Vienna then watched as Tristan turned around and he walked away towards the end of the corridor as she was still standing at top of the stairs. She felt nervous. She felt the urge to run. But she knew she had to do something. She had to put aside the risks and talk to Tristan right now when it mattered. Break time was too short and maybe she couldn't find him then. Also after school, it could be too late.

Vienna took a step towards the red line and hesitated. She thought of his words. She thought of his possessive look that he gave her making her shake to the core. He confessed to her how much she meant to him. It made her more afraid of him. It was scary how much he cared for her.... and it was scary how much she didn't mind. When she looked at him she just saw perfection, elegance and handsomness. He was a strong character. He had authority and he had an air of power around him that he achieved effortlessly. He was honourable but he had a darkness inside him. She knew that. She had witnessed what he did and had heard accounts of his actions to know who she was dealing with. It made her feel petrified but she had to put that aside.

Vienna watched Tristan reach the door of the high class common room. He turned around "Vienna. You should go..."

Vienna pleaded "Wait. We need to talk... What would you do to Edward after school?"

Tristan frowned "What would happen to him? What do you think? I would condemn him to what ever punishment it takes for him to make him learn his lesson that he should not touch you.... I wont change my mind about Edward." Tristan's eyes hardened "As I said, I would make it much worse for him. He shouldn't have run. I don't like chasing people."" He then went inside.

Vienna was bothered by what she heard. She hadn't done anything wrong and neither had Edward. She narrowed her eyes. Enough was enough. Now that he was gone from sight, she felt the urge to chase him. She heard her father's voice in her mind. His words from last night when he had kissed her good night came to her "Don't be afraid of anything... You are a Rosario." She took a deep breath and decided to confront Tristan. She walked past the red line towards the direction of where Tristan was going. She had to take risks. Her fate was to be the same as others who Tristan tormented when they trespassed. She had to do this for Edward and for herself. She had to tell him what she thought. It couldn't get any worse. She didn't talk to him openly when she was in that classroom alone with him because she was afraid of the consequences. But now Tristan had vowed to make it much worse for Edward. She had relied on Viggo to do something but he was busy in a meeting and she now was doubting how much he could help even with Vincenzo's help that was unlikely. So what could make it worse for Edward. She had noting to lose.

Vienna heard a voice from behind her as she was walking. It was Stefano's, his uncle Costanzo's son "Vienna, why are you here... You have to go." Vienna smiled. He was so caring and sounded worried. She turned around as she kept walking "I will be fine. I came here for a reason."

Stefano reached her and walked beside her " Whatever reason has brought you here, can't be good enough. Please leave. The elevator is just there... Just jump in it before Tristan sees you... please."

Vienna sighed "I have to do this Stefano. I just have to talk to Tristan. There is no other better time to speak to Tristan... I have to do this now."

Vienna arrived at the high class common room and opened the door and saw the boys were scattered around the room. Some were playing darts and some were playing chess. But they all froze and looked up in silence as they saw her. It wasn't hard to find Tristan since all boys immediately looked in direction of their captain who was in the corner sitting at the massive lunch table reading a magazine.

As the whole room fell silent, Tristan noticed and looked around and was surprised to find Vienna at the door. He stated "Can I help you Vienna?"

The boys were looking between Vienna and Tristan with their mouths open. Alexander was looking at Vienna as though he had seen a ghost and Stefano was also silently watching as he slipped inside.

Vienna nervously was standing at the door but she reminded herself of her father's words "Don't fear anything" She thought to herself... "What's the worst that he can do? The worst will happen to Edward either way unless you do something..."

Vienna bit her lip "I need to talk to you, Tristan... alone"

Tristan nodded and looked around "Every body out. Don't come back in to disturb us unless you want to be slaughtered."

The boys obeyed without hesitation. They grabbed their stuff and made their way out not looking at Vienna. Only Alexander and Stefano hesitated at the door. Alexander whispered "What are you doing? I will hold him up if you want. Just run..."

Vienna shook her head and whispered "I want to talk to him. He didn't force me to come. Its my decision."

Alexander shook his head and whispered to Stefano "Lets go man. We can't do anything if she wants to stay."

Once the room emptied, Vienna heard the door slam shut by the last person who left making her jump in her spot. She looked at Tristan who was looking at her with narrowed eyes still sitting on a chair behind the table. She would have given anything to know what he was thinking. He was looking at her silently with his content expression not giving away anything. Obviously he was waiting for her to speak first.

Tristan couldn't believe she had come. He thought she was going to back out. He was glad she was there. This meant she was not as scared of him as she used to be. Maybe this showed she trusted him not to hurt her. He waited for her to speak. He loved how she was standing at the door looking at him without looking away. That was a good sign.

He stood up and walked around the table. He leaned to the table as he put his hands in his pocket." Do you want a drink? Why don't you sit down and we can talk... Then we will discuss what should be the price for you to pay for trespassing." She deserved to pay but not like anyone else. He felt excited at having the chance to have her at his mercy. He was going to make the most of it. He then thought himself " Don't scare her off.... What are you going to do to her that she wont like? Nothing."

Vienna trembled visibly as his threat. He meant it. But she took a deep breath and told herself. " Don't be afraid. Tell him what you think. It can't get any worse than this for your or Edward..." She took a deep breath and started to walk towards him " I was eleven and you were twelve... We were playing Battles of Two Sides..."

Tristan raised an eyebrow. Where was she going with this? Battles of Two Sides was a game they used to play in his parents front gardens. The kids split into two groups and had toy guns. They used to play like two gangs at war. They took captives. They used to shoot using water and paint. It was boys versus girls. Tristan didn't enjoy it much when Vienna was at the opposite side.

Vienna stepped closer " He tried to shoot me. Vincenzo. He pointed at me and you jumped on him, on your own team mate.... That's when I realised you cared for me so much... You didn't care about winning then... You didn't care about Vincenzo taunting you the whole day for being soft. You didn't care. I hated getting wet and you knew that. It was just a game." She now was standing in front of Tristan as he was leaning to his table watching her curiously.

Tristan whispered " I remember. Your brother, the head-case liked hunting you down even after we won by a large margin getting over 90% of your team as captives...." At that moment he was resisting the urge to embrace her. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. Then he opened his eyes" Vienna... Do you know what you do to me?"

Vienna questioned as she gulped " You shouldn't ask me.... Let me finish please...."

Tristan nodded and tried to put her at ease by smiling " I like it that you don't look away. I don't bite if you look up, you know..."

Vienna felt more at ease now. She felt like her father was the reason. She felt like he was the one pushing her. Once she put away her fear she felt more relaxed but she was nervous even though less fearful. She took a deep breath and looked into Tristan's eyes " But that wasn't the first time or the only time.... For instance at my joint birthday with Viggo....I remember, Vitale and Andreas were there too .... We had a sleep over.... The boys came to the girls rooms. They sneaked in and we played ... spin the bottle."

Tristan smiled at the memory.... When they span the bottle, it was to pick someone to do a dare or order them to do something.... Whenever someone span the bottle and Vienna was the one to be dared, he volunteered to do anything she had to do. Vitale and Andreas had objected but of course he hadn't taken any of it.

Vienna continued " You defended me and helped me. You didn't have to but you did. You were so nice to me. Other boys turned on you but you didn't care,... You kept on protecting me.... Sometimes when you thought, I wasn't looking, I was. You always warned the boys off. You always treated me differently.... I liked how you were a gentleman. You were always there....... I realised that you didn't care who you had to fight, who you had to stand upto. You always had my back. We kept meeting again and again..... You never stopped protecting me ... In school, from your very first day, you warned off all the boys alongside Vincenzo. You were protective. You helped me alot.... You also stood up to Vincenzo for me when he kept bothering me about joining the art classes and the dance clubs. You kept telling him to respect me and you confronted him many times..."

Tristan sighed "Vienna where are you going with this?..."

Vienna took a deep breath. She told herself "Don't you dare back out now... Say it. He needs to know..." She swallowed hard as she felt his hard stare into her eyes intensify. He was losing patience. She bit her lip and let it all go " Tristan.... Why can't you see? You are ... special to me... We go way back. I have known you for years and you have always been there for me without expecting anything in return... You protected me... You defended me...Now.... I feel that.... I feel that......." She saw the surprise in his eyes. Vienna hesitated. She told herself "Do it. He has to know? It can't get any worse that it already is. You have risked coming here."

Tristan breathed "Don't... Don't say anything Vienna... You don't have to... Don't say anything you don't mean...."

The emotion behind his words made her heart jump. He was good at intimidation no matter how he looked at you. He just was. If he wanted to be, he was friendly. if he was on edge or he was impatient, you knew or rather he let you know... She couldn't tell what kind of stare it was. But she took a step backwards and gulped. But she closed her eyes and told herself "Do it... Don't fear anything... You are a Rosario... as father says..." She then opened her eyes and whispered "Tristan.... This is hard for me to say..."

Tristan shook his head and stated in an angry tone "Then don't say it. Don't. I never asked you to say anything...." He then thought to himself "Don't give me hope... How can you torture me like this?"

Vienna took a deep breath and spoke with determination "When I look at you... I feel scared... but ..."

Tristan took a step towards her making her take a step back. He spoke defensively "You fear me for what? What have I done to you? I would never hurt you."

Vienna took another step backwards and put her hands up and shouted desperately "Enough Tristan... That's enough... Let me talk... Please... We have to clear the air so you don't wrongly hurt Edward for something he didn't mean to even do..."

Tristan took another step towards her "Edward? of course, its about him.... You fear me of all people but you have no problem hanging out with Edward.... You have no problem being alone with Edward but you have a problem with me..."

Vienna had enough. She walked to him and closed the distance. When she was inches away from him, she looked into his eyes and let it all out "That is enough Tristan. I am not having this accusations thrown at me about Edward. I know you think something is going on but you are wrong. I feel offended when you are asking me about Edward ....... I hate it when you accuse me this way...You are just jealous.... Stop being jealous... There is nothing to be jealous about.... I hate it when you compare yourself to Edward or anyone else.... When you say to me I am interested in Edward, it hurts.... I couldn't care less about Edward..... I don't care about any boys actually. I am not interested in anyone... I came here to clarify this and to stop you from going after the wrong guy. I don't fancy Edward...Why should I?...."

Tristan retorted " But you are here for him.... You fancy Edward. You must do... I will kill him..." He then walked past her to the door.

Vienna turned around and froze "Wait... Where are you going?"

Tristan turned around "To get the guys to bring me Edward now... It shouldn't take very long to bring him. Maybe I want him to suffer right now... I can't wait until the end of the school. He has taken you away from me... out of no where he comes. I am not losing you to him... But before I get Edward I should ... let you leave.... I give you to the count of ten Vienna to run while you still can.... I wont hesitate to punish you for trespassing once the count is over. Leave... I let you go because you are my girl even if you don't accept it. Leave or you will watch how I will deal with Edward here ... I will crush him.... What's next? He will ask you out? Not a chance..."

Vienna was looking at him in disbelief "You can't do this..."

Tristan put his hands on his hips and started counting "1.... 2.... "

Vienna gasped and felt saddened. She shook her head and walked to him "Stop... Now.."

Tristan carried on "3... 4..."

Vienna closed her eyes and thought to herself "To hell with this." She opened her eyes and stood on her tip toes and kissed his cheek as she touched his rock hard chest with both her hands leaning to him for support. "Goodbye Tristan." It made him freeze.

She pulled away and stood straight back on her feet but still had her hands on his chest that she craved so much to touch. Her hands were trembling now. She was now frozen in shock and she was finding it hard to believe how electrifying it felt to kiss him.... Vienna breathed hard as she looked up " Edward made a mistake... No harm was done... He is sorry... But you want to hurt him and that would hurt me to know you go after someone who is innocent. What hurts is that I don't even have any feelings for him so why would you make him suffer? ... You compare yourself to him and other boys ... But the ironic part is.... For me.... No one compares to you...No one is like you ....... . No one comes close to you ... in my heart. I gave you the first kiss on the cheek I was saving to give you at the dance....But I gave it to you now as a good bye kiss instead.... If you hurt Edward it means you don't believe me when I say... you are special to me. Tristan, no one else comes close to you... No one... I may not be ready to go out with you or anything like that yet because...... I need time... I need to know you more... I need to get to know you more to be more comfortable..... I am sorry. I am not ready yet for relationships........ But I do like you... You either believe me or you don't.... if you believe me, you can hug me and kiss me on the cheek too. I let you...But if you don't believe me, just push me away and hurt me by hurting Edward even though he means nothing to me...."

Tristan was shocked. He couldn't believe this. Was he dreaming? Vienna had just kissed him? After all this time... He didn't need to be asked twice. He gently put his hands on her waist embracing her as he kissed her cheek too. How long he had waited for this, he had no idea...

Tristan reluctantly pulled away after he kissed her and looked at her "I believe you...."

Vienna asked nervously "Would you let Edward go? It was an accident... He didn't do any harm... Please... And he doesn't mean anything to me...."

Tristan nodded "Edward lives but I will still have a talk to him. He needs to be reminded of my rules...... I am sorry for doubting you... But you still trespassed..."

Vienna's lower lip trembled. She thought to herself "Is he serious?"

Tristan saw her visibly shake and then thought to himself "You got yourself a kiss... Don't make her scared." He then smiled "But because its your first time, breaking the rules.. I give you a small punishment..." He looked down "I will confiscate your ring... I will give it back to you by the end of term..."

Vienna quickly took off her ring that was just a ring that had her basketball team logo on it. Everyone in her team wore it. It was nothing special. She didn't mind this punishment at all. She handed the ring to Tristan.

Tristan took the ring and then thought to himself " Now I know your ring size... One thing off my tick list for future..."

Vienna asked as she bit her lip "Can I go now?" Her cheeks felt hot when she felt him look at her with an unreadable emotion..... She was finding it easier to look at him when he was more friendly.... She felt more relaxed... But still she was wary of him... He was still Tristan O'Neil.

Tristan cleared his throat and stated "Of course, you are free to go... Next time you wont be so lucky if you trespass..." He then thought to himself "Please drop by again. I have plans for you when you trespass again... I can't wait...."
