Devyn and Grayson are acting weird as fuck. Grayson is glaring at Devyn, who keeps smirking at me.

"Why the fuck are you doing that?" I demand when Devyn smirks again.

"Doing what?" He smiles innocently.

"And why are you all pissed off?" I nod at Grayson.

"I'm not," he snaps.

"Sure," I raise my eyebrows. "And I'm not the prettiest girl on the planet."

"You're really not," Grayson narrows his eyes at me.

"Yes, I am," I pout.

"You think you're funny?" Grayson growls.

"I think I'm hilarious," I smile sweetly at him.

"I think you are, too," Devyn laughs hard.

"Well, thank you," I say, patting his head. "Now, tell me, why are you two being weird?"

"We're not," Grayson shakes his head and rolls his eyes.

"Yeah," I murmur. "You're not. You're always mad. He is. He's laughing like someone just told him the funniest joke."

"Well, maybe I did tell the funniest joke," Grayson fires back. "If you leave, we can go back to our conversation."

"I want to hear the funny joke," I pout. "I'm not leaving."

Just then, Aria comes walking back in and tosses my phone to me. "Your phone is blowing up," she mumbles.

I quickly unlock it to see a bunch of notifications from messages and Instagram. That's probably not good.

I open messages first. They're all from Jack, Debbie, and Hugo. Fuck.

Jack: I can't believe you. After everything you've already done, you're still trying to make this worse.

Debbie: You're fucking insane. I can see why Jack dumped you.

The one from Hugo is the worst.

Hugo: Good luck trying to get another guy now.

What did he do?

"Are you okay?" Aria asks gently. I forgot they were here.

I quickly rub my eyes and shrug, "Have you been on Instagram lately?"

Aria, Grayson, and Devyn immediately pull out their phones.

Aria's soft gasp is the only indication that she's seen whatever has been posted.

Devyn grabs the phone from Aria. "That sick bitch," he snarls, passing the phone to Grayson, who clenches his jaw.

"How'd you find out?" Aria whispers.

"I didn't," I murmur, handing her my phone so she can see the texts. "I don't know what they posted, and I don't want to find out."

Aria looks like she's going to be sick, and quickly passes the phone to Devyn. Devyn reads the messages before giving my phone to Grayson.

"I don't see the point in doing that," Aria murmurs after a few minutes.

"He's just pissed off, I guess," I mumble.

"So now you need to get a boyfriend," Devyn mutters.

I turn to look at him like he's just lost his mind. "What the hell makes you think I want another boyfriend right now?"

But he just shakes his head. "Hugo's text said good luck trying to get another guy. So if you start dating someone, everything he's trying to do won't matter. It'll piss him off more."

"I guess you're right," I whisper. "But who in the hell would be willing to date me with everything—"

"It doesn't—never mind." Devyn looks away thoughtfully.

"What if Grayson did," Aria suggests.

"What?" Grayson and I say in unison.

"Yeah definitely not," Devyn argues halfheartedly.

"Why not?" Aria raises her eyebrows. "He knows what's going on. I'm sure he'd be willing to do it. You guys already spend so much time together anyways, so what difference would it make?"

"I'm right here," Grayson mutters.

"Yeah, see?" Aria says. "And, Jack and Hugo hate him. It'll piss them off even more."

"I think it's a good idea," Devyn says hesitantly.

When I give him a look that says he's crazy, he sighs and continues. "As much as I hate the idea of my best friend dating my sister, I think it's probably best. Or you could just pretend to date?"

I open my mouth to argue, but nothing comes out. I turn to look at Grayson for help, but he's staring at Devyn.

"How about Devyn and I leave and you guys talk about it?" Aria asks, grabbing Devyn's arm and pulling him out of the room.

When the door closes, Grayson turns to look at me again.

"You didn't argue again," Grayson searches my face.

"I just want this whole thing to stop. And if this is how I have to do it, then I guess—" I sigh.

Grayson just keeps looking at me.

"I mean unless you'd rather not. I can try—"

"I'll help you," he cuts me off.

"Okay," I nod, taking a deep breath.

I study Grayson for a bit. His body is tense and he looks like he wants to leave.

"Relax, fake boyfriend. If you don't want to do this, you don't have to," I say.

He chuckles and shakes his head, as Aria opens the door.

Devyn pushes the door open when he hears Grayson laughing. "Good news?"

"Mhm," Grayson nods.

"So you're going to date? Well, pretend to date?" Aria asks.

"Yeah," I nod.

"So you're going to walk around school holding hands and giggling?" Aria smirks.

"What?" My eyes snap to Devyn, who looks like he's trying not to laugh.

"Well, you can't seriously think you guys can pretend to be dating, but never talk to each other in public," Aria points out.

"Oh, yeah," I turn to look back at Grayson.

"We'll figure something out," he murmurs thoughtfully.

"Okay," Aria grabs Devyn and walks towards the door again. "We'll give you time. Just come find us when you figure it out."

"How is this going to work?" I run my hands through my hair.

"Relax, fake girlfriend," he smirks. "We'll figure it out. I'm sure we won't have to hold hands and skip through the halls all day."

I can't stop myself from laughing.

"We only have one class together, and we don't have enough time to meet during passing period. So lunch is the only time we have to worry about," Grayson says.

"Okay," I nod.

"Are you going to tell your friends?" He mumbles after a few minutes.

"That it's fake? I'm not sure," I murmur. "I mean, I don't want to lie to them, but it's probably best if they don't know."

He nods.
