Y/N

In the morning, when I woke up, Jungkook had already left and I was all alone in the apartment.

I took the time to clean up the apartment. Rearrange the twin's things since they left it a mess when they were packing last night.

Without the kids or my mother at home, and the controversy going on, the apartment had never felt more lonely.

I have never felt more lonely.

Jungkook had tried to reassure me last night but I didn't allow myself to be assured. I only let myself expect the worst because that way, I wouldn't be let down with false hopes.

There was still a while until the press conference where the results would be released. I was worried about the results. If it turned out positive then how would the kids take it? We may have sent them away for now, but eventually they will have to return.

I sat on the couch and scrolled through the company group chat, since officially, I was still Jungkook's secretary.

The employees were all talking about the press conference. How they were all busy preparing for it and what they hope or expect the results to be. None of them were in my favor. I was one of them, yet they all viewed me as the villain despite every single one of them hating on Sana as well.

I turned on the TV and one of the news channels was talking about the conference and waiting live on site.

"President of Silver Enterprises, Jeon Jungkook is now seen arriving at the building." The reporter said. The cameraman zooms in on Jungkook's impassive face, but I knew from the look in his eyes that he was tired and worried. "Mr. Jeon had been the one to arrange the paternity test. Is it because of Ms. Minatozaki's past history of lovers, or is it because of his own mistress/secretary who insiders claim is the mother of his other children."

The camera tries to follow Jungkook into the building however, bodyguards had stopped them from entering. Jungkook had looked back at the reporter with a glare just before he had entered.

I clenched my fists and punched the couch cushion. It was alright to slander me, but they aren't allowed to involve our children as if they were involved in this. They were innocent.

I tightly held the cushion to my chest and watched the broadcast.

Sana had appeared after a few minutes, her hand was on her stomach as she smiled to the cameras. The reporters were taking pictures of her and shouting out questions as she walked inside.

"Considering your past history with lovers, are you confident that the babies will be his?"
"How do you feel about the rumors of Jungkook's secret children?"
"Have you ever met Jungkook's lover? What was your first impression of her?"

"Well it doesn't affect me much but I think that what's in the past is in the past. It'll stay that way." She smiles to the cameras as they follow her towards the building. "I've met Y/N, she's very diligent and gets along with Jungkook and Taehyung. And of course I'm confident the babies are mine. I love Jungkook."

Sana waves to the crowd before she disappears inside.

"Well there you have it. Ms. Minatozaki is confident of the results and thinks rather highly of the other woman. Is it admiration or does she not consider the mistress a threat?"

The way the media was able to twist just a few vague words just angered me. If only they knew that those babies were conceived out of desperation and deception. I wondered what they would think about her then.

I rubbed my temples then the doorbell rang. I frowned since I wasn't expecting anyone and no one else was home.

When I opened the door, Jimin and Taehyung were standing outside with a tentative smile on their faces.

"What are you doing here so early?" I opened the door wider and stepped aside for them to enter. "I kind of expected you to be at the conference."

"What else?" Jimin entered then kissed my forehead. "We heard that the kids aren't in town. You shouldn't wait alone. You're a demon when you're anxiously waiting for something."

"Gee, thanks." I rolled my eyes but I was glad that they were here.

"The media is full of bullshit." Taehyung comments as he listens to the reporter make comments about me. "They don't even know anything about you or anyone's story other than the lies Sana's spouting."

"Sometime's one story is all that's needed. Even if they're lies" I shrugged and pulled my cardigan closer to my body. "Media doesn't care about the truth or justice. They just care about money and what best suits the scenario."

The screen changes to inside the conference room where there were dozens of reporters sitting down and waiting for Jungkook and Sana to make their appearance. I gripped my arm as the time quickly approached.

"We'll be on your side no matter what the results." Taehyung smiles.

"Even against Jungkook?"

"You know that I will be with you especially against Jungkook." Jimin winks.

"Funny because you're the one who helped her with the plan." I said lightheartedly.

"If it wasn't me then it would've just been someone else anyways." He shrugged and we sat down at the couch.

"What are you going to do if the test ends up positive?" Taehyung asks.

"Want me to be honest with you?" They both nodded. "Last night, I kind of spoke about it with Jungkook. If there is no other choice then he would marry Sana for a year then divorce her. If not then he'll break it off and announce our relationship but I'm not looking forward to revealing our relationship right after everything that's happened."

"That's expected." Jimin nods his head. "All the media will turn against you."

"But he'll marry Sana?" Taehyung scoffs. "If he loves you then he shouldn't marry her... Ever. He should fight until the end because if I were him I would rather wait and fight to the end."

"That's sweet Taehyung, really. But this is reality." I frowned. "When you're in a position like his, it's not easy." I paused for a moment and watched the head of the PR department step onto the stage to make his introduction. "He expects me to raise the babies."

"He what?!" They both shouted and turned their heads from the tv to me.

"I don't think I can do it." I muttered. "Does it make me a bad girlfriend?" I looked at Jimin. "How were you able to do it? You were willing to take care of the twins for me. In comparison to you, I look like shit."

"We were in completely different situations." Jimin argues. "We didn't know who the father was, but you know it's Sana and that she only got pregnant to have Jungkook. I didn't care much about what my mother thought of us, but you have Jihyun and Ji Ae to consider. They're children, they won't understand or like it."

"Even so, it's not the baby's fault-"

"No stop." Taehyung cuts in. "Yes, it's not the baby's fault. Yes, there may be a possibility that you may like them. But never should you sacrifice your happiness for someone else."

"You've gotten very wise since the last time I came back to Korea." Jimin smirks at Taehyung.

"Because this is a very serious issue." Taehyung frowns. "One of our friends may be forced to marry, and the other will have to watch from the dark. Do you want that for them?"

"Obviously not." Jimin's smirk turns into a frown and the head of the PR department introduces Jungkook to the stage.

We all turned our focus onto the screen and Jugkook walked onto the stage with a stern look on his face. He looked as if he had barely gotten any sleep last night. He was pale and had dark circles under his eyes.

I guess that I had contributed to part of that.

He stood at the center of the stage and was holding a mic. He looks at the reporters in the crowd first before speaking. "My name is Jeon Jungkook, I'm the President of Silver Enterprises. Welcome all of you here and those who may be watching at home. Today the results regarding whether or not Sana is pregnant with my child will be revealed."

Before he even had a second to speak, reporters started shouting out questions at him.

"What were your reasons for commissioning a paternity test?"
"Do you secretly wish that the results are negative?"
"Is it true that you already have children?"
"If the results are positive, are you going to marry Sana? What are your future plans?"

Jungkook gives the reporters some time to throw out their questions before he spoke, "My future plans do not concern anyone until the results are revealed." Jungkook turns to the left of the stage. "On that note, Minatozaki Sana will now join me on stage so we can reveal the results."

The camera maneuvers to Sana who walked into the room. They followed her onto the stage when she stood right next to Jungkook and looked at him with a smile. I noticed Chan and Avery standing next to each other at the bottom of the stage. They had the definition of disgust on their face.

"Thank you all for coming to this wonderful day." Sana says into her own mic. "I'm so happy that we get to reveal the results of the test with all of you. Whatever the results are, I hope you can support us."

My phone vibrated and I received a text from Avery.

Avery:
>What a fake

Y/N:
You should hide your expression better, we can see you on screen lol<

Avery:
>Who cares
>Let the whole world know I hate Sana
>It's not like I'm trying to hide it

"Now let's reveal the results." Jungkook says.

The results get brought in by Jungkook's intern secretary, Secretary Moon. He put the file under the projector that showed everything on the large screen behind Jungkook and Sana.

I reached out to squeeze the nearest hand which was Jimin and Taehyung reached to squeeze mine. We all waited in anticipation as the secretary removed the results from the folder and placed it under the projector.

I quickly skimmed through it until I found the results.

Everyone gasped and my heart stopped at the four words.

Probability of Paternity: 99.98%

I sucked in a deep breath and I could feel the tears pooling to my eyes. Jimin pulls me to him and hugs me. I steadily controlled my breathing and continued to stare at the screen.

I wasn't going to cry over this. I wasn't going to let her win. Crying would only mean defeat.

Taehyung stood up furiously and kicked the coffee table. "Fuck." He swore and started dialing numbers. Taehyung walked into the bathroom but we could hear his shouts and orders to the company from here. "Shut the screen right now! Tell them we're suing all the fucking people who tries to make any reports related to the results and Jungkook. I don't care if it was live! Yes, and whoever tries to slander Y/N."

Jungkook stood staring at the screen in shock and Sana had a bright smile on her face that hid the sly smirk beneath it. Reporters start shouting out questions again asking when they planned on getting married and the next steps of their relationship.

Through all the reporters questions, I could still hear Avery's cusses loud and clear.

"You cheated didn't you? You fake the results!" Avery shouted and tried to climb onto stage, but Chan held her back. "You've always been a snake! There is no way Mr. Jeon would sleep with a guy like you even if he had amnesia! Do another paternity test!"

I could see all the thoughts running through Jungkook's head as he stared at the screen speechless. I could see the despair, but also wonder that broke my heart.

When he finally gained his composure, he turned back to the reporters. "We will answer questions another day, thank you all for coming."

He tried to shut down the conference, but Sana grabbed onto his arm and spoke into the mic. "Kookie, but they're already here. We should answer a few of their questions for them."

Jungkook lowers his mic and makes what seemed like a threat to Sana. She made a comment back and Jungkook's hand that was holding the mic started to shake. He retorts back but Sana is ready to fire back.

Jungkook clenches his jaw then addresses the reporters. "There have been talks about having the wedding before the end of the year, or after the children are born." He glares at Sana. "However, nothing is official."

Jungkook walks off the stage and Avery glares at Sana before following Jungkook out with Chan, demanding answers from him.

My ears started ringing and a tear rolled down my cheek.

"Y/N." Jimin whispered, but he didn't say anything to comfort me.

Saying that everything will be fine was a lie. It'll only make things worse. It was all just false hope anyways.

Taehyung walked out of the bathroom with his eyes blazing, but they softened when they saw me. "Y/N."

But I still say it anyways, "I'll be fine."

Jimin's arm tightens around me and I rested my head on his shoulder, allowing the two of them to silently comfort me. Taehyung sits on my other side and strokes my head.

"Like he said. Nothing is official. We just have to wait." Taehyung said.

My phone rings and I lift my head. Taehyung grabbed it off the coffee table and handed it over to me. I answered it once I saw my mother's name.

"Y/N, I'm sorry." She said.

"No... It's fine." I whispered. Then in the background, I could hear crying and my heart started racing. "Mom... Why are the kids crying."

"I'm sorry. They were watching Miraculous Ladybug, but it must've been over because they turned on the news."

Jungkook

My employee's congratulated me as I walked through the office.

I didn't know what to make of it. Couldn't they tell that I didn't want to be congratulated? But at the same time, I was hopeful? For being able to experience the times I missed with Jihyun and Ji Ae.

Y/N wasn't going to like this. The kids won't like it either. Y/N made that very clear last night.

Her words frightened me and I couldn't sleep at all. I could only hold her in my arms and watch her sleep. I was scared that she would run if I had let her go. She did so with Jimin. It only means that she'll do so again.

My mind was spiraling when I walked into my office, Avery and Chan right behind me. I could feel the tension rolling off the two of them, and the anger from Avery.

"I know you're my boss but please excuse my rudeness." Avery glares at me. "What the fuck?! You told them that you were going to get married soon?"

"Avery, you shouldn't say that." Chan whispers to her but she ignores him.

"4 months. 4 months! You promised them at least 4 months and when that time comes they're going to start questioning you even more."

"You think I don't know that?!" I snapped at her then leaned against my desk. I was reminded of my little conversation that I had with Sana on stage.

"What the fuck do you think you're doing?" I whispered to her. "The results were what you wanted, aren't you already satisfied?"

"Not the slightest." She smirks. "I know that Y/N is probably watching the conference right now, isn't she? There's no way she would miss this."

"So what?" I clenched my jaw.

"Tell them that we're getting married. You promised my parents that we would marry by the end of the year."

"What in the world would possibly make you tell them that we're getting married?"

"Those brats." She whispers. "I have pictures of the four of you together as a 'family'. How cute. If I release them to the press, then the media will follow the three of them like a hound. They'll never get a day of rest and thousands of nasty articles will be all about them. Tell them we're getting married and I'll drop the topic... For now."

"I'm backed into the corner. There is nothing else I can do." I seethed. "Everything was broadcasted, everyone knows the truth."

"Get another paternity test." Avery pushed on. "She must've done something to fake it. You know her! She was way too confident in the results."

"What difference would it make?" I raised my voice. "People will just question the results of that test and say that it was just because I didn't want to be the father."

"DO YOU?!" She demands. "Do you want to be the father?" I didn't respond and Chan started tugging on her arm telling her to stop. "Did you feel delighted with the thought of being a father all over again? Did you imagine holding those tiny babies in your arms? At that moment, what did you think?"

"I'm your boss." I deflected the question.

"What did you think?!" She repeated.

"You shouldn't raise your voice at me."

"What. Did. You. Think." Avery didn't let down.

"That I was happy to be able to experience fatherhood!" I gave her the answer that she so badly wanted.

Her eyes widened and she looked around the room then grabbed a book off my shelf then threw it at me, but it missed. "You motherfucker! You know, sometimes I don't see what Y/N likes about you. You already have two kids that have always wanted a father. Are you going to disappoint them now? Make them fatherless once again?"

"That will never happen." I snapped.

"Bullshit."

"Speak to me like that again and I'll fire you." I threatened.

"Fire me!" She laughs. "Then fire me! I wouldn't want to work for a person who doesn't even try. Who doesn't even fight for what he wants. Fire me and make Y/N hate you even more!"

"You're fired." I narrowed my eyes at her.

Avery smiles then removes her employee badge and throws it at me. It hits my chest then drops to the floor. "I wouldn't be shocked if all your friends turned their backs on you. You take the easy way out. Y/N and the kids may have their times of being weak, but they're stronger than you think. They may choose to fight or walk away, and I wouldn't be surprised if they chose the latter."

Avery turns to walk out of my office with her middle finger in the air. Chan looked horrified and nodded his head at me before following his girlfriend out.

I ran my hand through my hair then I pulled out my phone to call Y/N. I needed to assure her that I wasn't planning on marrying Sana.

I waited and waited, but the call was sent to voicemail. I tried to call her again, but the results were the same.

I tried to call Jimin or Taehyung, knowing that they were probably with her if they hadn't shown up to the press conference.

"What the hell were you thinking?" Taehyung greeted me.

"Where is Y/N." I asked. "Why isn't she picking up my calls?"

"Y/N left."

I stood up straight and my heart thrummed in my heart thrummed in my chest. "Where did she go?"

"To Busan." I let myself relax since the kids were in Busan.

"OK thanks. I'll head-"

"No." Taehyung said with a stern voice. "The kids know and I doubt they would want to see you. Just give them some space."

"You're telling me to stay away from my girlfriend and my kids." I argued.

"Because that's what they need. Not everything's about you, Jungkook."

Taehyung hung up on me and I sat down at my desk. Am I making the right choice?

People kept on asking me to make the test negative, but where's the fun in that? 😌
