Being like this with Grayson feels so weird.

It's the first time we've never tried insulting each other, and as he stares down at me, I realize I sort of like not fighting with him.

Maybe we can be friends.

I gently pull my hands out of Grayson's grasp and wipe my eyes.

"Thank you," I whisper once I'm sure I'm not going to cry again. God, I'm so fucking emotional today.

"You don't have to keep thanking me," Grayson smirks. "I already told you I don't mind helping you."

"I know," I smile.

"Are you good to go back now?" Grayson asks.

"Yeah," I sigh, "I think I'm good."

Grayson nods and pulls the door open and I follow him out.

When we walk back into the living room everyone turns to look at us.

"Took you long enough," Joslyn arches an eyebrow.

"Leave them be," Rebekah smirks. "There's no way they did anything. It's only been like five minutes. And they were too quiet."

"You're such an idiot," I laugh, rolling my eyes.

Grayson goes and sits on the couch next to Devyn and Leia. I debate going to sit by Aria but decide it's probably best if I sit with my boyfriend.

I walk around the couch and sit next to Grayson, who scoots over to make room for me.

"Thanks," I murmur so only he can hear.

"Mhm," he hums.

I look over at Devyn and Leia, only to see them having a conversation only the two of them are a part of.

This probably looks really bad that Grayson and I aren't talking at all.

Hesitantly, I intertwine my fingers with Grayson's. He turns to look at me with a puzzled expression, so I flick my eyes to Devyn and Leia. He nods in understanding and then gently squeezes my hand. I squeeze back and rest my head on his shoulder.

"Okay, I don't know what the fuck is going on with you two," Rebekah looks back and forth between me and Grayson, "but you're both awkward as fuck. It's embarrassing. There's no way you're together."

"I'm sure it's just because they just started dating, Bex," Joslyn mumbles, but she doesn't look like she believes what she's saying. Still, I shoot her a grateful smile.

"So why did you two start dating?" Leia suddenly asks. "I mean, you two have never gotten along, and now you're together?"

"Actually—"

"I don't think they need a reason to be together," Aria cuts Devyn off and glares at him.

What the fuck was he going to say?

"Yeah," Devyn mumbles, quickly looking down.

"Oh," Leia murmurs, looking back and forth between my siblings.

"You know what?" I ask, getting up. "I think I'm tired. I'm going to bed. Good night."

I quickly walk to my room and lock the door behind me.

A couple of seconds later, there's a knock on the door. Perfect, just what I need.

I slowly unlock the door and see Grayson staring at me.

"You know you don't always have to follow me now," I smirk.

"Don't flatter yourself," Grayson smirks back. "Your friends feel the need to keep telling me that I should go check on my girlfriend."

"Of course, they do," I roll my eyes.

I step to the side and Grayson comes in, flopping down in the middle of my bed.

"Where am I going to lay?" I whine.

"Next to me," he smirks.

"There's no room next to you," I mutter.

Grayson rolls his eyes and goes to roll over, but forgets how small my bed is, and rolls right off the side.

I clamp a hand over my mouth to keep from laughing, but it doesn't work. I laugh so hard my eyes tear up.

"Yeah, yeah," Grayson growls, rubbing his head. "Laugh all you want."

"Are you okay?" I gasp between my laughs.

"Fine," he grumbles, hoisting himself back onto my bed, leaving enough room for me to sit next to him this time.

I move to sit next to him and bite my lip to keep the laughter in. He just frowns at me.

"I'm sorry," I giggle. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine," Grayson pouts.

Without thinking, I reach out and rub my hand over the back of his head.

He flinches and I gasp, "Grayson. There's a huge bump. Does it hurt?"

"I said I'm fine," he mumbles.

"Do you need me to kiss it better?" I murmur, trying to hold my laugh back.

"No," he whines. "I'm fine. Just leave me and my bump alone."

"Are you sure you—"

Grayson cuts me off by pushing me off the other side of the bed.

"Ow," I grumble, grabbing the back of my head.

That fucking hurt.

"Hurts, don't it?" Grayson smirks.

"That hurt," I groan, but immediately start laughing again.

"I don't see how this is funny," he sighs.

"Friends don't push each other off of beds," I gasp between laughs.

"You push Aria off things all of the time," Grayson raises his eyebrows at me. "Usually chairs."

"That's different," I giggle. "We're twins. You're supposed to be my boyfriend."

"Fake boyfriend," he smiles. "And only when we're in front of people. No one's here right now."

"Still," I sigh.

"Well, maybe you shouldn't have laughed at me," he huffs.

I burst out laughing again.

A few seconds later, Devyn opens the door and raises his eyebrows when he looks down at me, still laughing.

"Why are you on the ground?" He chuckles.

"Grayson pushed me," I squeak.

"Because you laughed at me!" Grayson puts in.

"You pushed her because she laughed at you?" Devyn shakes his head.

"He fell off the bed," I laugh so hard, I start crying.

Devyn looks back and forth between the two of us, clearly amused before he shakes his head and turns around. "I'll let you two figure this out," he chuckles.

When he walks out, I turn to face Grayson.

"No more laughing?" He asks.

"No more pushing me off of beds?" I smirk.

"Deal," he grumbles.

"Deal," I grin, climbing into the bed.
