How was your morning today :)?

Chapter 9: The necklace
It was Tuesday night and I wanted to go for a swim in the lake. I always had the urge to swim at night when I couldn't sleep. The water was the only thing that could calm me down.

I climbed out of bed as quietly as possible, trying my best to not let Aiden hear me. I walked over to the sandals in the corner, my bare feet reacting quickly to the carpet's cold feeling.

I put on my sandals and walked into the bathroom. The countertop was a white granite and the walls were painted with a tinted gray. I rested my hands on the bathroom counter, retrieving myself back to reality.

After changing into my bathing suit and braiding my curly hair, which took forever, I walked downstairs quietly, cringing at the creaks of the floorboard.

I slowly opened the sliding door and the cold breeze hit my face, I smiled at the feeling of the wind. I spotted the lake, the beautiful blue water that was enhanced to make a person want more. I step onto the wet grass and felt myself lower at each step. I walk onto the deck, the mud from before wiping off and take off my sandals.

I stand at the very edge of the deck, I turn my back to face back to the lake house and my back facing the water I urged to feel. I closed my eyes slowly and let my body fall back, gravity choosing for me. I groan with happiness as the feeling of the water makes contact with my skin.

I let my mind clear itself from its stress and let my legs and arms slightly rest as the cold liquid I swam in took control of my body. I rested my head back, floating.

The sky looked so beautiful at night.

I let my hair deepen into the pool and my satisfied face rest above the water.

I breathed in the fresh air of trees and the lingering smell of berries. I lifted my hand to clasp the necklace on my neck as I daze at the night moon.

I felt my hand clasp onto nothing and tried grabbing my necklace again. I rested myself up from floating in the water and felt panic enter my body. I touch every inch of my neck and felt nothing there.

My eyes darted towards the water around me in fear. I can't lose that damn necklace.

Do jewelry float in water when you lose them? I try to think of the time Kim K lost her earrings and how Kylie got them but my mind was filled with too much.

Think Heaven think.

I took the risk and dived all the way deep under the lake, I felt at least a tiny bit of my oxygen disappear as I swam further down. I didn't know how deep the lake's water was but it was deep.

I was used to opening my eyes underwater so that didn't bother me, but it was also night time so I couldn't see anything. Once I reached the bottom I stretched both of my arms out trying to touch anything that was on the rusted lake floor. The feeling of rocks and dirt hit my fingertips and I groaned irritated.

I felt the panic in me increase even more when I realized me holding my breath would soon not be able to last for a long time.

I shook my hands everywhere quickly.

Is that a watch?

I ignored it and felt my necklace that was placed to the side of the watch, all the stress left my body as I clung tightly onto the fragile thing. That necklace meant everything to me.

As I removed my hand from the underground surface I tried to swim back up, I felt a tug at my foot and I hissed at the pain. I look down to see my foot stuck in between something. I bent down and tried to remove the object but it was too heavy. Why the hell was something more than 20 pounds down here?

I felt my breathing slow down as I tried to think of a way to get some sort of oxygen. I tried my best to try to float back up but the sharp pain in my foot kicked in once again.

This was it, I was going to drown and die. God, I at least expected myself to die in like a fancier way.

My heartbeat slowed down and I slowly started feeling less energy in my body. I could feel my eyes slightly shut and my mouth almost open, letting all the oxygen I held in out.

The water slowly filled my mouth, clogging up my throat. I feel two strong arms clasp my waist, the pain in my foot felt less painful yet I still felt my soul slowly letting me go. The person dragged me back up into the earth's atmosphere, their hands tightly securing me.

I coughed out the water that impacted me and gasped the air that I so dearly missed. My braid had come undone and my face was covered in my wet hair, I wiped the hair off and started squinting and rubbing my eyes.

"Are you okay?" a familiar deep voice asked

I opened my eyes to see the person about two inches away from me, his strong arms grabbed my waist tightly. His hair that I could barely see was wet and looked good. I could only make out his green eyes that were still visible in the dark. The power they held over me surprised me as I looked at him stunned.

"How the hell did that happen?" he asked me kindly with a small chuckle as hooked my eyes deeper into his.

I try to speak but my mind instantly goes back to what just happened, "I- I just almost died," I told him with fear on my face as I shake uncontrollably, clutching the necklace tightly in my hand.

His grip tightened on me and he pulled me closer towards him, my stomach pressed to him, our skin feeling warm even though we were in cold water. I felt his toned body inflict onto mine and my breathing hitched at our touch.

"Thank you," I whispered to him as I stared into his beautiful green eyes that captivated me.

"You need to be careful," he slowly whispered not breaking our contact as his hands traveled from the sides of my wait to my back.

I quickly nodded and it went silent. I felt myself slightly lean in, I couldn't tell if it was him that was pushing me in or my body itself but I didn't care.

I couldn't see his lips but I wish I could. I wonder how they would taste. How they feel.

He leaned in towards me, his green eyes darting from my brown ones to my lips.

"I missed you, Heaven," he whispered, his breath hitting my face as his lips almost ignited with mine.

I open my eyes startled and scoot back away from him. I know this voice, I know Ashton. I swam slightly back, staring at him in horror. An evil smile uplifts on his face as he watches my reaction.

I quickly turn around, swimming back to the deck fastly, making sure to be careful with my injured foot.

"COME BACK HEAVEN! I AM THE ONE THING YOU LOVE AND YOU KNOW THAT" Ashton yelled while trying to find me in the dark. The splashes of the water and the sound of him yelling got closer. I felt my heart beat faster in fear as I try to swim faster.

Why would I still love the boy who showed me to never love again? The boy who-

"BRRT" he yelled.

"What?" I whispered to myself confused as I stopped, I was halfway to the deck by this time.

"BRRT!" he echoed again.

My tired eyes lifted open and I moved my comfortable legs in the soft sheets. The phone I left on my face before sleeping buzzing continuously.

I rubbed my eyes and looked at the screen.

Caller: Random Number

I rolled my eyes and pushed myself up from my comfortable sleeping position, resting my back and head on the bed board.

The nightmares are back.

That was it!

Who do you guys think Ashton is? What do you think Ashton did so bad to hurt Heaven that much?
