Oh well! I hope you enjoyed this. I'm actually sad this has finally ended. Oh my gosh. Well, thank you guys so much for read this and I hope you have a tissue box next to you. ;-; because this this a somewhat sad and happy ending.
Enjoy! Ps. There is flashbacks of Gaara throughout this chapter, past and present. They are merely remembering Gaara because well you know... 💔💔💔💔😞 I'm sad too!
"Yes, my lord," Gamabunta retorted, launching himself at Orochimaru and inflicting major wounds on the man. Naruto swallowed as sweat trickled down his face. My energy is... It's running out. Why is it that Gamabunta take so much from me? He thought. Blood splattered all over the ground and walls. Naruto's eyes shut tightly his body shaking violently.

Naruto gritted his teeth, crying out to Gamabunta that it was enough. That he there was no more to be done. He looked at Sasuke who was awake and was walking up to Orochimaru's dead body. Fire surrounded his hand as he lit the corpse on fire. Orochimaru was finally dead. Everything was finished but not okay.

Naruto ran up to Sasuke and pulled the demon into a passionate kiss. Sasuke's eyes widened in shock, but began to kiss back as the shock wore off. "Sasuke, thank god you're okay." Naruto whispered, tears streaming down his face. Sasuke smiled, kissing Naruto's temple.

"I'm glad you're okay as well." Sasuke replied. "My confidant, my lover." Naruto smiled. Lover... I could get used to that but.

"We should go on a date." Naruto blurted. Sasuke raised an eyebrow in confusion. Date? What's a...date?

"Wha-" Sasuke started but was interrupted by sobbing that was coming from Temari. The raven haired demon frowned, wondering what had happened. "What happened?" He asked Temari as he walked up to her and Kankuro.

"Gaara died. He...was killed fatally by Orochimaru." Temari replied. "Ugh! This sucks! He didn't deserve this! He didn't have to die!" Temari cried, falling into her brother's arms. Everyone gathered around Gaara's corpse, teary eyed and angry. Gaara had been a great and noble friend and slayer. It was an honor to work with him even though they didn't slay much demons and were focus more on Naruto and Orochimaru.

Naruto clenched his jaw, trying to keep from crying as memories of Gaara popped up left and right. Although he couldn't stop the stray tears that trickled down his cheeks without his consent.

"Hey Gaara, where's Temari and Kankuro?" Naruto asked. Gaara gave him a blank look before he finally spoke.

"They're already ate breakfast and are on their way to school. Come on, I promised you ramen remember?" Naruto beamed and gave Iruka a wave good-bye. Soon, they were out the door, and on the way to Ichiraku's Ramen Café. When they got there, they were greeted with a warm smile from the head server.

"Hi, Naruto, Gaara! How have you been?" She asked. "Welcome to Ichiraku's! What can I get you boys?"

"Miso please!" Naruto retorted, grinning.

"I already had breakfast, I'll just get a drink of coffee."

"Miso pork ramen and one coffee coming right up!" She grinned as she wrote down the order. Naruto blinked at Gaara, hearing the other's thoughts. He knew – because of his ability – that he could hear his thoughts through physical contact and feel the emotions. Because of that, he was able to figure out how Gaara felt about things and himself.

We loved going there on the way to school, Naruto thought, placing his hand on Gaara's cheek. He feels so cold... He let out a choked sigh. "I'm sorry, Gaara, I'm sorry you had to be the one to end up like this." He whispered softly. "I hope you see my past self and live happily with her... I'm sorry that I couldn't return those feelings that you had for me." He continued as he touched his lips.

"You were always there for me, Gaara," Naruto said, his voice getting louder and began to crack. "Wh-When I didn't know anything you were worried for me. You always..." Finally breaking, Naruto fell to his knees, his head rested on Gaara's stomach, sobbing.

"Is something on your mind, Naruto?"  Gaara asked.  Naruto's eyes met Gaara's sea green ones.  The blonde sheepishly grinned and scratched his head.

"W-Well, I've been having these strange dreams about people and demons."  Naruto answered.  Gaara raised an invisible brow, narrowing his green eyes, analyzing his friend. The red haired teen nodded.  He muttered a thank you to the server who had given him his coffee.

"I see, is there anything else?"

Naruto shook his head.  "No, nothing else Gaara.  You don't have to worry about me.  I'm perfectly fine."

"You need to start relying on others for help, Naru," Gaara said. "I understand you want to be independent, but..."

"Gaara, really, I'm fine.  Nothing else is bothering me."

"Promise?"  Gaara asked.

"Promise."  Naruto affirmed as he finished his miso ramen.  Once he was completely finished.  Gaara called the server for the check and paid for the food.  Naruto wanted to pay, but it was Gaara's offer. They left the café in a comfortable silence as they walked to school.  Naruto knew that he could hear Gaara's thoughts and he had been thinking about the one thing that had been tugging at his chest.

The feelings Gaara held for him. Naruto kept his thoughts to himself, not letting Gaara any further into his heart. He couldn't place it, but, he couldn't return the feelings Gaara felt for him.  Sure, they grew up together with Temari and Kankuro, but he wanted to save his heart for someone else.  He didn't know why, though, it was odd. He didn't know how to tell Gaara, but he thought it'd be best to let Gaara tell him about his feelings.  It was best.

"Naruto, watch out for the—" Unable to heed Gaara's warning, Naruto suddenly collided into a pole, hitting it hard.  He cried out in pain, his blue orbs closing tightly, preparing himself for more pain.  His eyes shot open, meeting sea green ones.  Naruto then realized the position he was in. Letting out a manly squeak, Naruto averted his gaze from Gaara.  "Pole."  Gaara finished his warning, breathing it out softly. Naruto swallowed.

"We...  We should be moving, Gaara, right?  No time for lollygagging," Naruto stammered, getting off of the red head.  Gaara blankly stared at the flustered blonde.  He didn't mind having the other boy on top of him, but it was different for the both of them in public.  The problem was, that through physical contact, Naruto was able to read his thoughts and feel his emotions.

Naruto sniffled and wiped his tears away. He tensed when he felt a hand on his head. He turned to see sea-green eyes open and Gaara smiled at him. A wide grin formed on Naruto's face. "Gaara!" Naruto shouted, hugging the red head just as everyone else piled on to him. Gaara continued to smile, feeling slight pain.

He felt even worse pain when someone had hit him. Hard. "Ow! Shit, Temari! What the hell was that for?"

"You're. An. Idiot." Temari replied through gritted teeth. "Now, shut up and answer the question. How the hell did you suddenly come back to life?"

"I... Well, I used the sand to make a clone of me." Gaara chuckled nervously which was uncharacteristic for him. Temari rolled her eyes and Kankuro just stared wide eyed at their little brother. "I'm fine really. The clone took a lot out of me."

Kiba wrapped his arm wound Gaara, grinning. "Never mind that! Orochimaru's dead and Gaara's still alive! Let's go celebrate!"

"Yeah!" And so everyone did. Naruto was still learning and regain his powers. He had also took it upon himself to teach Sasuke about dates and what you do one them. It was pretty fun. However who knows what could possibly lurk out there. There maybe worse enemies than Orochimaru. If there are, then Naruto will be ready for them with Sasuke at his side like it always should be.

THE END!
