"Are you okay Gus?" Evelyn questioned. True to their word, the two travelled to the park with a blanket, sandwiches, water and a football to waste time in between Angus' sessions with Doctor Loretta Jones. Ever since the doctors' office, Evelyn had noticed Angus was slightly withdrawn from her.

Usually, Angus was the first to reach for Evelyn to hold as they walked, but after he absentmindedly grabbed the bag with their belongings, Evelyn slinked next to him to intertwine their fingers. Angus had loosely returned the hold, and it wasn't until Evelyn squeezed his hand that he averted his gaze to look down and smile at her. Evelyn frowned when his smile didn't reach his eyes.

"Gus, uh, I'm good." He said quietly. Evelyn could see his mind whirling at full speed and she frowned. She wasn't sure on what to do. Angus had never really been withdrawn from her, and she knew it was natural for people to have a bad day. But Angus wasn't normal, he was different. He didn't experience sudden mood changes like this.

Evelyn contemplated on whether or not to talk to Angus about what was on his mind.

'If you don't want to talk about it, we don't need to," she started, tugging slightly on his hand so Angus would stop walking. His long legs halted as he turned to face his Evy. He looked down on her, a curious hint to his face. "I'm not sure what happened from the doctors to here, but I'm kind of worried Gus. You never change moods this quickly."

Angus squeezed her hand to encourage her to speak. He knew Evelyn wasn't the most sensitive person in the world and had trouble conveying particular messages.

"I just don't want you upset." She concluded. She shifted her gaze from his intense look to the ground. She felt a light finger under her chin, tilting her head back up to look at him. She watched as Angus leaned down and gently placed a lingering kiss on her lips, making her heart thump wildly out of control. A small smile was on his face when he drew back, flinging an arm over her shoulder pulling his girl into his side.

"I love you," Angus said.

"You confuse me," Evelyn mumbled backwards. This time, it was Angus who poked Evelyn in the hip, making her yelp in surprise from the attack. "Hey!" she protested. "Don't use my moves against me man."

As usual, the two got carried away in their game of football and lost track of time. Swiftly, they packed their things, Angus scooping all their items in his arms as they had fifteen minutes to get to his session that stats in ten minutes.

"We're going to be late," Evelyn mumbled.

"When are we ever on time?" Angus rhetorically pointed out, earning a laugh of agreement. They shuffled back to the car, Angus dumping the stuff in the boot. "I need to pee," he said, kissing her on the cheek. "I'll be a minute." Evelyn nodded, watching as his large body jogged off towards the public toilets a hundred meters away.

"Hurry up, lady." Someone spat from the other end of the car park. Evelyn turned her gaze from Angus to see two late teenaged boys and one girl yelling at someone in a car.

"Could you be any slower?" The group of three snickered, one going as far too high five the one making the crude comments. Evelyn frowned. She could hear frantic words in response, but couldn't make them out over the sound of a car engine.

The two boy and one girl burst out laughing, speaking quicker to the person in the car. Although they were quieter, she knew they were still being rude from the shit eating smirks on their faces. Locking her car, Evelyn quietly made her way over to the bin near the group. She didn't want to intervene in case she was getting the wrong message, but if the elderly lady in the car was being harassed by these teens then she was sure she would do something about it.

As she approached, her converses crunched on the gravel dirt. She caught the attention of the teens, but they mustn't have cared as they went back to taunting the lady.

"Son, please move you skateboard from behind my car. I need to be going." The lady was flustered, her hands gripping the wheel tightly. Clearly, she was uncomfortable with the teens.

"I can't, sorry." The boy snickered.

The car reversed, but stopped a second later as she didn't want to run over the skateboard.

Evelyn threw the trash in the bin. Her heart was racing in anticipation as she wondered how to approach the situation. It was plain rude what the people were doing, but it was one against three. The girl was miles shorter then herself, and the two boys only had a few inches on her. It was in situations like that that Evelyn felt as though she was blessed her tall height, making her appear not as weak.

"Hi, are you okay?" Evelyn found her voice asking, her feet carrying her towards the old blue car. The snickers stopped as they watched Evelyn approach, but she didn't look at them. She only looked at the flustered lady.

"Oh dear, there is a skating board behind the car." Evelyn nodded her head, moving to behind the car. She picked up the board, removing the obstacle from the woman's path.

"There you go, there's nothing there." Evelyn smiled at the lady who sent her a thankful smile.

"Bless you, my sweet girl." Evelyn smiled and watched as she reversed and frantically drove from the parking lot.

Her bravery was slowly starting to fade now, as she realized it was only her left with the teenagers. She bravely turned around, her arm out stretched with the skate board to pass over.

"I'm assuming this is yours." It wasn't a question, and she couldn't help the bitter tone she carried. Practical jokes were one thing, however on an elderly lady who was clearly uncomfortable was plain cruel.

"You stopped the fun." One boy sneered, leaving her out stretched hand with the board. The other two nodded in agreeance, displeased Evelyn stopped their game.

"It didn't look fun to me." She couldn't stop the words from slipping past her lips.

"How the fuck would you know?" Evelyn scoffed internally at his attempt to act tough from swearing. It wasn't working on her.

"Yeah, don't stick your arse in other people's business."

"Are you going to take your board back or am I taking home a free board?" Evelyn threatened. She was starting to get slightly uncomfortable with the situation and wanted to retreat to her car.

The girl quickly leaped out to retreat the board, yanking it from Evelyns' hand. Her eyes wide but downcast, clearly uncomfortable about being called out on their actions.

"Let's go yeah, do this somewhere else." The girl muttered, clearly feeling guilty.

"Don't harass to many people," Evelyn muttered under her breath, turning on her foot.

"What was that?" The side guy asked. He was the tallest of the three and slightly muscular, however his younger age showed his weakness.

Evelyn gulped, before boldly replying "You heard me."

The guy took a step forwards, the girl taking one step back. The middle bloke just stood there, not making a move.

"Mind your own fucking business," he said. "And don't fucking tell us what the fuck we can or can't do."

Evelyn gulped. She had no clue on what to do, and she knew sarcastic answers wouldn't get her anywhere.

"Okay," she muttered. He turned on her heel to leave, but the guy reached out and grabbed hold of her worst.

"Oi," he angrily said. Evelyn didn't even think as she turned around and punched his shoulder. The grip on her loosened, but she was harshly yanked back in towards him. "Fuck you," he sneered. His two friends took a step back from him, cowering away from his friend's actions.

"I strongly recommend letting go of her, and taking a step back."

Evelyn heard Angus' low voice from behind her, his words laced with venom and a sense of danger. Quickly, the grip on her arm was released. Evelyn felt a gentle touch on her hand as Angus pulled her backwards, hiding her body behind his and out of their reach and into his protection.

"Apologize." Angus said. Evelyn's hands rose and held his hip, the muscles tense beneath his shirt. She could feel the anger inside him, she knew Angus wanted to attack but he was trying his hardest to refrain. When the boy stayed silent, fear written on his face, Angus grew tenser.

"I said, apologize."

"S-sorry." The boy stuttered out, completely terrified. He, like most people, was dwarfed to Angus. His height with broad shoulders added a powerful aura around him. Evelyn was sure the look on his face would be enough to make the kid cry, and she didn't even have to look at him.

"A real apology." Angus voice was so cold, a shiver ran down Evelyn's spine. Even though the anger wasn't directed towards her in any way, she still feared. She wasn't sure if it was fear for her, or for the teenagers in front of her.

"I-I'm sorry Mam, uh Mrs, uh Miss. I didn't mean to, to grab you."

"Leave." Angus spat. He was so close to losing his temper, he wanted the rats gone. He didn't have to say it twice this time. All three picked up their belongings and ran as fast as they could to the road, before jumping on their board and rolled away.

Angus whipped around as soon as they were out of site. His hands reached and cupped Evelyn's face, inspecting it for damage. He saw the fear in her eyes, and he suspected it from for the kid roughly grabbing her.

"Are you okay?" He murmured, his hands gently cupping her wrist where she was grabbed. The skin was red and he could see a nail mark on her skin, but there was no signs of bruising. He sighed in relief, dreading to think what the kid would have done of he didn't return.

"Yeah, I'm fine." Evelyn breathed. She slumped into Angus' body, her arms wrapping loosely around herself. She had called it on herself for getting involved, and she was glad nothing more came from this.

"I can't fucking believe this." Angus seethed. He clutched Evelyn tightly to his body, as though his hold would protect her against anything. He finally felt her body sag, relaxing into the protectiveness of his hold. "I won't ever let someone touch you." Angus said determinately. "Never, ever again. I swear."

Evelyn pulled back as much as she could, and cupped his face. "Thank you," she murmured. His heavy breathing told her that Angus wasn't calm.

"Come," Evelyn intertwined her fingers with his. "You're already going to be late. Now we're five extra minutes behind."

"I don't care." Angus responded bluntly.

"But I do," Evelyn replied firmly. "Come on Gus, let's just go." Reluctantly, Angus nodded. His hand stayed firmly in hers as he released her. From the corner of his eye, he saw a flash.

"This is a fucking joke," he growled. A camera man positioned off to the side was crouched, taking photos of the two now, and probably of the whole interaction. Angus was furious. He wanted his Evy to be safe, and he wanted privacy. He wanted people to just leave them alone so he could live a life that wasn't being photographed and grilled about his life on his island.

A small growl rose in the back of his throat as Angus turned his back to the man, using his large frame to hide Evelyn.

"Hey, Gus it's oaky." Evelyn said, trying to calm him. "Let's just go," she whispered, tugging Angus arm with some force. "Please." Her plead was so quiet Angus' eyes softened. He let out a puff of air and closed his eyes momentarily before regathering himself before they headed back off to the car.

Doctor Jones huffed as her office door finally swung open. Angus walked in, stern face and tense body. It was different to his usual appearance. Usually, Angus was excited to learn something, or frustrated by something. But today, he was pissed off.

"Angus, better late than never," she joked. Usually, Angus would laugh, but today he glared at her. Loretta froze for a second, her heart skipping a beat before she composed herself.

"Uh, should we start with a session first?" She muttered, nodding her head towards the chair. Angus knew the drill. He went and sat down his a huff, his long legs out in front of him and crossed at the ankles with his arms crossed over his chest.

He really didn't look happy.

"Do you need to talk about something today?" Her voice went soft and smooth. Angus wasn't stupid, he knew the difference between her being professional and her prying to do her job, compared to how she usually spoke. The difference was blindingly obvious, and she was dumb enough to believe Angus fell for it.

"Changing your voice doesn't make Gus more comfortable." He huffed. She cleared the throat, looking at him sternly.

"Doesn't make me more comfortable." He spat the word me as he corrected himself. A small nod of her head made him huff. He didn't want to be here. He wanted to be back with Evy but he had to wait two fucking hours. Well, an hour and 45 minutes, since he was late.

"Angus what happened."

"Fucking everything." Doctor Jones hadn't seen Angus this upset and frustrated since he and Evelyn had their issues.

"Is it involving Evelyn?"

"Evelyn, photos, stupid, fucking kids hurting her, sources, everything." He huffed.

"Angus," her tone was soft, but it was also a warning to speak his mind otherwise his frustrations will only grow.

"There's been some source that is giving away information about me to media." Angus finally said. "Some's not even true, but people are writing about it. People are always in my face trying to take photos and in fucking tired of it." He ranted.

"I heard about that one, I thought you hired a representative to handle the media stories?" Doctor Jones questioned concerned

"No," Angus scoffed. "Evelyn's mom does that. But it's not her." Doctor Jones nodded.

"And the photos?"

"News reporters." He mumbled.

"And what about kids hurting someone."

"I'm not talking about that." It went silent for a moment as Loretta scribbled down some notes. She sighed and closed to book, looking at Angus.

"You're not happy in this society." It wasn't a question, it was a statement. It made her unhappy to see signs of discomfort and hate for this new world Angus lives in, however it was completely understandable. The amount of attention he got would be uncomfortable, even to those who were raised in a society filled with people.

"It's just intusiv."

"Intusiv?" she questioned.

"Yeah, intusiv. People don't stay away."

"Intrusive."

"What?"

"The correct term is intrusive, not intusiv."

"Who even fucking cares." He sighed, his hand roughly running down his face as he sighed.

He had finally spoken to Evelyn about why he was unhappy, and she understood. Now he talked to Loretta, and she understood. He would eventually get sick of this big city, yet he didn't know if he could move away from Evelyn. Hell, he knew he couldn't move away from her, but he also knew he couldn't stand this intrusive, busy life for much longer.
