When we arrived home, Jacob was laying on the couching watching "The Conjuring", one of my favorite movies ever.

"Oh my gosh, I love The Conjuring," I exclaimed, "Can I watch it with you?"

He sat up and grinned, "Totally, no one else in the family likes horror."

"Oh my gosh, I love it!" I said excitedly as I sat down next to him.

Elizabeth pouted and laughed, "I thought you were supposed to be my twin."

I shrugged and watched as Steve and Annette smiled at us from the kitchen. It must have been exciting for them to think they had all their kids together again.

I spent the next hour watching the movie with Jacob and we made small talk about plot points throughout. We both made fun of each other when scary points came up, causing the other to jump or make a weird face. I felt a strong connection between him and I, it was easy to believe he could be my older brother.

When the movie ended we just continued to sit on the couch and talk for hours. We took turns asking each other questions about our lives and everything just came out naturally. Eventually, I looked outside the window and realized it was pitch black outside.

"Holy crap, what time is it?" I asked as I let out a large yawn.

He checked his phone and responded, "Nearly 11:30. Guess we should go to bed."

I nodded and we both stood up and headed to our rooms. I couldn't help but smile. I had never had siblings before and I always wondered what it would be like. Would I hate them? Would we be best friends? Would we argue over everything? Luckily for me, I felt like Elizabeth and Jacob loved me and I was starting to love them.

---

I woke up to the sound of my door squeaking open and someone whispering my name.

"Erika? Erika, are you up?"

I groaned and rolled over, "Huh?"

"I need to talk." I realized it was Elizabeth.

I felt her sit down on the other side of my bed and sigh, "Are you going to leave again?"

That got me awake. I sat up and rubbed my eyes, "What are you talking about?"

"Because, I really hope you don't. I really hope you stay." She rambled on, refusing to look over at me.

I reached over and grabbed her hand, "Elizabeth, what are you going on about?"

"You! I feel like you're going to leave the first chance you get and never come back. You're going to call your parents or hitch hike or steal a car and just go back to them and we'll never see you again." She worried.

I couldn't help but laugh, "You really think I would steal a car?"

The room went silent for a few moments before she burst out laughing harder than I've ever seen anyone laugh before. I started laughing at her laughter and we went on laughing for a few minutes before it fell silent again.

"I'm just really confused, you know? Like, Steve and Annette keep pushing me and saying my parents are awful people and who knows if I'm actually your sister." I admitted.

She scoffed, "Right, like the girl who looks exactly like me and has the same name as my long lost twin isn't actually my sister. You're lying to yourself if you're still in doubt."

"We just have to wait for the tests I guess. It pretty much seals my fate. If I am genetically theirs, I can't just go back and at that point, I guess I would be too pissed at my parents for lying to me all these years to even go." I explained.

She nodded, "I just really love having you here.. Everyone here is going to love you. Jacob is already happier than I've ever seen him be."

"Really?"

"Yeah, and maybe I can finally get some freedom. The past fourteen years have been all eyes on me and protecting me from being abducted too. They just sort of forget he exists." She admitted. I heard her sniffling and realized she was crying.

"Hey, Liz," I asked, "Do you want to say in here with me tonight?"

She pulled the covers off the other side of the bed and slipped in, "I'd love to. Our first sister-sleep over."

We both laughed again and continued to make small talk until we fell asleep. If I couldn't be happy and understand who my parents were, at least I knew who my siblings were.
