Movies and tv shows are a lie. They make everything seem so cool and fancy, but WHY DOESN'T ANY OF IT WORK IN REAL LIFE?

I groaned in frustration when I couldn't turn the screw to the vent with my thumb nail. "Hollywood is a lie." I kicked the vent then went back to sitting on the makeshift bed of crates.

According to my watch, it was 10am in the morning. I woke up 3 hours ago when the lightbulb hanging above us came back on.

Ji Ae was still sleeping on the crates, her body shivering from the freezing autumn temperature drops during the night. I had already given her my jacket and was now rubbing my arms through my sweater.

No one had come in to torture us yet, but I could hear low voices speaking and laughing when I pressed my ear against the door.

Mommy and daddy should be in Korea soon if they have not already landed.

"Ae..." I shook my twin to wake her up. I probably shouldn't wake her up, but I didn't want her to be asleep when the witch showed up. We can't show weakness. "Ae, wake up."

I touched her cheek to pinch her skin, but reared back by how hot she was. She was burning up.

I pushed away her hair that was covering her face revealing bright red cheeks and furrowed eyebrows. I put a hand on mine and her forehead to compare our temperatures and she definitely had a fever. She nuzzled her head into my hand when she felt how cold it was, her breathing becoming more labored.

Why does she have a fever? Maybe she did get an infection? Or maybe it was because of the ramen the traitor gave us yesterday. I knew that I shouldn't have trusted him.

I ran towards the door and pounded on it. "Help! Let us out please! My sister is sick!" I continuously pounded on the door until I heard footsteps and the door abruptly opened, causing me to fall onto my butt.

"Why are you yelling and making so much noise?" One of the guards snarled at me. "I'll duct tape your mouth shut and beat your ass like Jaesuk should've done last night."

"My sister is sick." I got back up onto my feet. "Please, can you get her some medicine?"

"I don't see how that has anything to do with me."

He turned around to leave then I latched onto his leg. I don't beg. A trait that I got from both mommy and daddy.

"Please. Take her to the hospital. She's going to die!"

The guard looked over to Ji Ae still sleeping on the crates then snorted. "It's just a fever. What does it matter anyways? You're both going to die soon."

"Are you just going to leave a sick kid on her own?!" I argued.

"Look kid." He strongly grabs me by the shoulders and pushes me away. "You probably won't understand because you grew up spoiled, but people like me who didn't grow up with a silver spoon or fancy house will do anything for money. I'm not risking my money just for taking your sister to the hospital because she's got a fever."

That angered me. How people can be so vile and forget their morals just for money. I took a deep breath then fisted my hands properly like how daddy taught me.

"Help! My! Sister!" I punched him but he caught my fist with his hand.

The man only looked down at me with an amused expression on his face. "You call that a punch kid? It's like a mosquito bite." He pulled back his fist. "Should I show you what a real punch should feel like?"

"What is going on here?" Someone yelled down the hall and the guard lowered his fist. I quickly took a couple steps back in case he changed his mind on not punching me. I knew which battles to pick and when to retreat.

I looked past the guards legs and I saw Jaesuk walking with the witch beside him. Sana looked disappointed that Jaesuk had called off the guard.

"What's all the commotion?" Jaesuk demanded. "Why did you open the door?"

"The kid was making some noise and punched me. I thought I would teach him a lesson." The guard shrugged and stepped aside as Jaesuk and Sana entered the room.

"My sister is sick! You have to take her to the hospital." I turned to Jaesuk.

He has to help us. He gave us food yesterday and didn't beat us didn't he? Maybe he isn't a bad person, just helping bad people.

However, Jaesuk's face was blank and his expression didn't hint at anything.

"Boohoo, so what?" Sana glanced at Ji Ae then to me, a fiendish smile creeping up her lips. "I'll consider it." I'm sensing a but here. "But, you'll have to beg."

"Please take her to the hospital." I repeated for the fourth time through my clenched teeth.

"Oh no, that's not what I meant." Sana shook her head. "You need to say it on camera. Jaesuk, get your phone out."

I looked to the man who I gave a small ounce of trust for last night and he pulled out his phone. The little morsel of respect I had for him was now gone once again.

"You aren't camera shy are you? What am I saying? Jungkook turned you into a model, of course not. So you won't have any problems talking to the camera and begging will you?" Sana laughed to herself. She wasn't even trying to hide her true self anymore, she was slowly unraveling to reveal the psycho she always was. She turned to Jaesuk. "Are you recording?"

Jaesuk gives a stiff nod and raises his phone so the camera is directly pointed at me.

"Wave to the camera Jihyun and say hello to daddy and mommy." Sana gave an overly sweet smile. "I'll be sending this to them later."

"Hello." I grinded my teeth together and glared at the camera. Hopefully if mommy and daddy were watching this then they don't think that I'm mad at them and rather the people forcing me to do this.

She walked behind me and placed her hands on my shoulders. "Now, what was it that you said to me earlier? I didn't quite catch that."

There was a long pause before I spoke. "Please take my sister to the hospital. She has a fever."

"Oh... That can't be good." Sana made a pouty face. "Let's check on your precious little sister shall we?"

Sana motions Jaesuk to follow her and the two of them approach Ji Ae. I wasn't going to let them surround her while she was vulnerable so I rushed in between them. Sana ignores me and reaches over my head to pinches Ji Ae's cheek. She whimpers and squirms, but she doesn't wake up.

"Good little girls should wake up when they're told." Sana clicks her tongue.

"Stop that!" I dug my nails into the palm of my hand as hard as I could and tears welled in my eyes.

"Beg." Sana snapped.

"Why are you doing this?" I couldn't stop the tremble in my voice. "Why do you have to hurt us?"

"Because I want Y/N to cry." Sana says as if it was obvious and starts to raise her voice. "I want her to grieve! If I can't have Jungkook then I'm not going to let her be happy!" Her lips curve upward. "And I know Y/N will never be happy again if you die, or Jungkook will sacrifice himself and marry me before that even happens." Sana looks at the camera. "It's your choice, Jungkook."

Sana nods at Jaesuk and he ends the recording.

"You'll take her to the hospital now right?" I asked.

"Did I ever promise I would?" Sana chuckles and turns to walk out of the room. "Send that video to Jungkook."

Jaesuk sends the video to Jungkook and the guard tells him, "I'm taking a smoke. Watch them until I get back."

The guard left, and through the open door, I could see him shake the hand that caught my fist. It gave me a little satisfaction that I was able to do some damage to him, but nothing I did helped solve my problem.

"Please, mister." I turned back to Jaesuk. "I don't care if you leave me here, but at least take my sister to the hospital."

"I can't do that." Jaesuk shook his head. "Taking her to a hospital is too much of a risk. What if your sister reports what we did to you? We'll end up in jail."

"You know that my daddy is coming here right now. If he finds out you didn't take her to the hospital then jail is the last thing on your mind." I argued, pulling out the rich daddy card. "If you save Ae then I can put in a word with my daddy."

"I'm not the one I'm worried about." Jaesuk clenched his fist.

Ahh... No matter what he still has loyalty to the witch. In a way I can respect that, but I really want to kick him in the place where the sun doesn't shine, even if daddy said it was sacred to men.

"Fine. I'll see what I can do about her." I reluctantly said. "But no promises! She broke the law!"

"I can't believe I just negotiated with a child." Jaesuk mutters then goes to grab Ji Ae. "I'll leave her somewhere safe then come back. I need to be here before Wooyoung comes back."

Wooyoung must've been the name of that guard. I nodded my head and sat on the crates.

Jaesuk closed the door and left me alone in the room. I could hear his footsteps growing fainter and fainter while I sat here wondering if I made the right decision.

Y/N

While the private jet had started to land, I couldn't help but feel jittery and anxious. My leg bounced up and down as I stared outside the window to the tarmac.

Jungkook had said there would be a car waiting for us the moment we landed and all I wanted to do was just jump out of the plane.

A hand grabbed onto my own and I turned my eyes to Jungkook. He had a soft comforting look on his face, but I could see the storms behind his eyes. He had wanted to get the hell out of this plane just as much as I did.

How could we not? Sana had finally gone too far and kidnapped our kids.

"They're our kids. You know they'll be alright." He assured me. "Jihyun is strong enough to protect them both."

"He's seven." I breathed out.

"And yet he's tough and mature for his age."

"He shouldn't have to be." I shook my head and wiped my eyes. "No child should have to go through what they're going through and we were halfway across the world when it happened."

Jungkook got up from his seat and sat on the armrest of my seat. He wrapped his arms around my shoulder and pulled me toward his chest.

"I know. But we're here now and we're going to do everything we can to find them. Right Taehyung?"

Taehyung nodded from where he sat at the table. "Since we've landed I've been looking at the updates we've got from the police. Sana has been seen in Seoul, but they're unable to act because there is no proof that she is behind all this."

"What about Jaesuk?" Jungkook asked.

I clenched my fist at the sound of his name. Jaesuk always seemed to have something against me, but it was never fully directed at me. Now everything explains why.

The pilot announced that we had fully landed and the three of us couldn't be more quick to get off the plane. I sat in the back of the car with Jungkook while Taehyung sat in the front with the driver.

"To the police station." Jungkook tells the driver.

It was a tense drive towards the police station. We were on a countdown and didn't know when that time was up. Every second counted and we just wasted 14 hours.

"What the?" Jungkook tensed beside me. Taehyung and I looked at him and Jungkook rotated his phone. "Jaesuk sent me a video 20 minutes ago."

I leaned against Jungkook as he played the video. The camera was pointed at Jihyun who was glaring at the person behind the camera. The video pans out to reveal Sana. She places a hand on my son's shoulder and smiles at the camera.

As the video goes on, I found that it was harder to control my trembles.

"Because I want Y/N to cry. I want her to grieve! If I can't have Jungkook then I'm not going to let her be happy!" Taehyung looked back at us with terror and concern in his eyes as we listened to Sana talking in the video. "And I know Y/N will never be happy again if you die, or Jungkook will sacrifice himself and marry me before that even happens." Sana turned to smile at the camera again and chills ran down my back. "It's your choice, Jungkook."

The video ended and I let out the breath I didn't know I was holding. I looked down at my hands and saw the tight grip I had on Jungkook's arm.

"Sorry." I muttered and he pressed a long kiss onto my forehead.

"Don't worry. I was so angry I barely felt it."

Taehyung was the only one who let out a laugh and we looked at him.

"What?" I asked him.

How could he be laughing right now? Ji Ae has a fever and Sana uses it to send out a threat.

"Don't you see? Sana has finally given us the proof we needed to prove she was the one behind this. There is no better evidence than this." Taehyung points to the video. "And maybe, there is someone skilled enough to trace where the video was filmed or sent from."

I sat there staring at Taehyung as if he had solved the problem of world hunger. Jungkook barks out a laugh and saves the video onto his phone.

"Sana is so lost in her schemes that she hadn't thought this through." He taps a few buttons on his phone. "I sent it to the head of the police department. He'll get someone on it quickly." Jungkook squeezes my hand. "We'll find them quickly."

Shortly after we arrived at the police department. The chief of police spoke with Jungkook and I while Taehyung waited outside in the lobby.

"They were last seen near Seoul Land. The CCTVs have spotted them eating ice cream together then Mr. Moon dragged them into his car. The CCTVs couldn't continue to capture where they were going. The car entered some blindspots."

"What about tracing the locations where Jaesuk and Sana have been to in the past 24 hours?" Jungkook suggested. "We have solid proof that the two are behind the kidnapping now."

"We are currently looking into that Mr. Jeon." The chief said. "We should be able to locate their most recent locations in a few hours."

"A few hours?" I said. "Even one hour is too long."

"We're doing everything we can, Ms. Kim." The chief said in a firm tone. "We understand the importance of this case and how you may be feeling. However, there are other high priority cases our district is trying to solve. Our resources are currently stretched."

"And we thank you for your hard work." Jungkook nods just as my phone rings.

I frowned when it was the hospital calling. "I'm going out to answer this call."

I headed out to the lobby where Taehyung was waiting and answered the call.

"Hello?"

"Hi. Is this Ms. Kim Y/N?" A female voice answered.

"Yes, this is her." I took a seat next to Taehyung and he curiously glanced at me.

"This is Seoul Hospital calling," Did something happen to my dad? "We have a patient named Kim Ji Ae. We were informed that you were her mother."

My heart stopped. "Is she a seven year old girl with a fever?"

"I- yes." She confirms, slightly confused, how I knew Ji Ae had a fever.

My lips part and Taehyung was in a half sitting and half standing position as if he was ready to run to get Jungkook.

"Is she there with a boy? Her twin?"

"No. She came alone with a man who dropped her off."

I nodded at Taehyung and he rushed down the corridor to the chief's office.

"Do you know what he looked like or if he told you his name?"

There could only be one person who could have dropped her off.

"No. He only dropped her off and informed us to call you before he left."

Jungkook and Taehyung came running down the hall as I nodded. "Ok, thank you so much. Please don't let her out of your sight and if you see him, please don't let him leave."

I hung up the phone and stood up.

"Ji Ae is at the hospital?" I nodded to Jungkook's question.

"I highly doubt that Sana would actually keep her word and take Ae to the hospital." Taehyung had a slight wrinkle in his forehead.

"It doesn't matter." I said, turning to Taehyung. "Tell Chief Shin to look at the CCTVs around the hospital. It should catch Jaesuk leaving or entering. We need to get to the hospital."

"I'll see you there."

The ER was full of patients and medical staff rushing around the floor. Jungkook and I ran towards the nursing station.

"Where is the patient Kim Ji Ae?" I asked the nurse. "I'm her mother, Kim Y/N."

"Just down the hall." She points to the last bed with a smile.

We didn't waste another second and rushed towards the bed. Sure enough, Ji Ae was sleeping with an IV tubing connected to her hand.

"Ae." I couldn't hold back my tears as I sat on the edge of the bed and caressed her cheek.

Jungkook placed a hand on my shoulder and stared down at our daughter.

A doctor approaches us and quickly scans the medical chart. "Are you Ji Ae's parents?"

Jungkook nods and speaks with the doctor.

"Well luckily your daughter only has a fever." The doctor explained. "It states here that the person who brought her here had recommended giving her a tetanus shot, but since he is not her guardian, we could not give one to her."

"Tetanus?" I shared a look with Jungkook. Then I remembered the room that they were locked in. "Can you give her a booster shot? I just realized that it's been years since she had one and I would just like to be sure."

The doctor doesn't question anything and nods his head. "I'll have it prepared shortly. Are there any questions that you would like me to answer?"

"Actually, there is something that I would like to ask you." Jungkook motions to a spot a little more isolated so people couldn't hear them.

The two of them went off to the side and if the doctor was surprised by anything Jungkook was telling him then he did a good job not showing it.

"Mommy?" Ji Ae mutters and I quickly turn my attention to her.

Ji Ae's eyes were struggling to open as she blinked away her sleep.

"Mommy is here for you, Ae." I gently squeezed her hand.

Once she had fully adjusted her sight and her eyes focused on me, she cried and practically jumped on top of me, wrapping her arms around my neck.

"Mommy!" She sobbed and I hugged her back, rubbing my hand up and down her back. "I knew that mommy would come save us."

"You're safe, Ae." I whispered soothingly. "You're alright."

"Where is Hyun?" She sniffed and pulled away enough to see my face. My heart stuttered and she saw the hesitancy in my eyes. Her arms loosened around my neck and she frowned. "He's not here is he?"

"No." I shook my head and pushed a few strands of her hair behind her ears. "Hyun acted like a big brother to help you."

"I'm tired of him acting like a big brother!" She shook her head. Fat tears rolled down her cheek. "He's only a few minutes older than me!"

Jungkook noticed us in the corner of his eyes and thanked the doctor before they parted ways. Jungkook sits beside me and pats Ji Ae's head.

"How are you doing, Ae?"

"Daddy." She holds out her arms to him and he lifts her out of my lap onto his. "Daddy, I was so scared. It was hard to be brave!"

"We know." He kissed her cheek. "We know."

"I miss Hyun! I want to see Hyun!" She sobs. "It was so dark and dirty! I don't want Hyun there!"

My heart completely broke at Ji Ae's cries and Jungkook held his other arm out for me. I slid closer and wrapped my arms around him and Ae, so she was sandwiched between us and Jungkook's arm went around my waist.

I felt a set of eyes on us and I lifted my head to look around the floor. I was finally about to give up when I finally saw Taehyung walking towards us. He waved and I gave him a small smile, turning back to Ji Ae who was still crying.

I planted a kiss on her cheek and pressed my forehead against hers.

"We'll find him and we'll be
