Later that day

It's 10:30 at night and Tyrie is still here. My dad is home now, and is in the kitchen with my mom trying to be nosy. Tyrie and I both know that he is listening to our every word. While he finds it hilarious, I just find it fucking annoying.

We were cuddled up on the couch watching some random show. I was barely paying attention to the tv. Instagram was my only entertainment right now. Ty was looking at my phone over my shoulder.

I saw a post that asked what your ex's name is in your phone. I showed him and asked what it was.

"Well her number is blocked, but if it was still there it would Popeye's Biscuit. Because they're both suffocating."

I was sputtering with laughter. I laid my head on my knees and snorted. That only made me laugh harder.

"Whew. That was my laugh of the day. You get on my nerves I'm sure she wasn't that- yes no she probably was. You seem like you date annoying girls. Case and point, me."

I scrolled some more until a picture of a pretty girl showed up on my feed. I liked it and swiped left to a video of her doing the in my feelings challenge. I immediately turned the sound off and unlike it. He side-eyed me meaning he saw that.

I shrugged. "What? I'm really fucking tired of that song, and I haven't even heard the whole thing yet."

He nodded and checked his phone.

"Shit. Baby I gotta go stay with charm at the house. My mom got called back to the hospital."

"Why don't you just bring her here?" I tried not to pout. I really didn't want him to leave. I get so lonely without him here with me. I'm my most comfortable when I'm with him.

"Nah she can be a real handful at times. I don't wanna take advantage of your people."

"Ma!" I shouted to the other room.

"What girl child?"

"Can Tyrie please bring Charm to spend the night here?"

She came out wiping her hands on a towel. She had a scowl on her face that meant she wasn't up for my bullshit tonight. I was bold to assume that a black mother was going to let her daughter's boy friend stay the night, but it was worth a try. My dad is home so she'll be extra happy today.

"Why can't she be at her own home? And where puke Tyrie be staying for the night little girl?"

"Their mother just got called back to work at the hospital and won't be back for a long time, probably not until the next morning. I was hoping he could bring her to have dinner and they could both stay over tonight." I grinned and blinked my eyes at her. She wasn't budging at first. "I promise that's the only thing we're going to do. No funny business."

She thought on it for a second before nodding.

"Sure baby, but he sleeps downstairs or on the floor. No closed doors if he does. No funny business."

"I promise on my life. Thank you Mrs.B." Tyrie hugged her extra happily like she said he could move in indefinitely.

"You're welcome child." She side eyed us both for a while before nodding.

She left. He kissed me and grabbed his keys.

"It'll be a minute to pack us both a bag."

"Take your time." I sighed after him.

He didn't live far, so in about 35 minutes they were knocking at the front door.

"Charm!"

"Pretty T! I missed you!" A loud and tiny voice shouted.

Let me explain. So Ty calls me pretty girl right. Charm at first called me Tae because she couldn't pronounce my name correctly , but Pretty T caught on to her and it's stuck since then.

I hugged her a kissed all over her face. She's my little sister that I never got.

"I missed you too Charmy. You grew up so much since I've last seen you. You must be like 16 years old now huh?"

Her angelic giggles filled the hall.

"No silly T. I'm only four now."

"Ohh. Silly me," I slapped my forehead. "I totally forgot."

She smiled wide at me. My parents came downstairs.

"Is that Charm I hear? Hi baby." My mom said.

She ran into my father's legs. He picked her up and threw here up into the air repeatedly. He let her down and she stumbled a bit.

"Come on honey. Let's get you a light dinner before Shunt'A gets you ready for bed because it is super late. We've got leftovers you might like."

They all went to the kitchen. Tyrie was just standing there in the hall holding two duffle bags. One was plain black with the school's logo so that one was obviously his, but the other one was a bright purple bag with a holographic C on the pocket.

"You can take her bags upstairs. I'll get her cleaned up and changed." I clapped my hands together from excitement. I loved Tyrie's family so much and I was happy that they loved me back.

"Cool. Is she sleeping in your bed with you?"

"Duh, of course. I would never make her sleep on the floor baby."

"You know she can just take the couch and I'll be on the floor in the living room. I know she rolls around a bit in her sleep."

"Well so do I. It's fine don't worry. I wouldn't have offered the idea if I wasn't up for it. It'll be like a sleepover for her."

"I don't know. I just feel weird about staying here even for the night. My mom insisted that we were good but you seemed so persistent about us staying-"

I grabbed his lips between my pointer and thumb and shook my head.

"Shhh shut the heck up please. I love you and want to offer a little help even if you don't necessarily need it. Stop being so stubborn baby and accept the help. My family loves you both so it is really no trouble at all."

He took his lips out of my hold and laughed at my weird actions. He put his bag down on the den coffee table. Tyrie walked up and gave me a short hug that made me feel really warm.

"Okay. Thanks again baby."

I nodded and turned to leave. He yanked me back before I could. I got pressed against the wall right next to the kitchen. Tyrie pressed his body into me that he had me trying to go into the wall. I could feel every indent if his body on my own at that point. He placed his lips on mine and a fire started in me. The kiss itself was dominant and sort of aggressive. But the way he held onto my neck with one hand and caressed my back and side with his free hand was soft and endearing. We both needed oxygen after a while and he backed up. My face was on fire.l and I think my body was slightly shaking.

"Really pretty girl. Thank you." His hazel eyes stared deeply into my own with seriousness.

"D-don't mention it."

He walked upstairs with Charm's spend the night bag and I tried to fan my face off. I let out a breath and walked into the kitchen for a drink.

I went to the fridge and vent down into it to grab a Gatorade and cracked it open. I drank half of it and still felt warm all over.

My dad was sitting and reading his bible and my mom was sipping on a mug of tea. Charm was devouring the chicken and mashed potatoes from tonight's dinner, but she stopped eating when she saw me.

"Ooh Pretty T your face is all red. You look like a fire truck."

Her and my mom laughed at me. My father frowned at me.

"I'm gonna hurt that boy." He said nodding.

********

"Come on Charm it's time for your bath. You can finish watching once your done."

For the last hour she had been watching Phineas and Ferb on my phone. I had to pry her away just to get her in the bathroom. I respectfully turned away while she got undressed. I tested the water one more time before she got in. I handed her a clean washed cloth and left out, but left the door cracked just in case she needed me.

My room was kind of a wreck from when she and Ty had a pillow fight. I put all my pillows back on my bed and made it up. I put on my sleeping clothes.

The shorts were super comfortable. The long sleeves were great because my room can get very cold during the middle of the night.

Ty had packed Charm a set of PJ'S, regular clothes, underwear, and her toiletries. I got out her PJ'S and toothbrush.

I knocked on the bathroom door.

"You almost finished?"

"Yes."

"Okay wrap up in the blue towel next the tub. I'm coming in with your clothes and toothbrush."

After drying her off, dressing her, and making sure she brushed all her teeth we were ready for bed.

"Yay! Tyty packed my favorite jammies."

"Really he did? Why are they your favorite?"

"Because the smiley faces look like mine. See."

She did her best smile.

"You're right Charm. The smile is just like yours.Come on Charm it's way past your bed time. Move into bed."

"Please Pretty T not yet. I don't wanna sleep yet."

She was yawning, but I decided to let her finish the episode that she had already started. We were both sitting up against the headboard under the covers watching the show.

Knock
Knock

"Come in."

Tyrie stuck his head in the door way. Then, he walked up into the room.

"Hey my girls. Now I was coming up here expecting you to be sleep Charm. It's almost midnight. Time for little princesses to be sleeping." He crosses his arms and looked down at her with disapproval.

"No wait, but Pretty T said I could finish watching first." She yawned.

"Your yawning though Charm. Your body is telling you that its time for bed."

"Your brother is right. A princess can't have huge bags under her eyes because she didn't sleep." I agreed feeling guilty that I got her in trouble.

She sighed but haned over my tablet. I turned it off. Right after she laid her head on my side and snuggled up to me. I think my ovaries exploded.

"Goodnight Tyrie." I said.

"Wow so you're kicking me out baby? My baby sister won't let that happen."

"Charm can I kick your brother out of our girl's room."

She didn't even flinch or hesitate.

"Bye Tyty."

I laughed at his pouting face as he had to leave the room.

"Tyrie." I called after him.

He came back with a hopeful look.

"Turn the light off before you go."

He frowned even deeper, but did it anyway. I went to sleep with a smile on my face.
