"[y/n]! Where have you been?" Marcus shouted as he saw me approach the train station through the trees. He ran up to me and wrapped his arms around my waist in a tight hug. I quickly returned the favour and held my arms around his neck.

"I've just been out looking for boats, thought I could save some time." I responded, pulling away from Marcus's hug.

"Didn't you read the note I left behind?" I asked.

"Uh.. I didn't see a note.." He mumbled, rubbing his neck as if he were embarrassed.

"Did you find any boats?" Regan signed from behind Marcus.

"Yeah,, But they are about a four hours walk from here." I sighed back.

Regan and Marcus sighed whilst turning to each other. They didn't look too pleased about having to walk four hours.

"We should get going if we want to arrive there before dark. It's already past mid-day." I told them.

The walk was tiring, considering I had gotten no sleep at all last night. However that was my choice.

"Oh.. god" Marcus mumbled. Hints of disgust in his voice.

I stopped behind him and looked up from the ground. I had only just realised that we were standing on one end of the bridge. I glanced at the mess a few feet Infront of Marcus, already knowing what it was.

"Do you think it was a Death Angel that killed the man?" Marcus asked.

I just muttered a quick ' I don't know ' and continued walking along the bridge. It was hard enough as it was having to see that man again, knowing that I was the one who murdered him. What would Marcus think of me if he knew? For now that doesn't matter, I just have to get Regan to a boat and then we can go back home.

The sun was close to setting and the birds began to quiet down. We were reaching near the docks but something just didn't feel right. Lanterns were already lit which meant that someone had to have been here, whether it was earlier today or right now. It felt as if someone was watching us and I know the other two felt it as well. They both walked beside me with an uneasy look. Marcus's hands were slightly shaking as he held mine.

"Something isn't right here." I whispered to Marcus.

He just nodded and inched closer to me. My eyes met with Regan as she gave me a reassuring smile. I could tell she was forcing it but so was I. I looked behind me, feeling the presence of another person, but no one was there.

"[y/n] look." Regan signed to me and pointed Infront of us.

There sat a small child. She was crouched over on her knees as small sobs came from her mouth. Marcus looked at me before walking towards the girl. I quickly grabbed his arm, pulling him back. He gave me a questionable look when I shook my head. I moved my eyes to one of the boats, seeing multiple figures watching us. Marcus followed my eyes until he saw them too. I pulled him behind me and walked towards the little girl. I knelt down so I was almost eye level with her. I looked back over my shoulder when I felt a hand touch mine. It was Regan, and she was handing me her pocket knife. I smiled, tucking the knife into my pocket as I turned my attention back to the girl.

"Are you alright?" I whispered to her.

Eventually, the girls sobs stopped and she looked up into my eyes. Without warning, she quickly brought her hands above my head and pulled down a rope, tightening it around my neck.

My eyes widened as I struggled for air. Marcus went to chase after the girl when she began to run, but I reached my arm for his in attempts to hold him back. I fell onto my knees as I began to lose air. Marcus stood Infront of me in a protective manner as several people began to surround us. Two of them towered over either side of Regan. I watched in disgust as one of them dragged his knife over the cord of her hearing aid.

These people, their eyes were blood shot and their hair clearly had many knots. The clothes they wore had rips and their skin had dirt smudged over it. The way they looked, it was how the man looked on the bridge.

I tried to stand from my kneeling position but was forced to stop when clanking sounds came from behind me. A bunch of cans were attached from the rope, preventing me from standing. Out of the corner of my eyes, I could see an outline of a creature approach the docks. Followed by two more behind it. I squinted my eyes, trying to see clearly. I gasped when I saw three Death Angels appear in the light of the lanterns. They jumped from boat to boat, alarming the near by people. Regan squeezed out of the men's grip as they were distracted and stumbled towards Marcus and I. My eyes darted from Angel to Angel as they attacked each and every one of the people at the dock. Screams so loud that they rippled the water surrounded us.

"[y/n].. why are they killing everyone? I thought you could control them?" Marcus said, his voice raised so that he could be heard.

"I- I don't know. They're not listening to me!" I cried. I pulled Regan's knife from my pocket and began to cut at the rope around my neck. Just as the rope was released from my neck, I noticed Regan had began to walk backwards. I quickly stood and rushed over to her to see a Death Angel slowly stalking us.

"[y/n] make it stop." Regan signed, her hands trembling out of fear.

"I'm trying, it's not listening." I signed back.

"[y/n] we have to go now!" Marcus whisper yelled from behind me. He grabbed hold of my hand and pulled me back.

"Where the hell can we go from here?" I whispered back.

Regan must had been reading our lips to understand what we were talking about because she turned both of our heads to the water. I instantly knew what she meant. I turned to Marcus with pleading eyes as I shook my head.

"No I am not going into the water!" I whispered desperately.

"[y/n] you have too, otherwise we are going to die because that thing is creeping closer by the second and it's going to tear us apart!" He whispered, pulling me closer to the edge of the dock.

The Death Angels face began to open as it was only a few steps away from us. Everything felt as if it was in slow motion. My eyes watched in fear as it pounced at Regan, Marcus and I. Why was it doing this? Why wasn't it listening to me? Was it because I killed a person? That's what they do anyway.

I suddenly felt Marcus pull my body down into the water before the monster was on top of me. Coldness began to swallow my whole body as I struggled to reach the surface for air. Black dots began to form in the corners of my eyes. The last thing I saw before my mind was consumed in nothing but darkness was the creatures head disappear from the top of the dock. I had no way in knowing if Marcus and Regan were still alive.

I could only hope.
