Yawning, I snuggled deeper into the covers, gladly accepting the heat that encased me. "Baby, are you awake?" Zander whispered softly.

"Yeah." I said, turning around to look at him. He looked so gorgeous, especially with his messy bed hair.

"Gorgeous aye?" He said, smirking at me.

I furrowed my eyebrows, "Wait, what? How did you hear that?" I asked, wondering if I had thought aloud.

"After the marking process, we can start to hear each other's thoughts." He said, eyeing the place on my neck where he had marked me.

I blushed as he placed a kiss on my mark, hiding my face in the crook of his neck. His chuckle echoed around the room as he pulled me closer.

"You need to talk to Sophia today. She's got some important things she needs to tell you." He said, rubbing soothing circles on my back.

I sighed, "I know, I have to apologise to her about storming out yesterday too."

"She knows it was a lot to take in Iris, she won't be upset." He reassured me.

Nodding, I smiled and kissed him before getting out of the bed and walking into the bathroom. I blew him a kiss whilst I was at the door and he shot me a breathtaking smile. Closing the door, I checked it was locked before stripping and jumping into the shower.

I scrubbed my body before turning off the water and stepping out, wrapping a fluffy towel around my body before heading out of the bathroom and towards the closet.

Just as I was about to open the walk-in-closet, two arms grabbed my hips and pulled me into a rock hard chest. "Zander, I have to get ready" I whined, wiggling my body to get out of his vice hold.

"Can't I get a kiss?" He said, turning me around and smirking.

"Hmm," I said, pretending to think. "Nope!" I stated quickly.

I ran into the closet giggling and closed the door, as he stood there with a shocked expression on his face. Looking around, I picked out a T-shirt and some jeans. My hair had dried partly so I decided to leave it to dry naturally.

Once I was ready, I walked into the room, only to be attacked with Zander's kisses. "What are you doing?" I laughed, wrapping my arms around his neck as he continued to kiss all over my face.

"What? Aren't I allowed to give my baby kisses?" He chuckled, letting me go.

"You're so cute. I really do wonder how you're the biggest and scariest Alpha out there." I said, laughing when I saw the fake glare he was sending me. I was quickly quietened as he pushed me into the wall, holding both of his hands on either side of my head.

"I can be intimidating if I want to be, baby." He growled out playfully, nipping my ear.

"Oh you can?" I asked back, smirking.

"You know I can." He whispered.

"Then catch me." I whispered back, ducking under his arm and running out of our room and down the staircase.

I heard a low growl close behind and squealed, running into the closest room and finding Logan and Lawson stood up, playing on the Nintendo Wii.

"Help!" I screamed, jumping behind them, using them as my personal shield.

"Fuck, don't scream that loud, my ears are bleeding." Logan answered, dramatically covering his ears.

"Oh shut up, don't tell Zander I'm here!" I whispered, just as he walked in the room.

"She's not here bro." Lawson said, as soon as he looked in Zander's direction.

"Oh? So why is her scent coming from behind you two?" He replied, his smirk dripping into every word.

"Sucks to be you then Iris." Logan said, stepping away.

"Hey! You're supposed to lie!" I exclaimed, running to hide behind him again.

I heard chuckles and looked over Logan's shoulder to see Lawson and Zander laughing. Almost as if they thought they could do better at hiding from an Alpha.

"Come on, baby. You need to go to see Sophia." Zander said, grabbing me swiftly and putting me over his shoulder.

"You don't need to get all big bad wolf on me." I said, pinching his butt.

"She do be kinky though." I heard Logan mutter, laughing to himself.

"Shut up, Logan" I snorted, rolling my eyes.

Zander carried me out to the car and fastened me in, despite me arguing that I was not a five year old and I could do it myself. "I just want to make sure you're safe." He defended, which he knew made my heart melt.

Eventually, we arrived at a clearing. I looked at Zander with a brow raised. "This is the part where you kill me, right?" I asked.

"This is where Sophia wanted to meet you. I'll wait here and let you talk." He said, leaning over to give me a quick kiss.

"Oh, okay." I smiled at him before climbing out and walking closer to the middle of the clearing, making sure I was still in sight of Zander.

"Iris White" I heard an unfamiliar voice say, causing me to jump and turn around inhumanly fast.

I didn't know what shocked me more, the fact that there was three women floating in mid-air or that the one in the middle looked so similar to me.

"Who are you?" I questioned, taking in the unusual intricate silk cloaks they were dressed in.

"We are The Widows, child." The one who resembled myself said, floating down until she stood in front of me.

"Wait, what?" I choked out, shock rushing through my body. "So that means..." I trailed off, staring at the woman with wide eyes.

"That I'm your Mother." She whispered, smiling at me.
