β˜† Arelliya POV β˜†

I woke to the sound of indistinctive chatter and lots of movement. Opening my eyes I could see the Sully's walking around with their hands filled with small things. My eyes widened at what was going on around me and I jumped out of where I was sleeping and walked over to Neytiri who looked solemn.

"What's going on?" I questioned, eyeing my surroundings. "We're leaving" she said quietly as she selected a few items that she cared deeply for. "Wait what!" my tone was alarmed, which caught the attention of the Na'vi. "Why are we leaving?" I kept my tone just above a whisper as the people continue to walk by.

She turned to look at me, her eyes wet with fresh tears. She placed a hand on my arm and sat down, nodding for me to sit beside her. "We are not safe here anymore Arelliya" she sighed placing her hand gently on my arm. "What happened to fighting for our clan, for our people" I begged, why were we abandoning our people when they need us most.

"Staying here... staying here means putting our clan in more danger. We don't have a choice" she explains, pain was evident in her voice. It sounded as if she was against this plan and honestly I knew that this must have taken a lot of persuading for Neytiri to leave her home land. She used to tell me storys about her father and the first war, how her father gave her his bow and told her to protect her people.

I sat there for a minute as she wiped one of her stray tears away. "I will do whatever it take to protect my people" I stand up looking at her and our home land. "Wether that is leaving for good or sacrificing my life, I will do whatever it take to protect Eywa and my people" I stated, determination lacing my words. "We will protect our people Neytiri, no matter the distance" I said to my mother figure causing her to smile brightly.

"You really do know how to make any situation better" she laughed as she stood up from her position taking her hands in mine. "Where are we headed to?" I asked, curious to where we would be staying next. "Metkayina, the ocean clan just off pandoras reef" she said with a small smile. "I've always wanted to go to the beach" I smiled brightly before leaving Neytiri to finish packing her things.

I left to go and select what things I would like to bring with me. It seems wrong for me to be slightly excited about what's to come, I will forever be a part of the Omatikaya clan at heart and nothing will ever change that. I looked around my things, most of them were just borrowed or found items from the forest or the sky people but I did not hold much sentiment towards my things.

I had a small satchel that I put in a piece of broken mirror along with a small selection of clothing and some more pieces of metal to wear. And with that I was ready. The sun was almost at its peak in the sky, meaning it was almost time for us to leave and officially be excommunicated from the clan.

I picked up my brown leather satchel and wandered over to where the rest of the family where. Neytiri's demeanour was once again full with sadness and my heart truly yearned for her, this was her home, she's loved and lost and made peace here and now soon she won't belong.

I walked besides Neteyam in silence along with the rest of the Sully family towards the clan that was awaiting the Torouk Makto, leader of their clan to chose another leader. We all wandered up to the front of the crowd, none of us spoke as we made our way to the Na'vi.

Soon enough it was done. Torouk Makto was no more and we were no longer apart of the Omatikaya clan. Neytiri, Tuk and Kiri all had tears streaming down their faces, wiping them quietly from their cheeks. I looked to Lo'ak and Neteyam who were both still faced and quiet, it hurt to see them so wounded from this but it is what's best for our people.

We continued to leave in silence, our Na'vi not uttering a word as we left and and us not speaking to each other as we mounted our Ikrans and fled from our clan, each looking back at our home land as it slowly disappeared. The journey was long and rough as we passed through the lands of pandoras rough and stormy seas and soon it stilled as we approached the Metkayina clan.

I knew this part of pandora was going to be beautiful but I wasn't prepared for it to be more amazing than I thought. The sun was shining, glinting off the ocean that was so clear I could see small coloured fish swimming below me. In front of us was a beach with white sand and trees with large roots protruding from its surface.

We yipped as we arrived to the clan, horns being blown at our arrival as we flew out Ikrans down to a patch of silky soft sand. As soon as I got off LΓΌjan I stroked her neck and thanked her for helping me travel across Pandora before releasing our link and following behind Jake and Neytiri as the approached the clan.

Men with wooden spears stood around us as we walked towards the centre of the people surrounding us. I peered around at the ocean clan, they looked different to us. Their skin was still blue but an aqua shade like the ocean they lived on. It was amazing how their bodies have adapted to survive in the ocean, their tails and arms thick to aid them in their water.

As I admired these people two boys a similar age to me came over to the side of me Lo'ak and Neteyam but we were not welcomed. It would have been better if they had said nothing at all yet they came over to us, their eyes raking over our bodies as they laughed. They made fun of our tails, pointing and jesting.

Instantly my body went rigid, my admiration slowly dying at their words and being replaced with rage. I wanted to wipe the smirks of their faces although that would not be good for my people as we would no longer be welcomed here. But as if Eywa listened to what I was thinking, a beautiful girl who looked to be the same age as the boys came over and hit one of them.

I couldn't help but smile at her. The chief of their clan approached us from the water, and came to greet us. His body was a big and strong build, he had tattoos littering his body and a large staff with him. And then a small pregnant woman emerged from the crowd of people, eyeing us up as if we were filth.

"Why do you come?" The chief of the clan asked Jake. "I seek a sanctuary for my family" he said much to the chiefs confusion. "We are reef people, you are forest people. Your skills are not worth anything here" he said civilly. "We will learn your ways" Jake attempted to persuade them. The wife of the chief walked around us, poking at our arms and lifting our tails.

And if that wasn't enough she lifted Kiri's hands to show everyone her five fingers. "These people are not even real Na'vi" she announced before moving to Lo'ak screaming that they were demon blood. I couldn't help but let a hiss escape my lips at this woman, the downright disrespect was awful. "They are real Na'vi" I responded to her comments and she turned to look at me.

"And what are you, you don't even look any part Na'vi. You're a chemical abomination" she hissed and fury brewed within me. Before i could say anything Neteyam grabbed my wrist, keeping me in place. I knew that I needed to be kind to this woman in order to receive safe haven but she just got on my nerves like no one else has before.

"You can adapt. I have adapted" Jake said showing his five fingered hand towards the Metkayina clan. "My husband was Torouk Makto, he lead the clan to victory" Neytiri stood up for me and her family much to Jakes dismay but the cheifs wife did not back down. "You call this victory" she sneered at Neytiri. "It seems Eywa has turned her back on you oh chosen one" she gritted out. Both the wives of each leader hissed at eachother.

Jake apologised on Neytiri behalf - not that they deserved an apology but the clan were all hesitant about us. Making sure to keep a safe distance from us and it hurt to hear my family be disrespected and not be able to do anything about it.

Soon Jake and the chief began to converse, he pleaded our case of safe haven and against his wife's judgment the cheif turned to his people and began to speak to all.

"Torouk Makto and his family will stay with us, treat them as our brothers and sisters. Teach them our ways so they do not suffer the shame of being useless" he welcomed us in with a slight remark but it was good enough for me, we would be safe here.
