Have you ever watched Charlie Brown?

Y'all know whenever the grown ups talk they replace it with a womp womp sound?

That's literally all I'm hearing right now. This is my worst class of the day. The teacher is an old white dude that has all stomach and no back. I describe his body as shapes. A lot of different shapes stacked on top of each other to form the huge beige blob that is him.

To make matters worse Tyrie doesn't take this class. I miss my baby but I can't see him for another twenty-five minutes.

How will I live?

I might die of boredom and frustration first. Mr.Pickle had us doing a pop quiz today out of nowhere. So basically we all barely passed, and now he was lecturing us on the reading we were supposed to have read.

Teachers always give us stuff to do knowing we won't do it till the last minute anyway.

"Miss Bunnt. MISS BUNNT ARE YOU PAYING ATTENTION?"

"DON'T YELL AT ME!"

Uh oh.

I wish I could whoop myself right now.

I didn't mean to yell or say that. When people do things I don't like and catch me off guard, I go crazy. Kind of losing my mind for a split second.

He looked at me menacingly and put his hands on his hips. I didn't mean to disrespect, but I'm not taking it back. It's out there now. No use in trying to fix it.

"What did you say to me? Who are you yelling at young lady?"

I just sat here blinking at him. Is he not going to write me up or should I expect an early weekend?

We looked at each other, waiting for the other to make the first move. Too bad Mr.Pickle doesn't know me well. I may be introverted, but I can be bold when I'm being petty.

I'll wait.

I leaned back in my desk and crossed my hands across my stomach. I might as well be comfortable while I'm getting a suspension. Shit I'm tired anyway. I could use a nice long break.

The other few people in the class were watching our interaction closely. A fly could die a hundred feet away and we would here it.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity,  we got somewhere. He pale was red in the middle and his ears could be releasing smoke by now.

"Get. Out." He said with clenched teeth.

I gathered my things before standing. I made sure to pull my pants up by the belt loops, and ignored the looks from guys that I don't even talk to or associate with.

I took my time putting my jacket on, fixing my hair, and applying chapstick. When I was done, I nodded at him.

"Gladly."

That was 45 minutes ago. The classes have finally changed.

It was close to the end of the day now. I don't see Tyrie yet, so I'll just walk around the halls. The people were all around in different crowds and groups; everyone had their place. While I'm just here wandering without anybody to talk to.

Out of nowhere I hear my name being called.

"Shunt'A! Wait up!"

I look back confused. A petite Asian girl from my class is running after me. I think she's in my AP class, too. I barely know her or talk to her. We used to speak briefly, but I don't see her very often anymore.

I stop to let her catch up with my big steps. I do wonder what she wants though.

She finally gets through the crowd, and begins to catch her breath. She holds a finger up at me.

"I-I just wanted to tell y-you that what you did was so cool." She said panting.

Now I was even more confused.

"What?"

It came out sharper than I intended it to. Her cheeks got pink at my tone.

"I thought how you stood up to Mr.Picle was great. Plus you were right, he shouldn't have yelled at you. If I were in your position I would've been shaking in my Vans."

She laughed nervously at her extremely corny joke.

"Oh . . . well thanks. I guess. . ." I trailed off for her name that I couldn't place.

"Oh yea, my name's Justine Chow. My friends call me ChowChow. You can too, I mean, if you want."

I could tell that Justine was super timid. Worse than I am even. She was pretty too, with her black hair reaching her mid back, dark brown almond shaped eyes, and pink pouty lips. She must have a lot of friends.

Someone Like Justine^^^

Why was she talking to me?

"No thanks Justine." I said stiffly.

Her face sank at the lack of her nickname.

"I prefer to make up my own nicknames for people. You know to be more original."

I gave her a small harmless smile. I wanted to be more friendly to people. Justine could be the fresh start I needed.

"Great. Okay, so would you like to eat lunch with my friends and I tomorrow?"

"Oh yea sure, but I'll talk to my boyfriend first to see if he will okay without me."

I don't want Tyrie worried about me being missing from lunch. He is already very protective of me. Who knows what hell thinks when he sees me with a new group of mysterious people.

"You have a boyfriend? Really? What's his name?" She questions.

Not to sound cocky, but I'm honestly surprised she didn't know who my boyfriend was. We were the school's walking phenomenon.

"My man's name is Tyrie, but every here calls him by his last name Jones."

My body got a little tingly just saying his name. That's what love does to you.

Justine's eyes widen in recognition.

"You're dating Jones? H-how? I mean, don't take this the wrong way, but he just seems so scary and you seem so nice. Everybody is low key scared of him. Is it true that he punched Eric and knocked out a kid in class in front of the teacher?"

"I get it, don't worry. Yes Jones is my guy, and yes he did both of those things. Only because he was taking care of me though. Not because he is a bad guy or anything."

I wanted the message to be clear that Tyrie didn't just go around do reckless things for no reason. He was always defending me or some other helpless person.

She nodded her head.

"That must be nice have a man to be there. Can't relate, but he does sound really great. I've got to go though. My next class is super far away. Bye Shunt'A."

I raised my hand and waved good bye back. When I saw that she was gone I let out a big breath I had been holding in. Being friendly was kind of hard, but the outcome wasn't too bad.

Maybe I could get used to this.

Whew. FINALLY I updated right? That took me way too long. I might need another person to help me write.

Don't forget to vote and comment. It helps me work harder and faster.
