Bliss.

It was the only word the pair could describe this moment as, as they drove to Angus' apartment. Gus lightly held onto one of his Evy's hand, reluctant to let go as she stole it back every now and again to turn the steering wheel properly. The feeling was familiar, it was comfortable and comforting. Just what the couple wanted and craved, but it was also something they needed.

They both knew the talk was bound to happen that day, but for the moment, they pushed it aside to enjoy each other in the way they haven't be able to for a bit.

"Gus!" Evelyn laughed as she tried to pry her hand away from his hold. They were nearing the roundabout and Evelyn needed both hands to safely maneuver around the circle, but Angus loved having her to hold once again that he was stubborn.
"Gus!" She shrieked with a laugh. With a bit of force, the ripped her hand out of his grip, catching the grin on his face as she flicked on her blinker and waited for the car on her right to pass, before going herself.

She kept both hands on the wheel, knowing very well that Angus' playful mood may get them into a crash. Angus seemed to have noticed this, so he settled or placing a hand on her knee and absentmidnly drew small patterns onto her exposed skin. Evelyn felt her body warm up slightly, having missed the small touches that she once took for granted.

Angus' tanned fingers contrasted hugely with Evelyn. Although it is spring and Evelyn was tanned from the expedition, Angus was much browner from his life in the jungle. His nails lightly scratched against her skin, making Evelyn hum in satisfaction at the touch.

"You're so fucking beautiful, Evelyn." His voice sounded extremely raspy, and Evelyn felt her cheeks heating up from the compliment and from the intense stare he was giving her. His eyes didn't wander once, taking in the beautiful sight he had been deprived of for a week and a half.

"Shut up," she mumbled, feeling flustered.

"Why?"

"Because," She lamely replied. Angus laughed, a genuine laugh as he watched his female blush all because of him. Seeing her so happy and how they always were before he screwed up provided him with a mental peace.

"You swear now." Evelyn blurted randomly. She couldn't help but notice the more he attended classes and his English improved, the more he swore as well and used modern slang.

"I talk to Mike on the phone." The answer was all Evelyn needed to hear. Even though Mike was a nice and genuine bloke, he swore like there was no tomorrow when he wasn't in a work environment. It dropped into a peaceful silence again.

"I love you." The words effortlessly fell from his lips. Not used to it and the sincerity he said them in, Evelyn's foot accidently hit the accelerator slightly as she became even more flustered.

"I love you too." She mumbled shyly, glancing over at her man.

"Not too." Angus said randomly. As he saw the puzzled look on her face, he smiled small before expanding. "Too, is an agreeing word. It makes it sound like you agreeing because you have to."

"Look at my grammar Nazi," Evelyn laughed, reaching over to poke his hip like she used to do all the time. Angus didn't get the joke, and kept a blank face at her. "It's like. Just, you're smart now, okay?" Evelyn corrected herself, forgetting he wasn't aware of the term.

"I love you," Angus repeated, waiting expectantly for a reply. A grin broke onto his face when his Evy turned her head glancing in his eyes for a moment before looking back on the road.

"I love you, Gus."

The pair hadn't wasted any time going to bed as soon as they got home, even though it was only mud afternoon. After a quick stop of the grocery store to pick up some food, Evelyn and Angus headed up to Angus' apartment and took of their shoes. Lazily, they walked hand in hand to the bedroom. Evelyn looked around her, noticing not much had changed, however now his bedroom floor was a bit messier from clothes lazily thrown everywhere.

The messiness went against Angus' character. From living in the wild and not owning much, what he had was neatly organized on the shelf, in a specific order so he knew where everything was.

Evelyn frowned slightly at the mess, pulling herself close to his body. The moment felt intimate because they had been deprived of each other so much. Angus shuffled his body so he stood in front of his Evy, his tall frame towering over hers and he looked down on her with pride. His hands lightly grasped her waist as hers snaked around his, pulling herself closer. Their stomachs touched as they look up at each other, both unable to hide the smiles threatening to take over.

Slowly, Evelyn's hands fiddled with the hem of Angus shirt before attempting to slide it off him. Since his torso went on forever, she got him stuck in his shirt. Angus disconnected from his Evy, laughing as he tried to rid the material now caught in a mess around his neck.

The shirt forcefully came off, his head springing from the top. A look of surprise was on his face as he emerged, an Evelyn couldn't help but laugh as he looked so flustered from being caught in the t-shirt. Angus discarded the shirt on a chair, before reaching to pull off Evelyn's top. Once again, ungracefully, Evelyn was left in just her bra on her torso, before they both stripped their own pants.

Angus tenderly held his Evy's hand as helped her into the bed, holding the covers open for her. Evelyn blushed and jumped in, scooting over to make room for the giant man who swiftly followed after her. Immediately, the cold covers draped over her body, however Angus pulled her in flush to his body.

They lay in silence for a bit, until Angus wanted her to be even closer. Without warning, he practically picked her up and made her lie on top of his body. Loving the feeling of her weight, light but at the same time with some weight. Angus sighed in content, his arms wrapping around her waist bringing her in even closer.

He inhaled, the familiar scent enough to make him die happy. He was so caught up in having his Evy so close, he didn't process her laughs of complaint until she annoyingly poked him in the hip.

He opened his eyes and glared at her for the intrusive action, but secretly he loved it.

It was something she had done since the very beginning, and in the short time apart he found himself missing the annoying jab to his side to get his attention.

"Gus, I'm going to squish you," she laughed, moving her arms to lift some of her weight off him.

"Nonsense," Angus replied, using his shoulder to knock out one of Evelyn's hands, making her press herself even closer into him. He sighed in content.

"Gus," she whined, knowing she wasn't going to win.

"Shhh," he mumbled, tightening his grip around her waist.

Evelyn caught herself smiling, and there was no way she could wipe it off her face. She missed this, she missed him. She loved him, and being apart for the eleven days hurt more than she thought they did. She inhaled deeply, loving that he smelt only lightly of deodorant, one that wasn't heavily scented because Angus hated the smell of chemicals.

He smelt fresh, like his jungle and it made her feel at peace. With the smile plastered on her face, she found herself relaxing into his body. A hand rose to play with the ends of his hair, the now cut ends conditioned, felt soft under her fingers as the other bent behind her to grasp the hand on her back.

Angus intertwined their fingers together, a tight grip as he didn't want to let go. He knew he had a long way to go to earn back her trust, but for moments as amazing as these, he was willing to do anything.

"You look happy Angus." Doctor Jones commented. It was the fourth week of seeing Angus, and she had insisted long ago that they drop formalities, and told Angus to address her as Loretta.

"Yeah," Angus mumbled. His cheeks tinted pink slightly as he remembered the night before. Nothing sexual had happened all yesterday. Evelyn had lay on top of Angus for that afternoon, well into the early morning. They hardly slept, instead they spent the night talking about nothing. Just random, useless topics. They were more meaningful than usual, due to the process Angus had made in his frequent trips to his lessons and the study he had been putting in.

It was no secret that Angus is smart, extremely smart. He had explained that his remembered English from his parents, although rusty when Evelyn found him, he was smart enough to pick it back up quite quickly. He still wasn't perfect at it, but his mistakes only made him more adorable and intriguing, and the conversation hilarious as he tried to incorporate big words to sound intelligent like his Evy, only to use it in the complete wrong context.

The addition and multiplication his parents had also taught him finally weren't just numbers that went together, they now had purpose and were useful in everyday life. It made his shopping a whole lot easier, even though sometimes he needed the calculator in his phone to assist him.

Also, his general observations on life and his ideas show the brilliance hiding in his mind, blocked by isolation. The basic knowledge on recognizing a person having four shadows from four light posts (he observed in a game of AFL, Evelyn had never noticed it before) and when he told Loretta, she was surprised how he could reasonably figure out why that was the case. Also, his ability to observe everything, developed from living in the wild, and his amazing athletic ability, reflex and ability to judge a situation.

The world didn't have the access to understand what a brilliant man Angus is, and the potential he holds in his mind.

The whole night, they shared sweet kisses, the cute touches that made the other shiver, but nobody acted upon it. They were both satisfied with the fact they were with each other, happy and at peace.

It wasn't until the following morning when they had woken up before the sun had rose, feeling restless from lying down the whole previous day, that the fire in their stomach ignited. The morning was filled with passionate, needy sex. Every inch of their bodies were kissed and explored, sweat coated them both from the activities and at the end, they were both panting heavily, satisfied, and hungry.

After cleaning off in the shower and running up the water bill, they made a bowl of cereal and lounged on the couch waiting until the time Angus had to come to his lesson, where he currently sat now.

"Ah, Evy and I are back."

He felt very protective of her after last night. His love and desire to protect her only grew from their emotional and physical intimacy in the past twenty four hours, and he did not want to expose her more then he should. He finally got her back, and he didn't want anyone taking her away from him again.

"That's good Angus. I'm happy for you both." Loretta smiled. She noticed the apprehensiveness about Evelyn and decided to leave it, knowing fully well his feeling for her. As well has helping him adapt intellectually to society, Loretta was also the therapist of Angus. At the start, he was cautious but after his betrayal to Evelyn, he tended to open up more to her. She knew of the situation and his feelings, and she was glad he was now back to his curious self, willing to learn.

He nodded at her in thanks, before turning his head back to his paper.

"I didn't understand this problem." Angus said, changing the subject.

Loretta finished writing about their resolution and closed her notebook, turning to focus on what Angus had assigned to do work on at home.

"Good, you did the first part right." Loretta commented, observing the math Angus had done.

"I know that." Angus said. Loretta laughed at his confidence and arrogance.

"See, you needed to multiply by 100 here, because at the start you divided by 100. So the multiplication will convert it back to the correct unit." Loretta pointed to paper, her arm brushing against his.

Angus was used to the accidental brushings, but after last night it felt wrong. He moved his chair to the side slightly, a frown on his face. It wasn't very subtle.

Loretta continued on as if nothing happened. "Once you convert back, do the last step again and you'll get the answer."

Angus nodded, and reached for the eraser, at the same time as Loretta. Once again, their hands brushed and Angus' hand shot back. His eyes were wide, and he apologized. He didn't want to do anything unfaithful again to his Evy.

"Here," she said. It didn't faze her, as she didn't mind the smooth touch of his warm skin against hers. She nodded her head, prompting him on to fix his question.

She reached behind her and grabbed her notebook, scribbling down some notes.

Sorry, it's not overly great.
