Should I try doing one chapter from Aiden's POV?

Chapter 6: 4 seats
"Mom you know I hate that shirt!" I whine at mom who was showing me a blue shirt with Elmo on it.

Tonight the parents have thought that it would be great for all of us to go out together. Which meant having to share a meal with the three boys. Yes, they're coming too. I, of course, didn't want to go but mom is forcing me to and the worst part is that she wants to pick my outfit. The last time my mom tried picking my outfit out I was 12 years old. I ended up having to get a suspension because a crop top and booty shorts were too inappropriate for 6th graders.

"Okay well, I don't know what you should wear. You pick it yourself," she replied while rolling her eyes and throwing the shirt angrily into the bin.

If she would've let me pick like an hour ago we could've been done by now.

I watch her walk out with her short yellow dress on that reached barely below her butt and she wore yellow heels to match with it. She had her hair in a bun and wore black sunglasses. We were inside so I didn't understand the point of them but I knew better to not comment.

As soon as she leaves I sigh of relief and stand up from my bed. I pick the shirt out of the bin and stuff it back into the suitcase.

Other than that, Aiden's been out of the Lakehouse continuously. He would leave a little early at night and I would only hear the front door quietly open while I was in the kitchen making tea or eating breakfast, it was always during one of those times. I've avoided conversation with him for the past 4 days and tried my best to find something else to do than argue with someone. Daniel and Gabriel haven't came to the house since Daniel's high incident, I'll be seeing them tonight though.

I walk to my small closet that was built in the very right-hand corner of the room. I started to search through the clothes I had and eventually became clueless. Mom wanted me to dress extra good today and even though that wasn't my style I know she would be mad if I didn't. But, I didn't expect much of going out when we came to the lake house if I knew I would have brought more clothes. I roll my eyes of annoyance and wipe the frustration off my face.

10 minutes in and I still can't find a damn "nice clothing". I scoff of annoyance and remember that I should be able to wear what I want to. I grab a black oversized tee and oversized khakis with my green air jordans. I lay the clothes on the bed and stand back to look at them from a distance.

"Suck that b*tch," I whisper as I smile triumphantly and pick the clothing up from where I laid it to go change.

After I finished dressing I focused on my hair, I grabbed my curly hair and spread it out to look more lengthy and volumed. I applied mascara and clear lipgloss to give my lips a plumper look and walked downstairs.

"God, what took you forever?" Aiden said interrupting my thoughts of me walking
on a runway. I walked over to the front door and stood there.

He was holding the door open. He had on a black shirt that had a nice texture, it clung onto his waist showing the outline of his abs and chest. The black jeans weren't too baggy nor too tight and fit him perfectly. His volumed black longish hair swayed in front of his face covering his forehead, the light that led out to the outside making hit tattoos more visible. His veins were popped out and traveled across his tan arms. God, one paper cut, and that kid was DONE FOR!

I laugh at my thoughts and quickly wipe my smile away when he stares at me blankly.

I cleared my voice and answered his question, "I was getting ready, no one asked you to wait for me," I replied with the same tone he held in his voice as I rested my hand on my hip and gave him a look.

"They asked me too," he said irritated as his hands squeezed tighter on the doorknob. His knuckles becoming slightly redder.

Awkward...

I ignored his comment and walked out past him, I made my best attempt to not trip and walked carefully down the two steps until I reached the rocky walkway. I stopped in my tracks when I saw the car the parents were starting to load themselves in. Only 4 seats?

I catch my mom before she gets inside the car and speed walk over to her. As she's about to get in I grab her arm slightly and pull her out, "Um there are only 4 seats," I whispered to her as I looked at her with a confused expression. Welma, Lane, and dad were all seated tightly and ready to drive off.

I did not get ready for us to not be going anywhere.

"Yeah hun I know," she said smiling as she gave me the "you're embarrassing me" look. She didn't recognize my confused expression and smacked her black lipstick colored lips together awkwardly.

"How are all 6 of us going to fit in here if there are 4 seats.." I asked her with a raised brow as I point from me and Aiden to them.

She laughs lightly and clutches the pearl necklace that hung around her small neck, "Oh you're going with Aiden, he didn't tell you?" she replied surprised as she gave me a confused look back.

I'd rather be squished in the damn trunk.

"Right, right," I lied as I gave her an awkward fist bump on her bare arm. She looked at me confused and I instead gave her a quick peck on the cheek and turned around to see Aiden leaning on the car door that was parked across from this car, staring at me. He had a smirk on his face as if my stupidness gives him happiness.

I watch my mom go inside the car and the parents all wave at us. They drive off and I smile until my smile forms into a frown.

A car ride with Aiden? Why don't you just throw me in a ditch if you hate me so much?

I roll my eyes and walk towards his car, my feet stomping. He had a black range rover, it was beautiful I wasn't going to lie.

"Did you think they were going to stuff you in the trunk or something," he asked as he played with the keys in his hands, his blue eyes looking at me as if I was dumb.

"I wish they did," I murmured. He chuckled and walked over to his side of the car leaving me at least 5 seconds of silence.

I close my eyes and picture of happiness but then Aiden pops into my head and the happiness quickly disappears. I fixed my clothing and opened the car door slowly, I hopped into the passenger's seat and sat down on the soft cushions of the car. Leather, that's lovely. I quickly buckle my seat belt and turn my head to face the window.

"You know I expected you to be a little smarter Heaven," he spoke in his quiet husky voice as I heard the car engine turn on.

His voice sent shivers down my body. It was calming and scary at the same time. How is that possible?

I swallowed and shifted slightly in the seat, "Well what did you expect, the car only had four seats," I replied annoyed as I slouched back in the seat. I crossed my arms over one another and looked ahead.

Eventually, I slowly turned to see him and realized one of his hands were gripped tightly on the steering wheel, he kept his eyes ahead. I could see the adam's apple and his well-defined jaw every light we passed.

The ride was silent, awkward silence. I kept my eyes to gaze out the window while I play with my rings. I've always had a habit of playing with them, they're just something that calms me down.

I sighed of boredom and faced back to the front window, "So..." I said clapping my hands together trying to break the silence.

I know Aiden and I had a hatred for each other but being awkward is not on my to-do list.

"So what?" he asked keeping his eyes on the road. He started to fix the collar bone of his shirt which started to slightly reveal his toned stomach.

Damn hormones.

"How long have your parents known mine?" I asked him as I gaze at the red light we've stopped at

"Not sure," he replied shortly as he clenched his jaw.

Wow an A+ for communication skills

I gave up on the conversation and looked out the window again, counting the stars that started to slowly appear on the gloomy night sky.

"We're here," he says after 5 minutes of driving. I sigh thankfully and hop out the car once he turns the engine off. Before he thinks of anything criticizing to say I start to walk off by myself.

I spot Daniel and Gabriel waiting in line with the parents and they didn't see me. I was pretty far from where the line was, of course, Aiden would park a 5-minute walk away from the actual place.

I suddenly felt a big rock hit the top of my shoe, and my foot went completely numb. I cried out in pain and closed both my eyes preparing to eat complete sh*t but realized I stopped mid-air.

I felt two strong hands grip the side of my waist and lift me from my almost falling position. The grip tightened as our bodies collided. My back was towards them and their broad chest pressed slightly towards my shoulders. I felt the urge to turn around but my body didn't move.

I felt the person slightly bend their position and felt their mint breath lingering on my ear, "Don't fall," Aidens voice whispered before releasing his hands from my waist and casually walking ahead of me.

I shook my head and tried to process what just happened. His grip it was...

No, just forget whatever happened.

I added a little spin towards the end LOL! How did you guys like this chapter?
