Chapter 4.
             Light brown eyes closed as the sound of her fingernails tapping the desk broke the uncomfortable silence. Light blonde bangs framed her pale complexion as she met eyes with other demon slayers and demons who have sided with the slayers. She sat back in her chair, and opened her mouth to speak but someone interrupted her.

"What the hell are we just sitting around for?" A shaggy brown haired teen with two red upside down triangle tattoos on his cheeks demanded, jumping from his chair. He wore a black jacket and pants. A loud bark was heard next to him. He looked at the large white dog that sat next to him. "Akamaru agrees with me! Why are we just sitting here when Gaara, Kankuro, Temari, and Naruko are in danger!" Silence greeted him and he frowned falling back into his chair.

"Kiba," A girl with long blonde hair and light blue eyes, spoke up, catching the brown hair teen's attention. Some of her hair was left down and over her left eye while the rest was tied into a long ponytail. "How exactly do you know if Naruko is really Naruko anymore?" She asked. Dark brown eyes met sky blue. Kiba opened his mouth to retort, but found that he had no answer to give.

"I... I don't know," Kiba replied. "But that doesn't mean we have to sit here on the sidelines and watch while Gaara, Temari, and Kankuro struggle to keep her safe."

"Kiba haven't you been paying attention?" A girl with short pink hair asked. Her emerald green eyes locked with Kiba's brown ones. "Naruko is reborn now. She is a man. His name is Naruto Uzumaki. We knew this for a long time now." She said, crossing her arms. Kiba blushed in embarrassment.

"Excuse me for not paying attention." He grumbled.

"I-It's okay, Kiba," Came a stuttered reply. Kiba looked over to his left meeting lilac eyes. His friend and comrade, Hinata Hyuga smiled, a light tint on her face. Kiba smiled back, still blushing. "W-We understand that you didn't pay attention." She said.

"Thanks Hinata." Kiba muttered. Hinata Hyuga was a beautiful girl. She had an incredible ability that gives her a near 360-degree field of vision around her, allowing her to notice acute movements, sense the aura of her enemies and allies, and even see through walls. This ability is called the Byakugan which is a bloodline ability passed down in the Hyuga clan for decades. She also has the ability to see into the future, which is precognition. Although, sometimes it is unclear whether her ability is sensed, though she acts along the lines of hearing or sight. However, Hinata has conscious control over the power. She also has the ability to tell when a person is lying – this ability's called lie detection.

Unlike Hinata, Kiba has very different abilities. He has tracking sense which is the ability to track any living thing and their distance in relation to him. Kiba also has the ability to teleport from one place to another. Although his abilities are limited, they are an essential part of the team.

"Inuzuka, if you're so worried about them, then you, Hinata, and Shino can go to Konoha and help them out." The blonde haired woman spoke up, authority laced in her voice. "I would like to wait until they've given us feedback, however," Kiba turned to the blonde, whose eyes narrowed with skepticism.

"L-Lady Tsunade?"

"Tsunade?"

Tsunade sighed, deeming it a good idea for Kiba, Hinata, and Shino to go see if Gaara, and the rest of them needed help. Suddenly the door burst open, revealing Tsunade's assistant, who was breathing heavily. "L-Lady Tsunade, O-Orochimaru is..." Before she could even finish the sentence, the woman fell to the ground unconscious. Tsunade jumped from her chair.

"Shizune!" Tsunade yelled. She looked at the two girls. "Sakura, Ino, take care of Shizune. Kiba, Hinata, Shino, go to Temari, Kankuro, and Gaara. If Orochimaru is awake, we need to take the appropriate amount of steps to get ready. Orochimaru won't rest until he has Naruto for himself." Sakura and Ino nodded, running to Shizune's aid while Hinata, Kiba, and Shino teleported to their destination along with Akamaru. Tsunade bit her thumb noticing those three had teleported. She sighed and decided that she'd yell at them later. For now, Shizune's wounds were top priority as well as any other person that was injured.

Temari hopped onto her bed, happy that the school day was over. She wrapped her arms around the pillow, cuddling with it. Gaara played with his harenkinesis, creating different forms of different objects and people. He smiled as he watched Naruto who stared at the sand with pure amazement. Kankuro played with his puppets, using his telekinesis. "Wow! You are just like me!" Naruto cried, happily. He gasped when he suddenly felt tears stream down his face. Gaara, Temari, and Kankuro watched him with worry.

"What's the matter Naruto?" Temari asked. Naruto shook his head. A small smile on his face. He knew why he was crying. He wasn't the only one with strange – unique – powers.

"N-Nothing, Temari, I'm just," His voice broke with each word said as his body shook violently. Gaara frowned, unconsciously pulling the boy into his arms. Naruto's eyes widened for a split second before they softened as more tears swelled in his eyes. He cried into Gaara's chest, finally realizing he wasn't alone anymore. He wasn't strange – he finally saw that his powers were a part of him; and a part of his past as well.

An abrupt thud was heard, and the four of them snapped to the front of the room. Temari blinked, confused as she recognized three people that had teleported inside the orphanage. Thankfully, she had the mental shield placed around the outside and inside of the room. Surprisingly, the only one that landed effectively was the dog. Naruto stared, eyes wide at the three. There was a girl with dark hair and white eyes that was on top of a boy who was blushing madly like her. She hopped off the boy who had shaggy brown hair and upside triangles on each of his cheeks.

There was another boy who had spiky brown hair and wore a pair of sunglasses. He also wore a turtleneck shirt and pants. The three of them stood up, dusting off imaginary dirt or dust. "Um," Naruto piped up, wiping off any stray tears that were on his face, though there were tearstains left on his face. "Who are you three?" He asked.

"M-My name's Hinata Hyuga," The girl smiled at him, bowing politely. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Naruto." Naruto blinked, standing up. "W-We've been sent to help T-Temari, G-Gaara, and Kankuro protect you." She explained. Naruto nodded slowly. Looks like I am truly not the only one with special powers and I thought I was. Naruto watched as the shaggy haired boy walked toward him, a toothy grin spreading across his face.

"The name's Kiba Inuzuka," He introduced. "This over here is Akamaru." He gestured to the dog who wagged his tail in response to his name. Naruto averted his gaze to Akamaru. Wow, that dog is huge! He thought. "That's Shino Aburame," Kiba then pointed to the silent boy standing next to Akamaru. Gaara scowled at the brunette, crossing his arms.

"So you were ordered by Tsunade weren't you?" The red head asked. Kiba locked eyes with Gaara. The sour red haired teen glared intensely at Kiba who seemed to be unaffected. Gaara raised an invisible brow. "Well?"

"As a matter of fact, yes, we were. Orochimaru is awake and apparent, Shizune was attacked by one of his men." Kiba explained.

"We should be temporarily enrolled into Naruto's school." Shino spoke up, arms crossed as he leaned against the wall. Temari nodded, sitting up on her bed. Kankuro listened to the conversation as he played with his puppets.

"Well, we have one threat that's bugging us." Kankuro spoke up. Kiba, Hinata, and Shino averted their gaze to Kankuro. Naruto, Temari, and Gaara did the same.

"Who might that be?" Kiba asked, raising a brow. Kankuro sighed. He opened his mouth to speak, but Temari had beaten him to it.

"Karin, the major Sasuke fan girl," Temari grumbled. She rolled her eyes, wishing that the red head would get over Sasuke. She knew Sakura and Ino did. Sakura did sort of, she loves Sasuke, but as a friend. Ino is the same way, knowing that Naruko was her friend and needed to support her. However, Naruko was now Naruto and there was a chance both girls could go back to fighting over Sasuke. Temari knew that wasn't the case. Things changed and if Sasuke and Naruto were to come back together, things would still be the same, but a little different nonetheless.

"Right now there's a barrier around us and the outside of this room. You three can stay the night if you want, but I don't suggest making yourselves known. Iruka doesn't know that you're here." Gaara explained. Kiba scowled.

"We were ordered to help. We're staying." Kiba said, simply. Gaara sent a glare toward the brunette who merely ignored him. Gaara sighed, defeated. He knew he needed to do what was best for Naruto. If Tsunade thought back up was needed, then he had no choice but to deal with the decision.

"Fine, stay as long as you like then. But make your presence less noticeable, got it?"

"Fine." Kiba replied while Shino and Hinata nodded their silent replies. It was getting late, so Kiba decided to take the first watch with Akamaru outside. Hinata stayed with Temari, sharing the girl's pajamas while Shino stayed with Kankuro since Gaara wanted to watch over Naruto.

That night Naruto had decided by choice to sleep with Gaara since he had put the younger children to sleep. Every night when Gaara and Naruto would have a sleepover Gaara would always sing a song that would put Naruto to sleep before Gaara could finish the song. Tonight was one of those nights. Gaara sighed.

I love you, He thought before finally going to bed.
