The humid air surrounded Angus as he finally stepped foot into the loud building. His heart was raised slightly in anticipation and awe as the thumping music pounded his ears the dark room illuminated by lights took his fascination. The waiting line to enter the club had been long as the line had slowly progressed towards the front and everyone had been complaining about the cold breeze. Angus however, had found it comforting. It reminded him of his home and the familiar sense of not always being at a constant warm body temperature and the real struggles he went through living alone. He knew the thought was stupid, but it brang a sense of ease to him.

His eyes were wide open, taking everything in as he walked in side by side with Mike into the club, his Evy strolling in only a few feet behind him. The first thing he noticed was the loud bass music, the catchy music instantly arousing his energy levels making his heart race a tiny bit in anticipation and excitement. The second thing he noticed was the sweet, yet sweaty aroma in the room caused from the mass of people littered everywhere.

Towards the middle was a dance floor, huge in Angus opinion but in reality it was just the average cramped dance space. A bar was towards the back of the room, male and female toilets on either end, and standing tables around the edges of the room. There were a few dark corners where Angus could see some moving bodies but he didn't care to try and focus on them and see what they were actually doing. He may be stupid to society still, but he wasn't naive.

There were so many people, all looking slightly similar age but at the same time looking a diversity of appearances. There were tall, short, tanned, blonde, brunette, black, white, Asian, fat and fit people that all shared one thing in common, huge smiles on their faces as they enjoyed their night. It made Angus smile and become even more motivated to begin. All of the males were dressed similar to him; converses and chino shorts with a plain shirt or a button down dress shirt. Whereas the girls ranged from pants and shorts, to dresses and skirts, some caked with makeup and some hardly any. Some outfits were revealing and some were concealed and some, he had to admit, were like his Evy. Showing enough skin to be sexy but hiding enough to keep everyone guessing. Not that he had to, he proudly thought.

"This is the party life man, you'll love it." Mike called over the loud music. He roughly clashed his hand on Angus shoulder in encouragement and led him over to the bar.

Mike wasn't going to lie, he was curious to see Angus drunk. He knew that the over protective bastard had a sense of humor somewhere deep down inside him and a fun side that he had never seen before. It didn't take a genius to know that Evelyn was the only one to see the real Gus as he was always bottled up and cautious. However, Mike knew that just with a bit of alcohol, some music and a good time, Angus would truly become a wild man.

'I'll start you with something easy and we can build you up,' Mike reminded him as they walked towards the bar. The group of eight, Mike, Angus, Evelyn, Mikes significant other Maddie, and a few mates took a seat at the bar and waited.

Angus found it hard to concentrate with the loud music and he sat quietly listening to everyone else, tapping his foot to the heavy bass and holding Evelyn's hand as she talked to Maddie happily.

Ten minutes later, the gang had migrated to a standing table and Angus was on his second raspberry cider and starting to feel overly happy and buzzing. His head was bopping to the music as he yelled a conversation with Mike.

"Want to dance?" Maddie yelled over the music. Angus looked down at Evelyn for an answer and frowned when she shook her head no. "Why not?" Maddie whined with a smile, grabbing Mikes hand and ready to hit the dance floor.

"I can't dance," she laughed, her awkwardness over coming her, "Let me have another one then I'll jump around for a bit." She dismissed them with a smile. Angus opted to stay with Evelyn, talking with one another and drinking. The more he drank, the happier and stronger the flying sensation took over his body. The club smelt like a sweet aroma mixed with sweat. The lights at the standing tables weren't as bright and the music wasn't too loud so a conversation wasn't too difficult to carry out.

Two more ciders later, Mike had returned with some shots and the group cheered 'bottoms up' and they all downed the shot.

Angus' throat burned, it felt like fire down his throat as he chased it with his drink. He couldn't help the splutter and cough as the uncomfortable feeling running down the whole of his throat.

Evelyn found it adorable, his reaction, laughing and falling into his side slightly as he tried to cover up his coughs.

'I've had enough to want to dance now,' Evelyn said grabbing one of Angus hands with the both of hers. 'But when I say dance, I mean jump. I have two left feet.' She giggled. The trance on his deep brown eyes as he watched her with pure fascination was enough for Evelyn to lead the way.

Evelyn had long ago left the dance floor. Her feet ached, she was thirsty and to be honest, all she wanted was hugs. Evelyn was an affectionate drunk, she loved making sure people were happy and she found everything funny. Absolutely everything.

"What are you doing?" Evelyn squealed, her laughter cutting in straight afterwards. Her stomach hurt from laughing so hard and she had tears in the corner of her eyes. Maddie was practically sitting on top of her at the moment.

Maddie is quite a short person, a health freak who worked out and ate almost one hundred percent clean so she was fit and she was also blessed with thin genetics. Her hair was straightened into a very short blonde bod, sitting on top of her shoulders and Evelyn couldn't help but love the scent of her perfume she was wearing. She contrasted hugely compared to Evelyn, who for a girl was considered quite tall and much more muscular. Angus was the only person who ever made Evelyn feel dwarfed and tiny against but she wasn't complaining, the change of not being the tall one was different for her and she loved it.

Maddie flung her arms around Evelyn's neck, leaving a sloppy kiss on her exposed skin. "Maddie!" Evelyn shrieked again, wondering why she was trying to annoy her.

"If I was Angus, you, you'd be loving me right now." Maddie teased her, looking her in the eye and trying to wink.

"You'd never be Angus, you're to short." Evelyn poked her tongue out as Maddie gasped, her height being a sensitive topic slightly offending her.

"You're a bitch." Maddie said with a straight face before attacking her neck with more sloppy kisses.

"What's going on here?" Mike appeared from the bar with Angus next to him. "As hot as this is, I'd pefer it if my girlfriend kept her lips to herself and reserved for only me."

Evelyn and Maddie burst out laughing and hugged each other, finding it hilarious in their state that Mike called them hot.

"You think this is hot, baby?" Maddie teased. She planted a kiss on Evelyn's cheek before giggling again. Evelyn looked over and saw Angus frowning, not pleased how Maddie was treating her how he did.

"You don't like it baby?" Evelyn asked, jokingly adopting the nickname for Gus. She stifled a laugh at her joke and Maddie gasped, her hand over her mouth to contain her laughs.

Angus shook his head no.

"Don't worry Gus, its you I like." Evelyn said, removing Maddie from her lap as she stood and walked over to Gus. Instantly she felt short next to him and she loved the contrast in their heights. Angus lifted an arm and Evelyn slipped in next to him, clinging onto his torso in a side hug.

"You, are so fucking beautiful." Evelyn said to him. She turned her attention to Mike. "Isn't he beautiful?" The rogue finger pointing randomly at Angus, so Mike could distinguish who she was swooning over, was batted playfully away from Angus and she poked his cheek to prove her point.

"For a man, he's not ugly."

"Are you kidding me? Angus here," Evelyn petted his torso as she talked about her man, "is the most beautiful person I've seen. Ever." She felt Angus' arm around her shoulder squeeze tighter in the sign of affection. It was all it took for Angus to steal her attention away from the world and captivate her.

"Your eyes are amazing." She said.

"Evy is the most beautiful person, ever." Angus said, a grin on his lips. He loved her carless attitude, how she was so loose and happy. Her smile was all he wanted to see and her laugh was all he wanted to hear. Those two things made him happy, it made him on cloud nine and it also made him wish they would never, ever stop.

"I love your butt." Angus said. His hand dropped and playfully squeezed her butt, making Evelyn shriek and press herself further into him trying to escape his wondering hands.

"You too Gus." Evelyn said with a smirk, her hand dropping and hitting his butt. She burst into a fit of laughter and ran over to Maddie, grabbing her hand and taking her back to the dance floor, looking over her shoulder to see Angus standing there in complete awe, watching as her body retreated into the sea of people. Playfully, Evelyn shook her butt to tease him and her heart almost exploded when she saw him lick his lips, his eyes focused solely on her and nobody else in the room.

"Shit, my head." Evelyn complained to Mike as she sat at the table. Everyone, minus Angus, were sitting in the hotel diner eating a plate of greasy food with sunglasses and hats to protect them from the light that only intensified their hangover.

"Have you heard from Angus?" Maddie asked Evelyn as she took a sip of water.

Evelyn's stomach fell hard at the mention of him. Suddenly, guilt flooded her stomach and she wasn't overly hungry. Her stomach felt queasy and she wasn't sure if it was from guilt, or the fact that she needed to empty her stomach content from last night. Half an hour before they left the club last night, Mike informed Evelyn that Gus had found his own taxi home and retired for the night. Immediately, it dampened Evelyn's mood because Angus clearly wasn't liking the club. She felt guilty that she was too busy enjoying herself to notice that he wasn't having a great time.

Evelyn didn't even know that Angus knew how to catch a taxi.

His mobile that they purchased a few weeks ago had been turned off or ran out of power and Evelyn was out of ways to contact him. She had stayed overnight at the hotel with Mike, Maddie and Emily, one of the other girls she had gone to the club with, and planned on heading over to Angus' apartment on her way home.

It sounded clingy, she knew and cringed at the thought, but she just wanted to make sure that Angus was okay and had some aspirin.

"I'm sure he's fine, but he's never been drunk before which means he hasn't had a hangover." Evelyn said, pushing her chips around on her plate. "I warned him about it, but I think he was too eager to get to the club he didn't realize the full extent of them."

"I hope his hangover is bad, that way its karma for making his girlfriend worry." Emily chimed in.

"I, we don't have a label." Evelyn murmured.

"Seriously? You two are definably dating for sure." Emily said, confusion laced in her voice.

"We act it, but Gus is knew to it all. He likes me, I like him and that's all there is to it I guess." Evelyn shrugged.

"Ladies, as much as I love that you're all bonding," Mike interjected. "But me and the lads don't need to be listening to this crap so early in the morning." He flung an arm over Maddie's shoulder and she closed her eyes, leaning into his body and closing her eyes to try and reduce the pounding in her head. "It's making my head kill even more than it already fucking is."

The other three guys around the table murmured an agreement.

"Sorry," Evelyn apologized standing up from the table. "It's midday, I should get going anyways." After a quick round of goodbyes and see you later, Evelyn was heading onto the street to catch the bus to Angus apartment.

For some reason, Evelyn felt nervous. Would Angus be mad at her for not going home with him, would he be upset that she didn't take his feeling into consideration? Will he be guilty he didn't tell her that he was leaving out of nowhere? She lifted her hand to knock on the door, and just before her fist hid the barrier, it flung open.

Slightly startled, Evelyn took a small step back in fright, her heart beat increasing slightly. A small smile took over her face as she thought how stupid she was jumping at a door opening, her hand placed on her chest as if it would reduce her heart rate.

"Sorry Gus, I-" Evelyn's words died in her mouth as she came face to face with another girl. She let out a jaggered breath, her mind automatically assuming the worst that happened. It was like a stabbing to her chest as she looked at the girl in front of her.

She too was shocked, looking like she was caught red handed. She was in her black leather pants and a white and grey striped top. Her blonde hair was wavy, messy like bed hair and frizzing slightly at the ends. Her thin, tanned and toned body contrasted with her body image entirely as she assumed that Angus had picked up someone entirely different to herself. Her small black heels were clasped in one hand with her phone and small purse in the other as she was clearly trying to quietly leave the apartment.

"I, I'm sorry." The blonde stuttered, shock on her face. As the blonde observed the girl in front of her, she automatically knew she fucked up. She felt guilt eat away inside her she watched Evelyn's eyes fill with tears. "I swear, I had no clue." She said, awkward and sincere as hell. "If I had known," she trailed off not sure what to even do in a situation like this.

"No, don't worry about it." Evelyn said even though deep down inside her she was dying. "You didn't know." She whispered.

The blonde opened her mouth to say something, but the husky voice from behind the blonde made them both freeze.

"Evy?"

It was Angus. Unfortunately, looking as beautiful as ever with his pants slung low on his hips, no shirt exposing his fit physique. His hair was pulled back into a low bun, the same thing he did every morning when he woke up. Black bags were under his eyes and his hand was on his temple, clearly a hangover. She closed her eyes, hating the ideas swarming her head on what they did last night. She hated the fact then when she looked at him, she felt sick and this time she knew it wasn't from lasts alcohol.

"I'm uh, going to go." The blond awkward said. "I'm so sorry." She said once more before scurrying down the hall and out of site.

"Evy, are you crying?" Angus asked. He had a frown on his face as he walked towards her. His long arm reached out to pull her into his body but she flinched away from him. "Evy?" He repeated. He felt hurt flood his body as he watched his Evy pull away from him. Angus could see the devastation on her face, the way she brang up her arms to help herself for comfort. Her wild hair fell in front of her face, hiding her emotion and her distraught green eyes filling with tears because of him.

A flood of guilt washed through him, and not for the first time since he arrived home last night. He hated seeing her like this and it killed him knowing that he was the cause of her tears. Angus hated himself for putting her in a position like this when he vowed to protect her and make her happy. It was because of him that she was sad and upset and the guilt rose like acid in his body until he wanted to fall to his knees and apologize profusely until she forgave him.

"Did you sleep with her?" Evelyn blurted. She couldn't help herself, the blonde had confirmed it before but she wanted to hear it from Angus mouth. She wanted him to confirm it so she didn't interpret the situation wrong and she was holding her breath in answer. She was praying with everything in her that it was false, that he hadn't but his next words crushed her heart as his voice broke and he quietly murmured.

"Evy, I'm so sorry."
