At one of his most luxurious hotel suites, Emanuelle O'Neil was standing at the window looking over his hotel grounds as he was thinking deeply.

Emanuelle was finding it hard to get his head around what had happened. He had to confront the beast. He didn't expect to have to confront him so soon.

Emanuelle had his suspicions about Vincenzo's relationship with his daughter but he had hoped he was wrong about him. He couldn't believe the beast could love his princess. Young people were wild. They made bold choices. They were adventurous. If his daughter had kissed anyone else on a dare maybe he could understand. If his daughter wanted to kiss a boy she was allowed to. Her mother had raised her to be able to make her own choices. But kissing the beast was a step too far. Why had she chosen to kiss Vincenzo of all the people? But that wasn't what bothered him the most. What bothered him was how the beast hadn't stopped his daughter from kissing him. The beast not only hadn't pushed her away, he had kissed her back too. One minute of kissing the beast could give him plenty of time to pull away. Why did he kiss his daughter back? The thought of the possible truth made his worst nightmares come to life right in front of him. He feared nothing more in his life than his daughter attracting the beast.

Emanuelle heard a knock on the door. He heard the beast speak " You asked for me."

Emanuelle responded harshly " Come in, son."

Emanuelle didn't turn around and took a sip from his Irish cream whiskey bottle that he had in his hand thinking about this kid he was meant to figure out... But Vincenzo was no typical teenager. He was a weapon. He was a killing machine. He was deadlier than the deadliest of men he had encountered. He was colder than the most menacing men he had worked with and he was more intelligent than many people he knew who had already been to college and were fully grown up educated men. Vincenzo was perfect in every way. He was a born leader capable of making anyone what he wanted. But also he had such a strong character to say no and not allow anyone force him to do anything he didn't want to do. That was where his headache started. If Vincenzo didn't want to kiss his daughter he would not have allowed her to touch him. Why hadn't he pushed her away?

Emanuelle turned around and looked at his tall and well built figure standing at a distance from him leaning to the closed door waiting for instructions.

Emanuelle took another sip from his whiskey and put it down as he walked towards Vincenzo as he stared into Vincenzo's eyes that matched his father's. Vincenzo was calm and didn't waver. He stared back without looking away. Emanuelle reached Vincenzo and stood in front of him " What a pleasure son to see you in my office past midnight? To whom do we owe this occasion I wonder... Am I correct that it is the Marciano girl again who made me leave your father's meeting room to come to this place? I thought some of my guards were misinformed when they said my daughter just kissed a boy who is not her boyfriend. Of course I need to do background checks before I let anyone touch my daughter... I drop by here and I hear that it's you ..." He then gave Vincenzo a bitter smile " Then my children inform me that this was all a game suggested by the Marciano girl. But before we get to dealing with her, I want you to think about what I am about to ask you. Think and give me an answer or I won't like it son." He then turned around and walked away as he sat down on a two seater sofa. He gestured to the sofa in front of him " Come. Sit."

Vincenzo remained silent and walked quickly to the sofa that O'Neil had pointed at. If O'Neil asked you to sit somewhere in his hotel, you must not have kept him waiting.

As Vincenzo sat down, he gave him a half smile. " Have a soda son..."

Vincenzo was frustrated but he didn't argue. Emanuelle O'Neil was watching his body language searching for something. Vincenzo nodded politely " Thank you." He then picked up a soda can from the table and popped it open as he took a sip. He noticed Emanuelle poured himself an Irish cream whiskey and drank it in one go. Vincenzo mirrored his actions and drank the soda in one go.

Emanuelle stood up and put his hands behind his back. He  then started circling Vincenzo's sofa making him wary.

Emanuelle stopped circling Vincenzo when he was behind him. Vincenzo felt his breath behind his ear as he spoke in a serious tone  " Would you like to tell me what your intentions are with my daughter?"

Vincenzo was taken back and jumped. O'Neil was hitting the nail on its head. He whispered " Sir, my intentions remain honourable to Terza. I protect her. I respect her...."

O'Neil shook his head and chuckled darkly as he put his hands on Vincenzo's shoulders. Vincenzo was certain O'Neil was contemplating on strangling him from his harsh tone " Don't sell me garbage son. I warn you. I know what I saw on the night of the sleepover at my house. You danced with my daughter. Now you have kissed her....."

Vincenzo replied politely " Sir, she kissed me..."

O'Neil warned " Dont play games Vincenzo because I will make you regret it. I want the truth son. Something possessed you to dance with my daughter and then kiss her..."

Vincenzo noticed the grip on his shoulders tighten. He replied " I danced with her because she lost a bet and she kissed me because she was dared to kiss me..."

Emanuelle let go of his shoulders and walked around the sofa as he spoke in a mocking tone as " Of course. My mistake." He walked to the table nearby. He took a sip from his Irish whiskey bottle as he spoke " Of course ... You at no point had the option to say no or push my daughter away. How noble of you son?" He then put the bottle down on the table and turned around " Son, we forget the dance for now... Tell me this ... You kissed her back. You didn't push her away... I need to know why? Answer the question..."

Vincenzo replied " If that is her wish to kiss me, I do not stop her... I respect Terza's choices."

Emanuelle shook his head " I am not convinced this was just an innocent teenage adventurous moment...."

Vincenzo retorted " I am sorry sir. I wish I could convince you..."

Emanuelle narrowed his eyes " So you want to be difficult." He turned around and walked to a drawer in the corner. He pulled out the drawer and picked up a dagger. He turned to Vincenzo  and looked him up and down. He then threw the dagger in his direction. Vincenzo didn't move but caught the dagger in his hands.

O'Neil instructed " Here is a dagger. I want you to go out there and bring me back Letizia's heart. Off you go..."

Vincenzo couldn't believe this. He stood up and asked " Pardon me sir. You would like me to kill Letizia."

Emanuelle laughed darkly "... You really don't expect me to let her live this time. Do you son? You are not giving me convincing answers and let's face it, Letizia has crossed the line. I am done playing nice. Son.... Take that dagger. Kill that troublesome girl. Bring her heart to me. If you can't do that then I will son.... By causing this unfortunate incident, she insulted my daughter..."

Vincenzo gasped. With one hand he clutched the dagger. With his other hand he made the sign of cross as he whispered a few words in Latin to Emanuelle's astonishment. Emanuelle didn't know Vincenzo was religious.

Vincenzo opened his eyes and walked towards Emanuelle " Sir. Do not ever say to me that Terza is insulted. The thought makes me very angry sir. Terza was not insulted today," He then stabbed the table in the middle of the room with the dagger " This dagger does not need to stab Letizia or anyone else tonight. You are totally mistaken sir." He then walked closer towards Emanuelle.

Emanuelle narrowed his eyes. " Am I mistaken son? I don't think so.... My daughter was insulted today... You kissed my daughter when you had no feelings for her so the person responsible has to be punished. I want you to kill that troublesome girl who caused my daughter to be insulted."

Vincenzo stopped in the middle of the room and gave out a frustrated sigh as he closed his eyes and made another cross sign as he said words in Latin.

Emanuelle was shocked looking at Vincenzo with his mouth open but he decided not to comment.

Vincenzo opened his eyes and banged his fist on the table " I asked you nicely not to say what you just did. Terza is not going to be insulted while I am watching..."

Emanuelle objected " Really? Then why did you kiss my daughter? Why didn't you stop what happened? Letizia insulted my daughter by suggesting to her to kiss a random stranger."

For the third time Vincenzo stopped and balled his hands into fists. He closed his eyes and with agitation he made the sign of the cross and said words in Latin to Emanuelle's shock.

Emanuelle was surprised " Son. Why do you keep praying? Why do you keep making the sign of the cross?"

Vincenzo sighed as he opened his eyes " Sir. You have no idea how ironic your question is..." He walked closer to Emanuelle and then leaned to a table as he stared at Emanuelle " Sir... I have to pray that I don't do anything or say anything that I regret. A prayer is all that's left between me and you. When you say Letizia insulted your daughter by suggesting to her to kiss me, I feel that you are saying to me that I dishonoured your daughter.... Now that's an insult to me...."

Emanuelle raised an eyebrow as he put his hands in his pocket leaning to the desk opposite Vincenzo mirroring his posture. He spoke " You want the Marciano girl to live so badly. Huh? Then convince me why you didn't push my daughter away. Something is missing in this picture. I need the missing piece or I want Letizia dead."

Vincenzo was now in front of O'Neil. He was staring into his eyes "Sir. I will give you a convincing answer but not today. Letizia needs to live and I have to keep her alive."

O'Neil replied " Tough luck for the Marciano girl then. She dies today. I can't let her go unpunished. She forced my daughter to kiss you... If she doesn't get punished today she will be punished by the man who is destined to take care of my daughter." He then watched Vincenzo closely.

Vincenzo spoke with meaning behind each word " The man who is destined to take care of your daughter, will do his duty. I am certain sir. If he doesn't you can stick a dagger in his heart no matter who he is."

Vincenzo's reaction made Emanuelle's hopes and brightness of the future to shatter. The way he spoke and the words he said confirmed his worst nightmare. This boy loved his daughter but for some twisted reason he was protecting Letizia. He put the pieces together when he had declared Letizia had to live and be kept alive. The beast was after his daughter and was not admitting it yet.
