Y/N

My hands trembled as Jimin's mother stormed in our direction. I stepped in front of the kids and straightened my back.

"It's never pleasant to see you again Mrs. Park." I said and the kids got off their cars and clung to my legs.

They knew plenty about Mrs. Park after trying to secretly listen to our phone calls and my nights raging about her.

"I told you that if you ever return to Korea to never see my son again." She glares at me then at the kids who were behind me.

"I didn't seek out Jimin. He found me."

"Mother so you admit that you were the one who sent Y/N away?" Jimin glares at his mother and stepped in front of all of us, putting a barrier between his mother and I. "You told me that she left on her own, that she didn't want me to be burdened by having kids."

Mrs. Park's eyes turned to her son and she spoke softly. "I didn't lie Jimin, Y/N did leave on her own. She decided to leave because she didn't want your reputation to be hurt and for an opportunity."

"She wouldn't have left if you had suggested it." Jimin raised his voice and Mrs. Park flinched. Jimin was a filial son, the only times he went against his mother was when we were dating and he had never raised his voice at her.

"I only helped her get into her dream school and start a new life abroad." She tries to twist the truth with her words. "Isn't she very successful now? She had worked with one of the biggest companies in America, and I paid for her mansion."

"You may have, but I gave back every single cent." I pointed out.

"Mother you may have thought that you were doing the right thing, but at the expense of your son's happiness?" Jimin clenched his fists and I placed a hand on his arm.

"If she hadn't left then you wouldn't have fell for Rose!" Mrs. Park raises her voice and takes a step forward but falters when Jimin narrows his eyes at her. "If she stayed by your side then she would have dragged you down with those bastard children. Do you even know who the father is?"

"Bastard children?!" I shouted and a few bystanders stared at us.

"I'm only giving Rose a shot because Y/N told me to move on, not because she left. If we haven't met then I would still be searching for her around the world." Jimin says sternly. "And yes mother, I know who the father is. I am pissed but I couldn't be happier for them. If it's Y/N and the children's father then they deserve happiness."

"Staying by her side will only get you hurt." She snapped. "Jimin, I forbid you from seeing her again and quickly marry Rose."

"You hurt me after sending her away. There is nothing that will make me listen to you anymore mother. I am a grown man, I can make my own decisions. I'm not going to hide behind your skirt anymore." Jimin shakes his head. "This isn't the first time Y/N and I have met mother and it won't be the last. We both may be with someone else but I'll still love Y/N and I'll stay by her side even if I have to be a friend."

"I will always love Jimin, he'll always have a place in my heart. Don't say that I don't love him." I stepped forward and Jimin looks down at me with a soft look in his eyes. "That love may not be the same, yes, but I'll never purposely hurt him." I looked up at him and smiled. "Jimin, we need to head back. They're probably wondering where we are and the kids are here too, they shouldn't see this."

"Right." Jimin sighs and gives one last look to his mother. "You got what you wanted, Y/N and I can never be together again but you can't stop me from staying by her side. I let you control my life too far."

Jimin turns and starts to walk away. The kids follow him in their cars and I stayed behind looking at Mrs. Park.

"I will never forget what you've done to Jimin and I. You put us through years of hell and torment just to get what you want without asking your son if that was what he wants. You wanted him to be happy? Money isn't happiness, and because you chose money you had put him through 7 years of hell." I glanced back at my children who were stepping back into their cars and Jimin was waiting with them, watching us. "I'm a mother too now, I know what it feels like to want the best for your children. However, I will not force a decision on them just so I can fulfil my own wishes."

I left Mrs. Park standing there looking furious and guilty and returned to the villa with Jimin and the kids.

When we got to the villa, Ina shot up from her seat. "There you are!"

"Where are the others?" I looked around to find the villa mostly empty.

"They went looking for you." She waddled over and pulled me to the back where Hansol and Chan were already grilling some meat.

"Why didn't they just call?" I muttered. Ina sat down and looked exhausted. I sympathized with her, when I was nine months pregnant I could barely walk from one end of the hall to the other without getting tired.

"Mr. Jeon freaked out when he found out you guys were missing."

"I'll call him right now." I walked to the side and dialed Jungkook's number. He picked up after the first ring.

"Where are you?" I could hear the panic in his voice.

"I'm back at the villa." I answered. "Sorry we left without telling you, the kids were already driving away and there was no time."

"He didn't do anything to you right? You and the kids are fine?"

He meaning Jimin and I sighed. "Yes I'm fine. We just went around the city, going through a bit of memory lane that's all."

"That's good." He lets out a breath. "I'll tell the others and return to the villa."

"Better hurry, they're starting to grill the meat. A pregnant lady, and two meat loving kids may eat it all before you return." I joked and Jungkook laughs, I felt relieved that he was no longer tense.

"Then I better hurry back. See you soon."

"Love you." I hung up the phone and walked back to the table we set up and already saw the kids and Ina digging in to some ribs. "I hope we have enough meat for everyone."

"We can always buy more." Ina muffles and takes another bite. "Nothing's wrong with too much meat."

"It's hard to believe you went vegetarian for a year after seeing you eat like this." I grimaced and took a seat.

Not too long after, the others start coming back after their wild search and Avery wouldn't stop nagging me about leaving without telling anyone until I pointed out the meat was being devoured by the second.

Everyone was happy enjoying the barbecue, eating and talking. Taehyung came back outside with bottles of Jungkook's good wine which he reluctantly let everyone drink.

Avery and Taehyung had a drinking contest and Avery won with a landslide. She didn't even look drunk after 8 cups of some of the stronger wines.

"Luckily I'm driving." Ina sighs. "A pregnant lady shouldn't be driving with three drunk passengers though."

"Three drunk passengers won't even equal a drunk Taehyung." Jimin shakes his head to Taehyung who was singing, using a eaten rib bone as a mic.

"Ji Ae, Jihyun, this is daddy's aunt and uncle." Jungkook introduces the kids to the old couple. "They're the ones who raised me and took care of me."

"He really looks like Jungkook." Mrs. Jeon gasps and touches Jihyun's face. "How old are you?"

"We're 7 now!" Ji Ae exclaims and Mr. Jeon lifts her up. "You look like a very lovely girl."

"She got it from her mother." Jungkook smiles at me and I lean against him.

"Why don't you come play with aunty and uncle?" They take our kids away and join the others.

I take Jungkook into the villa to get the cake. I pulled the cakes out of the fridge and started placing candles on it. "The kids look very happy today." Jungkook says and lights the candles.

"They're surrounded by people who love them on their birthday, why wouldn't they be?" I smiled and grabbed the chocolate cake, Ji Ae's favorite, while Jungkook grabbed the vanilla, Jihyun's favorite. "Before their birthdays used to be small, only with a few friends. The only gifts they would get were from my parents and myself. All this is new for them."

"From now on they'll have the best birthdays ever." Jungkook promises and we brought the cake to the rest of the group. We all sang happy birthday and cut a piece of each cake for everyone.

The twins decided to test out their new cameras and snapped a picture of everyone.

"Mommy, daddy, say cheese." Jihyun lifted the camera Taehyung had given them and pointed it at us. I kissed Jungkook's cheeks and he smiled, then the flash went off. "Bleh, too lovey."

"We're your parents! We can't act that way?" I frowned and he shook his head.

"There's children here!" He sticks out his tongue and goes to take more pictures.

After eating cake, Ina left with her husband, Avery, and Chan. The twins played with firecrackers with Jimin and Taehyung and Jungkook was talking with his aunt and uncle.

I chatted with my mom on the phone who was at the hospital with my father. They had already wished the twins a happy birthday in the morning before we left Seoul.

"The doctors say that your father is showing improvement. They say he may be cured soon." My mother tells me and I couldn't help but smile.

"That's great, I can get the kids and you can tell them."

"We don't want to give them false hope too soon. Anything can happen."

"I see." I frowned. "I won't tell them but I hope you'll give them good news soon."

"Of course."

"Y/N!" Taehyung shouts and waves a firecracker.

"You should play with the others." My mother advises. "It's not everyday where you can play with your kids and friends."

"Bye mom, dad." I gave them a small smile and hung up.

We played with all the firecrackers and then Taehyung pulled out the bigger fireworks. We all stood from a far as he lights it up and runs back towards us.

Fireworks shot into the sky and the kids stared with their jaws dropped. Jungkook and I sat on the sand and pulled our kids onto our laps. "Happy birthday kids. we're glad you were born."

When we put the kids to sleep, Mr. and Mrs. Jeon had left. Jimin and Taehyung stayed behind to help clean up. After we sat in the living room and drank.

"I'll make an exception." I say when Taehyung offers me a glass.

"You know it's funny." Taehyung says. "I don't think that any of us expected that we would be here celebrating the kids birthday and get along with each other only a few weeks ago."

"I'm sure that none of us expected to be in this position in the first place." Jungkook adds and we had no choice but to agree. Jungkook reaches out for my hand and I held it. "It might have changed our lives forever but I am happy it turned out this way."

"Me too." I smiled behind my glass of wine. "I'm glad that we're all here together."

The four of us had finished two bottles of wine, Jimin drank a small amount so he could drive but Taehyung and Jungkook went full out.

"Are they always like this when you go out to drink?" I turned to Jimin who was now drinking water.

"Yea, to them it's go big or go home." Jimin chuckles then stares at Jungkook like he suddenly remembered something.

"Jimin!!!!" Taehyung screeches loudly almost making us deaf. "JIMIN! Where's the Cabernet."

"You finished it." Jimin sighs and helps Taehyung stand after he stumbles onto the floor. "I'll take him home." He looks back to me with hesitation. It looked like he had something important to say. Taehyung heaves and Jimin sighs.

"Take him home, you can tell me another day." I suggested and he nods.

Jimin leaves the villa with Taehyung and when they drive off I went back inside and took care of the rest. I threw out the bottles and put the glasses in the sink. I went back to the living room and made Jungkook lean against me then helped him to our room.

"Did you have to drink so much that you couldn't walk properly?" I complained and dragged him up the stairs.

I sit Jungkook on the bed and he smiles up at me. I raise an eyebrow at him and he wraps his arms around my waist, his hand slipping under my shirt and sliding upwards sending chills down my spine.

"Jungkook." I breathed out and he places butterfly kisses all over my stomach.

"I still think that giving the twins a sibling would be the best birthday present." He mutters and I bite my lip when his hand crept up my waist. His hands stopped right on my shoulder before his head tips downward and he falls asleep.

I rolled my eyes then grabbed a clean shirt and pants to get Jungkook changed before going to take a shower.

After my shower, I slipped into bed and Jungkook reaches over and hugs me. I thought about what happened earlier and what Jimin wanted to say. He looked urgent, I wonder what he wanted to talk about.
