Y/N

After hanging up from my phone call with Avery, I went to interrupt the meeting with Jungkook and Bae Chic. I walked into the hotel's conference room just a couple floors below the hotel's gym.

Sunlight streamed into the room from the floor to ceiling windows and there was a large conference table in the center of the room. Jungkook sat at the table with Taehyung, Mr. Bae, and a couple of people from Bae Chic and our team of three from Silver Enterprise.

The lawyers were just completing the draft contract that would seal the deal to the collaboration between the two companies when I walked in.

"Are you in the middle of discussing something important or can this wait?" I looked between the group as I walked closer to the table.

"We were just about finished." Jungkook gestures to the lawyers dressed in crisp black or navy suits. "Is there anything else that you need from us?"

"No, that will be all." The lawyer for Bae Chic shook his head. "I think we can come into agreement with lawyers at Silver and make amendments if needed to. Any new terms and updated contracts will be CC'd to you."

"Then the meeting is over." Taehyung announced and everyone started to pack their things.

Jungkook and Taehyung approached me at the other end of the table and I informed them of my new discoveries.

"The doctor was bribed and falsified the reports." I concluded for the two of them, but I had been watching Jungkook this whole time for his reaction. "Sana isn't pregnant with your children, Jungkook. You can finally relax."

Jungkook smiled but it didn't reach his eyes. There was a tinge of disappointment, but it was gone as fast as it came. When Jungkook blinked, the sadness was gone and his smile grew wider.

"It's a little regretful since I've been told to believe they were mine. Also I'm a little high on baby fever. I was looking forward to having a baby." Jungkook whispers then presses a firm kiss onto my forehead. "But like I said, you are the only one who I want to have my babies with. You wouldn't perhaps want a third child do you?"

"Focus on winning back the kids' favor before we have this conversation again." I took a step further from Jungkook, but was close enough for his arm to be around my waist.

"I never believed Sana's words for a second." Taehyung engulfed me in a bear hug. "You did well not giving up hope."

"Well she wasn't really that convincing." I sent a look to Jungkook for falling for her plans. "Anyways, there is something else that you two need to know."

By now, the room had cleared out and the only people left were Jungkook, Taehyung, and I. Now, I could speak without conviction.

"Avery was the one who found out about the results first. She said that someone had accessed your office computer hours before, but you weren't in Korea at that time." I turned to Jungkook who was in deep thought. "Is there anyone who comes to mind?"

"There are a couple of people, but we need to contact the security department just to be sure."

Jungkook made a call to the company's security department to obtain any footage of anyone who entered Jungkook's office in the last 24 hours.

As we waited for the email with the files, Jungkook started to brainstorm ways to expose Sana with the truth. Taehyung suggested finding the real father and getting Jimin's help since he had originally aided Sana with this plan way back then.

I winced when Taehyung mentioned Jimin's involvement. It wasn't the best moment of Jimin's life and I certainly didn't want to remember his role in the plan to get revenge on Jungkook which led to this event.

"The father could literally be anyone." I shook my head. "And it's not like they would want the whole nation to know that they were the one who impregnated Sana."

"The only way out of this is for Sana herself to confess that I am not the father, but that will never happen in our lifetime." Jungkook sighs and leans back in the leather office chair.

My phone vibrated on the table and I grabbed it. "It's my mom, give me one moment." I stood up and headed to the corner of the room, right next to the windows. "Hello? Mom?"

"Sorry, Y/N. I only saw your text recently." My mother responded.

I leaned against the window and stared at the streets. "No worries. I was just wondering what the kids were up to since they didn't pick up their phones. Are they having fun?"

"They were sulking a little this morning because Jungkook wouldn't take them with him to New York." My mother chuckled. "You know that they can't stand to be separated from you."

"And how are they now? They aren't causing trouble or booking the next flight to New York are they? Jihyun is smart enough to do that so I would keep an eye on him."

"They were a little better this afternoon. However, it came at the expense of Jungkook's credit card and gaining a sugar high."

I started praying for Jungkook's wallet because there wasn't a limit on that card and the kids know how to milk people for their money.

"Just tell them that they can't have sweets after dinner. Actually- Where are they? Can I talk to them? I didn't get the chance to speak with them yesterday."

Jungkook's laptop pinged and Taehyung gestured me forward so we could review the security footage together. Jungkook pulled up the earliest video and I stood behind him leaning against his chair.

"The kids currently aren't home." The calmness of my mother's voice didn't sound right with the words she just spoke.

Mrs. Choi and my mother are at home while the twins, who Jungkook entrusted to them, aren't.

"Oh. So are they at Ina's or with Avery?"

On the screen, we watched video after video playing at 2x speed. No one had entered Jungkook's office after he had left Saturday morning. We started nearing the timeframe between when the email was received and the approximate time when Avery walked into Jungkook's office.

"No actually. Jungkook's assistant came to pick them up. He said that Jihyun had a contract signing today." As my mother spoke, the three of us watched Jaesuk walk into camera view. In his hands was a file in hand and his set of keys to the office. He enters the office and he comes out ten minutes later without the file when it should have only taken him less than three max. "The contact was exclusive to Jihyun only, but he asked if Ji Ae wanted to tag along so they both went."

"And you haven't seen them since?" I asked weakly.

My hand trembled and my eyes never tore away from the computer in case someone else entered the room. However, the only person who entered the office after Jaesuk was the janitor and Avery.

Jungkook was close enough to hear my mother's response. "Jihyun did have a signing today at 4pm, but since it's a formality I told Mrs. Choi to be the one who takes them there."

"Mr. Moon informed us that you had instructed him to take the kids to the signing after you had landed. We had no reason to doubt him."

Jungkook looked at me and he shook his head. He didn't give Jaesuk an order to do so.

"At what time did he come pick the kids up?"

"About 3:30?"

"Taehyung, call Kyungsoo and ask him if they showed up to the signing." Jungkook orders Taehyung, but he was already whipping out his phone. "Mrs. Kim, please report a missing person case and potential kidnapping."

"Jungkook." I whispered, my body turned into a trembling wreck.

I should've listened to the uneasy feeling from last night. If I had tried harder to check up on them then maybe this wouldn't have happened and the kids would be safe at home.

Jungkook stood from his seat and wrapped his arms around me. "Y/N, the kids are smart. They will be fine. There is nothing that Jaesuk can do to them."

"But what would he want with them?" I tried to find safety within his arms, but nowhere would feel safe until I had my babies back in my arms again.

Jungkook was strangely silent. His thumb drew circles on the small of my back and his hold on me tightened.

"Jungkook, you know something don't you?" I tipped my head up to him.

Jungkook exhales then one hand cups my cheek. "I know that Jaesuk has given Sana certain information about my schedules in the past and I have warned him about doing it again. The more I think about it, the more I think that Jaesuk has been working with Sana this whole time. The embezzlement. The false paternity test. Now the kids are missing after the new paternity test results?"

"We have to go back to Seoul." I grabbed onto the lapels of his shirt. "We have to find Hyun and Ae."

"Y/N, but what about the fashion show?" Taehyung just finished his call and walked back into the room. "You've been preparing for this for weeks. Who knows if you'll get another opportunity like this if you miss it."

"Fuck the fashion show, Taehyung." I stepped away from Jungkook's hold and turned to Taehyung. "My children are missing and potentially in the hands of a psychotic woman. A fashion show is the least of my concerns."

"Taehyung, did you find out if they showed up to the signing?" Jungkook cuts in.

Taehyung rubs his tired eyes and nods. "They did show up for the signing. They said that there wasn't necessarily anything different about Secretary Moon and the kids didn't act strange either."

"The kids couldn't have known what they were walking into and Jaesuk is apparently an expert of hiding malintents." Jungkook snarls.

I could feel Jungkook's body stiffen behind me and I looked over my shoulder to see the furious look on his face. Placing a hand on his shoulder and cheek, I asked him, "Are you blaming yourself?"

"Of course." Jungkook answered almost immediately. "I had already known he was not loyal to me and aiding Sana. I should've fired him the day I found out instead of keeping him around. I was the one who hired him and trusted him."

"You weren't the only one who trusted him." I assured him. "I recommended him the most out of all the other interviewee's so I had a part in this too."

"I also trusted him." Taehyung nods his head. "Everyone in the company did. He was good at his job."

"So now what do we do?"

"Like you said, we fly back to Seoul." Jungkook nods his head. "We'll take a private jet and leave as soon as possible. We're already going to waste 14 hours on a plane, we have to leave now if we find them soon." Jungkook turns to me. "And get back in time for the fashion show."

Jihyun

We shouldn't have trusted him.

Never let your guard down even to a man who buys you ice cream. Stranger danger. Though, this person wasn't really a stranger. Mommy and daddy knew him. He worked for daddy. But would he still be considered a stranger since I've never met him myself?

I could still hear the sound of the car's engine rumbling even though we weren't moving. Outside the car, daddy's secretary was speaking on the phone. I heard him mention the name Sana which belonged to that witch.

I peaked my eyes open and looked to my right. Ji Ae was sitting in the seat next to me, completely knocked out.

How did we get into this mess?

Daddy's secretary came to daddy's house just as we were about to leave with Mrs. Choi. He said that daddy told him to take us instead. After my contract signing with the Fraya group, daddy's secretary said that he was going to buy us ice cream to celebrate my successful signing. What else would you expect? Of course we said yes. Who could say no to ice cream?

Ji Ae being Ji Ae, made a mess around her mouth and daddy's secretary wiped it off for her with a handkerchief.

It was as if we were in a movie. The handkerchief smelled funny and daddy's secretary tried to suffocate us with it.

Mommy has tried to make us avoid watching movies like those. Mommy says that we're too young to watch them and should stick to Paw Patrol or Disney, but we would always watch them anyway in secret. Enough for me to know not to inhale the funny smell.

But I can't hold my breath forever, you know. By the time he removed the handkerchief I felt a little queasy and tired, but still awake. I could still remember how it happened.

"Jihyun, Ji Ae. How about we get ice cream?" Daddy's secretary asked the two of us once we got back into the car after my signing. "My treat. You made a big accomplishment finishing your first signing without either of your parents."

"Ice cream!" Ji Ae shouted and threw her arms in the air.

"Ok." I shrugged. I won't turn down free ice cream.

We went to a small ice cream parlor nearby and daddy's secretary even bought us a triple scoop!

He suggested that he would drive us to a park so we could enjoy our ice cream. It was a small park. There was no one around. We sat on a bench close to the car and daddy's secretary watched as we ate our ice cream cones.

"You have a little something there." Daddy's secretary points to the corner of his lips then to Ji Ae.

Ji Ae licks her lips and then looks at him expectantly, but there was still strawberry ice cream all around.

"No, Ae. Here." I groaned and wiped it off with my thumb. "Gross."

I wiped my sticky fingers on my clothes and daddy's secretary pulled out the handkerchief. "I'll clean the rest off for you."

He wipes my hands clean then uses the same handkerchief to wipe Ae's mouth.

"It smells funny." Ji Ae muffles against the handkerchief and wraps her hands around the secretary's wrist, but he doesn't relent and continues to wipe her mouth.

"Nope. Your mouth isn't all clean yet."

I continued to lick my ice cream, but when some got onto my nose, I lifted my hand to wipe it off then I smelled the funny smell on my fingers.

"Why does your tissue smell funny?" I asked daddy's secretary.

"It's disinfectant to make sure that there is no bacteria on it." He gives me a tight smile. An uneasy smile.

Ever since we have moved to Korea, I have seen dozens of those smiles. From people who worked for daddy. From stylists. From kids from school. From random strangers who knew who we were. They all had one thing in common. They were all fake and always had bad intentions.

"Take that thing off of her!" I tried to push him, but what could a seven year old do against an adult man?

Ji Ae started to struggle against the handkerchief and the hand that held it there and he pulls out another handkerchief from his pocket and does the same to me.

I held my breath for as long as I could, but Ji Ae was already knocked out. When I couldn't hold it in anymore, I pretended to faint and dropped my ice cream onto the ground. Daddy's secretary removed the handkerchiefs and carried us back into the car and drove away.

I didn't know how far he drove or for how long. I lost count once I closed my eyes. I barely had time to check the surroundings outside the window before daddy's secretary turned around and opened the car door.

I quickly shut my eyes and I heard two new voices.

"Are these the kids that Sana was talking about?"

"I don't know why she feels so threatened by two spoilt rich kids."

The new voices were deep and judging by the large hands and bulging muscles that carried me out of the car, they weren't small people.

"How long have they been out?"

"About half an hour?" Daddy's secretary answered. "I used a lot of chloroform and they are kids so it should have a stronger impact on them."

"Then we can expect that they will be asleep for another 20 minutes or so."

The men started moving and carrying us elsewhere. I didn't want to take the risk and open my eyes in case someone was watching.

"Are you sure you won't hurt them?" Daddy's secretary called after them. "They're just kids."

"The original plan is to just use them as leverage to make sure that model stays away from Jungkook and so that they won't expose the truth." I heard the clattering of metal stairs as I was being carried up the stairs. "But Sana does what she wants. I won't be surprised if one of them ends up with a broken bone or worse."

My body stiffened and my body turned cold.

"Why are you so worried about their safety anyways?" The second guy chuckles. "You had the biggest role to play. You supplied information to Sana, embezzled for her, kidnapped someone else's kids, faked a paternity test, and shit- you were even the one who got her pregnant. If you were worried about them at all then I doubt you would have done all that."

If I could open my eyes, then I could imagine that they would be as wide as saucers. Daddy's secretary was the one who got Sana pregnant? Is that why he is helping that witch and hates mommy?

"How did she feel anyways?" The first guy asked. "She acts like a psychotic bitch, but she is sure hot as fuck. I'm surprised that Jungkook hadn't tapped her at least once."

"Why don't you guys shut up and do your jobs? Don't speak about Sana that way." Daddy's secretary snapped at them. There were a lot of anger in his voice, just like how daddy used to yell at people who hurt mommy. "Just guard them and make sure that they give them whatever they need."

"You don't need to tell us what to do. This isn't our first rodeo." The second dismisses him. "Hopefully they'll behave so they don't end up like Yang."

Yang... I've heard that name before. I overheard mommy say his name once. He used to work at daddy's company before he died in a car crash. Did these people cause it? Will they try to kill us too?

"I don't like killing kids, but Sana gave us the green light if we had to."

Sometimes I hate being right.

The two buff men dropped us onto the concrete ground then turned to close the door. I heard three clicks before I slowly opened my eyes again.

The room was dark except for the flickering lightbulb that hung above us. Everything about the room was dull. Concrete floor, walls, and a rusting metal door with three locks installed on them. Other than Ji Ae and I, there were only a couple of wooden crates that were stacked up against the wall.

I crawled over to my twin and shook her shoulder. "Ae. Wake up. Hurry. We're in danger."

I shook her harder and even squeezed her nose to try and cut off her airway, but she only groaned and opened her mouth to breathe instead.

I let out a sigh and gave up. I have been in many different situations before, but none such as this.

Ji Ae let out a shaky breath and a small shiver. I touched her hand which was freezing cold. It was currently the beginning of November and two layers of clothes weren't warm enough anymore.

Laying on the ground next to my twin, I wrapped my arms around her and entwined my legs with hers. I rubbed my hands against her arms and closed my eyes.

I miss mommy and daddy. I want to see them. I don't want to be here.
