"We've got to go back now" I groaned as I lifted my head from Neteyam's chest. We had laid together on the sand to watch the last of the eclipse but unfortunately it passed quickly and we had to leave, Jake Sully's orders. Neteyam groaned in annoyance as he stood up, once again offering me his hand.

I looked up at him with a wide grin. "Seriously!" He whined that I would still not take his hand. "Fine, if you won't let me help you get up, I will just get you up all by myself" he grinned, not giving me time to stand up for myself as he wrapped his arms around me and lifted me off the ground placing me over his shoulder.

"Neteyam, put me down" I yelled but I couldn't help but laugh as I tried to kick my legs and wriggle from his grip. He calls me stubborn, he really needs to meet himself. "I am independent, I don't need help" I screeched, still trying to get out of his iron grip. "And I'm a gentleman" he responded in the same tone.

"Then put me down oh so gentle man" I groaned and luckily he placed my purple feet back down onto the stable ground. As soon as he put me down I nudged his body with my hip making him stumble to the side slightly. "Want me to pick you up again?" He stepped towards me, in a joking manner as if he was going to follow through with his threat.

I squealed and jumped to the side which to him was such a funny reaction as he held his stomach as he laughed. "Ha ha you're really funny" i state sarcastically as we neared the tent where the family was. "Indeed I am" he responded and continued to laugh.

We entered our new place of rest and everyone including Lo'ak was back, all of them getting ready to sleep. Neteyam sleeping area was not close to mine, opposite in fact. As we both laid down, we never broke eye contact until his eyes fluttered closed and he fell asleep. I turned to lay on my back, looking to the roof of our new home with a coy smile consuming my face.

"I see the way you look at him" a small voice brought me out my trance as I looked to who it came from, Kiri. My eyes widened slightly at the thought of her knowing, I knew Neteyam was the one I would spend my life with but I was scared of the way his family would react.

"And I see they way you look at each other" she smiled slightly and I was worried about what she was going to say. "Please don't tell anyone" I begged as I moved my body to face her. "Promise" she said, putting me at ease. "But I wouldn't be surprised if they already know, I know for certain Lo'ak knows something" she whispered, looking over towards the youngest brother.

"How?" My eyes widened once more in shock, how does everyone know. "You two cannot stay away from each other" she laughed slightly as she looked over to Neteyam. "And after the sky people caught us and we thought you died, Neteyam almost lost it. It was obvious he cared for you in a different way from the rest of us" she said softly.

My heart broke at her words, they thought I died. If Neteyam wasn't asleep I would have gone over and hugged him but he needed his rest from the long ride we endured. "You two are great together" Kiri finished before rolling over and closing her eyes. I thought we did a pretty good job at keeping it a secret.

It wasn't long before I too fell asleep, thinking about happy things and by happy things that meant me and Neteyam.

I woke to light warming my face and the happy smiles of the family around me. "Morning" Tuk said to me and she jumped into my chest, wrapping her small arms around me. "Good morning tuk" I said and as I pulled away she held a sad expression. "What wrong?" I asked worry clouding my face. "I just want to go home" she said quietly and i wrapped my arms around her once more. "It's okay Tuk" I said into her hair as I held her close.

"Family meeting everyone" Jake announced, letting everyone crowd around in a circle. Tuk jumped off me and ran to her mum as i crouched down next to Neteyam. He smiled in greeting to which I returned, catching a glimpse of Kiri's grin out of the corner of my eye.

"I need you kids on your best behaviour" he begins to speak to the 4 of us, Tuk not included. "Learn fast" he says to all of us but looked to kiri when he says this. "Pull your weight" he looks to Neteyam. "And don't cause trouble" his gaze flicking between me and Lo'ak. "Right?" He looks mostly between his two sons. "Yes sir" they both state to much of Lo'ak's dismay.

"This is our home now" he continues a hint of sadness present in his voice. "Now what does your father always say" Neytiri looks towards us. "Sully's stick together" they all begin to say but I kept quiet, mouthing the words as they spoke. I knew the Sully's stuck together, but I wasn't a Sully, that wasn't my fathers name, not that I even have a father.

"Okay meeting adjourned" Jake said with a clap of his hands, dismissing us. "Now go find Tsireya and Ao'nung, you begin to learn today" Jake said as he gave us our orders and we headed off to find the children of the Chief. Neteyam dropped in step besides me, swinging his arm over my shoulder a smile present on his face.

"What's got you all happy?" I asked, knowing the reason as I felt the exact same. "Hm, I have no idea. Maybe it's the air?" He laughed, the smile never leaving his face. Before i could say anything more Tuk shouted Tsireya's name and ran over to where her and her brother were, floating in the water.

Tuk didn't waste a second jumping into the water, her whole body went under the water and she quickly surfaced and swam over to Tsireya, Ao'nung and another boy. Kiri quickly jumped in after Tuk along with Lo'akΒ  as me and Neteyam approached the end of the wooden structure.

I removed his arm from around my shoulders, quickly letting go as I pushed him over the edge and into the water but before i could laugh at him, his hand found mine as he was falling and he pulled me down with him. My body clashed into his as we hit the large body of water, his arms wrapping around mine under the surface.

We slowly began to sink downwards to the bottom of the ocean and I don't think I have ever seen anything more magnificent. The water was filled with all sorts of small and big creatures, both in swarms alone. Neteyam let go of me as he to was captivated by the ocean.

I swam a little away from him, exploring the life around me. Tall and colourful reefs surrounded me, full with small creatures and fish. Something brushed my arm and as I turned around abruptly to look, a large fish, bigger than a man swam past me. It's fins were a vibrant orange and red, it's body filled with scales that reflected the light that came from above the water.

I continued to swim around the bottom of the ocean taking in its beauty. The connection I felt above the water was only a small part of what I felt now. My stomach was filled with warmth that spread out across my skin as I swam through the water.

The need for air didn't come, it was as if I could breathe perfectly fine in the water, it was something that I had never experienced before. All I could see around me was the animals that lived here and this habitat. I smiled as I swam along side a swarm of fish. I could feel them surround my body and move with me in the middle of their group.

I don't know how long I had been here for but frankly I was not bothered. The ocean consumed me and I let it as I explored its truths and secrets, the depth of the ocean deepened and the water cooled the more north I swam as I continued on, only stopping when I heard an unusual clacking sound coming from besides me.

I followed the noise and saw a beautiful, large see animal, set up with riding gear on its back. It swam in circles around me, rubbing its face up against my arms. As if it was the most natural thing I held onto the gear, connecting my que with its own and the animal began to swim at a phenomenal speed, carrying me back from where I came from. I could see from the bottom of the ocean, seven figures, floating ontop of the surface.

The creature took me up to the group of people i could only assume was Neteyam and everyone else. Just a few meters below the surface of the water i let go of the animal, stroking its neck before letting it swim away. I smiled once more at the ocean as i head up towards the others and surfacing the water for the first time.

"Arelliya" Neteyam called out alongside the Lo'ak, Kiri and Tuk. "Where were you?" Neteyam asked as I swam besides him. "In the water?" I asked with a confused expression. "She was at one with the water" Tsireya spoke softly with a small smile. "She didn't even need to break for air, she's a natural" she spoke admiringly at me.

"Yeah and your family aren't, they had to come up for air every ten seconds" Ao'nung joked, laughing in their faces. A slight hiss escaped my lips and I could feel my tail sway in the water and just like before Tsireya hit her brother and I couldn't help but be the one to laugh this time.

Tsireya looked at all of us before smiling "Follow me"
