"I'm sorry, did you say you were her mother?" I asked in disbelief.

She simply nodded.

I stumbled over my words, eventually just quitting what I was going to say. Regan looked between both of us with a confused expression. I was about to explain to her but then several people began to surround one spot near the edge of the island.

"What- what's going on over there?" I called out to one of the people.

"There's a girl, she's badly injured." They called back.

My eyes widened. It has to be [y/n]! I shrugged the blanket off my shoulders and ran full speed towards the group, shoving through them to get to [y/n]. As soon as I saw the state she was in, my heart broke in two. The right side of her head was pouring blood by the minute and her stomach.. oh god.. her stomach had Regan's pocket knife sticking out of it.

I fell to my knees, catching [y/n] before she fell. I pulled her into my arms and lifted her with ease.

"Which house is the infirmary?" I yelled.

Everyone began to guide me in the direction of the Doctor as I held [y/n] in my arms. When I approached the door, it was already open.

"Here, place her here." A voice called from within the house.

I followed the voice until I saw a Doctor and nurse standing next to a metal bench. I quickly placed her on the surface and watched as the Doctor began his work.

"I'm going to have to cut her shirt off to be able to see the wound." He said.

I just nodded and stepped back to give them space. I looked at my hands to see nothing but blood covering them.

"Is she going to be okay?" I asked, my voice trembling.

"Look kid, I can't tell. But if we can get the knife out and stitch her up without trouble, then yeah." He said whilst the nurse cut off [y/n]'s shirt, revealing blood ridden skin. The doctor passed the nurse a towel and the nurse laid it over your semi covered chest.

Regan came into the room with the woman from before. I still couldn't tell if that woman was lying or not about being [y/n]'s mother but,, I'm sure if.. when she wakes up, she will know.

A sudden rapid beeping noise came out of nowhere. I looked around the room for an answer when the doctor pointed at the heart monitor.

"She's spiking. We need to get that knife out if her now." The doctor said, his voice slightly stressed.

"Marcus, that's your name?" The nurse questioned?

I nodded.

"Come here and hold her down, she can't move or else we can't get the knife out!" She ordered.

I quickly walked over to [y/n]'s body as she began to shake. I placed my hands on her shoulders, preventing her from moving. The doctor began to operate on her stab wound, causing [y/n] to erupt in screams of agony. I winced everytime she screams, feeling empathy. I knew the pain she was feeling and it hurt knowing I couldn't keep her from being in pain. I pulled my hands from her shoulders as she stopped moving.

"What's wrong?! Is she okay?!" I yelled, scared for her life.

"She's fine, she just passed out. All we have to do is stitch her up and she will be okay." The nurse replied, cleaning the equipment.

I sighed, I flush of relief flowing through my body.

"She's going to be okay." I signed to Regan.

As soon as I signed those words, Regan let out a breath she didn't know she was holding in. She smiled at me with her reassuring smile.

I looked back at [y/n] as she started to stir.

' marcus ' she whispered with a raspy voice.

y/n POV

"Marcus" I mumbled.

I held up my hand to shield my eyes from the bright light. My vision slowly healed and I could see people standing above and around me.

"Marcus?" I asked again.

"I'm here, I'm right here love." He said, holding a hand to my cheek.

I smiled, only a small amount of pain was left in my body. Thank the pain killers for that.

"I think there's someone you're going to wanna see." Marcus said, kissing my forehead then moving back.

I looked in his direction to see a beautiful woman,, a familiar woman,, standing next to Regan. Her face slowly became clearer as my eyes adjusted to the rooms light.

"Mum?"

AU- OMG three chapters in one day?! Yea well that's all I'm writing for a bit because I just watched 'the walking dead S8 E9' and I am crying my eyes out no joke. I felt my heart crack I swear. Anyhow, I will update again don't worry! Love all of you!! <3
