I don't know what to call the baby, it literally doesn't have a name in the movies. Comment Baby Names!!

It's been a day since Baby Abbott was born. We were supposed to head for the hills by midday yesterday, however Evelyn insisted that we stay to let Lee recover a little from the nasty gash across his stomach. If I'm being honest, I really needed a rest too. My whole body was in pain from the amount of running, walking and injuries I took from the other night.

Marcus and Regan were in the house, packing a few things from their rooms to bring with them. I was currently sitting on a bench outside, my track pants rolled up to my knees as Evelyn carefully dabbed the blood away from the cuts on my legs. I winced, automatically retracting my leg away from Evelyn. She looked at me, a saddened but calm look in her eyes.

"[y/n] honey, what happened that night for all these cuts to show?" She asked, pulling my leg into her hands to continue cleaning it.

"That's a stupid question." I huffed. I mean it really was.

She sighed before continuing.
"I wasn't with you the other night, I don't know what kind of horrors you had to face."

"Well, I was knocked out for half of it so-" I mocked myself, annoyed that I felt weak.

"Marcus told me about that, how he felt as if he were carrying an Angel in his arms." Evelyn said.

"He said that?"

Evelyn laughed at my question before speaking.

"[y/n], for an intelligent woman, you are quite oblivious when it comes to love."

"LOVE?!" I yelled, causing Lee to look in our direction. Evelyn just waved her hand at him and he continued taking down the washing.

"Yes love, he is quite fond of you. Anyone could see from a mile away that Marcus is totally mad about you." She said, finishing off my wounds.

"You really thin-"

"I know, [y/n]. A mother always knows.” she said before walking off with a wink.

What is it with this family and walking away from me. I was left sitting under a tall apple tree, blushing like no tomorrow.

It had just become midday and all of us were prepared to leave the farm once and for all. Well, maybe not all of us. I was the only one hesitant about leaving. Marcus and Regan were excited about finding a new place to live, Marcus was still nervous though. I'm not quite sure about Evelyn and Lee, but they looked ready enough considering the state both of them were in. I ignored my negative thoughts as we began to walk away from the house, towards the hills. Lee suggested we head in the direction of a fire tower he saw lit one night, as there were likely people there.

The traveling process was terrible. We had no sand, no shoes and nothing to help us walk quietly. Rocks and dry leaves would carve through my heels wherever I tried to step. I know that I can somewhat control the Death Angels and that it would be easier if I just told them to leave us alone, but I don't know whether it's something I can always control whenever I want to or not. I'm not risking anyone's life to find out, unless I hate them, then bye bish.

We'd been walking for about 2 hours now. Oh who am I kidding, I have absolutely no idea how long it's been. Baby Abbott was getting restless and it was a worry to all of us. Evelyn and Lee were towards the front of the group, Regan in the middle and Marcus behind a little, which was okay since that's where I was anyway. But it also wasn't okay since all I could think about was what Evelyn had said to me before. Her words lingered in my mind and I was unable to shake then away.

I caught Evelyn and Lee looking back at us a few times. I thought it was just to check on us, that was until they started smirking and smiling at each other. Like hello, This isn't a love show. Marcus didn't seem to notice their actions, but I certainly did. I gave them a quick glare before they turned back around. It seemed to work because they didn't look at me again.

The comfortable sensation was drowned by uncertainty when we approached a large abandoned factory. Vines spilt over all the gutters of the roof and weeds grew through the cracks of the concrete. A tall, metal fence with wire shaped into diamonds surrounded the building. Plants tangled around every inch of the fence. Damn, I swear I even saw a tumbleweed at some point.

Shivers were sent down my spine as we crossed over the fence. Technically, this was trespassing even though no one was here to book us for it. I noticed the sunlight reflect off of something that was on the ground, but I didn't see it properly until it was to late. Evelyn's ankle triggered a trip wire which was connected to a large collection of glass bottles.

There's only one reason a place like this would be rigged, and that's because someone lives here. Lee tugged at Regan and Evelyn's arms, signalling them to run. Marcus and I quickly began to follow behind, trying not to step on any prickly plants on the way.

I felt my heart pounding as I began to run faster. Fear was taking over my body, I wasn't thinking properly. My figure was frozen when a strong forced pulled me to the ground by the arm. I wipped my head around, looking behind me. My heart dropped to my stomach when I finally realised what had happened.

Blood, lots of blood.

Marcus had caught his leg in a bear trap. My eyes widened when I saw him turn pale. I quickly pulled his face close to mine and tried to calm him down.

"I know it hurts, but you can't scream. Please don't scream." I whispered frantically. I'm not sure if my words even made sense to him. All he did was nod. I could tell he was trying to hold in the pain and not scream. Lee, Regan and Evelyn stumbled to the ground around us, tears brought to their eyes for this was extremely hard to witness.

"It's okay, It will be okay." I whispered again. I was kneeled beside Marcus, holding him close as I tried to keep him calm. Lee began to carefully pry the trap open, only for it to crunch back down into Marcus's ankle. The sudden screech that left his mouth had me heart broken.

"Please, I know it hurts, but please stop screaming." I whispered again, tears now threatened my eyes as well.

I didn't know what to do, I needed to muffle his screams somehow but putting my hand over his mouth wouldn't work at all. Without hesitating, I pulled Marcus close to my face once again and brushed my lips against his. Instantly his screams died down and he relaxed into the kiss. He brought one hand to my waist and his other to my cheek. I didn't even notice everyone staring until Lee cleared his throat. I pulled away from Marcus and looked at Lee.

"Well it worked, didn't it?" I said. Lee just smiled and rolled his eyes.

Marcus snorted before quickly covering his mouth from pain.  Amused by my words, he sent me a quick grin, although it was wiped away by pain once more. We managed to get the trap off without causing him any more injuries. I pulled his arm over my shoulder and helped him to his feet. We had no choice but to hide somewhere inside since the Death Angels would be here any minute. As we approached the entrance of the building, I thought I saw the outline of a man from one of the towers outside.

I guess it was just my brain playing tricks again.

AU- I seriously need your help to name Baby Abbott. I can't keep calling him that for the whole book :,)
