I woke up feeling a burst of excitement for tonight. Ever since Logan told me yesterday he was taking me to the symphony in the city, I couldn't help but think if he meant it as a date or just as friends. Although yesterday he said he was planning on dating me, I never asked when he was planning on actually asking me out. Either way, I just kept wishing the day away so tonight would come faster.

After I got ready for school my phone started to vibrate, looking down at it, I saw Charlie calling me.

"Where have you been? You never told me what happened after Logan left two days ago, you promised to tell me" she shouted through the phone.

"Well I was kind of busy because he didn't actually leave that day, he left yesterday night."

"What?! What happened? Why'd he stay over? Did anything happen between you guys?" she interrogated. I summarized what happened between us for the past day with excitement. I felt myself blush as I told her everything from getting each other wet at the sink to when he left last night.

"How are you guys not dating? You guys act like a couple, so why not be one?"

"He doesn't want a relationship right now, he said he literally can't have one, but he promised soon, he just had to sort out a few things" I explained from what I remember him telling me.

"Maybe he has a psycho ex, or maybe...yeah that's all I can think of."

"No he's not the type, he said it's family stuff, but come to think of it...I don't think he's had a girlfriend" I said as I tried to remember if he ever mentioned having a girlfriend, but nothing came to my mind.

"Well that's a lot to take in, what are you hoping to get out of tonight?" she asked as I hesitated to answer.

"I'm...I don't know. I don't think it's a date, but now that I think about it...I should probably ask him."

"No don't do that, you don't wanna be that kind of girl," she warned.

"You're right," as I finished, a text showed up on my phone from Logan saying he was in the living room waiting for me. "Shit I gotta go."

"Wait why?"

"He's here, he's driving me to school," I answered while smiling.

"Awww, that's so cute, have fun tonight, tell me how it goes," she said as I grabbed my coat and bag and headed down the stairs to meet Logan.

"Ok I will, bye," I chuckled as I hung up the phone and my eyes met Logan's.

"Who were you talking to?" He questioned as he grabbed my bag for me.

"Charlie," I answered.

"Who the hell is Charlie and why don't I know him?" I smiled at his curiosity then laughed because he didn't remember Charlie from the party.

"Charlie...my friend...who is a girl."

"Were you guys talking about me?" He smirked.

"Why would we talk about you. I couldn't think of a more boring topic to talk about over the phone," I lied as his smile grew wider.

"Jones, you don't have to keep lying. It's totally normal, a bunch of girls talk to their friends about me, you don't have to be embarrassed."

"You know what? You're right, I was talking about you, I was just telling her about what an arrogant dick you are," I grabbed my bag and walked towards the door.

"Oh come on, it was a joke" I heard his foot steps follow me. I felt him getting closer, then a grip held my wrist to turn me around. "You're seriously not mad at me are you?"

"Did I say I was mad? No I didn't. I'm not mad. Can we go now?" I shot at him. I didn't feel mad, but I didn't like when he said a bunch of girls talk about him.

"No we can't go, there's something wrong with you and we're not leaving this damn house until I figure out what it is, so you can make it real easy and just say what's on your mind," he dropped my hand which made me feel more uncomfortable.

"I'm not mad, I think I just got jealous for a few seconds, it's stupid, now can we go?"

"What are you jealous about?" He ignored my question with his.

"Well you said that...other girls talk about you...and it just made me realize that a bunch of girls like you and talk about you and you have so many girls to choose from and it made me feel insecure for a moment, but it's over" I explained looking down at my fidgeting hands. Next thing I know, his arms are wrapped around me in a hug.

"I see all those girls and all I can think about is how lucky I am to have met you. They are all the same, they'll never be you, remember that" his words made my heart drop out of my chest. He kissed the top of my head and parted from the hug. "So we're good?" He analyzed my face for a moment which had a smile tugging at it. "Yeah were good, let's go" he answered his question while he placed his hand on my lower back leading me towards the door.

Once we got in the car he leaned towards me until our faces were an inch apart, "what are you..." I didn't finish my question after I realized what he was doing. He grabbed the seatbelt behind me and leaned back to buckle it.

"You thought I was going to kiss you?" He looked over at me with a smirk.

"For a second, yeah," I answered feeling myself blush.

"I didn't, but if you want me to, all you have to do is ask" Logan winked with an abundance of confidence. I wanted to ask...a lot, but it was probably for the better if we didn't. He turned back to pull out of the driveway with a wide smile plastered on his face. I found my eyes glancing at him the entire drive to school. I couldn't avert my stare and kept thinking about how perfect he looked.

It was lunch and I sat down at the table across from Alivia, Teddy, Frankie, while Logan sat next to me.

"Ms. Brown assigned 4 assignments, 2 essays—" Alivia started.

"Holy shit" I interrupted as I suddenly felt Logan's hand grip my thigh. He tried to hold his laughter in, but it wasn't subtle.

"What?" Alivia asked sounded confused.

"Nothing...that's...just a lot of work," Logan laughed at my quick save.

"What's so funny?" She asked as she smiled not understanding what was so funny to him.

"Nothing, her reactions to certain things are funny," he smiled nodding his heads towards me.

"Yeah," I put my hand on his leg where he placed his on mine. His eyes widened in shock and started blushing. "Yours are pretty funny too," I smiled.

He leaned towards me and whispered in my ear, "You trying to feel me up, Jones?" I smiled at his question while removing my hand and started to eat.

"Ooh, can I have one?" Logan asked as he nodded to the strawberries in front of me.

"Sure," I answered while picking up a strawberry and putting it in his mouth since one of his hands was occupied on my leg. Once he was done, I let him lick my fingers and noticed the silence coming from everyone. Logan and I both turned our heads to see Teddy, Frankie, and Alivia stare at us with wide eyes and their jaws dropped.

"What?" Logan and I both ask at the same time.

"Are you guys....dating?" Teddy asked with a shocked look.

"No, why?" I asked furrowing my brows together.

"Well...you guys kinda act like you do," Frankie explained.

"We do?" We asked in sync again. They all nodded their heads in reply.

"Why don't you guys just date anyway, you might as well be a couple if you act like that," Alivia reasoned.

"Cause it's not the right time, plus we're both fine with the way things are as friends" he answered. I felt as if he was lying. There is no way he is happy like this being just friends and if it's not the right time now, will it ever be the right time? I looked down at his hand still on my leg trying not to seem phased by his words. My phone was on the table and it turned on as I got a text. Logan took my phone as he glanced at it and read it before I had the chance. "What the fuck is this?" He voiced sounding furious.

"Why? What does it say?" I asked feeling concerned.

"You look beautiful today...from Nate" he read off the screen. I looked over to Teddy, Frankie, and Alivia who all wore shocked faced. I then glanced at Logan who looked pissed.

"You're mad aren't, aren't you?" I asked looking down with a blank stare.

"Do you even have to ask?" I could see the intensity of his anger grow as he kept staring at the screen. "Here," he handed me my phone. "Take your phone before I break it," I took the phone from his hand and looked at the message. I feel like Nate mostly did this just to provoke Logan. Logan visibly got irritated whenever it had anything to do with Nate acting a certain way towards me and Nate knew that and always used it to his advantage.

I just stared at the phone screen wondering what the right thing to do was. If I answered that means Nate gets what he wants, but if I don't he'll just keep texting me. I glanced around the cafeteria to see if I could find him and sure enough, he was smiling while obtaining a seat with his friends across the room. I gathered my things, trying to prepare an intimidating speech for Nate.

"Where are you going?" Teddy asked as if he didn't know what just happened.

I looked back for a moment, "I'm going to talk to someone who's pissing me off." With every step I took going towards Nate, my anger grew. After last year, I just wanted to be friends and I told him that, but now he's just acting like a complete asshole. He expects that I'll choose him, that it will always be him no matter what, and it used to be that way, until someone took his place.

"Awe, your bitch didn't follow you here? I'm shocked," Nate stated as he put his hand to his chest in mock hurt.

"That joke wasn't funny the first time and it sure wasn't funny the second either, you should really start coming up with some new material Nate," I replied as his group of friends roared at my comeback. Nate seemed unimpressed when his friends laughed at my joke, but not his.

"You know...I meant what I texted you," he said calmly while holding my hand. Before I could remove his hand, Logan suddenly stood beside me and removed his hand for me.

"Why did you just touch her?" Logan calmly asked Nate surprisingly. "Last time you and I talked, you called her a slut, so why are you doing this? If you want to hurt me, make me mad, get on my fucking nerves, that's fine, do it, but don't drag her into this just because you don't like me," Logan took my hand in his.

"Oh, come on, Stel, you really gonna listen to this bullshit. I love you so much and I want to get back together, can't you see I'm serious? Logan is only going to hurt you and I made that mistake a long time ago, but I've learned my lesson, please just give us a chance," Nate pleaded. I removed my hand from Logan's and leaned down to whispered in Nate's ear.

"You never could say the words 'I love you' and actually mean it," I stood back up and walked away with my eyes starting to pool up with tears. I heard Logan's footsteps behind me.

"Hey, where you going?" He asked politely as he walked beside me.

"Outside, I can't be in here right now" my pace quickened as I got closer to the doors and Logan kept up with me. He grabbed my hand and lead me to the door. Once we got outside, he turned around to face me and wrapped his arms around me for a hug.

"I don't know if you know this, but I really hate him," Logan voiced sarcastically.

"Me too," I chuckled.

I popped off the cap to the red lipstick I found on my dresser and dabbed it on lips. I took one last look in the mirror before I headed downstairs. Logan was downstairs talking to my parents as I could hear them laughing.

I wore a short red dress that matched my lipstick, straightened my hair, and wore black heals. I made my way down the stairs and saw Logan standing in the doorway next to my parents. He smiled, then turned around so I couldn't see his face as he covered his mouth with his hand.

"What?" I asked as I made my way towards him. He turned around and smiled. His eyes started at my head then he made his way down as he took in my appearance. His hand covered his mouth again hiding his smile.

"Nothing," he said tilting his head back.

"Seriously, why are you like this?"

"You just look...so beautiful," he answered as he started to blush. I looked at him in his suit and thought the same thing about him, I just didn't say anything. "We should probably go if we don't want to be late," he added hinting for my parents to say goodbye.

I said goodbye to my parents and we got in his car.

I was sitting next to Logan in the theatre.
The lights from the stage were just enough to highlight his features. As the music intensified, I felt his fingers interlock with mine as he held my hand. I glanced over to him and saw a nervous smile tug at his lips while still keeping his eyes on the stage. I felt my face get hot and hoped that my palms didn't get sweaty. After I took about a minute to calm down, I lay my head on his shoulder unable to focus on the performance. All I could think about was him.
