I wake up to a pounding headache. I groan and sit up on the bed I am in. Wait bed? Where is Jake? Where am I? Right as these thoughts pass through my head I hear footsteps outside the door. My heartbeat picks up and I pull the blanket closer to me in seek of comfort. "Well, well, well, look who decided to wake up." I squeeze my eyes shut seeing my brother and father outside the door. "Oh stop your cowering girl. We could smell your fear from downstairs." It was then that I realized I was back at my fathers pack. "You can leave father, I'll take care of this disgrace." With that my father walks away leaving me with my hate filled brother. 

     He shuts the door, making sure to lock it before making his way over to me. I flinch as he sits on the edge of my bed, uncomfortably close to me. He grabs my hands and I try pulling away but it's to no use. "Juliet please listen to me, I need your help." This really confuses me and I look up at him, what is he talking about? I look into his eyes and see his desperation and helplessness. 

     I nod my head, trying to tell him to continue. "He took my mate from me." He says, his voice cracking. "The day after you left another pack visited and she came with them. I instantly fell in love with her. Father acted supportive the whole time that her pack was here and those were the best days of my life. But then as soon as her pack left father took her from me and gave her to some rogues. I tried every attempt to get her back but it all ended in failure. Father says she will make me weak." I can tell he is trying his hardest not to cry right now. "He also started abusing me like we did to you. I know this doesn't mean anything. But I am so sorry for everything that I put you through, it was all the pressure he was putting on me." I continue to stare at him tentatively. I know I can't fully trust him after everything he put me through. And how am I supposed to help him get his mate back? 
 

     "This is where you come in. You happen to be mated to one of the most powerful alphas in the world." And from there he continues to tell me how his plan will pan out. 

     "So what do you think?" He asks. I nod, saying I will go along with it. I know I can't fully trust him, but if all goes right I will end back up with my mate. The only reason my father wanted me back here was so that he could kill me at his hands to prove some kind of point. So my brother decided it would be best to fake my death. 

Alpha Jake's P.O.V.

     My office is in pieces and so is my heart. He took my mate from me right in front of me. I saw him take her and I couldn't stop him. I was already injured and didn't have enough strength to get to her in time. This thought alone once again causes me to burst out in anger and throw a vase of flowers I had got for her onto the ground. 

     My door bursts open and in runs my beta. "Alpha, you need to calm down. We will find your mate. But first we need you to calm down. The pack is doing everything they can to find her, but we need your help."
