughing a little, "goldfishes? Fishes?"

"Yes, you can name them all, and nurture them and then see them all die."

"That's awful my gosh why?" I asked laughing.

"You need to experience raising feeder goldfish like all other children."

"What are we watching?" I asked, changing the topic.

"I do not know." He said, continuing to scroll through Netflix. "Uh, do you want to watch, like, baby Groff on Glee?" He asked.

"Um yes." I laughed.

"What episodes are he in?" Lin asked.

"The ones with Idina Menzel." I said.

"Oh yes peanut. That's helpful." He laughed a bit, "I meant like numbers and episode names."

"Uh, I think, um, episode 14, Hell-O." I said, pointing at it, "because they all sang things with hello in the title except for Rachel who kinda just sang a song to piss off her ex-boyfriend."

"Alright let's do this." He said, starting the episode.

We were about halfway through the episode when Groff came on and started flirt-singing with Rachel.

"Wait wait wait." Lin said, "is Groffsauce flirting with Lea Michele?" He asked, laughing.

"Yep."

"Wait but, so, Groff, one second." He said, pulling his phone out, and I looked over his shoulder

Lin:
Did you date Lea Michele on Glee?

Groffsauce:
Yeah, why?

Lin:
A and I are watching it... Your hair was very foofy

Groffsauce:

I was backstage at the show, on my phone when I saw an article from some crap entertainment website.

What's wrong with Lin-Manuel Miranda's daughter?

"I'm done." I said out loud.

"What's going on?" Andrew, who was sitting next to me on the couch asked.

"I'm just, I'm just done." I said again, slamming my phone down next to me.

"Abi?" He started, putting his hand on my shoulder. "Honey did something happen?" He asked.

"I don't know, sort of, I'm, I'm just, I can't do it anymore."

"Okay cutie, come here." He said, and enveloped me in a hug.

"I'm just, I'm gonna take a nap." I said, and curled up back onto the couch, burying my head in the pillows.

"Okay, you okay?" He asked, kissing the back of my head, on my hair.

"I'm fine." I said, then slowly drifted off.

Lins POV

"Lin?" Andrew came up to me during intermission, "somethings up with Abi."

"Wait what?" I asked, "what's going on? Is she okay?"

"Yeah, yeah, she just, like, she was sitting on her phone and she randomly slammed it down, and said she was done, and she couldn't do it anymore, and then she fell asleep."

"Was it something on her phone?" I asked.

"I think so, she's over here." He said, and sure enough she was curled up sleeping on the couch, her phone on the ground next to her. I sat down at her feet holding her phone in my hand. I turned it on using the home button and the phone unlocked. "Wait, Lin, does she not have a password on her phone?" Andrew asked.

"No she does, I have a thumbprint saved on it." I said, reading through what was on the screen.

What's wrong with Lin-Manuel Miranda's daughter?

"Oh. This is it. Why, why would someone write this? Give me like five minutes to read this." I said, leaning back into the couch with her phone.

Lin-Manuel Miranda, creator and star of Broadway's Hamilton, recently adopted a teenage girl, however there has been some recent speculation on her mental health.

In April, the daughter, Abigail Miranda, was hospitalized due to an attempted suicide. Lin-Manuel Miranda, has not spoken to the topic unfortunately.

Yes. Of course, how unfortunate, let me get right on that, I'll just, you know, explain to the general public that my 15 year old daughter tried to kill herself where I made breakfast that morning.

Abigail appeared to be fine since the attempt on her life in April, but twice in the past week she and Miranda have been seen going into a therapists office (the name of which we are not revealing for privacy reasons)

Privacy reasons? Privacy reasons? You write an article about my daughters mental health and you're worried about invading our privacy?

The story seemed to stop there, until earlier today, when the father and daughter were seen pulled over at the side of the road, the teenage girl shaking and in tears.

A fan says that Miranda was obviously upset and concerned about his daughter which prompted the actor to yell at the fan who simply asked for an autograph.

I stopped reading there. It was offensive and was amateur, and upsetting to read.

"Abi?" I said, looking at her on the couch, "honey wake up." I shook her leg a little.

"Huh?" She pushed herself up a little on her cute little bird arms. "What are you doing?" She asked, looking at the phone in my hand.

"I was reading the article on your phone." I said, setting it down.

"Oh yeah, the one on what's wrong with me?" She asked rolling her eyes.

"Yeah." I sighed, "don't read it." I said.

"Oh you don't have to worry about that Dad, I'm done with social media." I almost missed the second half of that sentence because I was focused on the dad thing.

"Okay, if you want to be done you can be done." I said, looking at her.

"Yeah. I'm done with it, can I see my phone really quickly?" She asked, and I handed it back to her. I saw her type something, then turn it off and set it down, as she did, my phone buzzed in my pocket.

AbigailLeighMiranda tweeted:
AbigailLeighMiranda - I'm done with social media for at least a couple weeks. I can't deal with this anymore. Sorry.
