The car ride to Molly and Nico's lake house was not nearly as bad as Adelaide had expected it to be.

Levi had not spoken one word the entire time and had successfully managed to keep his hands to himself, at least for the most part. The only exception being when they eventually went off the main road and it got exceptionally bumpy, so Levi had to help hold her steady. She did not mind, though. It had not felt awkward, at least to Adelaide.

As she stepped out of the car an hour later, Adelaide could feel like gentle breeze of the lake flow through her hair. The tickle it brought over her skin had her stopping in her tracks in order to close her eyes in content.

This was just relaxing environment she was in desperate need of.

A rough hand coming in contact with her lower back startled her out of this addicting trance.

It was Levi.

She had been standing in the way of the car door, preventing him from being able to step out. The rest of the group had already rounded the back of the car and had begun collecting their belongings from the trunk.

"I-Sorry." Adelaide stepped out of Levi's way.

He hardly gave her a glance before making his way past her and towards the rest of them. Adelaide made sure to follow behind, feeling bad that she allowed everyone else to do all the work when she was a guest who should also being pulling her own weight.

"So, unfortunately there are only two rooms. Good news, though! My parents got a second set of bunk beds for the guest room, so four people can squeeze in there fairly comfortably." Molly addressed the group, standing at the bottom of the steps leading up to the quaint house. "I was thinking that two of the boys can take our parents room. Maybe Nico and Wyatt?" She continued, looking at the two uncertainly. "The girls can take the bunkbeds with room for one more, but y'all will have to fight over who takes the couch."

"I'll take the couch." Levi spoke up, his voice more raspy than usually.

At that, Molly brightened up, clearly not wanting to have to deal out bad news or break up any disagreements. "Perfect." She clasped her hands together excitedly before turning around to unlock the door.

"Isn't the view gorgeous?" Nessa turned and asked me quietly, noticing I had been admiring the view from the house out to the lake.

"Breathtaking." Adelaide nodded, looking back out at the way the sun reflected out over the water.

"Molly and Nico's parents bought it a few years ago after a bad drought made all the land here ridiculously cheap. We've been coming ever since. This is by far the most full the lake has been since we started coming. It's awesome you get to see it like this for the first time." Nessa smiled through her words to me.

"I'm more than grateful. For everything, really." Adelaide could not find the words to express just how much Nessa had done for her already. Just bringing her into her friend group and trusting that she was going to fit in was enough for Adelaide.

Now, here she was being included in their traditions. Adelaide hoped her words were enough for Nessa to understand and it seemed to get her point across as Nessa smiled, brightly and gave Adelaide a warm hug.

The wood creaked slightly beneath Adelaide's feet as she entered the house. Adelaide's smiled widened. It was perfect.

The kitchen was small, but open to the rest of the room. The living room faced the lake and there was a small tv in the corner, clearly not used often because why would anyone truly need a tv when they stayed here. There were countless clashing woods and dull greens and soft blues that filled the room. Some of the pictures filling the walls hung crooked. Even the full book shelf was leaning, prepared to topple over with one bad earth quake.

Everyone wasted no times dispersing to settle into their assigned rooms. Adelaide followed slowly, happy to spend time taking in the details of the house.

It was already dark by the time everyone finished fiddling around and touring the house. They gradually all took a spot in the living room, munching on the cold pizza Nico had driven into town for.

"Let's play a game." Nessa suggested, setting down her empty paper plate.

"Oooh truth or dare!" Molly pipped up.

"You first then, Molly. Truth or dare?" Nessa asked.

"Dare." Molly's voice oozed confidence, but her pink cheeks gave away her nerves.

"I dare you to suck on one of Wyatt's toes for 30 seconds." Nessa could barely get the words out as she giggled her whole way through speaking.

Molly's entire face fell and turned a deep shade of red. Her eye's shot to Wyatt's, who looked equally as embarrassed.

"You heard the woman!" Ryan asserted, pointing at Wyatt for emphasis.

The game went on around the room for another 30 minutes. Moving from Molly sucking on Wyatt's big toe (after much encouragement) to Wyatt admitting he once stole his parents car to sneak over to a girls house only to get a flat half way there. He then promptly dared Ryan to sing his best karaoke song, Titanium by David Guetta of course. Ryan naturally put forth an entire show lasting several minutes that included an encore of Lady Gaga's Paparazzi. Ryan then dared Nico to give Adelaide a lap dance that left everyone clutching their stomachs in pain afterwards. Well, everyone except Levi.

"Levi!" Nessa called after taking a deep, stabilizing breath. "Truth or Dare?"

"Dare." He replied, bored.

"7 minutes in heaven with the person of your choice." Ryan blurted out before Nessa could get a word out.

"Ryan!" Nessa scolded under her breath.

Levi simply rolled his eyes, standing up. He didn't bother looking around the room, he had his target set in mind. Adelaide almost gasped as he pulled her up by her arm, having her stumble behind him and into the surprisingly spacious coat closet.

"Levi!" Adelaide gasped as he shut the door behind them.

"Addie." He greeted in a whisper.

The combination of the darkness of the coat closet and the lack of space between them was toying with Adelaide. She began to feel her legs shake under her own weight, threatening to give way. Levi must have sensed this as he wrapped one arm around her waist, leaning over her with his other hand on the wall next to her head.

Leaning down to her ear, he said, "I thought I told you to fix it with Wyatt, Addie? Did I not?" Even at a whisper Levi's voice was stern.

"There's nothing to fix. I don't even know what you mean." Adelaide's voice came out shaking slightly with nerves.

Levi hummed, mulling over her response for several seconds.

"I'm going to kiss you now, Addie." Levi finally said.

"What?" Her eyes widened, alerted. Even in the dark, she was able to find his eyes as her question left her mouth.

"I am going to kiss you. Okay?" He asked, leaning down so lips were a breath away from her own.

"O-okay." Her answer left her unsurely but her lips parted slightly in anticipation.

In the next second his lips gently covered hers like promised. Adelaide had never kissed anyone before so she wasn't quite sure what to do. Luckily, Levi took most of the control and kissed her slowly, sensing that she wasn't experienced.

Just as Adelaide felt she was starting to find a little bit of her own rhythm, Levi pulled away. She swallowed her minor disappointment as she opened her eyes, meeting Levi's again.

His hand left the wall and met her jaw where he brought his thumb to tug at her bottom lip.

"Why did you invite him?" Levi asked and just like that, their previous conversation was brought right back.

Adelaide tried not to let the surprise of the abrupt change of conversation falter her. "I wanted to." She answered.

"These lips were made for me, Addie. Not Wyatt." The softness of Levi's delivery contrasted the fire in his eyes in a way that left Adelaide unnerved.

Choosing to ignore his first statement, Adelaide answered, "Molly likes Wyatt."

"I didn't ask who Molly likes." Levi quirked a brow.

"But." Adelaide paused, trying to collect her words. "Wyatt likes Molly too."

"He fucking better, Addie."
