Gradution Day

It's my last day as a senior at West Valley High School. In seven hours I'll be out of High School for good and looking forward to college. Things change so much in your senior year. You become an adult, graduate, and move  out on your own.

Speaking of leaving the nest, Tyrie has found us an apartment in Florida that we both love. I won't show you all just yet, but know that it is perfect for us both. My dad has been threatening to move with us if he even thinks that Tyrie will fuck up. Of course, he won't be coming, but it's nice to know that my daddy will always be there looking out for me. Even as an adult.

I got dressed and put on my red cap and gown. I take a picture of my cap because I'm so proud of how it came out.

"Shunt'A come on now. You don't wanna be late for your own ceremony."

"Coming!"

I tried to speed down the steps and almost tripped. Lukily, Oliver caught me before I faced planted. He steadied me back. He had finally gotten off work to come to my graduation. I told him that if he missed it I would never speak to him again. I wasn't joking either and he knew.

"Damn little girl calm yo roll. You almost went to Jesus all too quick."

I rolled my eyes at his lame ass, but slowed down nonetheless. I glanced over his outfit. He had on a red button down shirt with the sleeves rolled up, black slacks, and shiny church shoes. He had accessorized with a gold chain, gold Rolex, and some ray bans that he want even wearing.

"Hold on now why are you so dressed up for my graduation? And how the hell did you get a rolex? Please don't tell me you out on these streets again."

I laughed at it, but on the inside I was dead serious. Oliver had been doing so good when he started getting a real job. He didn't need to fuck that up because of the fucking trap life.

He kissed his teeth. "Nah girl ain't nobody selling again. I just want to show out for my little nigga as she walks across the stage. And this Rolex is from the store. Best believe I put that bitch on layaway. Where you think all my checks go to?"

"Weed." I said instantly.

"WHAT WEED Y'ALL TALKING BOUT?" My mom yelled from the kitchen. My eyes widen. That woman had spidey senses.

"The weeds outside that you told Oliver to get weeks ago."

He looked at me with a 'what the fuck' face. I just shrugged at first.

"Would you rather her think you didn't do chores or know you smoke weed?" I said raising my brow.

He rolled his eyes and blew out his mouth. I smiled in return and finally walked out the house.

When we got to the stadium where the ceremony was, I got overwhelmed. There were too many people here and I felt like they were staring at me. All around me was people with plain robes while me and a few others had ropes, sashes, and other honors awards. We stood out like a sore thumb.

A couple even walked up to me and touched my ropes. They just walked away without saying anything either. I almost lost my cool and ticked off on them.

"Mama can we go. These people are aggravating me already."

My mom squinted her eyes at me. "Child I didn't make sure you got to school and worked hard for you to leave early on your graduation day. Now shut your mouth and say cheese."

I stiffly posed for the hundreds of pictures she took. I'm pretty sure mist of them came out ugly because of the face I made. My eyes were closed for most of the posses I did because she left the flash on. My retinas are scarred.

"Wait here mom I have to go find Tyrie."

"Oh that boy again?", my daddy said rolling his eyes.

I smiled and shook my head at him. My father acts like he doesn't like Tyrie when really he loves him like another son.

"Yes daddy. Him again."

I kissed my parents on the cheek and hugged Oliver goodbye. I looked around everywhere for him, but I couldn't find him anywhere. I tried to call him. The call would go straight to voicemail.

Me- wya???

Me- helllooo

Me- wow so u can read my message but no reply?

King😍💖😜💯- I'm right behind you

I turned around quickly. There was Tyrie holding a single yellow rose in his left hand. While his right hand was hidden behind his back.

I blushed and grabbed the rose. Next, I slapped his chest.

"Why would you read my message and not reply? Where were you?"

He shrugs at me and snakes his arms around my not so slim waist. I felt something poking me in the back. I tried to look, but he made me face him.

He placed a sweet kiss on my lips. His face was red and he avoided my eyes.

"I-I got a surprise for you."

I smiled my wide grin that I make whenever I get free shit.

"Ooh what is it?"

He pulled out a black rectangular box from behind my back. So that's what was poking me. He opened it up and my eyes watered.

In the box was a silver chain with an emerald hanging from it. The necklace even had little diamonds around it. It was so beautiful that I couldn't take my eyes off of it.

^^Came Through Drippin'

He took it out of the box and told me to lift my hair up. I quickly moved my hair to the side, so he could place it on me. The way the light was hitting the jewels was perfect. Call me crazy, but I think this is even better than a promise ring.

"Tyrie how did you afford this? I mean- are these real? Wait. Why did you buy-"

"Shh."

He put his index finger on my lips. Moving my hair out of my face, he laid another soft kiss on my mouth.

"I bought it with hard earned money. Yes those jewels are as real as my love for you. And I bought it because I love you like the air I breathe, and I want to show that love off to everyone. So whenever another nigga ask you who your man is say it's the nigga that bought me this ice. Then, just hold it up real close to their face. Boom. Instant unwanted dick repellent."

I nodded laughing at his foolishness. He can never be serious for too long. I pushed him away laughing.

"Come on fool, we need to go graduate high school. Together."

He grabbed my hand in his.

"Forever."

After the ceremony

The ceremony was great. I was seated on the stage with the other top ten students. From where I was sitting I could see Tyrie in the crowd. He would make silly faces at me or flick his tongue. The fool had me blushing and shit. I'm so ready to take him home though. I'm trying to get the high school graduate head. I'll holla.

My mom was crying and telling me how proud she is. My daddy was trying to hide it, but I could tell that under his glasses he was shedding a few tears for me.

"Y'all didn't do all of this weeping when I graduated. Fake. All of y'all."

"Awe don't worry big brother, they still live you. Just not as much as me."

Oliver rolled his eyes at me. Out of nowhere he brings me into a hug, and lists me up. He swings me around until I get dizzy.

"Oliver put me down! I can't see straight!"

He put me down and I tilted a little bit. I was almost good, but I soon got tackled to the ground by a heavy for year old.

"Pretty T! I MISSED YOUUU!", Charm said snuggling her head into my stomach.

I laughed and petted her head. Ty walked up to us and offered his hand to help me up. Charm gasped when she saw my dress.

"Sorry T, but I think I messed up your dress."

I look down to see plenty of dirt all over me bottom half. Tyrie looks at my behind with a smile.

"What?"

He laughs at my face, but I don't get it. "Baby you have a huge dusty butt print on your robe. Want me to get it before I get compelled to take pictures?"

"Fuck you.", I whispered.

"When? Cuz' I'm free tonight and the next four years that we'll be living together."

I couldn't help the smile that showed up on my face. We are going to be living together. Tyrie and I. Me and him. Alone in a house with no one else. it's going to be perfect.

"I can't wait."

See this was gone be a long chapter but I couldn't be bothered. Next chapter is going to be something. Maybe sexual..maybe not.
