That damned man.

Who suddenly announced that they were going to Russia in all of a sudden. In a second, as if deciding it for himself. And which it got her mind spinning for it, and no doubt that her heart and soul was excited for it. Spinning for it, throughout the night and including as of the moment.

Of that that she remembered, that she had to go and pack. That she was going to Russia.

She had to go and pack; and it was the weirdest thing ever as she had to gather all her things into a complete circle on the bed and pack it up in her suitcase. For the first time, and it was delusional, to think that all of those would fit, but it did.

And unbeknownst, she had missed, the hairbrush of her favorite morning schedule, and her bracelet. Which she took off and when she went into the shower the other night. And in the morning that she did, she zipped up, and left, as she went and joined with Cain towards her ride.

She had already packed her bags and she was ready to go.

Towards the airport.

And now here they were;

Two months that it had passed, and she had already arrived at the airport.

In Russia.

It might seem cold, but it was of no nuisance and not a new thing to her, considering the cold air she used to live, back in the Islands of Virginia.

It didn't seem that cold, as it snowed. As the snow fell and she looked around, with much grace that she could, as she observed the surrounding airport was not busy as usual. As she stepped out, and the shoes, of hers, pumps and blue whilst black at the edges met with the snow as it sunk in response.

And she looked forward, to meet the blindest, field of snowfall. And the trees, and a mansion, lined up against one another in a line. And she felt ecstatic.

"Stay close to me." He informed, as he spoke, and held a hand against hers.
To which it was covered with gloves, which he was silently disappointed, and it didn't feel anything like her hand. Tiny and warm to his skin. Which he loved so much. And to which, she forgot that he was a vampire, for quite a short while, and she jolted, before her shoulders relaxed and she walked alongside him out of the airport.

Even though she hadn't realised that they had to go back to the portal, the original world where she was born, and in order for them to go towards the airport. The only one that existed in the current island itself.

And to which, she forgot her home.

As she felt sad, and down as she walked, treading the thick snow as she felt something was missing, and she didn't know what it was. As she inhaled the cold air of snow and she enjoyed it altogether.

She had felt, quite hungry as she grabbed a snack. Bought it at the airport and also at the way out of the entrance. That she first got a drink of persimmon juice, and along with a fried, roll of vermicelli. As the man said. The man who served her and seemed too kind to her eyes. And also, before she threw the packaging into the trash bin, that she bought a bag of sweets. It was a kind of cake which had vanilla and almost seemed like a sweet tart. Vanilla, and it was a shame that she gobbled it up before she could even ask the man what it was.

Cain, should've been the expert on these things, about Russia, the food and its cuisine. But nonetheless she chewed it and it was gone, and she was left out, dragging her medium-sized baggage of her bag, that trolled down away as she walked, and quite surprised to meet the snow.

The walk was not too long as he held her hand. "Let's grab a coffee." He announced, suddenly, she was surprised to hear him say that, but it didn't seem surprising to her anymore since it was him.

As he practically grabbed her hand and dragged her towards a direction she was unfamiliar of. But she could see a place from afar. A house. Warm, and a brown vintage in color. And as they approached closer, she seen it to be a café some sort of resting spot or a restaurant.

And she looked at him.

"We'll be grabbing a little snack here, and a drink." He announced and they walked towards the door, pushing the door inside and she saw there were a couple of people there. Probably not their busiest of days, but they seemed to enjoy their coffee and drinks as they brought it into their mouths. And it seemed a lot like Starbucks, but she just had to be unlucky and missed the writings on the roof. The logo; and what its name was.

And that that they arrived at the cashier, or the counter. To which there was a man, quite cute to her eyes as it was her first time seeing a foreigner. He was not that tall and not quite short either. His hair was blonde and his eyes were inexplicably blue as he stared down at the screen. He wore a green and blue apron and was looking down, and he looked up.

They met eyes together, and he thought that she looked cute;

Averithe, with her red hair and grey- almost blue eyes it may seem. Unaware, of it, and that she smiled back. Tiny, but it did suffice. As they exchanged looks and he thought she was quite cute. Looked cute.

And Cain didn't even spare a second for them to continue as he glared at him, then gave a look at her. A threatening kind of look. While the waiter turned away, so did she and landed on the array of desserts formated in a line. It looked quite beautiful and organized. As the color of white, chocolate and strawberry pink filled her eyes, it was to die for and she drooled over them.

As Cain didn't spare another second and grabbed her by the waist and pulled her closer to him. Accidentally, nudging her palm to which she felt was cold and she snapped at him. But she remembered that he was a vampire. Again, she forgot. As she stared down guiltily and casted her gaze elsewhere, looking around.
And not remembering to order a single menu.

She saw the cashierman looking at them from the corner of her eye, and he spoke, "Hello, how may I help you?"

"Yeah, we're here to order the double coffees. One is a dark Americano and the other one is -"

"A chocolate coffee." She cut him off, as she turned to the server. Probably ignoring the man next to her who seemed to almost seethe at her. Maybe not. And the man flashed his blue eyes at her and she almost smiled in return.

She didn't know if she wanted to laugh or to admire at his face. Clean, and baby-faced as it was. Maybe it was all because of the snowy weather he lived in.

"Right. It will be right up. Normal sugar?"

"Yes -- "

"The other one will be a normal sugar, and with ice." She spoke, cutting him off.

"No sugar for the Americano." He spoke ruffingly against the man, who smiled, mostly at her then glanced down at his screen.

"Okay, that will be 2 coffees and a total of €30." He spoke, and which she just noticed, to the side that the arrays of desserts seemed to be calling her and they looked to be very delicious. It was was mouth-watering as she gulped and she almost stole them from the display cabinet itself. Which she couldn't, use any telepathy or invicibility magic.

And she had no time nor the bravery to add up to her order. As she heard the ring of the cashier and the man kept their money stored, "Please wait, have a seat, your order will be up soon."

Cain nodded that he did and practically took her away. The table that he saw was no good, so he looked down at her,
"Where should we sit?" She asked.

That he took a deep breath. "That seat is nice." He mumbled.

To which he did, or they did, walk and sat down, near the window-seat, and she could see the side of the road, full of snow with its building and people passing by.

It was not long that they waited. Averithe didn't seem to feel bored as she waited, sitting in front of a man who practically wanted to attack her and smooch her altogether. Unbeknownst to her, he might didn't seem to like it at all, but all he thought about was how ignorant and how relaxed she looked right now.
Including that cashierman.

And it didn't take that long until her order came up. Or their order.

As her head snapped towards the cashier and Cain said, "I'll get it." He spoke.

To which he stood at a drag of a chair and made his way towards the counter.

He came with a glass of her drink. It didn't seem too cold, and not a lot of ice blended in, but it was exactly as she ordered. An original, normal iced chocolate coffee. And she didn't protest as she took a sip. Surprised at its taste to be refined, and she could taste the coffee and the vanilla extract as well.

"Let's go." He ushered.

"Where?" She took a sip. Looking up at from beneath her eyelashes. Confused.

He halted, "Let's drink it outside." He spoke.

She swallowed.

"Okay."

As she didn't hesitate to get up, she'd probably thought that it was not a good idea.

To which she didn't have much to protest, as she nodded at him. Even though she knew it was snowing outside, she walked alongside him as he pushed the door, and they walked and stood outside on the snowy sidewalk, standing next to each other. A pole, almost covering their view, that she saw a couple, and behind them a couple of people passing by, walking in their snowy thick boots.

And she took a sip. It still really tasted nice. It was divine. It matched her taste buds, the taste of a mellow, relaxing drink you could drink anytime. Which she would drink everyday if it was at her hometown. Back in Virginia, and she started to think about the safety of her house. The blankets of her room. And a splurge of homesick attacked her. And she started to feel homesick as she drank another sip, and it was gone as soon as it came.

The waft of the coffee, and vanilla may distract her from the moment, and altogether she forgot what she was thinking about. As the scent of vanilla lingered And wafted inside her mouth, she couldn't be happier. Obliged and serene, in a saying. And it didn't feel that cold despite the weather. Compared to the snow outside, her cup of chocolate drink seemed to be a breeze, to her body, and to her tastes.

As they stood silenced beside each other, he didn't think much as he looked at her. For a glance that he did, probably wondering why he took her to this place. He shouldn't have. It would mean walking towards his own death - and he kept it in mind to think of the places to go inside his mind before he took her to it.

And as she stood beside the man, she had nothing to think about but the enjoyment of butterflies she was feeling as she sipped on her drink. It had been a while since she had chocolate and coffee together. It tasted really nice and sublime, and she felt nothing but feel the warmth of him. Suddenly, she noticed, his presence, big and tall, as if protecting her. They didn't say anything to each other.

As she sipped another sip of her drink. Quite cold to her tongue now, it felt semi-cold as she gulped, and she heard him slurp his coffee.

"Is it no sugar?" She asked.

"Yes." He answered, quite shortly and flat at her.

Cain, with his overprotective senses sensed that she craved something. Wanted something, and so he asked,
"Averithe, do you want some dessert?" He asked.

To which Averithe replied with a blank stare.

"Back at the shop; I could buy you something." He responded.

To which she responded without a cause and saw him turn around and walked towards the cafe.

"Y- yes." She replied, late, as he turned around and she saw so much care in his eyes of which she noticed, and that he spun around again and walked towards the door.

"I'll be back in a minute." He announced as he pushed the door open, and disappearing into the cafe that he went, she was left alone on the sidewalk, snowing, and it seemed like it was years before she had met with the snowfall again. Of much that she didn't remember.

It might seem nothing, but it was a whole deal to her.

She had drooled over the white and the chocolate dessert next to it. And it was a silly mistake, to her; stupid just for a thought. And even as if though she hadn't told him which one she wanted, it could be fine either way. He had always brought and bought the things she had found interesting or desired altogether. One way or another, he just knew.

And just as she waited, she suddenly saw a man, and a woman. They were tall, and brooding. Both heights she'd never seen before, and they were tall.

As they both glanced at Averithe, as she was caught observing at them as she looked away. Still, she could feel the eyes of them on her. Creepy, and quite disturbing. And it made her feel quite shy, and she didn't know what to do or how to react.

Until Cain decided to pop out and stand beside her.

She felt a nudge on her elbow. He frowned down at her. "Are you okay?" He asked.

"Yes." She replied, silently as her hair huffed to be a puff of snow into the clouds.

To which she was handed over a plastic bag. Tiny, and a transparent of a white cream that she could see, as she awed and slightly gasped. "Thank you."
She might have been a little proud at him, as she saw him nod from the corner of her eye, and sipped on her drink, before she rummaged through it.

As she took out the dessert, wrapped in light plastic and a small spoon at the side, she took a bite. And it was divine as much as it looked. And she couldn't help but smile, as she faced towards the snowy road, and standing at the sidewalk; it couldn't be a much better situation for her.

What she didn't know was that he had brought her an extra piece; a brownie of cute of its stature with a cherry on top. And a berry, of the complete package as Cain ordered to be a Large. At the customer services which he requested and which she would soon to find out.

She didn't notice, that there was another one. Something looming beneath the transparent bag. A small dessert, of its cute looking, and she peeked to see it turning out to be a brownie. Of a round and cupcake-looking, with a cherry on top that she was surprised at, and she couldn't help but look up at him in admiration. A whole lot of proud that he bought it for her.

"Thank you." She whispered lightly under the snow.

And that that he nudged her with his body, slightly too close for her liking, and of a distance which she could not measure no more. And they stood beside each other as she sipped on her drink. Quite halfly drunken now, and she had nonetheless, not feel bored at the moment. Quite enjoying the scenery and the air to which she suddenly noticed and felt that his body was warm. Quite warm, of a warmth that he radiated. And she had nothing but protest.

As she looked at him, as he did nothing but stared off blankly into the air, and he probably had finished his drink. Weirdly, which she didn't seem to notice and much too fast inside her head.

And she wanted to ask whether he threw it in the trash bin, or when he threw it. But she didn't ask as she observed the snowy road.

And it was of the moment that he remembered he was holding a ceramic cup. Like a usual coffee drinker used to use, everyday when they went to a coffee shop.

And she felt like the biggest lunatic ever.

For a while, she had thought nothing about the snow. To which she had paid no attention to until she felt the looming presence of the man beside her.

And she had thought that he was a man.

Which of that she felt that her amulet slightly glowed. Or the pendant that he gave her, slightly ommitted off a color, and a slight warmth on her chest.

Which he didn't seem to notice; and she looked, slightly glanced down and was shocked to see the change in color. And its extravagant color of a bright shade. And it was red. A tint red at its center of its color that it glowed, which matched the color of his eyes, the day that he saw her during his studies.

The deep red that it glowed, the color of a familiar red on the pendant, a Jade Emerald of a dark shade that it took, the green seemed to cover and envelope the tiny bright light at the center. As if its another layer, and a part of it.
Which was a maze, for her to be confused or in awe of it.

And she regretted that she knew- deep inside her heart which of how it worked.
Or what it means.. That the amulet would also glow in response to the man whose eyes she recognized so much, the same shade of color, that she saw once, and it imprinted in her head, which she considered to be beautiful. And here she was, staring at the same color on her charmed pendant. A necklace which she got so comfortable of wearing. And of which it spreaded a slight warmth across her chest that she was annoyed by it. Of that that it did.

A deep red. A blood red it seeped into her core, into her bones as it wafted and she hoped that it wouldn't spread any further.

To Cain, Averithe had not seen the look on his face. How his eyes suddenly glowed a flash, a light shade then it turned awfully dark. A Ruby.

And in her head, she knew, that it was love.
