A/N at the end :)

It was all happening so fast. So damn fast.

One day, everything was normal. He was adapting to life, attending sessions with Doctor Jones and spending time with his Evy, and then it just changed. Overnight, the cameras, the TV reports, the people trying to contact him, the stories of him surviving people told that were false and all of the attention just blew up in his face. Everyone wanted to know Angus, the man who lived in the jungle. They wanted his story, his personal details and his status but nobody wanted to know him, Angus, as a person.

"They're offering again," Evelyn softly said as she walked into Angus' lounge room in his new apartment just inside of the city. It was small and cozy, relatively cheap but not falling apart. There was things that needed fixing, like a few doors were squeaky but in all, it was a nice apartment. Angus loved it because it was nowhere near perfect and his window opened up looking back onto a playground and large green landscape oval and it reminded him of home.

"Tell them no." Angus sighed.

Evelyn just stood there for a moment, taking in his beautiful person and fell out from reality for a moment. He was laying on the couch, his back resting on the arm rest with his legs open in front of him. His wavy hair was tied at the back in a low bun, a loose wave falling by the side of his cheek, highlighting the definition of his jawline even more. His dark brown eyes sparkled as he looked back at her, amused as she was pulled from reality but he loved how he made her forget other things in the worlds. His pride swelled and his instinct of dominance appeared as he was in her every thought at every minute. He opened his arms, inviting his Evelyn to come and comfort him. He could see the irritation on her beautiful face, the ways her eyebrows creased together and her lips weren't in their usual jolly smile. He wanted to comfort her.

At the invitation, Evelyn perked up. She loved being in his arms, the comfort he brang as she felt cocooned and caged into his protection. As usual, his body was warm as she lay next to him. She inhaled deeply, his scent resting her. After a long, very tedious hour of cologne shopping Angus has finally picked out a natural smelling cologne. It wasn't musk or smelling like chemicals, however it was soft and pretty yet at the sometime just managed to make Evelyn breathe a little bit extra around him to catch the smallest amount of the addictive smell.

"There something else." Angus observed his Evy as she spoke. He knew his Evy to well and she couldn't hide anything from him. He leant forwards and placed a kiss on her temple, the kiss lingering as she encouraged him to come forwards with whatever else was on her mind.

"There's a talk show, the Jonathon Phillip (A/N Made up TV presenter (I think) but his status is the similar to those bigish names like Jimmy Fallon) show who desperately wants you to come on. It's pre filmed, it can be with or without an audience to make you more comfortable." She informed him. Absentmidnly, Evelyn picked up Angus' hand and played with his fingers as she explained the situation.

"They're desperate for you to come on the show. I honestly thought waiting it out would let the story pass over, but the more you stay quiet the more curious they're becoming." Evelyn frowned. "I mean, it's been like what, two months since you've came here and the media are still going crazy about it."

"I know." Angus said quietly behind her. Her smaller hands and fingers trailing over his larger one provided a sense of comfort for him, his skin tingling and ticklish wherever she ran her touch over.

"There's more to this, isn't there?" Angus asked. He could tell she was still holding something back from him.

"The TV station is so determined to get you on board that they made an offer, much, much larger than the other ones." Angus used his spare hand to squeeze her hip, a sign to say he was listening.

"They'll give you a down payment of $30,000 to appear for a half an hour interview. You can set boundaries, topics they can't talk to you about. They're insisting that you do it in front of a studio audience, but if you're not comfortable with that, then you can have no audience but the down payment will be significantly less." Evelyn shifted from the place in between his legs and sat crossed legged facing him to gauge his reaction.

"Also, you'd be in for an advertisement deal. It would be a small, ten or fifteen second add promoting their channel and you'll get 3% of the profit. Three percent doesn't sound like too much, but with the statistics they sent through, you'd be making a lot of money, Gus." She watched as his eyebrows drew together.

"Should I do it?" He asked.

"It's one hundred percent up to you. If you don't mind people knowing your story, go for it. If you don't want to tell anyone, you can say no. There's no pressure on your answer from anyone."

"If I did, would Evy be there?" His heart beat had risen slightly at the thought of doing this.

"Of course, if you wanted me to be." Evelyn said, her voice steady as she looked in his eyes. "You don't need to decide now, they said they'll give you a weeks' time to make a decision.

Angus nodded his head, his mind whirling with argument for both sides flying everywhere. Instead, of answering, Angus just pulled his Evy down and into his chest, his head burring into the crook of her neck as he just held her. He grunted when he felt her readjusting to get comfortable, and that's how they spend the rest of the hour, just lying in each other's brace.

"Do you still want to go out tonight?" Evelyn asked, finally breaking the silence. "Mike will understand if you're not up for it."

"No, no, Gus, I mean I'm still wanting to go." Angus replied. Mike was returning to the city tonight from unfinished business with the expedition and as a welcoming back, he invited Evelyn and Angus to go clubbing with him. Angus was keen to go as he still had never been to a club before, and he was also yet to taste alcohol in an excessive amount. He knew you felt happy yet out of it with it, and he wanted to make sure he was still functioning to make sure his Evy was okay at every given moment.

"Okay," Evelyn smiled, tilting her head leaning on his torso and kissing under his chin. It was as high up as she could get without straining her neck. A small smile appeared on Angus' lips from the sweet affection and he squeezed her tighter briefly.

"Do I have to wear shoes?" Angus asked, his nose scrunching up in distaste at the confining clothing article. When Evelyn burst into laughter, he knew his chances of having to wear them were extremely high. He cursed to the women in the sky about the stupid contraptions.

Sorry that it's really short but I wanted to give you all something! I've been so busy with school and I'm preparing for my week filled with SAC's, but I should hopefully have another one up within in the week. Thanks to those sticking around and patiently waiting for updates, you all mean the world to me xx

Okay, so I've gotten a few questions about the ages of the characters and thought I'd clear it up.

Angus is currently 26. He was shipwrecked at birth, and lived with his parents on the island until he was 13. After their death, he lived alone by himself for another 13 years before Evelyn comes along :)

I throw a few numbers out there, so it can get confusing but Angus is 26, and Evelyn is 23.
Angus is not 16, he is a full grown man with facial hair (even though I forgot to describe that on him), real muscles (not that tiny thin arms and legs but strong muscular body).
He also remembers some English as that's what his parents spoke, but he is VERY rusty. Once he starts leaning it, it all comes back to him :)

Other than that, enjoy :)
